Took a while to figure out and I only survived about 50 seconds, but its very clever, was a bit unsure about why the roots would or would not grow sometimes, would be nice to feel more control. Some sound effects would have added a lot too.
He lived to be a child aged 104, in life he ate a lot of his own poop, in death, he continued to poop
This is the smart home apocalypse. Anyway, controls were a tad slow, but than again drowns are a pain to control so perhaps its accurate. The room and sound effects were perhaps a bit bland. Overall though its a very well rounded piece of work for such a short time frame.
For a 48 hour game that was super polished. The dialogue was funny, but there was too much of it. I enjoyed the battles though they could have been improved a lot with more variety in enemies. The audio was serviceable. It didn't offer anything new in terms of gameplay or ideas, but it delivers an establish style very successfully.
Was unable to figure out what to do, watchers kept killing me, but the writing I did see was very amusing.
So I got my truck stuck under a pile of burning logs but the good news is I seemed to be fire proof. When that beat hits in the soundtrack its like UNEXPECTED BUT I DIG IT.
Kept mixing up the space and jump keys that's my main criticism.
The game makes no sense at all and I love it
Could be improved with some automated actions, such as auto touch attack in shops, then again that might make it too easy
This is a game after my own heart, its basically super monkey ball with legs and drunk. It seemed to totally break on level 4 (on mac) with the pirate flying off screen every time. Recording atmospheric sounds like wind and water might have created a better mood then google music.
I found the graphics a little painful, but the mood and story were very engaging. Its very true, and clearly comes from a place of experience. That said %spoiler% when the old guy invites you back to his place I got a bit worried..
I really enjoyed playing this. The visuals suited the audio, it was funny, it lasted a while, clever double use of the theme. Might be my highest rated game so far!
96 seconds! As someone who has some starter in the fridge, I can report that this game has won the LD.
Music is Spirited Away cyber beatboxing!
Very cool mood though, perhaps too much text at the start, controls not so pleasant.
A lot more fun when you figure out you don't have to hold the bow. Not sure how PC the story is! Where does he get his money from?
The zen vibes and deep deep anxiety in this game are something to be reckoned with
This was very hard to play on my own.. but I can see it being fun if done properly, maybe an instant restart after loss? The music is nice but some sounds are a bit harsh.
I really enjoyed this, especially the rain, the 2d-3d style and when the guys give out to you for spraying them with water.
I didn't find it very fun to play, felt I had little control, was more go up and down lots and hope for the best. However the production with that simple tutorial on level 1, use of graphics and the audio are really fantastic. I loved the mood created with the audio.
The art styles nice, but the shark instantly flew off the screen never to return.
Not sure what to say about this! I was confused and clicked a lot.
There are some good funny moments like when you start making random faces and the game complains you're wasting time!
A soundtrack and a moody presentation would add a lot to this game (example: https://fauux.neocities.org/)
Thanks for the good feedback so far!
Agreed about the world size, id like to see a larger world too!
About the controls. I don't feel traditional mouse locking FPS controls are appropriate for web games, non fullscreen things should not lock your mouse, so this was intended. Using google maps style controls was a first attempt, but maybe there is a better solution someone will find!
Some of you are not figuring out you can click on things? Maybe that should be explained more.
@nick-barrash Thanks for the reference I love their font, inspired me to make a logo: logo.jpg
Too hard for me! Was unable to figure out how to plan the next move. But the art style and sound work was well done.
A pleasant rift on the arcade style, controls are a bit slow, with more development I could play this for a few weeks!
Not really sure what was going on, the seeds seemed to work but the obstacles didn't and what was the 3rd button? Perhaps a skip option on the tutorial. That said, it had a fresh atari vibe which I liked.
