LD27 — 10 Seconds

Ten Second Sketch Racer by mollymus 2013-08-27T01:50:00

Visual style and music were excellent! I'm really quite impressed by it.

Fun Little Dollies by Shugor 2013-08-27T01:57:00

I loved the concept. I thought about using that alternate version of "second" as well. Also made me laugh quite a bit, well done.

Jack is gonna Die! by psychomonster 2013-08-27T00:49:00

I really liked the design of the main character, but other artwork was hit or miss. Had some difficulty managing the controls (felt jump was a bit weird, but that may have just been the lack of animation for it?) but maybe it's just me!

Subject 18120 by deammer 2013-08-27T01:45:00

Really love the visual style. The controls felt great and responsive (especially jumping, which I appreciate!)

Death Star by Nuclear_Hammer 2013-08-26T23:55:00

Some of the art was nice (especially the player character) but I found the buttons a bit unresponsive and so it was difficult to get anywhere!

The Burning War by MegaMasterX 2013-08-26T23:44:00

Trying to access the site tells me it odes not exist!

The Wrong Door by Tangible Games 2013-08-27T01:33:00

Love the visual style and humor! Also love the take on the theme, very unique. Impressed that you even added voice overs!

Withdrawal Syndrome by Supernaught 2013-08-27T02:54:00

I really liked the visual design! The music was simple but nice. Jumping did not feel as responsive as I normally like, though.

'Dungeon Escape' by designatius 2013-08-27T01:55:00

I liked the music a lot! It was catchy. I also really liked the concept, interesting to have a speed puzzler.

I disagree by papercaves 2013-08-27T01:17:00

Amazing visual style you have! Even though the take on the theme was nothing extraordinary, the destroying mechanic itself was simple but addictive.

Campfire by BloodJohn 2013-08-27T00:15:00

Really wonderful visual style you have, and I love the unique take on the theme. The player character got stuck quite often, but that was the only issue.

Dwarf Wars by Falcon 2013-08-27T19:28:00

I like the visual style, it felt very clean. Only issue I had was I didn't feel the timer added anything to the gameplay!

Injured Eternity by Lissar 2013-08-27T00:57:00

nSun - There is a solution, but it requires some exploration and experimentation! I had worried that it might be difficult to find, but my testers did not seem to run into an issue. I actually have AGS, but I am not too familiar with it. Didn't want to spend most of the weekend trying to learn the ins and outs of a new program.

mtrc - Thanks! Not sure what you mean about a paperclip, as there isn't one. You might mean the brush, which has a special trigger that requires exploration. But I understand that with so many games, people aren't going to have the patience to play the game multiple times! Thanks for playing, though!

The Clock's Curse by M.O.U 2013-08-27T01:06:00

Easily my favorite game that I've played in the Jam so far! I love the graphics, the take on the theme, and the puzzles. Only issue was that it would have been really nice to have some sort of instruction. Went through some frustration before I realized what it was I was supposed to do.

Antidote by Antidote 2013-08-27T03:12:00

Really impressive! I love how smooth and fast it feels, perfect for a game with such a short time limit.

BECOME A GREAT ARTIST IN JUST 10 SECONDS by mcc 2013-08-27T02:35:00

This is a game I'm going to keep going back to, I love it. Though I may have to do so with the sound turned down, the noises made me a bit ill.

Talking Is A Free Action by VDZ 2013-08-27T00:03:00

Even though the visual style is simple, I rather liked it! The music helped set a good tone. Even though the whole cursed by Time Witch thing is a silly contrivance for the mechanic, I actually really liked it. Only big issue is somethings the character wouldn't move at all, requiring me to jump before anything would happen. It made completing some rooms difficult.

LD28 — You Only Get One

Our Man, Dragon by scoopsy 2013-12-19T01:27:00

Fire seemed to move a bit more slowly than one might expect!

XenoSerf by My Sweet Whomp 2013-12-18T00:23:00

Great visual style and humor! Interesting take on the theme. A bit too much clicking though.

Shine by AdventureIslands 2013-12-18T11:14:00

Great game! Lots of fun to play, and I love the light ball mechanic.

