LD20 — It's Dangerous to Go Alone! Take This!

Many Small Hands by amassingham 2011-05-03T04:50:00

Cheers Dan,
Yes, In hindsight, I should have given slightly better instructions, as well as giving an 'Enough money acquired, exit the district when ready' option.

Sucks about the Orphan running up to the cop. Hopefully he got arrested for being the little snitch that he was.

Many Small Hands by amassingham 2011-05-05T01:11:00

Sorry for the control confusion! I've updated the entry above, as well as the html page where the swf is located with slightly better instructions!

That's something I have to work on for next time methinks!

Priority Cats by Tom 7 2011-05-09T02:25:00

I really enjoyed this! I didn't think the controls were frustrating at all! I think once you realise that the cats can't actually steal the cursor from you, then it's pretty self explanatory.

Loved the music, and the cat animations. As others have said, maybe scrolling levels rather than screen transitions?

Wild Forest by haqu 2011-05-09T02:37:00

Graphically lovely. Would love to see some extension of the mechanics. Also maybe using the light to light up some of the background/foreground elements as you pass them ?

Torch by alexlarioza 2011-05-09T02:21:00

Nice little game. Though platformers generally frustrate me. I like the staying in the light concept.

I love the light-stealing bats.

It would be nice if the player's velocity dropped a lot faster. I found myself skating off a lot of ledges after a jump.

Syrup by syrup 2011-05-06T04:18:00

I don't quite know what was going on, and it was really really sluggish. Would be interested to see where this might be taken though

The Legend of Zelda on Budget Cuts by Mikhail Rudoy 2011-05-09T02:15:00

Is Ganon meant to be invisible ?
I got to the room with Ganon and got pretty confused. Still, nice little homage.

Overcoming danger with trees by Desmont 2011-05-06T04:17:00

Some frustrating jumps, but a nicely put together game. Time travel was a nice touch.

Take It Take It Take This by Rikkard 2011-05-04T10:53:00

I went to spaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace

Officer Alfred by Hempuli 2011-05-09T02:34:00

very nice indeed.

A few frustrating bits, but they were satisfying when you figured out what you had to do. Maybe rather add some easing to the time stopping/starting? Might make timing of events ( like dropping the crate down to block the lasers ) a little bit easier.

LD25 — You are the Villain

Be the Villain by Digitalduck 2012-12-17T08:06:00

Music should totally be more Twin Peaksy : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DF43b38k0Mw

Neat though. Id love this concept to be fleshed out.

(Tie One Woman to a Train Track and Suddenly) I'm the Badguy by handCraftedRadio 2012-12-20T03:35:00

Haha, such a great game - The Gloating is my favorite part.

Flight of the Abductor by enfyrneaux 2012-12-18T01:30:00

Maybe consider adding some visual effects when a goat is under the influence of your tract. beam ?

Other than that, I love the drunken UFO and the general game is nice!

Happy Vil Friends by Dew 2013-01-02T00:16:00

Love the graphics and presentation.

Bertie the Butcher by Casino Jack 2012-12-17T08:27:00

Oh I do like this one.
Sure, it's morbid, but the cleaning up blood is such a great idea. Wish there was a frantic scrubbing animation for it though.

Nice work.

Bloody Ninja Spider by Alink 2012-12-17T07:39:00

The tuck and roll mechanic is great. Did you think about how you might extend the concept if you had more time? Maybe some web swinging?

Infection by Spit Tex 2013-01-01T23:30:00

As others have said, movement - I get that you're playing as a zombie, but it's still got to be enjoyable to play.

Maybe increase speed as you increase your zombie numbers?

Dracula's Treasure by 01010111 2012-12-17T07:41:00

Cute little platformer! I like it.

Misery is delicious! by Follett 2012-12-18T01:03:00

That was great.

Needs some sort of visual indicator for the current power level (I know there's the textfield, but a circle or area of influence visual display would make it so much more user friendly)

Fun little game though, Not going to lie - the explosive diarrhea? hilarious.

Dark Dream by eShredder 2012-12-18T00:33:00

Like the atmosphere. IT would be nice if the light particles actually produced light as well - would aid in seeing them when they were just off-screen.

Dungeon Overlord: Master of the Queue by bwdevel 2012-12-18T01:26:00

Nice, fun, simple.
Maybe consider giving the players on skeleton to start?

