Well polished
I like moving in 3-space and online combat is always fun. If there is a future version something should be done about the slowness, are you using WebGL already?
Nice progression of enemies, beautiful graphics, smooth framerate and feels very polished and playtested overall.
Cursor position affecting the camera and the player turning to face the cursor were nice touches.
Fantastic artwork and story.
For some reason can't run this, even though other unity games work. Just claims I have no unity plugin.
Funny intro, but I couldn't proceed in the actual game basically at all, kept dying on the third jump so just gave up.
Would be really interested to see how the character was made for this one.
Nicely polished game with a game mechanic which probably exists out there but hasn't been used much, good work.
Great art style. Color choice, fat clean lines and the shiny spots really work well together. The shadows and background gradient also looks look. In the beginning there was speech, I was wondering if that was some speech synth or someone's actual voice that was edited? But the gameplay itself I wasn't too happy about, either it's not quite complete or I just couldn't figure out how to play.
The duck is cute.
Overall this is a fun game (I've tried about 20 games so far and this would be in the top 5) with a nice atmosphere. Would be vastly improved though by optimizing it a bit, I felt there was delay between clicking the mouse and stuff really happening.
A nice version of a classic game with a great minimalistic art style, suitable sounds and the characters have cute animations too. Took a while to realize I had a gun!
Encountered some bugs such as http://imgur.com/jO4b3 and the character entering through wrong door (had two doors side by side, tried to open and enter the left one but instead the right one opened).
Nice art style, loving these big pixels. Does the main character have pants? Well, looking for the creatures doesn't really feel that much fun though, after killing a few I felt I was done with the game as nothing new was really happening.
@mutuware Yeah I've actually never seen one cross the finish line, but sometimes they get really close :) Instead of bumping up their x speed a bit I decided to leave it like that so whoever manages to witness it happening can feel special.
@Fritzendugan They do look like dancing sometimes. Even considered adding "dancing" as one event, but wasn't sure how I would rank them against each other. If I ever make a game that needs a disco in it with a lot of dancing NPCs, I'll know blobs with a lot of springs is the way to go :)
@dvdking The kitten is pretty good at running, too.
@Porpentine That backstory generator was just a random thing I added out of impulse, but found myself going back to the game just to see what kind of stories it would spit out. Sometime I would like to explore if you could actually have a random plot for an entire game that could be played out and not just a bunch of text.
Had more fun playing this than I thought I would from seeing the graphics and the tiny window. The idea to use mouse for controlling both the movement and the firing direction was interesting, as usually in this type of game arrows are used for movement. In a way it's actually 3D game as the projectiles have height!
Kept me glued to it for a while, but finding working combos was hard enough that eventually gave up. Could only find cat + food seems to make a bigger cat or a dog. Tried combos like game developer + pizza that I expected to do something, but no luck. Flying around in the jetpack was fun and blasting away with the jackhammer. Great minimalistic graphics style. Beer totally looks like a birthday cake though! :)
Getting about 2fps on 2.4GHz 4GB macbook pro, so couldn't play.
Wow, it comes with minigames!
Liked the idea that you can spend your size to move faster.
Little computer people is back in the form of a dog.
Rather than a game, this might be useful if you had some way to export the music you created and include it in your own games similar to http://www.bfxr.net
After spending all my money hiring miners, there didn't seem to be much to do and the next upgrades cost so much.
Trying to do headshots is always fun. Was surprised that you can even shoot yourself. Doing a kind of old cityscape by just having different muddy colored rectangles works surprisingly well.
Not my favorite type of puzzle, but great art and a lot of content especially considering the time limit.
Amazing you could do this in the limited time available. Good balance between art quality and quantity. Lots of things to see and explore.
It was fun to blast, although now my wrist feels like it's about to cramp from all that clicking.
Web entry is 404.
Couldn't figure out how to do anything in the game except pop up a buy menu by pressing space?
