Wow I never thought I would have the pleasure about rating ANOTHER game on sperm lol. I like the simple flash mechanics and most of all the glorious sound effects.
I'm gonna have nightmares about the sounds those sperms made.
But no really, the game is solid and pretty humorous to play.

Pretty nice game, but unfortunately I was not able to finish because right before the end the following error appeared:
harker, Line 80: Cannot read property 'position' of null
Apart from that I enjoyed it, the sounds are especially cute. I'm not sure what all the pickups mean, I believe this would've been clarified in the end. It would also be nice to shoot repeatedly just by holding down the mouse button, clicking again and again (with the high delay before actually shooting) felt a little weird. Good job overall! Let me know if you fix the error, I'm really curious to see the end :)

The sounds and cute sperm faces are really funny, they sort of remind me of Worms a little bit
As for the game itself, I had a bit of trouble realising why I'd died sometimes. Shooting didn't feel particularly responsive either, and like Erkbert, I'm not sure about the red and blue pickups (genetic information, perhaps?).
On the plus side, I keep replaying it every now and then to see if I can reach the end.
Nice job!
@joyfired, @erkberg, @ithildin, thanks for your replies. I like to hear that my game you like. Blue pick is intelligent defence and red pick is strenght defence. I fixed "harker, Line 80: Cannot read property ‘position’ of null" issue. Enjoy!

Interesting to see a game made in Processing. I felt a bit frustrated only being able to shoot so seldomly.

Interesting concept and fun, but gets little bit repetitive after longer play. Gotta say, sounds were rather creepy :D

It's funny to see that we had a very similar take on the theme. I would add some music, but I liked it! Come see mine and you'll also laugh when you see it'a the same theme. Congrats!
Omg are they spitting to each other?! :D Being a fellow sperm-based game developer I can tell you: I liked the water sound that suggests a swimming game and the sounds in general, but the fact that the background wasn't really moving made it feel a little static. I reached the rightmost side of the screen and thought: wait, what now? Am I supposed to go back? I appreciated that you added a lot of info on screen (we didn't!) the cute life counter, the controls, I supposed that the central bar was given me the percentage of the journey, which is nice but not being able to feel the movement, is a bit confusing. I would add more info on the objects we see, You did a great job in adding so many variations, but their meaning wasn't always clear. The restart, exit and highscore made the game really complete and this, with the cuteness of your character is a big plus!
This is the strangest thing I've ever played/experienced. I'm pretty embarrassed at the fact that I thought they were little ghosts until I realised like a minute in what they actually were. Very strange.

I've leaned a lot! Interesting idea and the sfx are pretty funny
wait, WAT?! Spitting spermatozoon? for sure? :D Never seen this before! Good idea)
Very fun :) I love the fx when the ghosts die!
The sounds and facial expressions are very funny :joy:
Well well well - what can I say about game in which I control a spermatozoïd? The main gameplay is enjoyable. The big problem is due to the sounds which are really too repetitive. Further I cannot figure out why/how spermatozoïds swim this way (I cannot admit that I write this sentence). Controls are smooth. Weird, but good enough. Well done ++
I don't think Sperm spit... I never thought I would type that out but hey good job You game worked well and even got more difficult as it went. Plus Sperm do live in at tiny world so full marks for theme. Good Job!
I can honestly say its never crossed my mind to make a game in a sperm setting, so points for unusual take on the theme. Fun enough for a little while, but just needs some variation to keep things interesting. Also as someone else as said already scrolling background, would help with the feeling of movement.

Haha, totally understood how you came up with this idea for the theme! Our team had a similar idea floating around as well when we were discussing what to implement!
I'm 12 what is this? In all seriousness pretty amusing game, quite an original idea. Sound was also quite amusing, and graphics seemed to fit. I think it could have been a bit more challenging, as it felt really repetitive after a while.
Interesting take on the theme 'A small world'.
For a v1.1 the background should probably move more to convey a sense of speed. And possibly change when moving from one place to another, like when leaving the :point_right: and entering the :ok_hand:.

