Nice game! I like how it's actually possible to win on the first time. It would be nice if there was a way to restart the game.
Hehe fun little game I managed to complete it, here are few of my notes:
**What I liked** - excellent art style and overall feel of the game, it looks like you exactly know how much work you can put into 48 hour period - sound effects - idea works really well with Ludum Dare theme
**What could be improved** - background music on the loop for better game atmosphere - when you are away from birdies notification always shows middle bird even that others are hungry, change pop-up based on which bird is hungry
Good job!
@tero-pulkkinen @cjm @saviqq I'm very glad to receive your feedback :slight_smile:
Dude the concept thought and specially the push-away from cats when hurt instead dying which would be cliche love the game
Nice game, and intresting gameplay. But it so eesy because time to chick death so long.
a fun little game very calm and relaxing to play. the different scales of pixels in your pixel art liked a little bit verb, but it was nice overall
The pixel art is really nice: simple yet effective. The birds and animations are very cute. The gameplay is simple to understand. Sound effect is a nice addition. You can add more content and turn it into a casual mobile title.
This is a cute little game . The pixel art was really great, but the background did look a bit strange since the pixels where a different size.
This was a short and sweet experience. The graphics look really nice and the sound effects seemed to add to the mood - I really liked the sort of "poof" sound the cats made when you squished them. The controls were really smooth. The difficulty certainly could've been higher, but the increase of difficulty with time was certainly sufficient to keep from getting bored in a game this short.
Best thing about the game is the controls are very responsive and tight, even the amount of bounce after hopping on a cat is just right. The second best thing is the artstyle.
I would say - make the fact that the birds hungry more obvious while mommy bird is nearby (within screen limits) - like rotation and shake. I lost the yellow bird that way, while fending those of those cats
I like the game, hits the concept pretty well, can't well fault it. Maybe a little more varience in the audio, but I'm really picking at straws there. Good job well done.
Sweet game, I really felt the stress of raising children :D Good thing they all made it.
That was cute! :D The graphics were adorable and the gameplay was fun. I think it could use a bit more audio and maybe make it clearer when the cat is attacking, but other than that, I can't really think of much else. Awesome job! :)
I really enjoyed this! The whole style is great and it's a simple idea but a good one and very well executed. Super cute and satisfying game.
Nice game! I was thinking that the goal was unclear, but the way the first bird flew away and the cats started spawning, I got the idea and then it became very fun :)
Nice, I like the idea, and the art is great. Couldn't save the yellow bird, though. :(
A fun very well made little game. Well done.
Really nicely designed little experience, I loved that the game felt finished. I did wish the art was all the same pixel scale though :/
This game is great, the birds movement feels ridiculously satisfying. The gameplay isn't too challenging but it's pretty relaxing and the game doesn't overstay its welcome at all. Thanks for making this!
I liked the artwork! Nice work.