The way of introducing new levels was clever. Gave up at the level where you had to bounce up higher and higher. Very good platformer jump controls and great framerate.
I suspect this game was directed by M. Night Shyamalan
Getting an error on the dropbox OSX download link.
Moving around in 3D looks good, especially how when you touch the ground your "legs" bend with the collision. Couldn't figure out the controls though. Also had the same problem I have with many Unity games, which is that the whole game wil just stop for ~0.5 seconds every now and then, making playing impossible.
Really well made, great explosion effects too. And I must hug every cat so this game rules for that reason alone.
Great art and music.
I like the fast pace of movement. Controlling the tongue angle with arrow keys felt new to me, so innovation points from that. Suitable graphics (bonus points for parallax stuff in background). Minimalistic audio, but pleasing. I love how the character looks happy after getting some ham.
Don't recall that "jump on top of AI before they jump on top of you" thing being used since Joust. Part where all were competing for the apple was unique.
Great peaceful mood in the game, there is something relaxing about the sequence and notes that are played when you complete a polygon. However in gameplay it doesn't really feel like you are improving when you get more vertices to use, as that just makes capturing enemies slower. Still, kept playing this a bit because it was soothing.
Best LD game so far. At first the controls were confusing. Awesome that you managed to get a "tech tree" included, I kept playing longer than I intended just to see the effects of the different upgrades.
Was too difficult to figure out what exactly I was expected to do (or could do), so didn't continue playing after the first minute. Didn't rate though.
Good playability with snappy controls and movement. Played a few rounds, but felt that there was some sense of progress lacking to keep me playing.
Couldn't quite figure out how to play this. I kept collecting bags and placing their contents in front of the zombies, but nothing seemed to happen. Still this seemed like a promising game.
Really enjoyed playing. It took a while to realize that you can scroll. Also when it said "sorry you lost", I could never figure out WHY I lost. I did notice there were both cyan and green things you could place, perhaps we are supposed to protect the green ones?
Pretty character graphics, but didn't feel hooked to the game. Might just copy that art style though!
It was a great idea to have the bullets bounce from destroyed enemies instead of just vanishing.
Could get more plays if there was a binary. Tried to "make" but apparently missing SDL, so decided to move to next game.
Feels polished. Nice example of a game that uses the allowed dev time well.
Best take on the theme so far and an interesting twirl on the old box-filling game.
Somehow psychedelic and a game experience I definitely never expected to have.
Strange experience at first walking around, having no idea what to do. Only later realized the goal was to push them out from above.
Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to jfvvign.dyndns.org:81
Took a moment to realize you can both move around AND shoot, but the idea of being the enemy in this type of game was interesting.
Best game so far. What a great idea for sprites to just bob them around instead of drawing frames :) Was fun to play too!
Extremely funny soundtrack, good challenging gameplay and an interesting plot.
It was interesting to try and get all the combinations. I almost gave up at first as I couldn't figure out that I was supposed to drag things on top of each other on a certain type of terrain to get something to happen. The pleasing visuals are what kept me trying until I finally accidentally got something to happen. I continued until I had some orange barrels and then spent some time trying to combine them into each other over all terrain, but I suppose this is where you ran out of time.
Very impressive work for 48 hours. It's amazing that you managed to model all this given the limited time and include sound and music as well. The enemies even seem to only react when they can see the player. I guess this is what it looks like when you get really familiar with Unity. Attempting this with something like Flash, I would probably be stuck just trying to get my rotation matrix to work for the first few hours :)
To me the game was pretty difficult though. I could get from the computer to the tablet computer on the desk, but from there couldn't proceed anymore as the red spheres would always get me.
Great entry. I can see some connection with "our god lives underground" with the purposefully grainy art style and mood. Nice polish with the hair, blood, gunshots with trails and recoil.