PixelSurgeon by ponk 2013-12-17T13:32:00

Very interesting concept, and I love the way the game looks. Being a lone cell against encroaching disease did not make me feel like I had a hope of winning, however.

Space Wreck by primaerfunktion 2013-12-20T03:14:00

I had quite a lot of fun with this one! Definitely saving it to play later. I actually want to survive to the end this time.

Charon by jerombd 2013-12-19T01:45:00

Absolutely adore the retro style you have here. Definitely needs more explanation about how to play the game at the beginning though!

1 by ComaToes 2013-12-17T03:57:00

I'm glad I clicked on this one.

Save One For The Kids by SonnyBone 2013-12-17T06:44:00

Oh no, this game told me I suck! :<

FowL Play by Sakuyan 2013-12-18T10:29:00

I liked the bit of glide you gave the chicken. And the robo-chickens, of course.

Dirt Cheap Dungeon by dalbinblue 2013-12-17T23:02:00

Nice Zelda-like with appropriately retro graphics that I quite enjoyed!

Sixteen in One by zatyka 2013-12-19T01:50:00

Great take on the theme! I really enjoy this. Nice music too.

Doubt by rxi 2013-12-18T10:22:00

Really gorgeous graphics and music!

Hospital Trash by finefin 2013-12-17T12:21:00

Ha, didn't expect to find a clicker game! I love the horror aesthetic of it and the unique take on the theme.

SUMMONING ONE by arcticleaf 2013-12-17T07:41:00

Gorgeous backgrounds and animation! Would be nice to have the controls listed in game.

She: A Game About Life by Hyde Wyvern 2013-12-17T05:36:00

Lovely graphics! Laughed when FF music came up during the car scene (even though my laughing may have been inappropriate!?). I had the same bug as SerialVelocity, however. I believe I had taken the 5th avenue road?

One Torch by ahnt 2013-12-17T23:56:00

I love this concept as a puzzle game. I'd like to see it expanded upon!

Resistance Runner by Mezzomatto 2013-12-17T07:54:00

I had to click on this since the cover image reminded me of the 90s! The only issue I had was that moving uphill was somewhat painfully slow.

Shadow Night by ParaPup 2013-12-18T11:31:00

Ha, actually jumped a bit when that thing suddenly showed up!

Peaceful Greeting by Jilt 2013-12-18T00:05:00

Gorgeous game! I love in game languages, so I thought this was really fun. Could have used an editor though!

Aquila by Anshul Goyal 2013-12-17T04:33:00

I thought the concept was really interesting. I enjoyed how the level built itself and then showed it to you at the end. I didn't feel a sense of progression, however, which could really be improved. I would like to see this idea fleshed out more!

The Last Rock by JaviCepa 2013-12-17T11:48:00

The fact that a zombie can kick a rock until it's dead makes this a winner in my book.

Life According To Bob by Ariake81 2013-12-19T01:24:00

Really cute game! I love the concept.

One man, one shot by lightsoda 2013-12-17T06:25:00

Fantastic graphics. You have a great style! Jumping was a bit awkward and movement slow, but it was enjoyable.

Silkworm Princess by cinnamonmelonpig 2013-12-18T10:26:00

Was a little confused about what to do at first, could have used a bit more direction!

Eldritch Racing by ian_snyder 2013-12-19T01:57:00

From what I could see of the graphics, I liked the style, wish I could have seen more of them! I liked the concept too. It was too difficult to control, though. Oh well, going mad is a fitting fate.

Byte's Socks by drkrunk 2013-12-17T12:24:00

I loved the art style you have here, and I thought the dirty sock mechanic was an interesting way to create a potential fail state without making it an instant fail state.

YOGO by mathphreak 2013-12-18T11:03:00

I died! Hooray!

Cat Gentlemans Play: Insult Spinner 10 Cents by RobotLovesKitty 2013-12-17T06:50:00

I demand online co-op!

My Old Kentucky Home by emmelineprufrock 2013-12-17T06:18:00

I really enjoyed the extra bits of writing you could look at that gave the text extra flavor.