Cool and creepy vibe! The sound effects were kind of unsettling, but I enjoyed them too..? Unfortunately, I had to play it on a touchpad which made it hard to aim. Definitely has pizzazz.
Thanks for your replies! @automatonvx, @jordgubben, it's real pity for me that i don't used parallax. Each third level end has a boss, is it not increase fun and not resolve problem with repetitive?

Wow, quite surprised to find this interpretation of the theme, that was kinda funny! The eyebrow animation on some of them was spot on ahah
One little trouble I has playing the game, was that I have an azerty keyboard, thus I had quite a hard time to move around.
As some others said it, it felt repetive quite fast. Maybe you could made the levels shorter, so the players could have the feeling to progress a bit more than it is now.

The interpretation of the theme was very interesting and the idea of the actual gameplay was cool, too. The problems were that it hasn't felt like a big challenge (I could stand still for most of the time and just had to wait for the enemies to spawn :/ ) and like some others said: The length of one level defenitely was too long so it became quiet boring after some time. The sounds were pretty bizarre and the graphics had some cool little details like the moving eyebrows or even the different facial expressions. Good work, especially for someone who has to do completely *everything* for the game instead of others like me which are working in a team! Because I'm not the main author for our published game and the hope that you would give our game some feedback, here's the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/plutiny
Nice game man. You seem to understand games.

LOL love the humor. The audio and art also made me giggle. Decent fun little game. Had fun playing it! - The art gets the point across visually - Controls are simple and easy to pick up quick but took a second to figure out that where you click is the direction the projectile will travel. A crosshair could solve that even but not necessary - Something to indicate spacial movement better would be nice though to give the illusion of progression - like some gunk floating by or horizontally moving walls in the background that loop around the scene. - Biggest issue I ran into was the speed boost appears to do nothing even on the progress bar. Felt you should be able to use that boost to speed past the other enemies as well. In this case to create the illusion of forward movement speed boost you could slow the enemies down when it's used.
Enjoyed playing this for a good laugh and hope to see you in future jams!

hah! :D Nice game! had a good laugh
Thanks all for your replies! I fixed creepy sound when objects bounced, decreased level length and time before create new enemy.
I missed an original version without post-jam fixes, so I was not sure about rating this entry. I did it anyway. It's a solid entry, but I'd like to have a lot more info on how to play the game upfront.
I was waiting for someone to make a game on this topic) thank you!
There doesn't seem to be a jam version, so I rated this one as how I think it would be without post-jam additions, but please do add a jam version for fairness. Fun idea for a game! The gameplay is a bit simple but still quite fun. The graphics fit the game well and the sound effects are really weird, but also quite funny, so you get some humor points for that (one of the only games I found that actually has this :)).
It would be great if you could rate [my game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/the-final-world) as well.

Very good gamewith some interesting ideas for the mechanic, just think the game is still kinda repetitive there, but i think some new power ups and diferent enemies reaction could fix this better. But it still a very good entry here, good job!
Nice game. Great job! I not have another words! ;-)))
Those sound effects made me happy! And, of coursem nice approach to the theme. Well done!

I think some small tweaks could have added a lot to the gameplay, make the viewport bigger, tweak the projectile speeds a little. Add a few more powerups / weapons. I think you're a tiny bit short on being something awesome. That being said it was still fun. SFX are great :P really added a lot to the mood!
This game made me smile :) I loved the sound effects and the best part was the sperm giving the thumbs up at the end with its tail. Nice!
*Spermthumbsup* Not sure why there's a delay to shooting. It does add a bit of challenge to aim where the shot will be when it fires.
This game was pretty fun. The graphics style is nice, the audio fits well, and this is overall very funny. I love how this fits the theme, nice job!

Nice and simple. I had fun. My main suggestion would be to make the delayed shooting feel a little better. I don't mind the delay, but some feedback making it easier to know when the shot will come would be nice, like some sort of ramping noise or visual. Also the ability to hold down the button and fire when you let go would have been cool. Both nitpicks! Overall, I liked it!

it is fun to play)) Never imagined I would playing the game with such charscters))
Funny game. Good idea with a sperm race, and trying to keep competitors away. I was not a fan of the delay in the shooting. But I really liked the audio. Great little game!