Not as awesome as Hot Diggity, but the best game I've rated so far out of this LD. I like the randomly combined (?) item descriptions. Audio is top notch. Nice particle effects, too. Feels more polished than a typical LD entry. Something about this makes me feel like I'm playing an old Amiga game (that's a good thing).
Didn't have someone to try this with, so I could only imagine what a two player game might be like. It seems like hacking turrets wouldn't be very useful, as it tends to deal more damage to the person hacking it than it likely ever would to the enemy.
Hopping between worlds made this on-theme and is also an interesting gameplay element, although it seems like it would make it even less likely for the players to interact. I'm concerned this might turn the gameplay into mostly wandering alone and capturing flags (I mean hacking portals).
Someone try this with a group of people and report how it was in reality!
The chain was a fun idea. It would have been even more fun for the chain to have more meaning in the game. For example preventing you from getting some item in the distance, enemies pulling on the chain or getting enemies tangled in the chain.
Fits the theme perfectly.
Overall a solid fun game that was cool to try with a friend.
Keyboard layout not that great on a macbook. Also, I didn't understand why the hide key and gun key were different keys. Also the shooting key was a bit strange position. One hand should be for dealing with the gun and another for movement.
Good game.
Nice balancing between not getting hit and going out to gather to repair the ceiling. Fun overall.
Not really a game, but as a cutscene it is well made.
Had some trouble with the controls, sometimes felt as if it did not register my keypresses.
Really hard, but fun.
Excellent game. If this had been released for an older gaming system, I can imagine it would have been a very successful game in its time. Even now with enough polish this could be fairly good. Even in its current form it is fun and addictive to play, with a lot of tension when balancing between gathering gold and plotting your escape. Good AI.
Thank you Ouro17. There was still time left, so I optimized it to run better.
Really fun game that I could imagine coming back to try with a friend later on.
The little sounds in this game are really good. Tiny high pitched quips the animals make are funny and remind me of Worms. The sound of hitting a balloon and launching are pretty much perfect. Only thing keeping this from being five stars for audio is the lack of any music.
The opening menu is really nicely done. The artwork is top notch, the hedgehog sprites are cute and balloons (especially the target practice one) are nicely drawn. Physics works really well, that must have required a lot of tweaking to get right.
I feel pretty certain this was made under the influence of something, but besides that (because of it?) it was a really bizarre little experience that made me laugh out loud. Five stars for great sounds and humor!
Beautiful game with great music sync. I could see this being the start of a commercial product to appear on Steam Greenlight later. The environment getting gradually more threatening along with the music turns out to work great and really makes you anticipate how the melody progresses.
Really hard, I didn' manage to land any :(
I can't help but give this five stars for "theme". Throwing screaming ladies.. I can't think of anything much more bizarre.
Another gorgeous entry. In 48 hours this is looking like it could be the beginning of a commercial adventure game. Beautiful particle effects and the fading out scorching corpse after shooting an enemy is really cool. I like how to the camera follows the player with a delay.
Compared to previous games the game is pretty short, but that is understandable given how time consuming adventure game creation must be. Actually surprised you took this route again, I recall with Memento XII you noted the adventure part was more time consuming than you expected.
Fun references, nods to Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island at least?
Enjoyed playing this, impressive that you managed to get these different mechs in. Trying to shoot the baddies while avoiding civilians made it more intense. Nice blending between different sound channels depending on the action.
Short and not much gameplay, but I like the "story" of it. It's a clever take on the theme, nice entry!
This was very difficult to play on a mac because ctrl + arrows are already used for switching between screens, so I ended up dying as I inadvertently switched from screen to screen. Arrows for aiming was a bit difficult as well.
Very nice, this might end up being one of the top jam entries, really fun to play.
Very innovative control mechanism, five stars for innovation here. I had never considered you can use the location of keys on a keyboard to point out locations in a game world, this is a mechanic I could see others adopt as well. If you came up with this all by yourself, consider yourself an innovator!