Ludum Dare: The Musical by cageinabird 2012-12-17T08:23:00

What a charming little game!
Almost reminiscent of Monkey Island and the Insult Swordfighting.

'Goat, give me back my clothes !' by MvT 2012-12-17T07:30:00

Took me a while to figure out exactly what my goal was. I like the art style though.

The Twist by amassingham 2012-12-17T08:09:00

Thanks for all the comments chaps and chapettes!

Suese: Sorry to hear that, you're running 11.5? What Browser might that be? Might knock up a standalone if I can.

I also might tweak the loop-circle size as well. You really need to loop in tight, small circles to catch the coins.

Hope you're all enjoying it! There are some great games out there in the collective!

The Twist by amassingham 2012-12-18T01:23:00

drakefyre: The music is written in Jesokla's Buzz, using a free VST piano instrument I found somewhere, and is pretty heavily influenced by various Ragtime/Honkytonk tunes I found scattered around the internets.

ilo: Yeah, I need to tweak that, at the moment it's based on segments in the circle, but I think it needs to be based on area of the polygon instead.

iostream: Requires Flash 11.5 :)

The Twist by amassingham 2012-12-18T22:23:00

Nice AyCe!
My brother's girlfriend got 97 last night. 97!

The Twist by amassingham 2012-12-20T03:38:00

ahah! that is an awesome score! Congratulations!

The Twist by amassingham 2012-12-20T20:46:00

The more Android the better! Be Cheeky!

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! Jolly good.

Abrupt Salvation by NostraDamon 2012-12-19T01:20:00

Ah yeah, this is wonderful.
That Dynamite is so rad.

Prison Break! by tnch4_ 2012-12-17T08:29:00

Stand Back mechanic has a fun little bug where you can start moving before standing back, and slide along the wall all mysterious-like.

Neat little game, add in some smooth animations ala Superbrothers Sword+Sworc. and you'd have a really beautiful looking game on your hands.

devil guy by patrickgh3 2012-12-18T04:02:00

Idea is sound - there could be something great lurking under there.

(Don't) Save Christmas by infernet89 2012-12-17T08:11:00

Nice twist on a classic.
Makes you think who you were shooting down in the original Missile Command...

Missile Rider by rylgh 2012-12-19T01:18:00

Fun looking game, but I just couldn't get the hang of the controls, it was quite confusing. Wish I could figure it out!

Drive-over by celeron55 2012-12-18T00:52:00

From the first screenshot it reminded me of Envirobear 2000.

This game definitely needs some windscreen wipers. :D

No Presents Sad Children by hnjslater 2012-12-17T08:15:00

Haha, oh those poor children.

Make It Black by zenmumbler 2012-12-19T01:09:00

Loved the 'disgust meter', and the concept is fresh.

ECHO CHAMBER by Loren 2012-12-17T07:24:00

I really really like this. It's such a neat little concept.

Mine Sneaker by raincole 2012-12-17T07:57:00

I originally read the title of the game as 'MineStreaker', That would have been an interesting variation - haha.

I quite like the concept! Dynamically shifting Minesweeper, neat.

Satan's Booger by ddionisio 2012-12-17T07:32:00

Would greatly benefit from some sound, and a greater variety of enemies, but a fun little game :D

Villain Simulator 2000 by TheCze 2012-12-18T01:21:00

Holymoly, that is ... intense.

Trolls: Where the Sun Don't Shine by Starspell 2012-12-19T01:24:00

Loved the concept, stomping on flowers. It's brilliant.

Robin Banks by BlockBrains 2012-12-19T00:59:00

Great game, all works together perfectly.

The Mute King by vids 2012-12-17T07:47:00

I had a bit of trouble with the gestures, but I love the idea.

Why are those villagers so down on me givin' the queen some flowers? Killjoys.

President VS Eevol by SunShiranui 2013-01-01T23:18:00

Love that sneaking animation!

Oil Co Exploits by Arakade 2012-12-17T08:14:00

Same as everyone else Im afraid. Clicking seems to do nothing.

Cow Stealer by ParaPup 2012-12-18T01:06:00

Would be great if the cows actually floated up into the ship, but other than that - nice concept and well excecuted.

