LD42 — Running out of space

Debris Trail by chromableedstudios 2020-04-20T10:52:13Z

Thank you for the entry!

I am glad I was not drunk during this game otherwise I would have to pain the wall. It felt a bit nauseting.

I liked the idea of crashed spaceship. Visual is also good but I was not able to grasp the physics and how to behave in order to progress in the level. Anyway thanks to being it such a challenge it kept me playing because I just wanted to find out what is going on.

Keep at the work! Thanks!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Left in the Dark by Eldy 2020-05-12T07:27:34Z

Thank you for your entry.

I liked the style of the characters, good work there and overall it was pleasant to play thanks to the style.

But it was hard to get into the mood - maybe because of the missing music, not sure. I barerly saw anything I had to adjust my monitor, so it would be nice to set it a little bit brighter or at least have the option to do so in the game. Also the shooting/moving mechanics althought it was not hard to handle I think it would be better to leave have a clasic wsad for direction/sidesteps and mouse for rotation. Finding the cob of wood was also a lot about luck I think, which made me sad. :D

Anyway, it has a potential and I am glad you spend the time to present this game.

December 20XX by verrazano 2020-04-20T16:04:17Z

Thanks for the entry!

I was missing something to be really pulled in but in overall I had a feeling that there is some mystery going on so the narative was actualy good.

About the firebot. It would be nice to have a visualisation of how much power does he have so I could predict how much wood does he need. :)

Thank you for the sharing, i did enjoy my time with your game.

Cell Defence by bongo227 2020-04-20T12:22:11Z

Thank you for your entry!

Since the times of Star Gate I just love nano technology. Movement was smooth, didnt have any problem with it. I also went to the boarders to look from what the virus is spawned for and I saw the boogie man. It proves nice touch for details. Graphics was also very well done. Nice and clear. I just missed something to visualize the range of the turret. I was not sure where to place him to have a proper effect. If there would be some visualisation it would add element to the game because I would try to build my own network of turrets.

Anyway for some reason I missed something because I was not able to get into the mood. Maybe some ambient music in the bacground?

Anyway, good job!

Run A Morte by thecrancher 2020-05-08T08:13:08Z

Thank you for your entry.

It is a cool idea and really goes along with jam theme. It was one to play!

Thanks for taking your time to prepare the game.

Croze's Moving Castle by croze 2020-04-20T09:07:04Z

Thank you for your entry. I liked the idea that you are a feeder of the flame. Mighty feeder even. I like the leap technique even thought I would prefer not to lost the wood. Because I somehow leap throught the dark to the falcon space ship and there was a piece of shiny wood which I think would be good for the flame but the player without leap was so slow I decide it not to dwelve on it. I did get lost and could not find the way back - maybe minimap or at least pointer to the flame would be helpful. And the shiny pixel art was also warm and nice.

Seafood by fatPenguin 2020-04-21T14:06:54Z

Thank you for your entry!

It is a nice piece of work! I enjoyed the game a lot - graphics, audio (when the flower took the younglings). Only what was bothering me was showing me tutorial each time I failed at first level. :)

Nicely done! Thanks for sharing.

Keep the Beet Alive by Tad 2020-04-21T06:20:39Z

Thank you for your entry.

At first I thought that it is unbeatable but then I get used to it. Really nicely done - nice graphic, nice music. :)

Thanks for sharing.

The Heart Pieces by Sticmac 2020-04-20T12:03:09Z

Thank you for your entry!

Thanks to the music I felt like I really needed to keep the heart thumping. The movement was smooth, the idea simple yet enjoyable. Some more challenge would be welcome but apart from that I feel good and chill after playing it.

Just missing exit button (had to do alt+F4) and also I think more people would play it online. With unity and simmer.io it it a piece of cake to build it for web.

Thank you!

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-20T11:19:24Z

Cool artstyle and bow down for the usage of your own voice. :)

Fish Escape by PinballJunior 2020-04-20T15:58:31Z

Thanks for the entry.

Interesting mechanism, smooth movement and clean and simple graphic serving its purpose. With the sound creating the mood it would be production ready game.

PS.: My all knowing partner loves the game. :)

The flame of life by taran.unraveler 2020-04-20T09:29:39Z

Thank you for your entry.

I wish I could done this type of particle effects on my own, it was really lovely. If you are willing to share, write my, I would love to learn that.

Even thought the music in pleasant it game me vibe of the "adventure" which was not going hand in hand with the game.

For me it was frustrating that the happy emoji were generated in a way that there was no way to collect them all. You know the song? "I want to be the very best, like noone ever was. To catch them is my real test.." - simply, i want to catch them all!

Good job anyway, thanks.

Ecorobotical by TomekS 2020-04-20T09:15:55Z

Thank you for your entry.

As soon I saw the robot I had to play it because it reminds me one of my favorite movies when I was a little.

About the game - the control was fast to handle, but to learn to move the cargo, thats something else. I spent like a minute to get it away from the wall. Anyway the physics is cool. I liked the idea that if you push to hard the flower will be "capsized, thanks google". I also did some spinning with the robot at 2nd level and it was somehow fun. Graphics was enjoyable and the audio set the correct mood.