I ended up playing longer than expected, just wandering the streets, wondering what would come up next. But in the end I was defeated, just too much feline resistance!
Super hard, but maybe that's the point. I'd like to see pewdiepie rage over this game. After ~10 tries I got past the second guard once. Five stars mood, really nice art (I like the parallax background and the old film reel feel) and audio.
Nice artwork, especially the opening screen. I like how you've animated the characters a bit by distorting the bitmaps when the characters move. Maybe that's something that comes with Unity (bones system?), but cool nevertheless. The gameplay left me wanting the hits to be registered more clearly. I felt I was flailing in air as there was no reaction, no sound and no effects of any kind when a hit happened and I wasn't sure where the hitbox was. Adding something there would have made this a ton more enjoyable. Thanks for the game!
The characters are quite cute and for some reason I want to keep clicking!
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this. Trying to come up with random words was harder than I expected, until I hit upon the idea of just typing in random thoughts as if it was a chat box or going through days of the week, names of months, colors etc. sets with many items in them.
I haven't had this feeling of "oh no, think fast!" very often when playing LD games, a very cool entry.
Very innovative combination of Mario Bros (the non-super variety) with a music game. Your tunes are just hauntingly beautiful at times. Here especially when you pick up the gun that shoots bouncy balls. I hope next time you do a time lapse, as I would be really curious to see how you go about composing these tracks.
After he says "press left or right to enter a house", when I press left or right it still just gives him toys or food.
This is always the entry I am looking forward to the most.
Idea of having the two robots that you can switch between was cool, and the robot walking animation was fantastic. The art is great and this would definitely have sold a lot had it come out on the Amiga 500 for example.
I've been playing Ludum Dare games and participating in the events for a long time, and this is possibly the most beautiful game I have seen to date.
Extremely calming too, even though I seemed to be making no progress, I found myself just hypnotized and kept growing more and more trees to feed the guy.
It's amazing how minimalist the art is, with just the right choice of some filled circles, nice colors and animations like the walking tilt and scarf in the wind making a huge different.
Stellar work.
I had no idea an LD entry would come out that would actually blow my mind. But it did. GRAAAAAAHHH.
I hope multiplayer games become a trend! Ludum Dare seems well-suited for them, because there is the initial critical mass present to play these games.
Thanks for the feedback. I noticed that my local web server was case-insensitive and production server was case-sensitive. This caused some sounds not to play. Should be fixed now.
Fantastic work, adorable artwork and great use of color upping the overall mood.
Amazing, the most addicting LD entry so far. Just kept playing and playing to try to beat the high scores. Reminder to self: high score tables are important!
Why is there balls of pulsating beef growing on our bonsai? :D
It's peaceful, but we couldn't quite figure out how to use it. When I click on a beef it starts bouncing around. I can rotate, but clicking on the camera and bonsai buttons didn't seem to do anything.
Graphically very pretty and seems innovative.
That goat sound will haunt me in my dreams. This would be a lot more addicting with global high scores.
My time was 2:21
Had a lot of time playing this. I wonder if you generated the city procedurally? Physics is fun! Nice sense of urgency, too. All those trees and other pushable objects made it feel like a big rich world, you even got some car AI in there.
Great music too, impressive that you had the time to both compose that and make the game. Did you make the baby crying sample, was that you or an actual baby? :)
Nicely different because of the joint controls and quite fun to play. According to our 4 year old, this was also a very funny game.
Could not get gamepad to work though.
I'm really impressed you pulled off making anything playable on this platform in the allotted time.
Points for sound just because there are some! I liked the little gun bounce as you walk around.
As for the game, I wasn't exactly sure what to do. I guess collect blood, then grow that center thing and get crops. I got up to 6 crop before figuring out that probably nothing else would happen.
One of the most fun entries, despite the sometimes illogical-seeming physics. Somehow I would expect this to be frustrating, but there was something satisfying about trying to get the ball to go where you want while having only very imperfect control of it.
