I enjoyed this game. The graphics and animations are really great. Controls could use a bit more polishing and sometimes I noticed getting stuck to edges and whatnot. Great job :)
I ran into some of the bugs you've mentioned, couldn't shoot at the corner because of collision bug and when all my chicks were gone the game didn't end.
But I like the idea since I have made a similar game :) /machine-gun-chicken

I think the hunger bar is in reverse since a full bar indicates maximum hunger. You should instead fight to keep your hunger down, as low as possible :)

I enjoyed it, fun concept with the fish. Also like the graphics and audio. I just wish the controls were better and the non-game sequences less time consuming.

Great twist on a classic. Was fun to watch the chicken run when the farmer got hit by a car :) I wish there was some how to force stop the chicken, but I guess that just takes a bit getting used to.

Cool game, but seems impossible to keep them all happy when having to go to the bar for a drink at a time.. or am I missing something?

* I prefer controls with arrow keys when mouse is not used * I would have liked some kind of indicator (icon, sound, etc) what sort of incidents were active instead of randomly running around the map.
Overall it was a fun game, good job :)
Hm, I can't use the elevators (doors) it seems. I press all keys, but nothing happens. I tried pressing arrow keys, space, enter, E, mouse buttons, etc.. nothing worked.
Hm, the game doesn't seem very complete. I just run to the toilet paper on top left and it start over again. There doesn't seem to be any borders either, so I can leave the game window. The game crashed twice for me unfortunately. Good luck.
For the first few tries I thought I had to avoid the obstacles :) Could use information/instructions what the objective is and how to play and better feedback to the player. Another example is when killing all objects, wasn't obvious if level was completed or game was resetting.
I like the idea. It was fun and had good controls :) The short music loop was a bit annoying after a little while. Good job :)
Cool to see a multiplayer game on LD. Could use a bit more polishing, but good job.
Took a couple of tries to get going :) It got very hard to see and click a shape just before dying because all shapes kind of were over each other. It was fun, good job.

Looks good. I would have liked a health bar over the enemies so I know how much health they have and how hard I'm hitting them. Also I think you have to hold Space to attack? Just pressing it doesn't play the animation.

I agree, it is a bit hard to aim as it takes some getting used to. I will look into if I can improve on that, and perhaps as you suggest let the player aim with the mouse.
@plopmenz I've added laser aim and you can now rotate the chicken with mouse :)

@attx I think it was a design by accident as i only had keyboard control from start. At the end the keyboard become fast turning and mouse for precision aiming.

Those are bullets :) They increase your damage when you pick them up

I am currently working on another game, but after the LD-voting period is over I'm definitely considering working on this game. I've received some awesome and constructive feedback from everyone and I agree, the game would be much more fun with more weapons for variation, a sense of progress, more polish and perhaps a shop where you can unlock items.

Hi there, here's my feedback..
I would be nice to have something like a score that increases every second that would multiply by my size. So the bigger I manage to stay with more rings, the more score I get. As it is right now, there is no reason for to grow in size as 1 ring or 10 ring doesn't matter except make it harder for the player to sustain.
I would love to see some feedback effect when I get hit, like particle effect or screen shake.
After you die and restart the game, it says level 1 but the difficulty is not reset.

@onesvenus that is what happened, I got hit once and all my circles went away.
It's a good idea with an invincibility period.

@blaster391 Thanks! The sharks health increase based on depth, starting with 2 shots to kill them and slowly increasing. Being a game jam I didn't want to make it too difficult.
@ipodtouch0218 The harpoon range is by design, being in deep water there is a lot of drag so their velocity wears of pretty quickly. I've made the sharks visible from further distance so you can spot them and plan ahead 😊 Thanks for playing.
