Ok that was trippy... haha. Idk if my game froze when the ozwomp arrived or that was it (black screen with the O character screaming). It's' a cool experience overall, controls are a really annoying tho, it'd been cooler with was and mouse look controller using E to inspect?. Great job!
1 word: "lol"
_PRAISE THE PASTE!_
I liked the music, it really contributed to the unsettling tone.
Cool experience ! Good job for your own engine, it's not a easy work ! The atmosphere is special and intriguing at the same time. One wonders who this Ozwomp is... So we try to talk with every one, try to interact with some element And in the end we see this little Ozwomp!
Good job ! Hope you had fun to create your project !
Bizarre! The colors, audio and general tone describes "dreamscape" to me. It reminds me of LSD: Dream Emulator. Drag-move with the RMB is also new to me and makes movement that more interesting.
I couldn't get anything to happen, I guess I had to wait further?
I'd really like to see a bigger world like this one put in front of me to explore :)
Despite the weird controls and the lag on my laptop, the graphics are colorful and paint a nice world. I talked to the "others", but did not make Ozwomp appear. I feel like I did not understand what I had to to in this experience, maybe to focused on the "keep it alive" theme, but the 3d engine has some potential for sure.
Ozwomp!!! I think I want to see more of these characters and their world :)
Great job making this in your own engine, and completely agree with the sentiment about Unity. I've done a few previous entries in my own html5 engine before but they were all 2D, this is impressive stuff. At the end of the day I felt I would get what I wanted to do, done, much faster in Unity than any other option this time around but I have high hopes for next time. Thanks for being an example to us all.
Thanks for the good feedback so far!
Agreed about the world size, id like to see a larger world too!
About the controls. I don't feel traditional mouse locking FPS controls are appropriate for web games, non fullscreen things should not lock your mouse, so this was intended. Using google maps style controls was a first attempt, but maybe there is a better solution someone will find!
Some of you are not figuring out you can click on things? Maybe that should be explained more.
That was incredibly unsettling and cute, I have goosebumps just from moving around. Didn't realize I could turn my character around and spent the first good bit trying my best to click on everything while only facing the portal while I moved around. Clicked everything I could find, eventually the characters had more to say, ran out of things to click. Tried going through the portal a few times. I gave up on waiting for Ozwomp, wasn't sure if Ozwomp was real or something I had to trigger or something that just takes a loooong time to happen. Really cool for your own engine though, great work!
Reminds me of the set of the kids show "Zoom"
Daniel style! Zoom in and out on that Big donount and listen to the spatial audio was pretty enjoy. Nice movement control. Artstyle pretty well fit to the music and atmosphere. Adding a full screen button might be better!
@nick-barrash Thanks for the reference I love their font, inspired me to make a logo: logo.jpg
Awww yeee, I love me some colourful primitives! Really impressive jamming with your own engine, and loved the use of web pages. Fun distortion/filters with the gate audio, though I'm guessing I missed similar effects elsewhere? Was fully expecting some Godot shit, but Ozwomp did actually arrive, and it was worth it??? Nice work!
An interesting world and visual style. Too bad nothing really happens; everybody just waits and the clock ticks.
There are so many directions that this project could go in that I needn't speculate.
Good job on the engine and the trippy audio-visuals. Interactivity is next?
*(What about Godot?)*
I would figure out a different control scheme, cause that was very difficult and cumbersome to move around it. It wasn't clear what, if anything, I was supposed to do besides "wait" which isn't really a fun game loop.
Looks nice but it is too abstract for me and I cannot understand what should I do. IMHO it lacks elements that direct the player and reward him for correct actions. Nevertheless I love that cute creatures and overall psychodelic atmosphere!
well that was a trip :D some information about the controls would help a lot as for not being sure what to expect this was something :D
I enjoyed how quirky and abstract this was, and those visuals are so vibrant. :) It reminded me of Waiting for Godot set in an alien world. I liked it. :)
i could use come of what you're smoking seriously though i like the weird, there should be more weird at gamejams
Super weird experience but very aesthetically interesting! I made it to epoch 5, then started to think Ozwomp will never arrive :)
Nice and unique entry, well done!
This was quite an experience! So many good quotes  Very well done! One of the more memorable entries I have tried so far.
