Wow it is a cute game: great physics simulation, great control. I like the characters (especially the 'black hole') and graphic feels, really a joy to play.

Why opt out for the 'sound' review? I like the background music and sound effect too.

@gaoyuan-chen Thanks for the feedback! I decided to opt out of sound because the music was automatically generated and outside of that I only had two (hastily made) sound effects. I didn't feel those alone was worthy of me entering the sound category as well!

Cool physics, cool game art and cool concept. Overall so impressive! Well done :)

Fun little game. I would say that having time freeze when you go to change planet orbits would be nice, it's a little hard to understand what the force you are giving the planets will do. But I suppose that is part of the challenge.

I liked the game so much, cuttest black hole ever! Good job

I absolutely adore the game. I think it was VERY innovative and definitely followed the theme of running out of space. The graphics and particle physics was great! I'm curious, did you do this with 2D or 3D set for unity? It may be small but, I like how you have to throw a planet to start the game. That's great.

I am about construct criticism but I don't know how I would fix this. There was a certain point in the game that I did nothing for almost a minute and just racked up points. BUT, eventually a planet did spawn and made me have to do something again.

Aside from that everything was great! Good job man! I think you'll place really high in this competition. I really mean it.

P.S. I am so curious about your physics. I want to know how you got the planets rotating around the center like that.

A+

@danial Yeah, I unfortunately did not find an easy way to alleviate that problem without adding to the complexity. Time freeze is an interesting idea though, didn't think of that!

Super interesting take on the theme, and alterning relaxing phases in which you can stare at the lovely shapes formed by your moves, and super stressful ones the more you cumulate orbits. Really awesome idea and execution, everything feels smooth!

itsarabbit 2018-08-14 23:04

@rayaarito Thanks! I used the 3D set for it, I've found that some problems are really easy to solve with 3D. Definitely agree that the game becomes pretty self-playing if you've set up a steady orbit, if I hade more time that would be the problem I would tackle first.

Also, turns out that making planets orbit that way is really easy; as soon as you make something gravitate toward it and add lateral movement, it kind of fixes itself; regardless of how you gravitate toward the center! The only thing I had to handle was making the gravity force stronger when the planets are further away to keep them from going out of orbit :)

Very nice. Great graphics, sound, and special effects. It kind of lulls you into a calm zone for some reason. I think this would make a nice mobile game.

This was cute! The animations are really nice, and the orbits feel good to watch. I just wish there was a little more I could do before the planets spawned.

Very good game, it is fun.