Congrats, nice entry.

Quest for Cake by Juutis 2020-04-20T07:26:15Z

Thank you for the game! It was enjoyable. I liked the low poly graphics and the dog long neck was just lovely. Firstly I was no able to find any cake, because I thoughts there were toilet papers. :D My bad, should look to HUD.

At one moment I died and was not entirely sure why - I missed some feedback about the dog shape, or what did i ate. Sometimes the angle of the camera was covering me the information.

edit: also the menu is hard to read

Tiger Chow by Dan Thompson 2020-05-11T16:59:06Z

Thank you for the entry.

I smiled at least two times which is a lot, because I am not in a mood today. :-D First time it was when I had to chop the dear and second time when the end screen came up.

And when some games leave an emotion in the player, it is a good game according to me.

Anyway I was missing some challenge. :)

Cosmic Felk is Dead! Long Live Cosmic Felk! by Qazikol 2020-04-20T16:20:27Z

Thanks for the entry.

I had a good vibes from the game. If I would not playing ludum dare games together with my all knowing partner I would for sure finish this since it is a first time I played something like that. I am not sure if my choices had some impact. Was it just story telling or there are some alternative endings? :)

Anyway, if it would be long game I would not be able to read the text since it was a bit hard to read it.

Thank you for sharing!

The Great Return by Attala 2020-04-21T06:27:30Z

Thank you for your entry.

This is a beautiful piece what you did there. Took me some time to get used to how to control my chicken, but it was worth to invest the time. :)

The Last Ship by FedorL 2020-04-20T06:58:17Z

Was not sure what to do but i Liked it was zooming out.

Late Medieval Network Engineer by MisterKeefe 2020-04-20T11:04:33Z

Thank you for your entry!

I did really feel like I was in the late medival. It means that the graphic was done well and served it purpose. I personaly liked games where the action have some consequences and this game was full of it.

Thank you!

Dicelem: Rise of the Golem v0.9.0 - demoversion by Snory 2020-04-20T08:02:09Z

@piko-monde Thank you for your feedback and congratulations to reach the 50/50! Honestly I thought it is impossible. There is section "Help" at the main menu but as I was reading it now it does not seems to be so clear at it was at 2 p.m. Will add description here. :)

Dicelem: Rise of the Golem v0.9.0 - demoversion by Snory 2020-04-20T11:36:32Z

@nikita-demidov There never was a mightier golem than you walking on the earth.

No seriously, it seems like a bug, but not sure what happened from the picture. :/

Dicelem: Rise of the Golem v0.9.0 - demoversion by Snory 2020-04-20T11:52:21Z

@sticmac Thanks for feedback! You are right, I did switch the sides. :D Thanks. I am not sure if i am going to continue exactly with this game but I have an idea about a spell book where the spells are going to cost you some dice.., well, i think i will stick with the dice mechanics and it possibilites for a while. :id:

@inka-mcatee Thanks, nice to hear that!

Dicelem: Rise of the Golem v0.9.0 - demoversion by Snory 2020-04-20T12:08:29Z

@lalada Thank you for the words. The problem is that as I was play testing it I get used to it and required more challenge without thinking that there are going to be people who never played it. Next time I am going to keep that in mind.

Dicelem: Rise of the Golem v0.9.0 - demoversion by Snory 2020-04-20T13:19:34Z

@jonathanjoseph Thank you for the feedback. Sadly I have to agree that it is boring. I relized in the moment of finishing the prototype. Imagine that - finishing something what you know is boring, the tempation to change something in order to make it fun. But I sticked to the plan, because any change could mean that I am not going to finish my first LD.

Dicelem: Rise of the Golem v0.9.0 - demoversion by Snory 2020-04-21T17:27:39Z

@fatpenguin Thank you for taking time to give me such a feedback. Unfortunately I did not become fun of the witcher game series, but i am going to take a look on the dice poker game! :)

Dicelem: Rise of the Golem v0.9.0 - demoversion by Snory 2020-05-08T07:40:39Z

@thecrancher Thank you for taking time to do leave the feedback. You had some good ideas over there with adjusting the throw for enemies! I really like that. :)

Mother Of Dragon by ceriseghost 2020-05-12T12:19:05Z

Thank you for sharing.

I liked the artstyle. Some music would be nice since it is a jam game and some different challenge, gun or something like that would be nice refresher. :)

This game could have more ratings and more people would enjoy it if only you would take a time to be active member of the community.

GolFISH by Willoftw 2020-04-20T07:48:09Z

This was fun to play! And when i realized it is a golf I had to laugh for the first time today. Would be cool if the oxygen would run out quickly on sand and so on. :)

Embers by Barelos 2020-04-20T08:57:54Z

Thank you for your entry. I must admin I did enjoy it even thought I would not be afraid to make it harder. I loved the little talks in bubbles it had a nice touch. :)

Keep It Happy by lalada 2020-04-20T07:18:07Z

Thank you for the game! Really interesting idea. Sotimes I was not sure how and i won the level or not (level with dinosaur) but it was enjoyable. Only the audio was killing my ears after some time it would deserve something softer.

