This was the game I was waiting to play, it's challenging and it makes you want to keep playing, just to beat that next level. And that is only helped by the shaders and music.

java, nice
short but sweet
cool platformer, just wish it coulda been more challenging and with more levels
the orbiting asteroid gave me a big spook
200 carrots for a single jump!? is this what capitalism has come to??
@mertios You can run it if you're on windows and have Java installed
Hopefully this really is, the *last* wall
i managed to get a block to the ending of the game lol breep-space-ending.png
I felt overwhelmed by the amount of control options, but overall there's a lot of features packed into this one! I appreciate the terrain and physics
I had a lot of fun beating this game! The puzzles were really challenging Though the win detection felt a bit off, seemed like I had to give the game a little time to catch up
Kudos for using c++
I like how sketchy the gameplay is, you take it any way you want
I had a lot of fun playing this, trying to get a new high score. I mean technically has a lot replay-ability being an infinite game...
@geckoo1337 The download should be a .zip file. Once it's downloaded right click it and select the "Extract All" option and it will put the contents into a folder. Inside that folder all you have to do it double click on the .jar file. JARs are executable files, just like EXEs, but just for java. It won't run if you don't have java installed, which you can download here https://www.java.com/en/download/ . I Hope this helped
The changing Audio might actually be one of my favorite parts of the game
Great puzzle game that is actually challenging and fun to play! Also nice ending.

I feel like this is a very good implementation of the theme! good job
If you delete OpenAL32.dll and install openal yourself, the game will run
but darnnnnnnnnnnn, i wish there were more levels
I really appreciate harder games where you have to grind a little to get good. My good runs were far and few between, but hitting one just felt that much better.
My high score was 118.73
Sometimes it felt like it generated platforms which were just outside of jump range, and sometimes the ropes tangled in a way where the second one was inaccessible. Could just be me being bad tho.
Anyway I can tell there was a lot of care and effort put into this game.
@frogman Yeah I had a friend playtest and eventually they got to a point where they could keep going as long as they wanted. The game progresses in difficulty until a point which it stays at. If I were to work on this game further, I would add more blocks with different mechanics, perhaps break it up into discrete levels.
@comfy Though this isn't my first 3D game, it's my most in-depth. I didn't have 3D set up in opengl before this, so the beginning of the compo was getting that working. A lot of things are hacks, like the normal lighting is baked in and wouldn't work if the blocks got rotated.
Hey c1fr1, nice game this time
The fire shader is definitely the main visual attraction, carries the game by itself. I like that the game is difficult enough that you have to try and fail a few times before you really get it.
It certainly produces *unique* gameplay, but that just adds to the charm
This game seemed like it was going in a good direction, but just didn't go all the way. I'm assuming this is just due to lack of time.
My main criticism is that navigating through the console to get to the first level is really cryptic and it's hard to know what to do... Or maybe i'm just stupid.
The actual level is challenging, which was fun, but the way the player controls feels a bit off and a lot of the challenge came from bad acceleration.
@Bodaciouslycrazy
Lol i left in a debug feature with the W key, sorry.
I used java with Eclipse as my IDE and LWJGL (Opengl binding for java)
other tools: Photoshop, Ableton Live
well i went through and changed all the shaders so they work on windows lol
This was... an experience to be had
Yeet! This is probably the best game I've played this LD. I actually felt myself learning to get with the beat and memorizing the laser keys.
After the boss it seems like the levels just repeat, other than that the rader edge hitting the player looked cool! The game felt a bit slow though, with the really slow bullets and radar taking a while to come around
