I think I have fixed the windows download to windows again. I'm trying to add a mac and web version but I cant seem to edit my entry. It keeps saying I need to log in to vote... I am logged in so not sure why that would be. I'll keep working on it.
Haha thanks, I just cant figure out how to add any additional sources like source code/web build etc. Everytime I try edit my entry it says I have to "login to vote". I know I am logged in though so im confused, if anyone can help please let me know.
I really liked how you expanded yourself and evolved. I think I just would have liked a bit more strategy in choosing where to put the points, and to fix at which point the new vertex spawns. Good job.
Haha that was a funny game, good job.
Particle effects and shooting is great, maybe slow the zombies down a little and make them smarter ie. chase you? Overall a good game, well done.
Cool but really hard. I seemed to hit a bug where it didn't pick up any key presses after a while.
Pretty cool transitions between different games. The doom and the breakout stages were really frustrating though. Good job!
Interesting game, too short though :/
The combat didn't really make me very excited but the DNA manipulation to find interesting enhancements was amazing. Good job.
Cool idea, I just found it pretty hard. Maybe a little more explanation of what each thing is would help. A win screen was definitely needed at the end, I couldn't find a way to finish the level.
Fantastic, I really enjoyed this game.
I won the game, don't know how or why :? I liked the little space ship type things.
Very interesting Idea, great job
Awesome little game, I agree the turrets were a little rare and the waves just take soooo long. Great music, simple and very effective. Good job all round.
Cool game well done. The controls were a bit weird but you get used to them. I like the music and sound effects.
Cool game, needs lots of polish but the idea is there.
Cool but more instructions are needed. It was a little counter intuitive to attack shooting enemies by ramming into them. I got stuck inside the building and had to restart :(
Awesome game, looked really good but was kinda easy in the end.
I have a soft spot for RPG's so it was entertaining. Nice artwork and sound, did you make all the assets or did you source them from somewhere? I played till you rescue the sister Laura, once you get her you cant see to leave the castle. I went back to get her and it seems you can keep rescuing her and she gets added to your party but it doesn't register that shes saved. Besides that I couldn't go back and buy more potions from the store (I had forgotten to). Good job on your first Ludum Dare, keep making more RPG's.
Cool idea, a little more explanation would have helped.
That was fantastic.
Interesting game, I felt It needed faster spawning etc. I got stuck and couldn't move any of my units around.
That was awesome, would have like some sort of way to heal :/ The music, graphics and feel of the game were all really cool.
Interesting game, its was quite hard though. I'm not sure if it was because of all the unregistered groups of three, which stack against you. I did get to level two though(and then immediately died).
Interesting, but definitely needs more variation :)
Thanks very much, I'm glad people actually tried my game out! Given more time I would have added way more levels and different types of enemies (and given the enemies more of a brain :P). It started out as multi-player only then changed my mind, so I didn't leave enough time to add more levels.
Rad, thanks very much, I will definitely add a post-compo version when I have some time! I was thinking of adding a timed bomb placement pixel and maybe a shield pixel or something... lots of possibilities I have thought of but haven't tried yet.
Haha, that was awesome. I really liked that idea and it was well done. A bit too easy if you keep mating though. The performance on my computer was quite annoying, it was almost frozen at some points like in the store. Good job.
Cool game. Too short but I liked where it was going.
Rad Idea! I really liked where it was going. Quite a spacechem kind of vibe to it.
Seems interesting, I had as much fun as I could by myself :) I'll find a friend to play it :)
Cool game dude, maybe try out different physics for the jump/gravity. Otherwise the puzzles suited the mechanics. Whats a pizza roll?!? Sounds delicious...
I like this quite a bit, quite charming and the jump felt great :)
Cool concept and nicely executed. Had a fun time with this one!
Just great!
Great message. Nice to see someone making use of this game jam as an opportunity to express themselves and reflect on what's happening around us.
Call me dumb, but I just can't drag between planets? It always registers it as a single click?
Looks and sounds great!
Cool interpretation of the theme. Lovely looking title screen and interesting mechanic!