Nature by rjerez192 2020-04-20T07:49:51Z

This is absolutely astonishing. I am amazed what you were able to create in 48 hours. There is everything - good sounds, good graphic, feedback of your actions, warnings, tool tips. Wow. :)

Flameout by Tetrago 2020-04-20T15:38:16Z

Thank you for your entry!

About the lesson learned of yours. I think it is quite the opposite. First thought is usualy the best base for game. This is a prove since it is a good and enjoyable game. Somehow even the music set the right mood.

Well done, thanks for sharing.

Dragon Flower by timeloopedpowergamer 2020-04-20T07:06:53Z

Thank you for your game. There was a red screen, prob I lost, but some feedbak would be nice. But I liked the idea (dragon flower, never heard that!).

Anti-Matter by MikDionio 2020-04-20T16:12:58Z

Thanks for the entry.

I had a lot of fun (made it to around 3500 points). I really liked the idea - simple, yet fun and challenging. Do it for android and you have a formula for success. :)

I was a bit confused about the negative score, but i stoped thinking about it while playing. So I guess it does not matter.

Thank for creating and sharing.

Social Distancing For LadyBugs by mehrdadsh 2020-04-20T07:58:14Z

Lovely music and fun to play game. I had my first entry this year also and I have to admit you did a great job delivering completed game which keep people trying to get the high score. Not sure if you remember game where the bugs where running on your desktop and you had a tools to kill them (flamethrower etc) but it left the same vibe in me and thats good i played the game a lot when i was younger. :)

Scoop by JonathanJoseph 2020-04-20T14:25:58Z

Thank you for your entry.

I enjoyed the game. Smooth, simple. Maybe the reaction to input could be a little more subtle but I get used to it.

Thanks for sharing.

Save Ivee by Furfel 2020-04-20T10:35:03Z

Thank you for the entry!

When I start doing games back in october of 2019 my first thought was "I want to do something will color!" (https://robinontheway.blogspot.com/2019/11/on-way-to-review-work-on-survival.html) but in ended with the failure.

This is exactly what I hoped I would think of! Long story short - I like the idea a lot! Only the movement bothered me quite a lot.

Other thing what I liked is the tutorial. It was quite nice from you. I will make a note and next time i will prepare a tutorial also.

Thanks!¨

Egg Rocket Unicorn by ubershmekel 2020-04-20T09:22:36Z

Thank you for your entry.

It had a nice soft touch thanks to the music and the story. I even felt a bit sad and thanks to being though grown-up man I ddd not cried at the end when my unicorn left me. If such a short game left this feeling at the end it means it was done right.

Edit: Maybe I would slown down the acceleration.

Good job, thanks.

Machine Gun Chicken by SaeedPrez 2020-04-20T08:27:28Z

Totaly awesome. I really felt the action in my blood veins (a lot thanks to the music). And also..chicken with machine gun? Sold just as I saw it.

I only missed the "step-aside" on a and d and aim on the mouse. Somehow thats what i am used to. But in the end it doesnt even really matter, i had fun.

Mine of Shadows by JesmoDev 2020-04-20T10:45:20Z

Thank you for your entry!

I felt a bit depressed and cozy after I stop playing the game. Almost like when you are whole life alone on the quest noone else would do and you just somehow get used to the enemy enviroment. Dont take it badly it is good, if the game is about something, its about leaving some emotions and you left a mark in me.

Graphics in done well. Only problem which I had was the way of interacting with the coal and aiming. It did not feel natural to me. Shame on missing the ui elements, it would boost the game a lot!

Good job, thanks. :)

FlameJump by Les poulpes roses 2020-05-12T12:13:53Z

Thank you for sharing.

Jumping mechanic is rather unusual. I had a lot of problem to jump higher. Also you have a so called "sticky walls" problems here. Quick trick is to use PhysicsMaterial with frinction set to 0. :)

Anyway I think it had a potential.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Mr. Cheeks Sweet Dreams by MrTroy 2020-10-06T17:19:10Z

Really nice art and the hamster was fun also. I would not lokk at it at told "ok, this is stuck in loop" but it is very nice entry. Also I almost missed the part of UI showing us what should be collect.

Thank you for the entry!

Time Crash by Gonzalol 2020-10-21T03:09:55Z

This uplift my mood after morning. Even though my brain was not ready for such a game I did enjoy it! It matches the theme, has nice graphic, sounds are ok, idea is simple yet fun.

Perfect work. :)

WhileFox by Snory 2020-10-07T05:16:35Z

@theaidency, @m7rk, @simplepotential, @thomas-volpato thank you for your feedback, I already did corrections so it would be more understandable. If you have a spare time, please feer free to try it and let me know if it is more clear.

Loopsky by Matootsy 2020-10-21T03:22:47Z

I had not problem to start the updatet version as fellow @lereveur, justo say so.