Awareness by kakhoofd 2013-12-18T10:58:00

Glad to see people handling mature topics, would have like to have more interactive bits though!

One Outcome (is all you get) by bitserum 2013-12-18T11:19:00

Great atmosphere!

You only get Juan by Croze 2013-12-17T04:14:00

I knew someone would make a pun on Juan!

One Duck by Stratovarius 2013-12-17T04:21:00

The concept is funny, but only being able to select a duck and then watch what happens didn't feel engaging.

1 by eralpkaraduman 2013-12-17T13:36:00

I'm going on an adventure into white space! Tell my mom I love her if I don't return.

YOGO Letter! by hbocao 2013-12-19T01:40:00

I wanted to enjoy this game, but the first word I got was "buss"! Apparently this is an archaic word. Which, while fascinating! is a bit frustrating in this kind of game.

Medieval Fantasy Island by aayars 2013-12-18T00:38:00

Gorgeous game! Though I'll admit what I really wanted to do was just explore the island.

Queen's Agent by Oxeren 2013-12-18T10:54:00

Loved the style of the game! Great job.

Dumb Waiter by KamikaziUk 2013-12-18T05:23:00

Apparently I'd be a terrible waiter!

The Game of Fun by stvr 2013-12-17T05:12:00

Good to see you get your kids involved! Future game designers? The sounds were adorable.

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-17T05:01:00

Perhaps in the future I will include a darker bar on the bottom when moused over to indicate you can go back.

Thank you for the comments everyone!

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-17T07:37:00

One ending is called "Betrayal", the other is "Betrayed"! (I just checked the code so I know I didn't accidentally make an error). And thanks, I put that in there as a placeholder to fix a bug that occurred when speciestype is not defined, and forgot to change it!

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-17T08:57:00

Really? It shouldn't be like that! I'll have to fix that. Thanks for letting me know!

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-17T09:12:00

Fixed the issue and uploaded a new version!

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-17T22:05:00

Turns out there was another error causing people to get the final ending too easily. But I fixed THAT one now. I guess this is my fault for not knowing the quirks of Ren'Py and not being about to thoroughly test the final product before submission!

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-18T00:57:00

Ugh, thank you so much for figuring that out! I wish I hadn't done variable punctuation in that manner, but I hadn't used Ren'Py before and didn't have time to figure out if there was a better way to handle capitalization (like for example in Ruby). At least I'm getting this stuff figured out for the when I release the polished version next year. You're all beta testers now!

Process Journey by Lissar 2013-12-19T03:01:00

Thanks for the feedback! A lot of those things I will be changing in a later version, though it would be too many changes to make on the jam release. I didn't spend any time changing the default Ren'Py UI, which is why it is so frustrating for many, I think. It wasn't built for this sort of game in mind.

Brave Boy Punches Enemies by CAT_IN_THE_DARK_WOOD 2013-12-18T10:40:00

But I wanted to choose the crazy girl!

Level 1 by digihacker 2013-12-18T11:22:00

Cute graphics, jump felt a little weird though!

Protoport by Und[0]ne Devs 2013-12-17T13:05:00

Visuals look quite polished and I love the teleportation mechanic. Game was a little difficult for me though, and I'm usually good at this sort of thing!

El Tigre Il Assassino by popogames 2013-12-17T08:13:00

Great game! The artwork is especially nice. I'd love to see this expanded on.

Just the one by glenaskey 2013-12-18T10:10:00

Remind me not to jump again.

Afterwife by Bribz 2013-12-17T05:43:00

I enjoyed this! I thought the floating mechanic was quite unique (though that old man must sure be strong to generate that kind of lift). I do recommend rewriting it as "Tap Space" rather than "Press Space". "Press Space" makes me think you only need to do it once.

Finding Serenity by BraindeadGeo 2013-12-17T11:57:00

In my defense, I stabbed him because I was in a video game.

Monogamites by gagege 2013-12-17T03:55:00

Rather terrifying, to be honest. That can be good, of course! Wasn't quite sure of your intention, though. I liked the take on the theme and thought it was unique, unfortunately not very fun to play.

The One Fork Restaurant by drludos 2013-12-17T23:59:00

Interesting but simple concept! I bet that fork is disgusting, though.