Nice mood and promising graphic style!
Yeah, links broken. Looks like a cool game - would be keen to play it!
Had a fair ammount of fun with this before it froze and crashed my browser.
I like the pixel art versions of the dog! Some good gameplay ideas too, I liked the tractor beam and upgrades at the sun!
Much stars!
Dang, cool idea. Really hard to control your ship though.
Fantastic work Yoanndeplo!
Haha! Rad. My favorite is just holding down Z and flying around kicking people. Not the best strategy though...
Loved this! Had a ton of fun with it an played it over and over again.
I loved that the game was about rescuing people by shooting them in the face! Made for such a great experience.
Great concept and a real joy to play through. You should definately take it further!
I look forward to spending more time with this after I try play the remaining 2487 LD30 entries I haven't got to yet.
Lovely entry. Fantastic balance, it's easy to keep one or two lanes going, but so tough to unlock all 6. Great, simple but fun ideas on how the pick-ups work.
Very elegant interpretation of the theme, brilliantly executed.
You should take this idea further! Could be some really exciting possibilities if you started pushing the concept further. If you teamed up with a composer on the music, I could really see something like this being a big hit.
Great job!
Hey, I don't think the game is working for me, I can see the visuals in the orange world but the blue does not show up at all. No robot and no purple spheres. (I'm on windows)
An awesome submission. Plays well and looks even better!
Cool idea, would have liked to see some more exploration of the idea :)
Well executed game. Seen many games doing the same sort of influence type game mechanic, but the added slowdown mechanic was fresh. The graphs, music and visuals were a nice touch. Next time add sound effects :)
Cool game! I had two cultures devouring the enemy when I hit a weird bug. Another purple culture randomly appeared and my orange friendly culture was instantly taken over by it and somehow the feed on the left showed multiple copies of the orange one with 0 stats... I guess I won?
Damn - I'm dumbstruck! This a phenomenal entry.
So much to praise. To start, it's a brilliant interpretation of the theme that develops and escalates fantastically. Art couldn't be better - really really adore the character design for most everyone (especially the protagonist). Great mood and a rock solid build. Good use of sound.
If I can offer any constructive criticism, it's that the typeface could have been more legible. Cool from a style point of view, but not the most easy to read, which in a game like this, should be the first priority. But this is just a small thing, overall this is big 5 stars from my side!
Cool Game! I really enjoyed playing it and thought the concept was well executed. The only gripe I had was the sized of the ship, with most of it being off screen. I found it hard to gauge the collision for passing enemies.
So far, this has been my favourite LD30 entry! Love the art style and mood. Reminded me a little of The Neverhood which is a total win. Really can stress enough how much I love the mood of this!
"Choo choo" indeed!
That AI was brutal... Well executed game! Sound next time ;)
Awesome. Creepy. Loved it, was just hoping for more of a story line to explain the creepiness :)
Interesting game, I liked the audio and graphics. I enjoyed wondering to different planets and uncovering the story. Like one of the people I didn't know why he destroyed everything? Loading times were a bit of pain and the ship movement was really slow. Otherwise I enjoyed it :)
Good effort guys! I liked the art style quite a bit. Also: PANDAS!
Struggle to see the point of making a flappy bird clone for a game jam. Cool idea on making the internet your connected worlds, but again, no creativity in how this is shown.
Hope you had fun doing this and will make many more!
Nom nom nom!
Haha, I liked the music. The game crashed on me quite often, but I did manage to get 8 planets in-between reloads.
Damn spitting toad! Died like 5 times! Gaaah. Otherwise a well put together game, didn't get to see if there was an end game. Platforming could have been a little easier.
Just plain awesome!
I didn't seen any ninjas? I was alone with the
Cool game, I found easy to be really easy. Just ran through everyone :P
Good effort!
Nice pixel art.
Would have been great to see any effort to connect with the theme - to be honest it feels like this could just be some work in progress that was posted here as a competition entry.
Loved the art, music was cool too. The gameplay was kinda confusing and not very directed. I got to the snow level the went back to the start for some reason :/ wasn't really sure what I did wrong.