The concept of the game is really cool. I was a bit jealous. :) Also the tutorial was done very well. I always have a problem with proper tutorial, but this was really helpful. :)

Never End by Finn_Tr 2020-10-06T17:31:32Z

We really felt the mood so good job with the graphic and audio. It was also challening just enough not to be boring. I would appreciate the topic to be more used.

Thank you for the entry, it was.., well simply executed very well.

Bjorn to Dance by Tomh 2020-10-06T14:58:34Z

Graphic is really nice and the game is polished. At first I was not sure what to do (i just started the game without reading anything), but it was a pleasant experience.

Thnks for sharing.

YOUR TIME by m7rk 2020-10-07T05:23:13Z

Cool entry. The music somehow reminded me Heroes of might and magic 2, not sure why. :D It would be cool if the clones actualy would show path you took in your previous steps. Seems like you took your time to prepare this entry for us and I can say it left good impression, so good job. :)

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Loop by Geckoo1337 2022-04-11T17:29:32Z

@digitaldude555 lol, i can see you smashing the spacebar yelling "suckeeeeers" but still not ending up first.

The music somehow hypnotized me so that I could spend a hell of a time by playing this.

Good game, really good.

Numerus Maximus by SimplePotential 2022-04-04T22:24:11Z

I like how clean the game is.

At first I was trying to use the rule that no neighbor number can be consecutive but it was not enough to be in charge of the game.

Also "special" powers are cool idea. Try to come up with some logic which can be somehow predicted and i think you have a good little game. :)

Terrasite by superjai 2022-04-08T06:11:45Z

I think that as far as it goes for LD games I played this one for the longest time because it was pure pleasure. Wasnt sure how can I loose till I noticed that the platforms got destroyed because the big alien ship was no taken down by railguns, but I had fun anyway.

Thanks!

22h38 by Katutt 2022-04-05T11:18:06Z

I almost wanted to sing a song. It was like someone is sitting next to me and playing on guitar. Altought the music after the bridge was a little bit too loud. :(

It took me some time to light up the shrine, so maybe a hint that it will create a checkpoint at the start would be nice. As soon as I find out that the shrine will delay the inevitable I started to search for them and the game flourish in front of me.

I have nothing to suggest, sorry. It is pretty nice entry.

Thank you!

fireme.club by velvetlobster 2022-04-05T16:07:31Z

+10 points to Gryffindor for Chewbacca! I liked the vibe of the game and as it was my first auto battler I have to say that I am interested to see more thanks to this entry. :)

Maybe, just maybe I found a bug - when the "powers" were balanced, the autobattler stopped. On both sides we had same amount of power/lifes so it would end up with draw.

Hairless Soon by Beebo Studios 2022-04-08T14:50:33Z

Nice game with cute wolrd and graphic.

Some times for improvement:

- for the inventory at the bottom of the window i would somehow show that you cant use it since you dont have it - indicate the hair which can be cut down - indicathe the area where you can grow hair (i was not able to place them everywhere)

Walk of life by ThePhennix 2022-04-09T08:35:25Z

Humour is for sure around 4 - 5 stars. I have to say some levels pissed me off at beginning but after i discovered how to pass them it was rewarding and made me feel like pro.

I had to fail some levels before finishing them just to see the after effect of my failure. :D - Starving because I did not clean my room? Like "You are not going to have a lunch till you clean your room young man?!" :D

Second level was somehow annoying on multiple runs. It was something with the hand being so slow, i dont know.

overRUN by Kaleido 2022-04-07T11:55:05Z

Cool game! It was smooth and fun. :)

May I ask what path finding did you use? Standalone A*, A* with some modification or something else?

Tips for improvement:

I would allow some zombies to entro houses, because I just deployed troops on roofs and it was piece of cake after. :) troops.png

Spores & Suffocation by IvanPavlov 2022-04-05T06:32:15Z

The graphics is really need and i think i just fall in love with adventures again. It was pretty satisfying to find a way how to get past the broken section.

I would work on the space craft UI a little bit (put some grid over here or something like that). There is also bug which I was not able to reproduced:

bug.png

My partner did not like the sounds but i think it was pretty good and you had to have fun while recording it. :D

But overall it is a nice game!

Heal me, please! by Andrey_Zhukov 2022-04-05T11:47:25Z

I was looking forward to play this game since the day I saw a print in the channel because it looked like taking care of someone as it is in my game.

But in the end it is something totally different. I liked how each cure fired back with disease (I think this is what make it inevitable, right?) which create a nice game loop. Not sure if the ones with the "?" were random or just hidden and I had to figure it out.

Graphic is really good, I like this kind of graphic. :)

What I missed is some challenge, I did not feel any conflict or call for action. Maybe to put some timer somewhere? Also I could sell all my hearts for money and then it would restore my hearts and I could start again.

Rockagatchi by CypherDoesStuff 2022-04-05T06:20:03Z

As someone who also made a game about needy "pets" and I have say I like the approach via minigames. I always stuggle to put humour into the game, so taking care of rock is brilliant idea. :D So in short it is inovative, funny and pleasant take on the theme. :)

DeePenguin Boreal Offensive by Bruyère Alice 2022-04-05T07:19:57Z

Visual is really impressive and the music is exactly right for the mood which the visual set, good work.

