Love the take on the theme!
It makes me click a button 150 times so i can buy a jump ?? LOL. Very cute bunny.
Perfect use of the theme and the game is interesting.
Don't really like that you reach 0 jumps and you can't do anything about that inside the gameplay... You have to generate carrots? really? I'll give you 5 on humour though, for that "Running out of spacebar" thing. :D
I like the twist on the theme! Your art is awesome, I really love the bunny, and the sound design is quite good. I liked the surprise twist when a little platformer suddenly turned into a click a button a bunch of times game, although I was a bit disappointed that the platforming didn’t come back after I sunk a bunch of time into upgrading the carrot generator. Fun little entry, good job!
Wow. I love unique takes on themes and this is definitely one but... I have to press it 200 times for 1 jump!?!? Love the game anyways, almost felt like Mario in a sense. Great visuals and great audio, well done!
It was fun the first time but I probably wouldn't play it again. Great take on the theme though and the graphics are really good.
Bunny is cute!
Why 200 carrots for one jump? That's way to expensive..
Suddenly a clicker game... Cute idea, but not sure I want to keep playing.
It was good until i ran out of Jum, then its killing the pace.
200 carrots for a single jump!? is this what capitalism has come to??
Love the art and the concept. I stared at the screen for a few seconds, and once I realized what was going on, just started clicking away. Good job!
Love the unique twist to the theme. Graphics are nice to look at and sound doesn't make you turn off the speakers so well done on that front as well. Having to spam the mouse to continue playing is a tad of an annoyance. It might help if you could buy 5 jumps instead of one for 200 carrots or even have a passive carrot generator. Kind of like those clicker games.
I laughed...
But at what cost? EVERYTHING
Way too much clicking for a single jump. I agree with @xyntell that there needs to be something else to do when you have 0 jumps.
Your logo screen is just *mwah* buenisimo! I love the art style that you went with: I'm a huge sucker for pixelated pixels. I also think the music is very fitting for the art style and I like it a lot! I like that you implemented an auto save but at the same time I wanted to restart so that I could retry something and turns out I can't go back, maybe add a menu to let us restart the level? I didn't get the carrot generation mechanic however, could you explain your reasoning behind it?
The idea is really cool! 200 for one jump is a bit pricy though ^^
@xyntell honestly, the whole thing is kind of a joke. It was originally planned to be you gotta wait 6 hours or watch an ad. But yeah, changed to clicker.
@smilewood yeah, honestly the clicker idea only got to me like 8 hours before submission. I really wanted to add better platforming but heh, not enough time!
@balduvian-dead yes
@pancakevader if i had more time to work on the clicker mechanics, definitely. As it presents now tho, the platforming is pretty short. Just.. uh... 5 minutes worth of clicking!
@batmanasb my friend when I let him play it -- "10 minutes of my life"
@madar-games it's kind of a joke, it's really a clicker game in the end. Yeah, maybe I should have added a restart or clear save.
@nehvis you can upgrade... it's just 5 minutes worth of clicking :D
@undefinist 5 minutes is a lot of time talking about a jam game ^^
@undefinist I decided to click through and I beat the game. When I bought 3 jumps and there were still more I felt like I just got trolled. If I'm honest. Good joke. But only because I beat it.
I like the premise but I think the clicker stuff just didn't fit the aesthetic. Moar bunny plz.
@vulpineblazeyt Haha... can't say I disagree. LOL.
Very interesting take on the theme! I liked the game a lot, having the clicker aspect is definitely innovative!
I think a bit more balancing could have been good though. It 200 clicks for 1 jump makes for an awful lot of clicking for not a lot of platforming. Maybe reducing that amount or having an auto click upgrade could solve this? I also thought having the clicker screen in the same style as the platforming (clicking carrots instead of a button for example) might have helped that screen not feel as jarring everytime it popped up.
Overall, A Bunny's Tale is still a great little game and I had fun while I played it. Awesome work!
Nice game, enjoyed it very much. Keep it up!
Looks good, nice play on words. Gameplay leaves a bit to be desired
haha had a good laugh when I reached the pop up window and had to click 200 times for one carrot. Even with an autoclicker it took ages

At what cost indeed hahaha I like how the initial sourness of having to have to grind through a clicker is part of what makes the punchline work, well played
Nice idea, love the pun ! the art and music are nice. The clicker part is a bit long however :/
Nice graphics :)
This is a sadistic joke, I love it.
It was cool yes! Interesting take on theme! But like everyone else said, the running out of space (Jump) quickly turned into a clicking game and that was not as fun. Good concept though
that was so much fun - loved the addition of the clicker - great take on the theme - thanks for making the game
Funny idea! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/M4_JaetxhkY
That's a cool take on the theme and I like the idea of mixing the clicker mechanic with a platformer, but maybe the clicker part should be better integrated with the other part because it felt like a downer going from a colorful screen to a black and white text interface. And 200 carrots for a jump?? Ahahaha, it had me click a lot!
Jump generator seriously? Maybe a mini game to generate carrots if at all that concept needs to be there. Game graphics are good. Also why did you choose that engine out of so many popular ones.
@vivek-sharma20 you missed the joke. it's a clicker game.
Hahahahahahahahaha this is a clicker game, a cookie clicker!! Scores humor for me already LMAO. I think if you were going with a cookie clicker, make it right, make the clicking feels good, particle effect, button feedback, floating text, the faster you click the more you generate, etc. This can really be a fun game, I can see the potential. Why? A cookie clicker is already addictive, now you have a cute bunny, that doubles the addictiveness! haha. Great entry really, just maybe not everyone's taste :smirk: great work!
@nam-nguyen thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, the clicker idea only got to me like 8 hours before I submitted. And I had no idea how to do clicker games. So yeah, if I had more time I would have definitely expanded the clicker stuff. The humor's been hit&miss with people haha
Such a troll game :P Still cant but like it, even completed it! Where is my carrot?
The presentation is very well made, and completely blinds you to what is to come. I do think however its almost to clearly evil, and most ppl will most likely just turn it off as soon as the generator part starts. I feel it would have been a better idea to make ppl at-least think its not that big of a deal, by for example: Making new jumps rather cheap at first, then increasing there cost as you go along, having more carrots to collect so you think "if I only take those carrots ahead I might not need more", then hit them with the hard reality of the game later on.

The only 5/5 experience for me this LD. I feel like a new man upon completion. My muscles have grown twice in size, I've grown a beard which has proceeded to also grow a beard, I can now cut a log with my jaw line and the only fluid I intake is beer pumped directly into my veins via IV. Truly this game has transformed the boy into the man so please accept my sincerest gratitude.

@undefinist A nice game with great visuals, i really loved it. personally a great experience. I dig the graphics very much.
Loved the character's pixelart graphics! Such a silly take on the theme, I liked it! Thanks for sharing the game with my stream. Your game starts at around 3:20 into the vod https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297479036
@ursagames thanks for playing! really liked seeing your reaction on stream.
I liked the Graphics, and the Gameplay was fun, Nice Game.