Plain and simple brilliant.
I was really surprised to see another entry interpreting Connected Worlds as an inter-stellar romance. Must say, I really, really loved how you did it. Such a pleasure to play - so many laugh out loud funny moments. Finding Kashyyyk absolutely killed me! Easily the most funny LD30 entry I've seen and beautifully executed to boot.
Rated this very highly - I hope you do really well!
Enjoyed this. We also considered an inter-planetary delivery game - cool to see someone made it happen!
Title screen is so nicely designed! Confused why that look wasn't worked into the game itself.
Still had a good time with this!
Looks fantastic and plays well. Would personally have liked to see some escalation in difficulty or sense of danger. I did really enjoy my time playing this before it started feeling like I couldn't die.
Found the music very annoying and ill-suited to be honest, but overall think this is one of the best LD30 games that I've played!
WHAT THE HELL AM I KILLING HERE?!?
Weird enemy aside, Pixel Art is just great!
Although it's very very short, what you do have here feels really solid.
Game hints at something really cool - hope you take this further!
Nice game! I really like the art and the concept. I think if you shortened the game loop by having shorter trips and less hull life it would be a bit more engaging. Also, music next time :)
Lovely looking game! 5 star graphics for sure!
Cool game, very hard! I found a bug that when I hold up and right at the same time space-bar does not register.
Cool game, very hard! I found a bug that when I hold up and left at the same time space-bar does not register.
Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! I liked the game, got to when it changes to yellow, then wasn't sure if there was any more.
Tough! I couldn't get past 14 seconds!
Not a bad game, figured out after a little while that if you don't build a farm first you're stuffed. The sounds were cool, but that tune in the background got really annoying after a while.
Cool, I finished it. I liked the artwork and parallax. The music also created quite a dark/bleak setting which was awesome. I would have liked a health bar, also I found it really confusing to tell when you would flip gravity.
Victory! 63.07s and 19 fails.
I like your game, it was fun once I figured out how to play. I sill have no idea what the different colours mean though...
Loved the graphics and the soundtrack :)
Won't start for me either. Mac - Firefox & Safari
Let us know if you fix this - looks like a fun one!
Cool game, I really liked the main game song. The only gripe I had was making the fighting a little less, "he who gets the first shot in wins".
Cool mechanic and nice art style. I think you're onto something good with this - you should take the idea further! Could make an awesome mobile game!
Rad, loved the portal hopping story. Went to all 9 places. Missed one achievement :(
Thanks for all the early feedback everyone!
Future players of Star-crossed lovers:
BASH ENTER TO SMOOCH!!!
@Amvere - just click enter and you're good to go!
Thanks for the comments everyone! @Victory Garden 16 babies??? How!? That's the highest I've heard so far.
Pretty fun! Simple and challenging. I think the only thing that bothers me is not knowing when the enemies become threatening(damaging).
Well executed, a little difficult, but complete and fun.
Simple and works well, cool music. Controls seems a little weird to me, I would have liked some WASD key movement.
Cool idea! I liked that I was learning a little Japanese lettering while playing the game :)
At first I thought it was waaay too difficult. Once I figured out how all the rules worked, I found a strategy that never lost. Finished the game! Strategy: Prioritize anything on your board, then play anything into the dead hand if it isn't full, then play anything in their board.
WASD keys worked, didn't know how to shoot?
Sorry I meant arrows worked! So does shoot, I guess I tried all the buttons except cntrl :P
Really cool! I like the mechanics quite a bit. At first checkpoint I fell through the floor. Are you removing the player velocities on respawn? A respawn key would be nice.
Seems like its just me, but the game wouldn't pick up my left/right mouse buttons. It would still track the mouse though.
Really hard! I really enjoyed it though. Felt the buttons were a bit too far away, running away + pressing two at the same time is doesn't work out very well :P
Hidden object + action game? Rad! Really enjoyed it, got 28 on my first try.
Sorry! I will try fix it when I get to my linux machine :(