I like the idea that you can move already set up tower, it add a new strategy to the old tower defense genre.

I think it is a great game with a lot space to grow. :)

Things to improve:

- I would make the spot for towers more visible, at least 45 second after the game started for the first time I was a bit confused - Remove the 3 points to spent based on time, because at lvl 6 I had so much dmg that i barely saw and enemy or make it per tower so the points are more distributed buff.png

NeedyMonsters by Snory 2022-04-04T22:08:56Z

Hello @thedevatlas thanks for the test run! As it is now after "certain" level of creature they will stop providing you free resources to the satisfier stock and will demand more and more. So if you dont have enough money in this phase of the game, you need to sell the monster or it will burn all your resources.

At least that was the idea.

NeedyMonsters by Snory 2022-04-05T11:06:35Z

Hello @tombuston

Thank you for the feedback.

Each creature in fact give you a specific resoures from its own category up to level 5 in average. I think that even if the info somehow provide "hints" about it I agree I should make this much more clearer and visible so everybody understand why to sell/look at info/buy and etc and create its own strategy.

Thanks!

NeedyMonsters by Snory 2022-04-08T13:31:06Z

@sofignedova the events are definitely good idea! thanks for feedback. :)

NeedyMonsters by Snory 2022-04-08T14:40:31Z

@theunusualart, @black-flag , @bastilo thank you!

@quinn-patrick thank to you too..., I had hard time to tame the resolution. Will learn something about it for the next game jam to avoid it.

1 Man 6 Bullets by Raphaeltan 2022-04-08T10:54:06Z

Simply put - amazing. :)

Ballgeon by koro.games 2022-04-05T08:58:10Z

Cool, polished game. It was really fun. Not sure how it followed the theme, but boy it was punishing to go for health. :)

I was in state with two balls, but i Can image having more and switch them buy some key on keyboard or something like that. :)

This game has a great potential. Make it happen or i will steal it. :D

GRIDLAST by cakts 2022-04-05T08:43:19Z

I like the idea behind the mechanis, the graphic and the music. Cool game. I bet it took some time to make it happen.

Ares for improvement:

- I am not sure how the dmg from enemy works, sometime they gave me dmg when they came close, sometimes after some of my actions

- I had one card to heal myself, but apart from that i didnt know how to heal. With combination of the point above it was hard for me to be in control of the game

Thanks for the entry, it was a pleasure to play it. :)

Colony Defender by Henrik Ganard 2022-04-05T15:58:52Z

I cant say that the balance is off or not because I placed a lot of towers, destroying everything around the base but then for some reason game over appeared. Same when I was trying to play for the second time.

Anyway, i can imagine myself to immerse into it a bit more. Good game, thanks.

IRS'isnt by TheDevAtlas 2022-04-04T22:18:47Z

Ah, after reading comments, it is much more clear. I was still trying to find out what I did wrong.

I like the overall idea of the game. Monsters reminded me Flubber with Robin Williams and the agent looked pleasant. :)

No Match by Peche et Tradition 1867 2022-04-04T22:33:06Z

I think this is my favorite so far.

The graphic and sounds reminds me old casino games which makes me feel good and comfortable.

The game is challenging and you can play it multiple times with additional value of training your brain.

Really good job!

Wormageddon by MatterLinx 2022-04-08T07:41:57Z

Wow, that was fun! I cant tell anything what another comments already did not stated.

I would like to really know how you did the scene (is it 2d,2.5d, 3d?). Shame you do not share the source code. :)

In the web version bug occured. I was able to reproduce it multiple times. It is when the laser from the worm is directly pointed towards me and I am able to shield it:

Hello @chingle

You have my respect. I always wants to come up with simple yet challenging and fun idea and every time i try to do so i failed. But your game delivery this without any problem. :)

Tips for improvement:

- button to mute the sound :)

AquaGone by firescape games 2022-04-07T12:47:08Z

"For educational purpose only" lol. :)

The shop hidden in the pond reminder me some star wars game in the style of Jedy academy where there were hidden places. It was a good feeling. :)

Nice entry, thanks.

The Gallows by Burn Tree 2022-04-08T13:37:24Z

Boy, that was melancholic and cute at the same time. Definitely full 5 for the mood. :)

I would like to offer you good advice to improve the game (same way you suggested for me) but I think its perfect as it is. :)

Mr. Second by Marvis 2022-04-08T18:05:03Z

I am glad I find out this game! Such a pleasure to play it. Nice graphic, sound fit in smoothly and the mechanic, simple at it is core, is very well executed. :)

Human Resource by Tieran 2022-04-05T09:25:52Z

Hello

Thank you for your entry. It sure looks promising. Office is well done - from graphics (i wasnt thinking even for a second that this is not how office looks like) and the sound which was on the right border between "rushing, stressing" and "its just a game, keep calm".

