Game was pretty solid, though I think it could use a bit of backstory or something.

I had a camera issue when i got to the second planet. After moving around a bit, the camera went back to the character.
I liked the characters.
The amount of detail and character in the sprites is incredible.
I love mario bros. I own an arcade machine version of it. One of my favorite games.
I love the look on the avatar's face.
Love those sprites.
Whoa! I can't believe you made that in 48 hours.
The web version runs too slow to play on my machine, and unfortunately, the mac version doesn't open.
Nothing loaded for me in the web version... just a white screen.
I like the concept...and the guy's jacket. I'm curious what the end product would have been had you had more time.
No idea what was happening.
Nothing would load for me. I get a black screen with "1 Million BC" stuck at the bottom.
Thanks for all the nice words, everyone. Given more time, I likely would have changed the sound effects. I think i was working in a bit of a vacuum over the weekend and the speakers I was using were pretty weak.
@Starmen: I think the pacing (140 seconds per stage) is ok, but if i had more time, i would have put in more stuff to do. Some things got scrapped as I was running out of time.
@Cake&Code: I deliberately built it so the dog can't die. That would be too depressing.
everyone: Thanks! I appreciate all the kind words.
Empty bowls and dishes are supposed to appear, though if you put down one, and he's already full or not thirsty, he'll walk away. The next time he's thirsty or hungry, he should go to one of those 1/2 full bowls.
The phantom bowl/food problem is a bug. It's a simple bug to fix and it only came up in the last 10 minutes when I was trying to fix a different bug. I'll leave it in there for now, but after the compo, i'll fix it.
@zx81 The real name of Yellow Dog is Olive, and she happens to be a girl. Why I chose to make her a him in the game is beyond me.
I like the concept. I think the player could use a bit of momentum so that you don't stop on a dime.
Web version: Took a few minutes to load, then told me my browser doesn't support WebGL.
I like the progression and the simplicity.
Sorry. Couldn't get it to run. Could be my installation of mono.
Great music.
Love the timelapse.
Wow! Can't believe you built a SNES game.
Had a bit of trouble playing on a trackpad. With a regular mouse, it worked just fine. I like the feel of moving your player around. The little bit of momentum adds a ton.
It would not launch for me on my mac.
It will not play on my mac.
Couldn't play
Fun!
Nothing would load in Safari.
Great art style!
That WAS really hard!
Cool concept!
That music is badass!
The voices were awesome!
The funnest game where I had no idea what i was doing.
I have a nasty fear of anything with too many legs, but your game was fun.
I wish it was longer to see what it could have been.
Nothing would load for me.
I just get a blank white page in Safari.
Haha! Loved the humor and the music.
Oh, and it ran fine on Mac. When I was done, I had to force quit, but that's about it.
Reminds me of early Atari games.
Fun! but hard to play.
Hmm... can't get past the main menu.
Wouldn't load for some reason.