Ninox the Nightbringer by Dining Philosopher 2013-01-01T23:35:00

I find it odd that spikes can kill an owl - cant he just fly ? Silly owl.

Neat concept though, its sort of an advanced form of the card game memory :)

Dig Dastardly by luke161 2012-12-18T03:08:00

Can't seem to play it, just says to install the Unity web player - which I have. Are you sure it's correctly embedded?

Unity website says I have:
Version of your web player
Unity Plugin version:4.0.1f1
Unity Engine version:3.5.7f6

Dig Dastardly by luke161 2012-12-19T04:01:00

Great game, got it working eventually - thanks!
Glad I managed to play it.

Bad Bad Pigeon by Andrey Pradun 2012-12-19T01:22:00

Nice game. I wish there were some sound effects to go with the great music though

BourbonBorn by Cthu 2012-12-18T01:28:00

I quite like the idea of an accidental hero, or an accidental villain - somehow who tries to be good but ultimately ends up being evil.

A Villain Monster by gre 2012-12-18T00:30:00

Love the lightning, and the frog-tongue mechanics.
Would love for some sound, and visual effects on consumption ( spitting out bones perhaps? or just a nice chomp )

Great entry though - Top down walk sprites are Harrrrrd.

Alphanauts by dom2d 2012-12-18T04:09:00

Great game with a great mood. Not quite sure how it fits into the theme though

Super Villain Goat Hunter by Taffaz 2012-12-18T00:39:00

Needs some visual feedback when you hit a goat with a shot ( flashing red etc), and some sound would be great.

Plane of Misery by gregfagan 2012-12-19T04:30:00

Love the concept, a great idea.

Black Ops by Chainsawkitten 2013-01-01T23:40:00

I .. what ?

Event Horizon by SelectricSimian 2012-12-18T01:32:00

Nice game, I love the concept - Id suggest changing the colours, anyone with red/green colourblindness might have a bit of a problem!

POW MIA by nolacoaster 2012-12-17T08:13:00

Hit detection was a bit off in a few places. Neat nonetheless.

A Natural Villain by ClownyBastards 2012-12-19T01:01:00

Ah! my eyes! That scrolling background image, haha.

Nice game though. took me a bit to understand the launching controls ( the radial power indicator was slightly confusing - I assumed it had something to do with direction as well )

Dr. Vile in The Greater Good by GreenPixelDev 2012-12-18T01:46:00

Oh yeah, this is a winner. Super Polished, Lots of Fun, and great sense of humor.

Like a Boss by drakfyre 2012-12-17T07:45:00

I would have loved if my spiders could travel from the right screen to the left, I would have just sent waves of soldier-spiders to do my bidding.

Burglar by Manuel777 2012-12-17T07:22:00

I got a little lost, and the jumping controls are xtreme.
I wish everything was slightly larger though - the menace animations are just a bit too tiny.
Nice though.

Double Tap by Sam Driver 2012-12-20T03:30:00

Great game and concept, but I found the controls extremely hard to use, needs some sort of mouse lock I think

Noble Weapon by Meep 2012-12-19T01:12:00

Nice. Though its very similar to Super Crate Box.

Atomic Creep Spawner!! by deepnight 2012-12-20T00:43:00

Yeah this game is pretty superb.
Wonderful.

Ore Chasm by Black Ships Fill the Sky 2012-12-18T03:11:00

Getting a 404 on both links.

Ore Chasm by Black Ships Fill the Sky 2012-12-19T04:26:00

I think I ended up playing this more than any other LD Entry. It's great fun, I can see me and my friends playing this lots.

Bad Driver! +1 by uncade 2012-12-18T01:00:00

So many bonuses. Wonderful. I like to think of myself driving a matchbox car, and stabbing the feet of those giant people.

Die a Hero or Become the Villain by Mr. Wonko 2012-12-17T08:24:00

> 'die'

Yay!

Tale of Scale by ratking 2012-12-20T03:27:00

Really really nifty concept. Love it.

Heroes are so Annoying! by Knighty 2012-12-19T01:28:00

Great. One of my favorite entries so far.

The World is Mine! by matthias_zarzecki 2012-12-19T01:02:00

Good game, I feel the UI needs a bit of improvement though. Made me think of the World Domination map from Evil Genius!

