A very timely game for these times. I absolutely loved the educational aspect of this game, while being presented as a challenging puzzle to figure out. I did not do so well my first attempt, but I greatly enjoyed the game. I really liked that I got to play as a plaque doctor in a modern setting. It would have been nice to have a score about that told me what I got right and what I got wrong so my skill at the game would increase faster, but perhaps being a rookie plague doctor I just have to learn by shooting in the dark a few times -- but the poor residents of the apartment to have such an inexperienced doctor treating them!
I had fun playing this, and having a notebook to keep notes was innovative though my next playthrough I think I need to make a chart or something to keep track of everything. Overall a nice diversion while living in quarantine. -- Zen
I enjoyed playing it, the concept is very clever i liked a lot the design of the rooms with the plot. Great entry!
It took me a pretty long time to figure out that I had to use the arrow keys to open doors.
Hm, I can't use the elevators (doors) it seems. I press all keys, but nothing happens. I tried pressing arrow keys, space, enter, E, mouse buttons, etc.. nothing worked.
Great topic and I found the way you need to take notes to do the correct cure 💊, very interesting. The epidemic mask outfit looks beautiful and the music fits perfectly with the game mood. Well done!
Just played the game. I really love how this is actualy a tiny detective game actualy. And how complicated stuff might be. You have to take care of everyone and retrace back all the events that went down to every resident of the building and that is really fun.
The game is definitly good, the background music is repetitive but doesn't drive you crazy. Having localization in such an amount of time is insane and such a complicated game for one person, it is really good.
If the concept could be taken further it would make a great game but I have to say I think some decisions in that short time period could have been better to improve your game and more easy to graps
Unfortunitly the game is a bit buged and moving around doesn't bring anything to the game. And those control, sprite, phyic and stuff must have take quite some time to code.
If I were you I wouldn't have done any control at all, I would have the entirity of the building in front of you, maybe some animation for the juiciness and you just click rooms to cure patients. This way you can easily note around everything, ask from door to door and be able to play the game in the most efficient way and with I think a better flow.
Also I think you would have more time to polish the game, if you want to show the character you could have one screen with the apartments where you can talk to people and one screen with your lab where you can make notes and chose potions, something like that !
But I know how hard it is in such a short timespan. It is still a good game i'm just giving feedback for future projects !
Thank you for submiting this game !
Firstly plague doctor was a brilliant choice, Love that aesthetic! Secondly that you managed to build essentially a detective game (notoriously hard to make) in just a few days is super impressive! So well done! With a bit more time and care for ui and making controls clear this could be even better!
Plague doctor will always be a cool figure, especially now. The mood of the game was a bit melancholic, which I liked a bit. I think the objective of the game isn't too clear, there was an introduction but it said more about the story then the mechanics of the game. I appreciate that this game genre isn't really as popular as some others, so props to you for making it though!
Really cool game! The art was fantastic (alas unity pixel perfect), I was a little confused on my first play through of what to do, maybe just because I didn't read the instructions thoroughly enough!
Great Job!
Super jeu !
Hi! Nice work! I want to make a video with the best games of LDJam46. Something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOdTsWE7iIk . Can I find your game also on indiexpo website? The channel is linked with them.
Really cool game! I loved the concept and the execution! Good job!
@torh You can check out our game as well for that ;)
Nice game! Nice concept and i think this was surprisingly the first game that i played that related to the current global situtation haha
Very nice detective puzzle with gorgeous pixel art. Navigating around was a bit of a hassle, might have been more fun if you just used a menu to navigate.
Hey, I like the notebook idea, but I haven't been able to play because I don't understand how to get in the door
Cool game which made my brain cells really get to work. Every person fond of puzzle games feels right at home. Thank you for this really well made game!
Hello, just saw your game, nice graphics. I'm a programmer looking for a graphic designer or a team to join and maybe work on new games, are you interested? email:m.shahiri.m@gmail.com my LudumDare Game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/social-distancing-for-ladybugs
Cool game, I like the concept. W and S keys didn't work on the elevators, only the arrow keys did. It would be cool to open the notebook with a key, "E" for example. The pixel design of the rooms and characters looks amazing. It would be even better with the protagonist having some simple movement animations.
Amazing concept and nice visuals, I liked it.
Very nice concept. I love these kinds of puzzle games. I couldn't solve it, though. No one mentioned diarrhea or headaches. Unless I completely missed something. Loved the notebook, albeit a little cumbersome to write in it. Ended up making notes on a piece of paper. But, well done.
