This is a really neat idea, unfortunately the transparency didn't work for me on Linux.

Wow, seriously impressive graphics and sound. The controls where a little clunky at first, but I got use to them. The game play felt well balanced.
Excellent submission!
That was stressful!
It is quite easy to miss the rain drops, especially if you have a big fire, perhaps a sound effect would have helped. Also the restart button doesn't work.
I like the 3d effect, and the ominous music. I would say the enemies are rather easy to dodge.
It ramps up quite fast, I could only make it to 1:30!
I love games with upgrades! Things get pretty funky when you have max everything out :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Screenshot_20200421_144936.png
@machnikl Great suggestion, that was the next thing on my todo list, but I ran out of time
@willypa, @machnikl, @justalocalhero, glad you liked the controls, I spent a while refining them!
@snory I definitely want to learn how to produce some decent music for next time
Its the first 1 bit game I have seen so far, props for that!
Would be nice to have an enemy of some sort, perhaps they could steal apples.
That was really fun, getting the chainsaw is really rewarding!
The movement controls are a bit frustrating.
Super interesting idea! The balance may be a bit off, I managed to win on my first try, just barely though!
I liked the challenge of remembering what light corresponded to what machine, it was very stressful . I liked the jump pad, but perhaps there could be some other movement mechanics so you can get around the map faster.
I like the minimalistic color pallete, gives it a distinct style. The level did feel a little small.
It gets pretty tricky with 7 slimes! I like the visual indicator on how much water a slime has. Some sound effects would have been nice.
Amazing job! Neat mechanics, nice music and even a cut scene!
The atmosphere is great, and the graphical effects are really neat.
I did spend a while wondering what I was doing before I realized you had written some hints
This is a cute little game . The pixel art was really great, but the background did look a bit strange since the pixels where a different size.
Amazing pixel art, looks great! I am not that great at platformers so it took me 386s :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. Some sound effects would have been nice, but overall a great submission!
The dialog was a really nice touch! I like the idea of controlling the thrusters, but it does need refining a bit.
A bit confusing at first, but I think I worked it out!
I think it would be neat if the UI also showed you the actual dice.
I really like the idea of a reverse tower defense!
It would have been nice to have a linux build.
I can't launch this game (atleast on linux), you need to provide the .pck file or embed it like this.
I made the same mistake
I like the little sprites, and thanks for fixing the Linux build so quickly!
I do agree with on @goldenevolution regarding the controls, they are make or break for a platformer.
_PRAISE THE PASTE!_
I liked the music, it really contributed to the unsettling tone.
Neat visuals! I like the element of balancing placing feeders and spawning animals but expanding the area seems to just make the game harder, because all the animals spread out.
I love the characters, they look pretty warm in those coats! Some snow sounds would have really added to the mood.
I liked the intro sequence :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:. The controls did feel a bit floaty.
I like how fast it is to restart, makes you want to keep going. Also great font choice!
Its pretty tricky, I always loose when you have to manage 2 hearts, but I probably just have bad rhythm
This has a great atmosphere, I love the window into space with the low level rumble in the background. Its really well polished to, the dithering looks really good. The first few puzzles are fun, but perhaps there needs to be a few more interactions between plants, in the end I didn't really have to think about the placement rules since the decision making was mostly about space.
Thanks for including controls, many people (including me :P) forget this!
Fun aesthetic! Has a lot of character. I thought the placement of the boat when throwing eggs was really smart, it was always where I expected it to be without any UI needed to direct the player. The controls made me a little dizzy, I think the speed which you turn may be a little to fast.
I almost got last base upgrade, but I ran out of regolith and didn't have enough to build another mine! The narration was fun, and I liked the building descriptions. I think some more information in the UI would be good, like how much workers a building was using etc. Also if the game didn't pause while you where in the building menu I think it would improve the pacing somewhat.
I massively overscoped too, I really want to get the basic game play loop done on the first day next time. Props for submitting though :)
Wow, really fun puzzle game, the puzzles weren't to easy, there was a lot of variety, really impressive. Only thing missing for me was a reset level button.
Simple on the surface, but there is a more depth in the decision making when you start playing, which is always a good sign of good game design.
Cozy music! I think I worked out what the mechanics are, but some labels/descriptions would go a long way. Unfortunate that you ran out of time for more levels, but props for submitting something!
Feels really polished, well done! Love the limited colour palette, but the smaller enemies are a little difficult to make out from the background. Maybe the health boxes are a bit too frequent, I found camping in one spot was pretty easy.
Impressive what you managed to fit into the game. I was kinda caught of guard when a mini game started, a small transition would be nice to give a chance to switch contexts.