Not my fault by uuav 2012-12-17T08:00:00

I really like the concept! Sort of, tripping over people and stealing things without meaning to.

Took me a bit to realise that's what was going on - but still, enjoyable!

Cruel Cruel Dastard by alect 2012-12-17T07:20:00

I love that 'Nyahaha' Sound effect. Brilliant.
Fun, cute, polished little game. I like it.

Demoman for Democracy by AaronYip 2012-12-17T08:03:00

Such a pity there's no audio! Also not quite sure how it fits into the theme - but I enjoyed it none the less.

Another Castle by RosyPenguin 2012-12-18T03:16:00

Nice! I quite like this.

Soulless Robot Rampage by Falkreon 2013-01-01T23:27:00

It really drops you in the thick of it doesn't it.
I seemed to only need to upgrade resistance once, and then I was invincible?

RefRAGErator by Halfbus 2012-12-18T00:56:00

I managed to slide on my back and travel -250m in the space of about 5 seconds. That is awesome.

Quite fun, loved playing with the tilt of the fridge, and jumping and opening doors to fly around.

Centipede 2013 by robashton 2012-12-18T01:33:00

Fun.
Would be great if it was 2 player, with one playing hero, one playing villain.

APATHY by pbdiode 2012-12-18T01:14:00

Ive just had this sitting on the menu screen for a while now, Had it in the background, and realised I was tapping my foot to a catchy tune - Nice.

Ok, time to play this.

haha, I won. (Just by standing, and doing nothing!)
I was hoping the world would push me along. That would be the ultimate Apathy Goat.

Nice game though - Maybe lower the volume of the SFX a bit, they're a tiny bit piercing.

Trip of Doom by Nonakesh 2012-12-17T07:36:00

I tell you what, stomping through fences is immensely satisfying!

Rhythm Apocalypse by RHY3756547 2012-12-18T00:45:00

This is fantastic, and I'm sorry you haven't had more comments yet!
Great to see some node.js work in here - I'll send this on to some nodey friends of mine - they'll enjoy it.

Kittenzilla 3: The Return of Mecha-Kittenzilla by quill18 2012-12-18T00:42:00

Oh yes, I did enjoy this.
The sound effects are wonderful - bet you had a blast making them.
This, super polished, would be an amazing amount of fun to play.

Unhappy Holidays! by GeorgeBroussard 2012-12-19T01:15:00

Fun game, though not sure how it fits into the theme.

NONEX by feiss 2012-12-17T07:27:00

Nice.
Simple concept, and a bit too easy, but good nonetheless.

Escape by irl 2012-12-17T08:20:00

The concept is really great, I would love to see this fleshed out into something based more in realism:
- Hiding in bushes
- Trying to rid yourself of scent so as not to attract dogs
- Trying to find a change of clothes.

Interesting!

BIOMINT by mrspeaker 2012-12-18T00:37:00

Love it.
Would love for the world itself to have depth ( really give the digging into it some impact - you can see these chunks ripped out of the earth ).

I'd also consider changing the colour of the minerals from red to gold. Red made me think I'd uncovered magma.

LD54 — Limited Space

3 Spots Castle by ecenizo 2023-10-08T19:21:01Z

This was pretty fun. The concept was good. I initially didn't know that I should scroll to the right to see who I'm battling. Maybe a minimap would've been good for this, or some other alt indicator of what's going on off-screen. I ran into a bug while trying to place the market when there are other items. Well, I just didn't know to right-click to cancel. Needs some polish and tuning, but fun TD game overall.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Putt-Putt BOOM! by LandoSystems 2018-05-01T02:05:45Z

This was really fun to play. I like the combination of tanks and golf. It feels like a natural combination of two disjoint ideas. The transitional time is great too. Gives the user enough time to feel sad about his/her actions and start right back up again. This game session transition is usually lacking in game jam games.

Cryptarch by juxipolo 2018-04-27T06:35:26Z

This game is well done. Graphics are great, the writing is fantastic. I was confused at how the card system worked in its entirety, but I got through a few enemies. Great job! It has lots of promise!

Hot Meals by Thygrrr 2018-04-24T14:26:48Z

Theme mashup works well. I was a little frustrated at flipping the car while rushing to pick up ingredients. I also got the car to land on end at one point, and the car would never reset properly. I like the game title. As a racing game, it's pretty fun. The integration with the overcooked components needs a bit more work though. Good start!

