LD28 — You Only Get One

Inquisition by drakekin 2013-12-16T16:07:00

ian_snyder: I'm working on getting it working, but the code is a bit of a mess (understatement of the week) and I have no idea why it's not working.

arrogant.gamer: Thanks, sometimes the port and fortress get put in the same city and I didn't have time to fix it. Since it falls under "game breaking", I'll try and fix it tonight.

Inquisition by drakekin 2013-12-17T22:11:00

ZYXer: The actual game was thrown together in about three hours on Sunday, I'd originally planned more in the way of mechanics but ran out of time. I had some issues with the town arrow and decided that perfect was the enemy of good.

Lesson learned: Do not do a 48 hour game compo in 20 hours.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

You Only Dare Thrice by drakekin 2015-04-20T17:09:00

Thanks everyone for the comments. On reflection (and looking at it on another screen) maybe I shouldn't have jacked the brightness on my monitor all the way up to play Amnesia the day before Ludum Dare :P

You Only Dare Thrice by drakekin 2015-04-20T17:21:00

@stuffedgravy: it's funny you should say that it's half a game... I had a lot more planned with AI agents also searching for it but ran out of time and spent far too long on the map gen. Things I wanted to add including being able to click building names and go to that building and more indicators on the map showing who had said what. It's a bit academic now though, the compo is over and I didn't manage to do these things. I would have continued onto the jam but frankly I needed today to recover and I'm back at work tomorrow. But thanks for the feedback

(mental)fairy by 0x0961h 2015-04-20T17:48:00

Really neat game, music was a bit repetitive but enjoyable. Would have been nice to have more enemy differentiation (which ones I can let through vs. which ones I really need to kill). At first I thought "9k to win? This is going to get boring" but now I've played it four or five times and I'm only stopping because I should really rate some more games. Thanks a lot :D

No Light Without Dark by Volvary 2015-04-20T18:19:00

Enemies just head straight towards you. There is no reason to turn the torch off. Enemies die immediately, there's no risk. Even a little sound or feedback when you killed something would have improved it a lot.

Nature's Assault by Ptolo 2015-04-20T16:09:00

Neat little god game. Some more instructions or some more information on the map would be nice but for 48 hours it's really good. Really liked how the climate changed, it's a really neat little idea that sets it apart nicely.

Words Are My Weapons by Adam Gould 2015-04-20T18:06:00

The last level was needlessly complicated, there were a lot of walls that looked at a glance like crumble walls but weren't and I dislike random platforming.

But.

It's a neat idea and I could really see it being used (with some tweaks) as either a vocabulary building game or a touch typing tutor. Good job! Main thing to ask for would be a UK/US english toggle. Damn zeds.

Space Bug by vicious_br 2015-04-20T18:45:00

Great idea and a lot of fun. Although the fly ability being the only one to disappear is annoying.

no. 55 by morazor 2015-04-20T16:28:00

Some sound would be nice, and the controls are a bit clunky (some more feedback on when I can/can't move, some way of changing how far I move would be nice) but otherwise surprisingly fun. Would like to play more :)

Bravery by balom 2015-04-20T16:20:00

Any chance you can submit standalone versions for those of us on Chrome who can't re-enable NPAPI support?

The Uke Guy by FeniX 2015-04-20T17:07:00

Neat idea although why you didn't just map the notes to their respective keys is beyond me. Also I still died when the "happy" square hit me. Some more art would have been nice.

Rogue Paper Scissors by bearcabin 2015-04-20T16:34:00

I really like it. The sound added a lot to the feel and the minimalist graphics helped a lot too. Very simple but a lot of fun. The AI seems a bit scatterbrained though.

Paper Work by yonbergman 2015-04-20T16:41:00

My only complaint is that there is no feedback for having completed a signature. It's surprisingly distressing seeing the page go away whilst the signature disappears. Esp. if that's the one that loses you the game.