Possibly the best game of LD so far when it comes to actually wanting to go back and have just... one... more... game...
Thanks for the feedback. I did in fact forget to include the data folder in the zip file. Fixed.
Directed by M. Night Shyamalan
I went to the computer terminal all the way to the right of the ship, pressed X next to it and then got http://imgur.com/IFi9IB5
Never mind, now I got the error while just walking around.
As always, a fantastic game. Gameplay is more fun than last year. The water transition is just beautiful, as is the palette with Amigaish gradients. Very juicy! 5/5
Nice rotoscoping. Frustrating controls.
It feels like you snatched failure from the jaws of victory. Great music, art and everything works smoothly, but there is no game :/
I enjoyed this, because it made me have that wonderful "wtf is going on" -feeling.
Really pretty shader and nice atmosphere.
Couldn't open. I double-clicked on the .jar in mac os X, Java pops up for a few second then closes.
Great lighting effects, I like the detail that facing backwards when walking makes the character move slower.
Amazing work, the gameplay is fun despite the simple idea and the gfx and audio are just off the charts great. Blender can be pretty confusing when it comes to skeletal animation, so it's impressive you managed to get a character with a walk cycle working. The soundtrack is catchy. You didn't need to go as far as to make your own font :D
I had the most fun playing this game out of the entries so far. Simple, yet stylish in its simplicity. I can see this having a lot of replay value too, and wouldn't be surprised if there is already a Reddit thread where people are competing for the best time!
The setting of being locked in a room is a completely genius interpretation of the theme.
Great entry, it really felt like working at a space station. Kind of reminded me of "papers please" in space.
Amazing art and mood.
I found it way too difficult, but otherwise an amazing job in the limited time allowed. This would have been an AAA game just some years ago :-)
Had a lot of fun with this entry, deserves its great ranking.
I have no idea why I killed everyone, but I had fun doing it.
I liked creating the dance and seeing all those little creatures play it out in unison.
I absolutely loved this game, my favorite in the compo so far.
The sounds and music were especially good, and the main game mechanic was surprisingly fun.
Beautiful game with a great atmosphere, now I feel like a graceful gazelle.
It's already great as it is, but it might be possible to expand this to be a full game.
Fun game reminding me of "The Ship" which I used to really enjoy.
First impression wasn't that good, but when I tried it, I ended up playing multiple times (high fun factor). The way the asteroids push around the planetary remains is very satisfying, and I thought it was an innovative change that I can only push them around, not destroy them.
Also enjoyed watching your timelapse
[day timelapse](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pc0YHI3KqMc).
Was surprised how well the pixel grid effect suited this. Had a lot of fun playing with the ragdolls and scoring a few goals. Some added overall challenge and even a simple soundtrack would have made this that much better.
As others noted, great atmosphere from the pod render, clickety keyboard sounds, old terminal feeling and ambient sounds. The biggest thing I was missing was a sense of purpose. I felt like I was just stepping through a laundry list of items, instead of being challenged. I did enjoy the feeling of being like a NASA mission controller, getting tiny pictures only downloaded slowly from a distant rover.
I went into dept :( Really funny and unique idea, great 3D models and funny sounds. Although I felt if my foot is down and enemy just runs into it they shouldn't die.
Couldn't figure out what the long thing was that I needed, but I really up to that point I really enjoyed the charming artwork and voiceovers.
Superb artwork.
Craziest came in this jam. I suspect a lot of substances were consumed during the making of this game.
Played longer than I intended, this can get pretty addictive. Gotta get the next item!
First LD entry that has given me shivers.
Great graphics, and pretty amazing you managed to accomplish this in 72 hours.
If this is a Unity game, you could make Mac and Linux versions easily using the built-in cloud build.
Interesting to see a game made in Processing. I felt a bit frustrated only being able to shoot so seldomly.
I like the character model and the music. Everything worked smoothly, including the camera. I like the atmosphere.