7575 by Shivur 2018-04-30T06:32:58Z

Wow what a frustrating game. I get the point though. The aesthetic is pretty good. The color palette is great. But man, does this remind me of those water toys where you have to separate the plastic floaty shapes, or whatever. Pretty funny though. This is the first Pico-8 game I've actually played. Good job!

Cardramino by Joe Miller 2018-04-28T02:21:17Z

This really forces you to think a lot differently than the two genres separately. It's like, every time I dragged a card, I thought, where is my dpad and A/B buttons!?! For me, the fun didn't outlive the novelty. I got too stressed out playing it. Lol. Anyway, good job!

Don't Shoot (Visual Novel / Tac Shooter by tigerrenko 2018-04-30T06:49:07Z

Concept is great. I wish there was more to play. Were you planning to have this as a mobile release, considering the aspect ratio of the existing gameplay?

Armagedunk by videodog 2018-04-25T01:49:23Z

The back story was great. It really did give that metal gear feel. The gameplay itself was a little lacking. It wasn't the amount of content that was the issue. That final dunk at the end, I almost gave up because I wasn't sure what to do, and I guess it really was supposed to be a hail-mary move or something. Also, the rfid band, still not sure what it was for, I assume it was to open the exit door for the area. That said, stealth games are hard to get right, so I still recognize the amount of effort put into this.

Art of the Kill by Adrenallen 2018-04-28T02:08:16Z

Initial experience was good, the part where I have to understand how to play the game in the heat of battle, and lure the enemy over the squares. This is kind of the Bioshock mentality of luring the Bid Daddy. I did not finish the game. After multiple attempts, I gave up because I was spending too long trying to get through. Lining up the player sprite was a challenge for a number of reasons. The frictional slide drift, while it looks cool, doesn't allow me to line up for the best angle of attack. And I wasn't always sure about the hit boxes, and whether the enemy was going to be over the square of interest.

One More Arm by MaximBegunov 2018-04-30T06:59:07Z

This is a pretty fun game. The session loop works well, the graphics are solid, and the audio provides excellent feedback for what's going on. The enemies provide enough variation to keep the game interesting. The only thing I think can be improved is the end-game experience. There should probably be some game over/end-session display to the user instead of just the point score set to zero. Something like showing the total score in large characters, or a gameover screen or something.

Build'em All ! by tenshi42 2018-04-28T07:47:59Z

This game was pretty fun. It took a while to get used to the aiming, as the perspective an camera angle obscures the direction of aim. There also wasn't any good indicator of how the power generators affect the numbers. The jam release definitely is not balanced, but the author is already addressing this. It's a great starting point, and should definitely be fleshed out. I would definitely buy a game like this.

Sneaky Bot by ProdigalSon 2018-04-27T06:20:30Z

Easily the best ld41 game I've played. The game is complete all around. The core gameloop is solid, the controls were natural, I didn't run into any bugs, the music matched fairly well, the sound effects were great, the models were well done, simplistic with style and personality, and the color palette was fitting. I would totally buy a full-featured game with this aesthetic and feel. I frequently revisit Invisible Inc and Gunpoint, and this is what this reminded me of. However, Invisible Inc can sometimes get too complicated. A game with fairly simplistic controls and options can sometimes be a good thing. Well done!

Oh, one helpful criticism: Please add save checkpoints after hacking each terminal. It was mildly annoying to have to redo the entire path. (Yes, I "tested" the failure case too!)

Volley Shot by Ricky 2018-04-26T06:17:22Z

Too bad it requires xbox controllers. It looks like a good game.

Happy Harvest by Ziamor 2018-04-25T01:09:08Z

This was really fun to play and it has a solid feel to it. Glad the team is going to continue fleshing it out.

I noticed a minor annoyance, in that the hit area for planting/harvesting is little hard to pinpoint, but it's pretty minor.

I also wanted to see what happens when you harvest over 99 potatoes. lol!

Dodgeball Hell by Zactar 2018-04-26T06:14:12Z

I tried hard to like this game, but the catch/throw mechanics are really unresponsive. I can literally stand where I spawn, repeatedly left click while balls are thrown towards me, and I would not catch any of them. In fact, all of them would go right through me. I did get an opportunity to actually catch and throw some balls while moving, but then actually controlling my throw back was very difficult. I recognize the effort put in the sound effects and music and the gym atmosphere. Just needs a lot more work on the gameplay and balancing to make sure the game can eventually be fun.