Mine Defender by oscalbal 2015-04-20T18:24:00

Gun fires way too slowly to be of any use. Some sound would have really helped. Way too hard not to hit the carts. Looks really nice though.

A Bug's Death by Coomzy 2015-04-20T18:34:00

Movement didn't work. Finding bugs seems more random luck than anything. Sounds were annoying. The game wasn't very responsive and lagged everything else. Looked fairly nice though.

Little Universe by TheMonsterFromTheDeep 2015-04-20T17:14:00

BEES! Bees are the best unconventional weapon.

Enemies were entirely too hard to see, I ran out of ammo and couldn't see how to not do this. There didn't seem to be an end-game I could see. Some sort of plot (even "Go save the space queen bee" or something), something for the player to do, would be nice. Also the window was far too small.

Potion Quest by juxipolo 2015-04-20T17:03:00

The inability to click on a hex not next to me was frustrating. Some more guidance would have been nice. Also potions seem to me to be a fairly conventional fantasy weapon.

HYPER DELUX BINGO QUEST STORY by 23 2015-04-20T17:28:00

Neat idea, didn't get the purpose of the deadpool at first but it's a nice addition. It seemed quite easy to get dealt an impossible hand, but that's the nature of the game I guess. Got quite a few index errors though, so had to refresh after each game. Neat idea, little more polish would do it well. Liked the sound, it really added to it. (Also don't press X, it doesn't seem to like it)

Mag Gunner by Phil Strahl 2015-04-20T17:34:00

Music got a bit repetitive, blocks often glitched through walls and the controls for aiming were a bit clunky (mouse aim would have made it much easier). That said, a really neat idea and actually a lot of fun.

1D4 by Poptartica0 2015-04-20T18:28:00

I threw a everything at the things and died. I repeated this a few times. I'm not sure you can win. Graphics were nice though.

1D4 by Poptartica0 2015-04-20T18:30:00

Also, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CORRECT TAXONOMICAL DESIGNATIONS MARK YOUR GAME AS WINDOWS. This is not a web game. Your web link links to an EXE download page.

The N.I.D. Project by Somnium 2015-04-20T17:55:00

Smoother movement would improve it quite a lot. There doesn't seem to be an end-game. Neat idea though. Some way of influencing the host would be nice too.

Solar Swing by Kryptarchy 2015-04-20T16:24:00

Game wouldn't run on Windows 8.1 :(

Mouton by Noisette 2015-04-20T18:10:00

Game seems heavily stacked towards the shepherd. Otherwise a lot of fun and just bloody congratulations on making a working multiplayer game.

You're Toast by rosy_tucker 2015-04-20T16:58:00

The ability to go backwards would be nice, and the AI was a bit simple (stuff lined up to die) but otherwise quite fun. Music was nice at first but quickly became repetitive. Didn't seem to be any downsides to just holding the fire key though.

Discharge by Frozen Fractal 2015-04-20T16:17:00

Great game! The decoy mechanic makes it feel a lot less "get run down by an angry cloud" although it's unclear why this cloud hates trees.

Fun little game, although the sound is a bit patchy after a while on Chrome 41 on Windows.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Monster Living in A Cave Terrorizes Nearby Village! by Unentokku 2015-08-24T10:38:00

The battle system was fun but some explanation of what each of the options meant would have been nice. Also, replacing the bars with numbers would have been useful, yes I'm doing five damage but how much is that? Combat also took far too long.

Gojira-Chan no Densetsu by Rongefilet 2015-08-25T11:16:00

Neat idea, controls were a bit weightless. Website tried to download malware through compromised adverts though :(

Oranges In Love With My Fly by ViliX64 2015-08-24T10:15:00

Gameplay is so slow as to be incomprehensible. Didn't make it past the first "battle" and not for want of trying. Five minutes of throwing apples and oranges at lanes before I realised you could scroll. Some instructions would be nice.