As an area for improvement I would introduce some clever AI. I think that for this type of game the GOAP would fit very well: https://learn.unity.com/project/goal-driven-behaviour?courseId=5dd851beedbc2a1bf7b72bed. It is because I did not have a problem to avoid boss at all. So combination of problem (like broken machine for coffee) with need of the boss (like he just decided that he needs a coffee) would require player to cross path more often.

Thanks!

SHAMAN, DO SOMETHING! by Georgii Gerasimov 2022-04-05T06:45:46Z

Hello

i like the idea and i see a lot of work behind this funny take on resource management game.

It took me some time to find out that I can move with the shaman and that the spells are casted by space bar (well i had to read the instructions under the video). But after that I started playing.

Graphics is nice, the music is really shaman like :D, not sure I felt impact of something being inevitable during my play, but i bet that for a long run it is here.

So it is a neat resource management package with potential for the future.

Points to work on futher:

- Spells: - Spells has cool graphic but too often I found myself without a spell to cast. An information about new spell available would be nice. Description of in game impact of the spell would also help a bit, but it is just a detail because on the other hand I like to trying to find out the mechanics by myself.

- Crowding: - Soon enough it was hard to move around

LD53 — Delivery

Too Hot to Hendl by Fis 2023-05-02T11:03:17Z

Simple, nice, polished, well done.

I also love the fact that you store which levels I made. :)

Last Supper Shuffle by magus77 2023-05-03T18:02:49Z

"Boing" or what was that sound when jumping up.

You certainly captured the essence of the theme, which was immediate depression. Good job there!

The Herd's Journey by Vhalenn 2023-05-02T10:10:33Z

Graphics and music is top notch! Oh boy I hope one day I will be able to deliver something like that. :)

I just had a problem with the camera control, but thats something what others have already mentioned.

Thank you for the entry!

Hungerztec Games by Snory 2023-05-04T05:10:21Z

@momo-hunter thank you for the feedback. Tutorial is in the game but it is True that even when you read it does not ensure that you Will comprehend it. :(

Dear all

Thank you for the feedback. :)

You're doing crate by LucaVazz 2023-05-02T12:07:28Z

Over"delivered"?

I like the idea and also the fact that you manage this type of game during the jam with analytics included. I would just add the posibility to rotate around because I was not able to see some of the items clearly.

In the tutorial part one after I packed non priority item I was not able to release it from the hands to the floor, it kept stucked.

Nice entry, thank you. :)

Do you use GODOT 4.0 with C# or their own script?

To: Tony by miraculousMelon 2023-05-02T07:37:20Z

Hello

Thank you for your input. I thoroughly enjoyed playing your game! The mood was just right with the perfect blend of sound and lighting, and the attention to detail was impressive.

While I understand that the list format of "error" fits well with the game's setting, adding different visual or auditory cues could enhance the player's experience without sacrificing the game's aesthetic while keeping up the tempo of the game.

Keep up the great work!

Light My Fire by Crygos 2023-05-02T08:34:07Z

I must say, your game reminds me of the good old days of Miniclip games! Despite its simplicity, the sound effects really helped me focus on the game. I found myself playing it multiple times, I must have had around 10 runs, and it definitely kept me engaged.

Was the barking your own voice? :)

Dungeons & Deliveries by sorreveloper 2023-05-03T17:04:00Z

What a great idea! I even love the fact that the courier, even though he didn't know where the place was at first, knew the exact time when he would be there.

As a base layer of the game it is really good, for the retention layer I would add something what you can carry between the levels and with that, you have a great game. :)

The Sky of Berlin by Lee_HaoChen 2023-05-02T07:27:23Z

Hello

Thank you for your input. Although the game may not be visually stunning, I still enjoy playing games like this as if they were AAA titles. I personally struggle with creating appealing visuals, but I hope that the gameplay itself can still provide an enjoyable experience.

I see where you were heading with the game, so keep it up. :)

Hotel Frenzy by LightPotato 2023-05-03T17:12:50Z

I always admire people who are able to come up with simple, yet very addictive games... and you just became one of them.

The tutorial is super simple and very well placed.

I would maybe add something what will tell you that there are more level with different styles, because I tried a few delivers and thought "ok, understand" and wanted to move one, but the comments made me replay it. :)

Ninth live by evilgeniusdance 2023-05-02T09:14:09Z

I have a soft spot for psychopomps, so you got me there!

The concept was interesting and the graphics put me in the right mood.

I did struggle with the green monster despite being quiet.

Adding a visual cue or a noob mode could help players understand the noise level better and make progress in the game.

Overall, I enjoyed playing it.

LD55 — Summoning

Board to Death by LandoSystems 2024-04-18T16:40:37Z

Wow, originally I was about to create some turn based myself, but I thought it is impossible to come up with something, but you proved me wrong! It is a bit slow so I did not managed to finish the game, but I liked the take on chess, the music matching the art and the humor (are you really a go player?).

Thank you for your submission.

Cummon Summon by asfdfdfd 2024-04-16T18:21:02Z

So the idea is nice, the art is very good, sound match the vibes. At first I wanted to give up not being able to kill the first monster, but when I found how to kill him and with that the rest, it made me happy. And thats the point of playing, isnt it?

