Very cool idea of the puzzle, simple but fun to play.

Only thing I don't like is the control: you need to remember which key is clock-wise otherwise you may push the wrong key and die. I think we can improve it to use Up/Down/Left/Right and map it to clock-wise and counter clock-wise depends on your current position. (So when you are at the top region, left will map to counter-clock-wise)

Really like the feel of the game, especially the animation of character dying when hit by a block.

Seems it is really hard to get more than 2 connected same color blocks, and it is not very strategic to choose which blocks to cancel (since it is too much random).

The concept is very original (platformer + tetris) and control is unique. Would like to see more polished details, some ideas in my mind: - less color so we get a good chance to cancel blocks. - maybe click one block and it will destroy all block in that connected component, so we don't need to click many times. (We need to move and jump the character, so don't have much attention on mouse)

The concept is original and control is unique.

One thing can be improved is the key - I think it make more sense to swap "QE and "AD", so "WSAD" become moves and "QE" for rotating. And for the ship we should have some way to indicate which direction is forward - otherwise after you rotate it then it will be hard to tell.

@smilewood, @karlipoppins: Yes there should be background music. I had few idea like changing them between 'level's to tell the player about level changes. However I didn't manged to figure out how to make music by myself (this was my first Ludum Dare!) - will definitely work on the music next time.

@mazzletov: "yellow key shifting to a complete random letter" when it is impossible to reach a 'space bar" at your current location.

I added that logic (it is hard to code though, so maybe it is buggy) in the very end, otherwise you can stuck at a position that can't go to any space bar.

Though sometimes you will stuck with your self and you can even push your self into obstacles (and then jump into space).

And the control seems hard to master, you need to hold mouse at exact time (some times during the first half of jump, sometimes a while after the jump).

One suggestion: add '7' shape blocks so it can work nicely with 'L' shapes - otherwise once you got a lot of 'L' you don't have a good way to store them.

I think we can change the winning condition to something like total time of holding the hat is smaller, so the player will have a motivation to give out that hat ASAP.

Original idea and fun to play. It is nice use space (radius of circle) to replace 'HP' - when you crash you reduce that, it will reduce over time, and you need to pick up ash to increase it)