When first jumping, I fell because I was surprised that he has no momentum at all. It also took me many deaths before I realized I can double-jump. I felt it was hard to hit the black things, especially as there was no sound effect to indicate whether I had hit it.
Funniest LD entry in memory.
This honestly doesn't even feel like a Ludum Dare game, more like something I would have expected buying from Steam!
-
I kept playing way longer than I intended, the last level kept me occupied with me crashing into things at least ten times and losing all my momentum. I kept thinking how I'd love the "naa na na na na na naa katamari damacyyy" -soundtrack in the background, so the ending sample made me chuckle.
The sprite work is really good. Hitboxes felt too unforgiving.
It's very hard to climb my tower from the first person after I've built it. I resorted to walking against my tower and smashing space randomly, which sometimes worked. I had fun though, and imagine someone more puzzle-oriented with more patience than me would have tons of fun with this. It's like a puzzle version of Katamari Damacy.
Laa la la la la laa laa laa la laa laa stackity stackiityy
Liked the world and your models, and the overall idea was innovative. I can see how this would be something YouTubers would let's play.
Are you sure this isn't actually a flying hamburger? I'm ok with it if that's the case.
I love how harsh this game is, reminds me of trying to dock in the original Elite on my Amiga 500. Had this game been available then, we'd played it to bits. Pretty amazing that now it's just someone's 48 hour project!
-
I don't have friends, so I played this alone pretending to play against someone while sobbing quietly. We had fun.
This felt like a part of a complete, proper game. Polish it a bit more, do another jam to create more levels a few times and you have a Steam game :) I enjoyed the puzzle, which felt smooth to complete.
Really liked it. The random events are rather numerous, but that's just fun for an LD entry, cool to get to see a lot of things in short time. The "help" message on an island was funny, and putting the name of the ship on the side of it was a fun touch.
Screen Shot 2017-08-10 at 23.42.17.png
Got 11 points after 4 tries. Pretty challenging. Took me a bit to figure out that shooting uses energy if I am in the shadow.
Cleverest take on the theme I've seen.
Fantastic, I think this will be one of the top 10 games this LD. Besides the trusty walk & shoot game mechanic, this was very polished both for music and effects. I liked the little details such as the pulsating half-shaded lights, animated background, added noise, interlace effect, the wavy screen shake effect, the little vibration the enemies make when they die. For music I could hear some playing around with audio effect knobs :)
Having the RVs be controlled by themselves was a great idea. Constantly moving forward gives a great sense of action in this game, and the music fits perfectly. Nice to hear a bit different style of music as well.
Traveling salesman problem - the game. I wonder if there is some potential here?
The colorful art style and relaxing background tune make for a great mood in this game.
This uses the theme very well. I appreciated the extensive explanations you wrote on the itch.io page.
Quite addictive, wanted to keep trying to get the full three bars!
Congrats on finishing a game in such a short time! Would be more fun if it turned faster, if bullets came from the gun (instead of the center of the screen) and if it was a bit more obvious when you hit something.
I like the art style and this fits the theme perfectly.
The best game out of the ~10 I've rated so far. Driving is always fun, and major innovation points for being able to rearrange the insides of the car. That's actually a big part of deliveries and I doubt any game has taken it into account yet.
Loved the melodic chiptune and the art style.
Really enjoyed this entry, intended to just quickly check it out but ended up playing multiple rounds until finally nailing a landing. Feels real and makes me feel more impressed of Apollo astronauts who managed to do this for real. It's easy to end up in an extreme orbit and suddenly find yourself hitting the planet at high speed.
I learned many useful Gandhi quotes from this game, thanks!
This was a lot of fun to play, and a plant simulator is a game I've actually thought about wanting to play in the past – thanks for making it into a reality.
What's your high score? I got 16 points.
Original idea, and it seems to work well in practice too.