$!*# by Andrey 2015-08-24T10:21:00

An instruction that letters only need to be adjacent to another letter, not in a straight line as usually the case, would be helpful. It only matches the shortest word though, so trying to make "butthole" gets cut off at "butt".

Monster Sanctuary by Erfeo 2015-08-25T10:59:00

Fun idea but it got repetitive fairly quickly. By month 15 it was clear I was going to lose but it was just a battle of attrition as to when.

Executioner by TheZiggy 2015-08-24T09:58:00

Nice idea, buttons fell off the bottom edge of the screen a bit though. Was a bit disappointed when it came to the end when there weren't any consequences, just statistics.

The Cure by Modoc73 2015-08-25T11:05:00

Cool idea but there didn't seem to be a way to tell the scientists from anyone else. Also I kept eating people by wanting to talk to them.

MONSTERS CARD GAME by alienart 2015-08-25T11:00:00

Not a web game :(

Pac Ghost by zagony 2015-08-25T10:43:00

Neither the web link nor the embed version work on Chrome 44/Windows 8 :(

Greetings, Human by boardtobits 2015-08-24T10:29:00

Won on easy and medium, tried hard a few times and bugger is it hard :D. Really enjoyed the game, regardless.

Changer by Mouriso 2015-08-25T10:45:00

Not a web game :(

Please don't put stuff under a web link and then just have that link to a download page.

iMonster by chkkll 2015-08-25T11:52:00

Loved the mirror! The whole thing felt right, the controls were nice and meaty, it had a very classic feeling to it.

Heroic Journey (LD33) by dethe 2015-08-25T10:48:00

Loved the goblin comments, controls felt a bit mushy, some more visual or audio feedback when I hit something would be nice. Any feedback when you'd been hit would have been nice.

Great idea and good work!

Bug life by mramaizng 2015-08-24T10:40:00

Nice, but short. More levels would have been nice.

LD37 — One room

Poorot by Kurakurt 2016-12-12T14:02:00

Controls are really sluggish, too many levels contained traps you can't know about until you trigger them once. Lovely pixel art though.

4thRoom by Lukesta 2016-12-12T16:33:00

The moving platforms were really tedious and hard to stay on.

Networking™ by erikiene 2016-12-12T14:10:00

I am in fact a ketchup bottle, forced to attend networking events. Nice idea.

SpaceBeaver by OWC 2016-12-13T21:38:00

Very hard, but also very fun. Wasn't sure what the abilities do, some help text wouldn't go unnoticed. Also, would suggest having the game rotate instead of the character.

Avoiding Days by keegdragon 2016-12-13T20:14:00

The link is to a google drive share, there's no web playable version and no obvious download.

Abandon Ship by drakekin 2016-12-12T14:50:00

Thanks to everyone who has played it so far. I'll try and fix the cursor lock issue ASAP (it should be getting cursor lock, and is for me). The downloadable options should have better performance and be cursor lock bug free.

Remote Operations Team - Tactical Extraction Action by HuvaaKoodia 2016-12-12T16:36:00

F1 is a poor choice of keybindings on a browser.

St. Nick's Defense by Josh H 2016-12-12T15:53:00

The web link wants me to download something.

4/4 Room by Remicy 2016-12-12T14:21:00

Nice gameplay, although it's easy to get stuck where you have no hammers and can't get to a new chest.

Moonlight Maximum by slimabob 2016-12-12T16:58:00

Some way of healing would have improved it.

ToyTankCommander by JackDTaylor 2016-12-12T16:50:00

The best strategy is to ram the other tanks, otherwise, their aim is a little too good. Fun though, lots of fun :)

GOODS FOR THE MOTHERLAND by Fidrik 2016-12-13T20:51:00

Fun little game, although the inspections were annoying. Any indication of if you'd done the right thing would be nice.

Pico Factory by caranha 2016-12-12T14:48:00

Bakeries don't seem to work, but it was very fun. Just spam juicers.

MAX by _beta 2016-12-12T16:53:00

I don't have enough key rollover to play this game :(