I can imagine adding a bit more tactics to the fight and you have a lovely game here. Keep up at the good work!

The wolf was hilarious. :)

Split-Decision by ColeSlaughter 2024-04-19T05:57:00Z

Holy moly, that UI is slick.

I would add some tutorial, not "tutorial" like a lot of text, but I think this game would benefit from the progression tutorial. For example "Split these" .., once you split them "now the blue give you .. " and so on as it took me a while to figure out what is going on and even after that I was not sure how to achieve proper score.

[edit]: I just noticed the ton of text in description of the game, it helps, but..still, i would put it directly to the game. :)

The game mechanic is well thought off yet simple, which I admire most.

Snack Summoner by Air Dinghy 2024-04-17T05:56:32Z

Ok, I like the idea of high score per summon! I would take this a bit father and made the gameplay for each a little bit unique in some way. Something along the lines that you would have to follow the lines of the summoning circle and arrive to the right spot at the right time. So each summon would have different circle. :)

Anyway, the game has a potential, the resolution is indeed awkward but I do try some games on mobile while..you know, making mine job on WC so I can imagine that in this case it would make me happy.

Glyph Tower by YogurtTheHorse 2024-04-16T17:57:41Z

Very good entry. I am curious what sort of algorithm did you use, 1$? Would be nice to have an access to source code.

Anyway, it was fun. I think that some of the glyphs could have better feed back (like escape) and the camera would not have to shake that much, but boy.., did I have fun. :)

Thank you!

Save Baby Cthulhu by Cloistered 2024-04-17T15:57:29Z

It would be cool mobile game! Nice.

I would make the pointing a bit faster at the start so I would not go for baby coin right away to be sure that I have enough money when it will go faster.

Also, I am quite sure that there were to babies in one, because I lost two hearths by allowing one to go through?

Anyway, thanks for sharing and finishing!

Sick of Summoning by cheesepencil 2024-04-19T07:16:10Z

This would take him whole Ludum Dare so hat down.

It plays on nostalgic note, which is great, because it reminded me that these simple games were all it took to spend whole afternoon after school playing games.

Revenge on Grim by Bry 2024-04-17T06:04:33Z

This is top notch, certainly 5 stars. I was thinking in past about this mechanic when I saw on youtube the famous "scam" game. It was with swords rotating around you. It was a nice to play this type of game. Fun as I think it would be. And oh my god, you even added a boss!

I had a urge to "click" when i was near a jar so it happened to me few times that I clicked something what I did not wanted to, because it was enough to get close to the jar.

Sacrifice acolyte by Snory 2024-04-17T16:08:46Z

Thank you all!

@matthewdrake I especially appreciate your feedback because I know I was not able to give you proper one. So thank you!

Sacrifice acolyte by Snory 2024-04-17T19:12:03Z

For some reason, seeing comment from you ( @wouter52 ) is like meeting an old friend. :)

In each of my games I am struggling with how much to tell the player. I was always fond of games which don't tell you anything and you have to figure it out by trial and error. But you are right, it would be more playable.

Summoner's Paradise by poboy 2024-04-17T16:04:22Z

Ok, I finished it (cant tell that about many games) so it was definitely catchy. What is more, I had motion sickness during the whole experience. But once you offered me more nipples, I knew I have to finish it to see what else is there. I even chose to die, thinking I will get something from it, haha.

Nice, thanks you for your entry.

Summoner's Emporium by imwonderr 2024-04-16T18:05:43Z

Neat entry!

When I was going through tutorial it was like. First room - ah, ok, going to produce slimes, nice. Second room - ok and the produces slimes are going to give me essences. So there is a risk reward system, very good. Third room - wait, there is more? Now I can make potion from it? Ok, they took it pretty far and then boom.. fourth room - I can sell them.

The art is loveable, the music was a bit too much repetitive, but I tried my own music and failed, so I know how hard it is to get even repetitive so I admire that.

Parsley by Wouter52 2024-04-17T19:27:58Z

As an owner of now three cats, I approve.

It was a nice chill, the sound was doing a lot, it was like I am outside, sitting on the bench, watching cats. At first I thought that the sleeping cat was some kind of bug (haha, cat as bug) as I was holding shift all the time not to scare some prey, but when I caught everything I realized what was their purpose. :)

Thank you for your entry, it was a blast. :)

Pulse of the Ethereal by DzejPi 2024-04-16T04:21:33Z

Hello

Amazing compo submission! The music is right on spot, I was imagining myself staying in front of arcade machine playing it thanks to the music.

I was trying to play it with a mouse, it was a bit challenge, but I manage to get used to it.

Fury Duty by krummja 2024-04-16T18:10:59Z

Good vibes, nice idea - a bit stretch, but still nice. Good job. :)

I believe that "J" is punch, "K" is block and "L" is kick

Démon Puzzle Attack by Roroto Sic 2024-04-18T16:44:22Z

It took me a while to notice there are things going on at the top of the game! :D I liked the idea, enjoyed the switching, was pleased by the art and had to turn the music a bit down.

