Neat idea, didn't get the purpose of the deadpool at first but it's a nice addition. It seemed quite easy to get dealt an impossible hand, but that's the nature of the game I guess. Got quite a few index errors though, so had to refresh after each game. Neat idea, little more polish would do it well. Liked the sound, it really added to it. (Also don't press X, it doesn't seem to like it)
Is this a common variant of bingo or did you make it up? Either way I'm impressed, nice implementation or nice idea. It has the whole 'wait for your number to come up' luck, but still gives you some strategy options. Actually very fun. Pretty graphics too.
Any reason why it had to be z instead of space or something? I couldn't see the bottom bit with the instructions so spend ages trying to figure out how to press select.
Very creative, and very fun. I'm not sure if this was on purpose, but my game ended on a wonderful custom error screen (attempt to index nil on line 310 if it wasn't :P), and it left me with a smile!

@drakekin: Thanks for pointing out the errors! I'd had a pretty bad misunderstanding regarding my "take" function and it was eating half the deck, which explained all the index errors.
@Foofanoo42: Thanks! This is a bingo variant I made up for the compo. I'd been frustrated by bingo before since it's more of a slow lottery than a game and had thought up some variants, though none that worked with two players.
@Chris Delta: Thanks for playing! Was that error in the bugfixed version? I thought I'd fixed everything :/ If it wasn't the bugfixed version, what happened was it tried to restart and blew up, which is one of the things I fixed :P
This is rather unique. I like it that there can be multiple way of strategy to win the game.

Pretty neat! Most importantly, thanks for bringing Pico-8 to my knowledge. The concept of a tiny fake console is cool to say the least.
Very interesting game. It needs good tutorial and music, and it will be perfect game.

Gives 'Runtime error. Line 310: Attempt to index field '?''

stoarch: Was that the bugfixed version? Did it happen right at the start or after playing a bit? (That sometimes happend right at start in the original version, but shouldn't happen in the bugfix... in either case it should go away on a reload, at least temporarily)
I beat it on my first try! A lot of games would try to make bingo more interesting by adding sex, violence or characters, but this one just has tradition and good graphics. Also, the AI feels like a real person.

This is actually quite a smart game :) Like how the game is minimalist but yet still has some depth. Well done!

Once I read the rules I really enjoyed it. Well made, smart and innovative, maybe could've used a background song but otherwise I really digged it.

I love the mechanics and the graphics. It took me a little time to figure out the controls as I'm using an azerty but it was very nice to play. Great game!

Took a few goes to get into the swing of it (is there a particular strategy or is it luck based?), but enjoyed myself once I started winning :)
This is really fun! Though the only real relation to the theme was a bit of storyline fluff in the description...
yeah! I've saved the world!! \o/
Pretty cool game with nice graphics and an interesting approach of the theme. Nice entry :D
Great little game. It's a very nice take on bingo. Until I read the comments, I thought this must be a common variant that you just pushed out there, but if you made it up, good on you. It made the whole "bingo" thing seem much less random. Also, as was mentioned above, now I've seen what this PICO-8 thing is, so I must explore it.

Quite enjoyed this fun little game, pretty tense sometimes, i liked it :D.
Nice graphics and sfx, maybe the CPU Chose sfx have a bit to much bass and made my desk tremble a bit.
Pretty nice. Pico-8 seems like a charming little thing.
One gripe though. Whenever I restart the game (refresh the page) the numbers are all the same. The random generator seed number doesn't seem to change at all.
I have no idea if changing that is out of your hands.
At first I thought it was waaay too difficult. Once I figured out how all the rules worked, I found a strategy that never lost. Finished the game! Strategy: Prioritize anything on your board, then play anything into the dead hand if it isn't full, then play anything in their board.
Haha i just realized i have no idea on how to play bingo...
Visuals are neat for a bingo game i guess :D !
Pico8 stuff seems interesting btw...
