This is a beautiful game, the art is just right. I'd love to be able to make things like this. I really like how its made in 3D with an orthogonal camera, giving it a great 2.5d feel. One thing I'd like is for the sun to have a bit of heft an momentum, perhaps with keys adding on some acceleration, which decelerates on release. This would also give a more dynamic feel to the background colour transition. Overall excellent work.
Hello @owl-skip, thank you so much for your nice review ! Much appreciated !

Very cool idea and implementation! However, for me the game seemed too hard
good job :)

Wow, great theme interpretation and the game overall, fills very polished and nice!
Nicely worked out entry! I like the hand drawn art and the little flourishes in the menu. I was sadly unable to get to the endgame (possibly because I am just too inept to control the shadows :P) to see if the quality persists, but you sure make very good impression. Well done :)
Think this is really neat idea, something quite different. I enjoyed playing through a few of the levels, although I found it got quite hard quite quickly. Because of the speed of the changes, I found myself just dipping the sun under and above the horizon, without any time to think about the different clouds and walls etc. I think if things were slowed down a lot it would actually be more fun and strategic. But still enjoyable to play with nice drawings and music.
Great visuals and music. A very fun and challenging game. I made it to the last level but couldn't quite beat it.
The level with the one cow and moon that rises to block all light made me chuckle.
A great game overall that fits the theme well!
Great aesthetics, great concept, and a lot of content here. Nice work!
I think as it stands levels have too many creatures to keep track of and the game moves a bit too fast. I want there to be strategic movement and waiting and less hectic guess-and-check gameplay. I got to a level with a moving orb and my progress was slowing greatly.

unfortunately i cannot play it but it looks like a really cool game
Great art, sound, and design! I love how creative this game is. I would tweak the difficulty a bit to provide an easier start, but that's a small gripe. Really excellent work overall!

Awesome game, visuals are great and I love the design! I'd prefer if the game was slower and more chill though, but that's just cause the music and art was so perfectly relaxing!

Literally the best game I have played today. Everything is perfect with this. Please consider fully realising it for mobile! :-)

I really like mixture of the 3D objects with the shadow and the 2D art of the characters, the gameplay is also cool and challenging, smooth controls and nice animations.
nice graphics i think
Awesome concept with big potential

A great concept that's really well polished! Very coherent aesthetic and mood.
An interesting implementation of the theme. Hand draw images and simple light/shadow shaders from the sun make beautiful picture. But is gameplay a bit hard?
You had a great idea and well developed in only two days. I give you my feedback in case you'd like to polish this game a make a bigger one with more levels. It's impossible to make a perfectly balance a game in two days. At the end of every level I felt like "oh my God, fortunately I survived" and not "yes! I made it". Everything happens too fast. I'd make the level last longer and make the bars rising and decreasing slower. But, again, good job! I gave you 5 stars in Theme and Innovation

Great game, found it difficult on level 3 and took about 6 attempts but cracked it and carried on.
I agree with @team-prosit : if the bars rose and fell a little slower one could play more with thought than just frantically shifting so that everybody stays alive. Nevertheless, nice graphics and on theme
Very cute idea, but very hard to play in my opinion. Trying to figure out the right ratio between using the shadows and making it night is challenging
Wow, very innovative mechanic. Great game!

If you manage to find a point where all have the same heat, then you're good. But man... finding that point is so fuckn hard :D the idea however is one of the best I've seen in this jam. But yes, it's a bit too hard.
Woah cool idea!
I didn't find it very fun to play, felt I had little control, was more go up and down lots and hope for the best. However the production with that simple tutorial on level 1, use of graphics and the audio are really fantastic. I loved the mood created with the audio.

I don't think I've ever been the sun before in a game, nice idea.
One of the most innovative games I've seen so far. At first the gameplay frustrated me, but when I changed my mindset to think of it as a puzzle, it was a lot more enjoyable. Great entry!
nice!

Awesome awesome concept, and I'm a big fan of the music and art. Like some of the other commenters, I found this game wicked challenging... I think a little bit more lenient tuning of numbers (how fast the bar rises and falls) would be nice, it's a bit hard to sink my teeth into as-is.
However, I'd like to emphasize how GOOD the puzzle design seems, right from level one!! The very first level (3 farmers, one shadow) is EXCELLENT puzzle design, and I got a rush from figuring out how to "cycle" the shadows in a rhythm... it's a bit neat that players can't really "react" to over-heat or over-cold that well, they have to be planning a route, and on-reaction adjustments won't save you if your route is flawed. So, from that perspective, maybe the difficulty level + tuning is pretty much fine?? IDK, haha.
Thanks for making this entry!!
Really cool concept, well executed and polished to some extent. Reminds me of the epic and classic iPhone game, Helsing's Fire, which I love so dearly. I think this is one of my favorite games in the jam so far.