Thank you!

Part-Time Familiar by MatthewDrake 2024-04-17T15:44:50Z

Not my type of game, so I am not sure if I can provide a good feedback.

Graphics are nice, I like that you have an additional info upon hoovering over some underscored text, it makes the world alive. The game itself is a nice twist for the theme - being summoned. The mood is definitely here.

So I am going to give you score for the categories I feel I can decide, the rest is more for people who enjoy it much more than me. :)

bergs by burnttoastdev 2024-04-17T15:37:53Z

Ok, cant tell much because that was awesome. Innovate, the "eeej" sound is a catchy, tutorial in form of slow progression is most them welcome.

Great entry.

The Summoned Struggle: Tales of a Tag-Along Demon by MartenJ 2024-04-17T16:19:38Z

I like the idea of companions collecting reputation so that they can be called upon when the heroes needs them! :D I also liked the art. I was hoping to try spawn just ranged attack after I collected 20% bonus, but I failed to do so, boooo.

I would just make more obvious that you have collected enough to go fight with a boss and somehow make the melee more enjoyable as I was just left clicking the hell out of it.

I got lost in Finland and a local man invited me into his home to teach me how.. by Kaaren Tenson 2024-04-16T04:25:57Z

Interesting twits on the theme. I like when the game does not give everything to you and you have to figure it out, so that was good. I was expecting in the history not what he said, but what I used and some kind of % of how close I was to satisfy him. That way it would be (from my POV) more playable.

Was that a finish vault guy from Fallout by the way? :D

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Fireflies by manabreak 2024-10-09T05:00:12Z

Ended up in the math part of the game.

I like how the slowly build up on the usage of lanterns. I like the atmosphere of the game which is coming together nicely thanks to the art, music and sound effects.

TinyShip by Snory 2024-10-09T04:36:45Z

Honestly, I did not even expect someone to play it and certainly not finish it! I was even rectulant to submit the game. So all your feedback really makes me happy.

@wouter52 sounds like side effect of my wish to change direction right away combined with acceleration mode of aplying force to the ship.

PEPE's wall of pride by Wouter52 2024-10-09T05:22:04Z

Damn, that 400s in and I was not able to get even one in, but I feel like I was getting used to it. If it would be a morning and breakfast would not be ready, I could totally get lost it in. I am fan of games which need some skill to acquire.

I was once doing a similar game so I know that indication of velocity really helps to control the movement.

Anyway, I liked it, I liked the small details on the map, the audio and how fun it was.

Great job.

Small things by SID37 2024-10-09T05:09:19Z

Great idea about the diodes! You managed to use to to create visually interesting game.

Great graphics! I envy you the ability to create something like that. :)

Bnuuy by Tetrergeru 2024-10-09T05:06:23Z

I admire that you went to the realm of 3D games. When I was reading book about game design from Keith Burgun, he wrote that if the 3D does not add anything to the gameplay, dont use it. With that in mind I spent some time trying to get up to the boxes, which was really challenging with the controls. :id:

I liked the graphic, the VFX of shooting (although getting in a way sometimes) and the voice of the rabbit which in some strange way really get me cyborg chills.

Great job. :)

LD57 — Depths

Scavenger Deep by hope42morrow 2025-04-08T12:02:56Z

I have serious Fallout 2 vibes, don't know why! Maybe the color pallet or the music or something?

It was relaxing to go deep and back, although I had to boost a contrast a bit on the monitor.

Is there an end game condition to fulfill? I would love to finish this game.

Focus! by grid96 2025-04-18T12:12:17Z

Great take on the theme! I took me some time to realize what I have to do and that this is a puzzle game but once I realized, oh boy, i was searching and thinking.

Thanks

Depths of brain by Snory 2025-04-18T12:15:09Z

Honestly, I never even thought anyone would play this "unfinished" game, so it really took me by surprise!

@wouter52 I somehow always struggle with the audio - be it for sound effects or music. This time I did even try to come up with some music, but had to give up after half and hour because I was so annoyed with how badly it sound.

Vanity Check by NoNumbersGames 2025-04-08T11:56:04Z

I admire you that you went into the depths of human mind! I wasnt sure what I am doing - if I answered positively, i was being left alone and if negatively, I had a hard time to run away from them.

But I was playing it longer that I expected which means it has some charm to it.

Thanks for the entry.

The chronicles of Mr. Marmo by Wouter52 2025-04-18T12:07:59Z

Just when I thought I had mastered diving, I discovered the leaderboard (a great addition, by the way) and was struck by the harsh reality—I am nowhere close to the points these other players are scoring on the levels.

Determined, I decided to replay the first level as many times as necessary to claim the top spot.

Sometimes I spawned directly on the fish, and other times I got stuck and couldn’t move—like when you're about to collect the last pearl under the drainer. The game prompts you to drain it, but there’s no option to cancel.

Thanks!

Lumen Dephts by MartRoks 2025-04-18T11:47:13Z

Great job. :)
