I started to laugh when I realized that I am the monster making these decisions. Hilarious. And also insightful. Game doesn't have to be a platformer or have collision physics to win at this. music makes the mood. Nice job.
The game feels a little too heavy handed and has a little bit too little variety too be interesting for very long.
that's a very innovative and fresh way to define a monster.
I like the Game.
I liked the concept but it would be nice with a bit more flexibility in your choices. It would also be nice to have a more in depth case presented to you. As it is you can't really make a decision without having any evidence presented. Maybe that's the joke though
Lol, very simple and pretty fun. Hilarious concept. I love it. I wish there was some more to do, but it is hilarious to just pass the time with it.
Another social-critical game, as expected of the theme. Music was fitting, graphics minimalist but appealing. Unfortunately the "game" part is almost non-existant, again, it is much more intended as a commentary and it shows. The binary choice (if you don't count "quit job") is not much choice at all, hit home by the "there are no winners" statement. The message is clear, albeit a bit too simplistically presented. How about reading statements from also the victim/s (family) for trying for a more balanced, "bigger" picture. To me, almost none of the crimes listed were even punishable by "life in prison", so i found myself quitting my job on the first case.

This was fun, good job. Nice choice of music.
TheZiggy my Marmadukian friend! Like your take on the theme; apparently I'm "not too bad." B-D
At first I thought "quit job" was a 3rd option for the guilty, not an option for the main character...
"I'm a contract killer"
"Ok well stop your job then. Problem solved"
That's how my game ended.

I executed everyone. Would have been cool to see some sort photo or visual representation of the people. Also guns really are great paper weights!
its says im not too bad :P

Meh. Music didn't fit very well

Interesting idea (definitely like the premise of Papers Please), but it didn't feel like there was very much depth? My choices to execute people didn't really have any impact except for a percentage on the ending screen.
It's like "Fingered" by Edmund McMillen, but even cheaper :D
A frightening peek into my own soul.
Yup, I'm the monster. It's tough being a judge, especially when I don't feel like making the tough decision. My mouse just stays on the same button. Nice job trying to do something completely different.

Great idea, nice and simplistic. I would love to see this expanded upon sometime! More cases and more description would be awesome. Overall really nice.
I would like to point out that the option for 'Quit job' almost seems like an alternative to jailing or killing the guilty. But after clicking it, it made sense :)
Not a lot of feedback as to what's going on. Endless or not, I had to quit just to see if there was some sort of end state.
Interesting and makes you think, like any awesome game should
This game was very interesting and spoke a very powerful message. I played up until the police officer who claimed his murder was self-defense. I just couldn't make that kind of choice. Excellent game one of my favorites thus far.

It's a really great and clever game. Well done.

Nice idea, buttons fell off the bottom edge of the screen a bit though. Was a bit disappointed when it came to the end when there weren't any consequences, just statistics.

Interesting concept. Would like to see more gameplay elements here.

Nice concept, nice graphics.
Too bad there is not enough options, and the loosing is too fast.
Interesting.
Sent me on a power trip where I was executing people for animal abuse, fraud, and almost killed one just for being a telemarketer, yet still sparing one for rape.
I not only become a monster, but grow to become increasingly monstrous.
Something eerily dystopian about this game even though it consists only of text and a single image.
I miscarry justice and begin to fear what if I become a victim of this same injustice one day.
Absolutely loved it!
Interesting take on the theme. Music totally sets the tone of the game.

Like the way being the monster was interpreted when I realized I killed someone with a family for fraud but left the double murderer with no family live.

A game with a message? Pfffffft! Good job though, I had a laugh. :)
interesting...
Interesting concept - would love to see it expanded in the future. Tons of really thought provoking elements and scope for more.

Interesting take on the theme.
It would have been really interesting if you had stored the given answers in a database somewhere and compared the player's results to the results of everybody else who also played. That would give a sense of one's own morality vs the majority and add a "make you think" layer.
As it is, the game is only interesting for so long since the results don't really translate into much beyond your own personal feelings as you play it. Maybe that's all you were going for, though, in which case it was a success.
What a fun idea! Would love to see this turned into a full game. I'm surprised how fun it is to send strangers to their death.
Thought-provoking, although I'd have like to have more info relevant to the case. The family of the convicted shouldn't have any bearing on the decision, and I skipped over that info every time.