STEW'M by Bradalli 2018-04-28T02:34:06Z

The game was fun. I didn't notice much towards the theme. It was basically pick up items and place in a storage bin. Next step would be to get those cooking elements going. It's a good start!

Spitballs by zealous-coder 2018-04-25T02:07:22Z

I'm not sure I understand what the objective is. It seems like a tower defense game, but I dropped all 10 spitball machines, and just let it go. Is there more I should expect?

Pilgrimage by Kevar 2018-04-28T01:40:44Z

Like many of the other reviewers have mentioned, I think this is a great example of fulfilling the theme goal. The mood was also fitting. I am going to admit that yes, I did find the text to be a bit awkward, before I realized that it is not your native language. For this, I became more lenient of that scoring, and tried to understand as best I could the emotional impact you were trying to deliver with each colonization. I will also admit that I was about to give up with only a few planets to visit left, because I'm not immediately in the proper surroundings to play this game. It's a greeting card length game, yet I wasn't sure how long it actually was going to be. You really have to be in the right mood/mindset to play this game, as if you were going to be in Endless Space or Civilization, or Flower, or Journey for a bit, and not have it broken into a couple sessions. Anyway, well done!

gxf1 by JLV 2018-04-25T01:28:17Z

This was a fantastic little experience! I wasn't ready to play chess, but the visual novel take on it was great! I'd give it a 6 for humor if I could!

Good Boy vs The Bad Boys by ludomyth 2018-04-26T06:44:21Z

Only got through 3:29. Not sure how card games play, but it seemed like almost all the attack cards were stacked in the beginning and I ended up with a bunch of turn cards with no weapons by the end. Again, I probably just don't know how to play card games, or the RNG isn't working very well or something. Overall, good presentation, polish, cohesion and style. A good amount of features to show off the possibilities for future gameplay.

This game is really fun. Really hard, but I love how the game plays!

The concept for the game is pretty good. I was hung up on some UI issues, where I had some fries, from a previous order, and I could no longer give the right orders after that point. Up to that point though, it was fun. It took a while to figure out the mouse controls, and where to click. I wasn't quite sure how best to handle the stations that had a full yellow bar, before I guess it degrades with the red bar, a la overcooked. If you can clean up that user experience, by fixing bugs, and allowing the user to discard certain items, or otherwise rearrange orders, I think this game can be very solid.

@Jonathan-Daar Wow great customer service! I didn't get to a point where I tried giving extra food to the customer. The time would typically run out, as a beginner to the game. I can give it a try again. I just think there needs to be more work communicating with the UI to the player, what is happening at what station, and whether or not I picked up an item. It isn't immediately, visually, indicative of what state the player is in. It could just be me, but I had a hard time reading the important UI elements that required my attention.

To be clear, there was nothing technically broken about the game. I just think there has to be more clear communication to the player of what's going on.

The concept is good. Although, I wasn't sure if the upgrades did anything. I had difficulty finding the nest, so a minimap would have been great. The reverse direction is counter intuitive to typical top down driving games.

Tower Defense Card Game by Sunblast 2018-04-26T06:32:52Z

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I honestly only got through 9 waves with 80 lives left, but I could see myself playing to the end if I didn't have to go to sleep. I gave it an average rating for theme only because I couldn't see the card game standing apart from the tower defense game. It seemed like it was completely integrated with the td game. It could be me and my ignorance with card games though, it's all the rage with the young kids nowadays. lol. Anyway, well done. The graphics are simple, a bit small, but still distinguishable. The game is addictive, and I haven't played a good td game in a while.

The concept is good, and it was starting to get fun once I figured out what you're supposed to do. The core game loop isn't quite there though. No goals, and not very much in the way of instruction. I like the direction it was going in. Just need to put a lot more work into it. Good job though!

I had a tough time due to the keybindings, as @indielucky said, but overall, I like the aesthetic, and the direction that the game was going in. It's really well done for a first time game. I couldn't get past the pendulum though, due to the controls. I really hope you make a build with a QWERTY setup. Typically W is forward, S is back, and A and D are left and right respectively.