I enjoyed this, it's always addicting to improve things and get more and more resources more quickly. But I wasn't sure if it's really possible to escape? Seemed like the black hole reaches even the highest galaxy. Maybe the point was there is no escape?
@tomeks I didn't use any libraries, it's just plain JavaScript. By the way did you rate it? Because I notice you praised the audio, but I've only received one rating and that one gave 1 for audio
@tomeks Oh thanks for telling me that, here I was thinking someone just really really hated it :v:
@stevis93 Wow, thanks for mentioning that. Turns out I forgot to take into account the time elapsed between frames when adding gravity. So on faster computers you couldn't jump as high. I think we're allowed bugfixes, so fixing that now.
I liked the idea of being a tattoo artist in a game. Wasn't so sure though if I was supposed to fill in the shapes or just draw outlines, and the scoring seemed a little bit random, and was hoping to have some overall goal to progress towards.
I love the sounds and music (no wonder since it's by DDRKirby!). Something about the combination of the relaxing atmosphere and "sneaky sneaky" sound effects makes this funny too. It's also great how cute and approachable this is as well, I think I'm going to let my 4yo give a try too to see if he likes it :)
I gave this the highest points out of all games I've rated so far.
Amazing work, really liked everything about this. You had me laughing out loud already at the description at the thought of someone having to maintain the olympic fire for an entire year. That good first impression carried over to the game, where the graphics are good enough to be from an actual published NES game and the music is pleasant as well.
Made $2852 and had fun while doing it. Felt like I can't blink otherwise I might kill a pet :)
This was a nice take on the theme, fits it very well.
The mechanic of staying still affecting enemies was innovative. I gave up after dying about 20 times in the room that has three suns on the right side of the screen, but had fun!
The art sets a nice mood, the color palette is pleasant. I could imagine playing an even longer game with this art style with no complaints.
I took a look at the source code, since I hadn't seen how PICO-8 games are made before. I noticed there was a quadtree in there !? Did you really need one, or did it just happen to be included with a personal library you use?
I liked the idea of controlling the ship by affecting the nearby gravity. Found it hard to play thought as it was so zoomed in that I couldn't anticipate the planets.
I liked the glow effects. It was very hard at first, until finding that circle strafing around an enemy works pretty well, until another enemy comes along to mess up your circle :)
Wasn't so into having to click all the time to fire.
I don't think I've ever been the sun before in a game, nice idea.
It was a cool idea to make this look like a Game & Watch game, hadn't seen that before!
I liked the idea of shapeshifting to match objects. For me the endless mode seemed to end after only three or so objects, after which no more came.
I liked this, especially the art. Didn't mind the dark theme at all.
Btw. thanks for helping me find a bug in my game, greatly appreciated! Amusing that you also had the exact same kind of bug.
@fussenkuh Yeah it somehow doesn't work when you are standing in a certain place. If you move around a bit and try to click again it will work (although I know you won't bother to go back to try lol)
I think games could use voices more, because talking to a mic vs. typing dialog isn't that different in effort, but makes a game instantly more interesting (and also playable for kids who aren't that comfy with reading quickly yet)
Been going through entries from past winners and so far this one was the most fun.
Fun game that seems to have a lot of content. Could see myself spending a long time playing this if I didn't need to proceed to rate more entries. I like the expressions of the character, also nice walk cycle. Jeps.
More fun than most LD entries I tried. Sometimes encountered a bug where I was no longer able to smash anything.
Last time you got third place for humor. I guess you were aiming for something totally different here!
It's fun to balance between preserving ammo and lives vs. taking the risk of going too fast. Played a few times to try to beat my score, although often accidentally pressed a button again after dying and then missing what my score was.
Enjoyed this more than I expected. It's simple, but getting stronger and gradually making more progress is satisfying.
I liked it because it was really hard and felt like the hopelessness of actually being stranded in space. Played a dozen times until I could finally gather two fuel capsules. Had fun!