Innovative, but sometime the crime description isn't enough for making a choice.
That was definitely an interesting experience. You have a lot of scenarios that tested my morality, and now I'm questioning whether it was right to go through them all.

Ahh! I don't think I'd ever like to be in this kind of situation where I'd be making moral decisions like this all the time. Reminds me a bit of Papers Please in some ways. Overall it was a good experience :)
Very interesting entry! I liked it a lot :)

Interesting concept, like the message. Would've been nice if there were a few more ways to interact!
Damn, I ended up quitting the job after a few rounds, so much pressure on my poor little monster brain. Very interesting point of view on the theme, loved it!

I think the one that hit be was the two paired choices for Child Abuse and then directly after, Animal Abuse..... it's sad to think that we as a species would classify these separately yet I found myself place both people in jail for life..... the lack of a neutral option (or less severe sentence) really got me. Well done, good sir....well done

Loved the idea, but it felt a bit bland for 2 days but overall a very enjoyable experience.
Like the game! I felt like a monster playing it.

Nice take on the theme. The music is very fitting, really nice piece. One thing I'd like to see is that decisions you make have more impact on the outcome of the game. But very innovative indeed.

I like the fact you've listed the perpetrator's family. While having no effect whatsoever in the gameplay, it does a lot to make the player think about the weight of the decision and the inevitable effects of it on the lives of others.
The game is thought provoking for sure and that I enjoyed. The ending was a bit of a let down as I was hoping for something a bit more elaborate. Either way heres some food for thought for you or anyone wanting to pursue a concept like this further.
Morality is always a hard subject to handle and I feel the game's stance, which basically states that sparing a human life is always good compared to taking it, is a far too simplistic approach. Some would argue sparing the life of a serial killer that has killed over a hundred people is not moral and in that person's eyes the person making the decision is not a good person at all.
Also the available decisions are both very drastic and in some cases seem like total overkill for the alleged crimes. The player has very little information to go by and has no way of determining even if the final statement for the perpetrator is true or false. If I was in a real situation making these decisions with this amount of available information, I'd quit the job.
The real problem, with having the game make the judgment call between if you are good or bad, is the fact that even if there was actual simulation, if the player had more information and the available range of sentencing was wider, the outcome would still be based in the morals of the person writing the simulation and the morals of the society he or she lives in. So even if the game tells me I am a monster, that is only a fixed viewpoint at the matter.
Also sentencing is typically based on law which is most of the time (but not always) based on ethics of the society. So maybe the question should not be what the punishment should be, because that would be dictated by the crime, but instead, with more information available, which of the alleged crimes is the perpetrator truely guilty of?
It is hard to be not the monster.
Interesting idea, but it needs something that add conflict I feel. Once you've decided that the death penalty is OK, or if you think it's never OK, you kinda don't have any thing to choose. It's not like kill one guy to save many or something. Not sure what that would be, but if you figure that out, then you're good to go :)

That's a heavy hitting game. You really succeeded at making me feel like a monster, so you really nailed the theme. But unfortunately that makes the game no fun for me. I don't enjoy being the monster :(
You could have pushed the game further though. After making me decide you should present me the consequences of my decision. Tell me how many orphans I produced, how much money the imprisonment costs and so on. This would make my decisions feel a lot more relevant.
excellent presentation, but lackluster gameplay. Just choosing whether or not to execute a criminal isn't really all that interesting. I get what you were going for, but it just didn't really hit me in the way I think you were going for. It seems like a lot of the content was randomly generated, but a game like this really seems like it needs hand-crafted and fleshed out stories to make the player think really hard about a very deep moral conflict.

Very, very heavy handed game. As much as I want to appreciate the game, it was too hammy for me to take it seriously or funny. Just not a game for me.
The idea was interesting and the music is really cool.
I ended executing almost everyone and the lady who got caught by murderer and want to kill more people I sent to prison.

Nice concept, but as some others have mentioned more details on the cases would've been nice. Maybe more punishment options (less harsh) would've been useful too.
