Damn, this is fast paced! I needed a few rounds to understand that you need to collect the points to make your circle bigger ^^ A very interesting mechanic and it fits the theme nicely! Good job!

Really nice responsive controls. I like the aesthetic. It just needs to show the high-score at the end.

What the heck is the title of this game supposed to be haha.

@spudboy When I went to submit 10 minutes before the deadline I realized I hadn't yet come up with a name. Also, I felt the need to hit the 80 character limit exactly :)

I'm really impressed with your post-modern interpretation of the beach. A fascinating graphical decision. Abstract graphics aside, the controls for this game are very sharp, which is basically the only thing that matters in a game like this. My two gripes are that the fast enemies are too fast (they get me almost every time, esp when the ring is smaller), and that the high score thing resets when the game ends, rather than remembering the high score.

Fun game. Addictive. I'm like it!

Original idea and fun to play. It is nice use space (radius of circle) to replace 'HP' - when you crash you reduce that, it will reduce over time, and you need to pick up ash to increase it)

Really fun game! Took me a really long time to figure out that you're supposed to pick up the debris after destroying enemies to refill the space.

nick-girardo 2018-08-16 20:26

@nicksmaddog Sorry about that, I considered putting an explanation of that mechanic somewhere but I felt like it would be tough to avoid accidentally picking it up for too long

Awesome game! loves the visuals and sfx. I personally would prefer left/right relative to the ship so maybe have an option if you took this further? Otherwise great entry, especially for compo!

@ryanjavanshir Great idea, I'll try and work in some better options if I can get some time

Simple, but really well polished! I liked the core gameplay too, it seemed fairly intuitive after a few seconds.
