Over"delivered"?
I like the idea and also the fact that you manage this type of game during the jam with analytics included. I would just add the posibility to rotate around because I was not able to see some of the items clearly.
In the tutorial part one after I packed non priority item I was not able to release it from the hands to the floor, it kept stucked.
Nice entry, thank you. :)
Do you use GODOT 4.0 with C# or their own script?

Hey there! as avid overcooked veterans, of course we had to give it a try!
We really like this idea and enjoyed playing, a nice variety of tasks and items, seagulls are cute and the fun facts are a nice idea and after trying to figure it out for 10 minutes we got the hang of it, however I suggest you do a little bugfixing (within jam rules) because I seriously suspect a lot of players will give up out of frustration otherwise and that would be a shame. also make a quick first postjam version uncluding following changes (this is all just my suggestion)
Bug: when you try to wrap up an already wrapped package, the package disappears and the player can no longer do (pick up etc.) anything and you have to reload the game, if you take a look at the screenshot below, I think the spawned green orbs are also part of the bug? (if you don't fix this then at least tell the players on this game page or something and try to sell it as a feature. just kidding about the feature part :D)
Also, I'd make the 3 boxing materials varying in colours and add a quick world canvas with text indicatuing which is which, also add text above priority and normal shipping :3
The power ups were cute, but it would be nice to know what they do, and if they even have to be activated? and to be able to change them
Also, it was hard to know that I had picked up things because I didn't see it standing behind the shelf, so a visual and/or audio indicator would be awesome!
All in all this is an awesome game with insane amounts of content, and multiplayer, no less! (We have experience with unity multiplayer and it's an absolute pain in the ass, so for you to having done this in a gamejam is a masterpiece on it's own, seriously!)
The colours are a little bleak too, I'd recommend some light baking (can be realtime) and adding post processing effects (also the albedo seems to be the default grey, idk why unity does this, per default all the colours look so washed out)
Good job on finishing your game and let me know when you continue to work on it, I love overcooked games :) overcookedcloneseagulls.jpg

Thanks for your feedback :) We definitively can't deny that overcooked was a big inspiration for the basic concept of our game :D
@snory : Once a seagull picks up a packed order they need to deliver it, either to the train or the truck, they can indeed not drop it onto the floor. That is by design to avoid players forgetting about the last step. We used Godot 3.5.2 and GDScript, as the web export for Godot 4.0 for 3D games is not fully completed yet. Hopefully for LD 54 it will be ready ^^
@angiemon : We've just delivered a fully loaded train of bugfixes (22 up to now to be exact, you can see the listing in our [GitLab repository](https://gitlab.com/greenopal-studio/youre-doing-crate-ld-53-freeze/-/compare/993a9b651db8611ff5a93c65f749ceb2e0d518e4...main?from_project_id=45638190&straight=false)). This also includes a fix for packaging an already packed order - thank you for the note :) The power-ups bind to the seagull until you use them and only afterwards you can pick up a new one :D You need to activate them by pressing [R] / [P] / [Ctrl] / (Y) / (△).
Unfortunately we did not have enough time to setup a custom environment and post processing effects - we played with adding a cellshading / toon shader. Also maybe adding a sort of call-out to make identifying items and handling units / packaging material easier. We'll let you know if we beautify it more in a post jam version ;)

@lucavazz haha no worries, time is tough at a gamejam and you guys seriously packed this project full of cool features and content! Ah good to know, have to try some more afterwards :D
I don't mind about beauty things (in terms of it keeping me from playing fun games) just thought I'd offer some advice I acquired over the last years, lighting in Unity can be a real butt until you sorta figure it out 0:

I love games like overcooked so I do think this concept could be fun with more friends. For now I did not get the packaging part, also some items are difficult to spot with the given camera angle. Overall, cool what you guys developed!
Cool looking game. Love the seagull theme. Very cute!
Playing alone was not so much fun, so it feels a bit unfair to me, rating it on that experience. Because I think it would be lots of fun in a small group. One guy throwing all the stuff over, the next one packaging etc.
I also had the same bug, that angiemon had (with the green arrows everywhere). Maybe I still was playing the version before the bug fixes.
Good job with the game and good luck!
Classic gameplay was pretty happy with the graphics and themes I really like the UI design for the game good job! Had some bugs pop up but nothing crazy
I wish there was some sound to the game. The game itself plays nice and has a rhythmic loop to it but I just found myself listening to the clicking of my keys. The game works and is rewarding.

A bit janky, after the tutorial the back button did not work
After completing the tutorial I started the first game and imediately I could not recognize the item on the order with anything on the shelfs. I picked up somthing that I thought could be it, but it was aparently wrong. After I packaged the wrong item. Nothing worked anymore and every time i pressed q a green marker spawned, after a while the whole screen was full with green markers
PackageGame.png
On my next run I managed to create the package for the first order, but then the package disapeared and I could not deliver it giving me no revenue. The item was cleared from the queue. When doing the second Item the queue, same thing happend again
I liked the Idea of the concept, And this is probably a bunch of fun playing with multiple friends if it works properly, but for me was unfortunately kinda broken :)

I just saw you tried to fix some of those already but it seems like stuff is still broken :(
It is nice to see that there are a couple of multiplayer games here as well. The game was missing a bit of music other than that a nice game.

Very performance friendly and fun! Had a good time playing it with my sister
It's a very cool concept for a game, unfortunately I couldnt really make out all of the items in the scene and the UI, id reccomend increasing the scale of things for a bit of visual clarity. I do love Seaguls, and I do love the concept though, especially with the multiple stages of it!
Dmn thats very cool and also great to see more godot devs. Had fun playing that game with two of myself :D
Liking the theme with the Seagulls but I agree with another comment above about scaling things up a bit as the clarity is lost as you move away from the front of the building. Perhaps doing an isometric layout would work instead? I quite like the graphic style but I think a brighter colour scheme could be used with some background landscape to fill the space around the main area for context. Nice entry!
Played this with my brother and had a ton of fun! Keep it up!
Excellent game! I really liked the idea and how they implemented the mechanics, I was really surprised by all the content they were able to put into the game in such a short time, great job! I really liked the low poly art, I would love to see this game more polished. The only thing I could tell you is that visually the UI is not fully implemented, it is difficult to distinguish the objects on the shelves (some are very small) and the font they used is not very legible, just details! Congratulations! beautiful game!xD

Nice game! Entertaining concept. With a little polish in animations and graphics (maybe make it more colourful) it could definitely find an audience. Great job!
