Love this idea and style, grotesque! Really gnarly!
Those graphics and music, i really love pixel art and you killed it!!
super fun, took me a second to figure out how to grab. nice and simple well executed. 9/10!!
Great job! Liked your art work a lot, the music was well done. Your game was enjoyable. My only request would be that the game have ab it more verticality to it. It felt like I was running from just side to side. It would have been a bit more interesting if I had to jump on top of platforms to get some of the "yummy" food. However, that is really minor. I felt like your game was really good.
Great graphics, style, and sound. Easy to understand and play. Good raising difficulty. Nice work!!
Awesome pixel art, terifying to be honest. Gameplay was really fun and I enjoyed destroying the not yummys with other not yummys.
Really cool art and sounds! Gameplay gets tense fast! At the beginning I was feeding the Karot but then I was just making sure the fishes don't get near the mouth.
~This art! Solid entry nice work man
I like this a lot! The concept is really unique, and although it took a little while to get to grips with the controls, once I was able to understand it, I had a lot of fun grabbing and launching those little critters all around!
I wish there was a little more incentive to explore the whole level, because I liked the traversal controls you gave the player, but I found myself camping the mouth hole the entire time, since it was always swarming with little critter and I never had a moment chance to leave it without paying for it.
Two massive thumbs up for the artwork! I'm a sucker for dat pixel art aesthetic. Overall this is really well polished and was a lot of fun!
Hi there, nice game you've created. I like the concept, art and sound. Controls were also good. Good job och good luck.
A fun little game! While the movement was a bit too floaty to my taste, and the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive, the core loop is short and fun enough to try and master, the art and music are nice as well, and the game's fairly well rounded overall. Congrats!
Very nice, the controls are strange for me, but I suppose it's getting used to.
I'm here from Twitter for the chiptunes and pixel art :) I liked it. The gameplay is definitely repetitive within a minute though. Throwing is a pretty cool mechanic (the learning curve is shallow, but it's still pretty fun). One thing I really appreciated is the spawning of the delicious *yummies* from the manhole thingys. The game description is on point as well.
This is great! Make sure to add a link to your ludum dare page on your itch.io, I found you through there and had to go on a wild goose chase to get to this page here!
the art is solid
I like the story idea quite quirky, and i just love the pixel art. Thought the core mechanics were nice, it would of been nicer if there was more there than "put this in mouth, dont put this other thing in mouth" until you get bored. 7/10
Very aesthetic & thematic. Cool music and sprites well done :-)
It was so hard to keep those bad ones away xD loved the game solid work!
Been running around and, as promised, felt like a derped Kermit. And it was great. Love the art and the music. Very moody! I welcome my new Karot overlord.
Honestly such a good gamejam entry. Im very impressed with every part of it :D Great job guys
Super polished, the background art is incredible and the music is fantastic too. My only complain would be in the gameplay, although fun at first, its gameplay loop is super short, there isn't really anything that incentivize to move around the map, that would have make the game much more dynamic. Apart from that impressive work!
Very impressive entry! I love the art style and general mood of the world (reminds of Cave Story!). Sound design is also top notch and makes the game feel really complete. I think gameplay wise there could've been some sort of additional element to spice it up, but as it is the purpose of the game is very clear and easy to understand :)
The Not Yummy are everwhere D:
Very fun game, easy to understand and wooow this music and those graphics!! I'm always a fan of what Franek does!
Nice game. Nice mood. I thought I'd hacked the game by standing near the drop-off and just tossing yummy's into the mouth, then I realized the yucky's were actually heading toward the mouth and causing a lot of damage. Forced me to move around a lot more, adding to the challenge. Nice art and sound of course.
Love the art, some sweet pixels there. Might be nice to have an alternative button for jumping, I find it difficult to use the use W for up in combo with A and D for sideways movement, but maybe thats just me. Platforming felt good, might be nice to have a few more platforms to jump on. Really good job.
That was really fun! Obviously beautiful art, but the gameplay was good too, and went better once i learned i could make things collide to kill them. my best time was 4:22
Dope art as always, Fran :)
I liked the how back-and-forth between pushing not yummies and pulling yummies made it dynamic. Collisions destroying them was a really good idea. I kinda wish there was more to it, though. Still, well done!
Looks super nice. Art and music/sfx are ON POINT.
I kept pressing space to jump at the start, out of habit, and restarted the game a couple times because of it. Might be nice to add it to the controls! Cool to figure out that throwing not yummy things on other not yummy things would kill em.
PS : I let the game play in the background while writing this, to enjoy the tune, and it managed to get a better score than I did. I am a terrible karrot feeder...
This game beautiful, and I loved the audio!! I had a ton of fun playing this
The art is amazing and along with sound it makes this really atmospheric. Great job!
The art style is phenomenal.
The atmosphere is somehow "Metroidesqué", which is great!
I really like the feel of the controls and shooting the little creatures all over the place.

This is my record so far. I'll probably try to break it later!

Like @fusionnist and @wesxdz have pointed out, that the game-mechanics are fun, but the game-loop gets quite repetitive fast.
I also felt exactly the same way as @coleslaughter when playing. The controls really do feel "traversal", and I loved the fact that you could jump to the upper parts of the stage, but there really wasn't any point in going there.
I think it would be cool that after a while a secondary mouth would appear to the upper part of the stage.
Also, at first I kept shooting the Not-Yummies to the death-pit, before noticing that they also die by bumping into each other.
Perhaps there could be stronger variation of them that can be disposed only by throwing them to the depths?

There's some potential here, for sure. The art-style and controls make it feel like it could be a part of a bigger universe.
It certainly feels like a sub-boss of sorts in a Metroidvania-style game. Or a puzzle segment where you'd have to feed this entity to progress.
I'd certainly want to explore this world further!
Loved the mangled tech environment. Funky soundtrack. The little baddies looked great. Throwing things around was satisfying, although had a few things disappear on occasion. Didn't stop me from enjoying it though. Great jam!
Enjoyed this game! the music is mint!
Had a lot of fun throwing food around like basketball! Cool entry!
Gah! I really wish there was a way to properly dispose of the not yummy... flying... manta... flesh thing? Overall I was really surprised, I didn't know what to expect and the simplicity was a fun surprise. Really wish there was more to it because the game feel is really, really good. Art is phenomenal, music and atmosphere are amazing, I really just wanted more!