MediQuest by chikun Dev Team 2013-12-17T12:59:00

I liked this use of the theme! Controls felt a bit stiff.

One way out by lennaert 2013-12-19T01:32:00

Great art style and atmosphere! Though I think I enjoyed floating around as a ghost more than anything else.

You Will Fail by anissen 2013-12-18T09:43:00

Yikes! That was a scary experience.

The Day the Laughter Stopped by Crabman 2013-12-17T04:59:00

This was a hard read, but good. I enjoyed the subtle use of music.

Lumen by Nelien 2013-12-18T11:34:00

Beautiful game! I love games set underwater. You really managed to capture that feel.

Mead Greed by fleabit 2013-12-17T06:31:00

Great concept. I thought the walking animation could have been a little speedier though.

System Control by conormn 2013-12-17T23:48:00

Great style. It's a good thing these processes are automatic as I'd probably be dead by now.

Get a Job! by Coin Flip Games 2013-12-17T04:48:00

I think I wouldn't last very long in this job!

Do not miss! by ambi 2013-12-17T04:39:00

I enjoyed the screaming of the civilians. Er, I mean the sound made me laugh! Wait... Anyway, a lot of them died.

Lestac by almightysuit 2013-12-17T07:20:00

Lovely exploration game! (My favorite kind of game). The music felt a bit at odds with the rest of the game though. It was a bit too hectic when I think something more atmospheric would have worked better.

Stretch Bouquet Point by mister_morris 2013-12-19T01:54:00

This was certainly an experience.

G.T.F.O. by Centhra 2013-12-17T04:04:00

Controls were a bit stiff/awkward, but otherwise I enjoyed the sense of urgency you created.

The Vigilante: Single Shot Justice by MagnesiumNinja 2013-12-17T06:04:00

Nice story! Bit of a silly twist end but it was enjoyable. The flow of the game was a tad confusing and at all times I felt like I was just choosing at random until things happened. I didn't feel much like I had a reason for making choices. Still, overall I enjoyed myself quite a bit!

Good to see other visual novels entered in the jam. I made one as well!

You Only Get One Ball by DavidErosa 2013-12-18T11:05:00

Best graphics ever! Ball is impressively bouncy.

Going Around by daredevildave 2013-12-17T12:46:00

Glad to finally run across more adventure games. I really loved the look of this game. My only complaint is movement tends to be a bit difficult with pointing in 3D adventures, WASD would have been better, I think!

Cardocalypse by Shigor 2013-12-18T10:00:00

At first I didn't know what I was doing and didn't get very far. So many sheep!

Ultimate Wish by Carduus 2013-12-18T10:04:00

Gorgeous game! Best looking one I've seen, I think. Gameplay was interesting, but ultimately a little frustrating.

You Only Get One Cookie by Rose 2013-12-18T09:36:00

Cute little game! Wish there were more levels.

Le Artilleur by sanojian 2013-12-18T09:40:00

Apparently having floating ships isn't all that useful in the end!

One Path by postmodestie 2013-12-18T09:51:00

I always appreciate voiced sound effects!

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

our god lives underground by Andrew Shouldice 2014-04-29T03:04:00

Wow, I'm TOTALLY in love with the visual style. It builds up such an amazing mood, and the short length works great.

Delve by conormn 2014-04-29T06:44:00

Beautiful game with an interesting concept! Would like to see it expanded on.

Evolve by Overkill 2014-04-29T03:25:00

Gorgeous game! Controlled smoothly as well. I'd love to see it as a full title.

Deep Collective by olkeencole 2014-04-29T04:16:00

I quite like the idea for this game, and I enjoyed the low poly style. Only problem was that looking around with the mouse was too heavy. I'm guess this is supposed to be simulating low gravity perhaps? But it didn't feel like it worked well.

Behind Mirror by SaintHeiser 2014-04-29T05:51:00

I particularly loved the graphics and music, I thought they were quite cute. A little too difficult for me though, sadly!

[Work in Progress] by Jon Fischer 2014-04-29T06:55:00

This concept is really neat! Such a unique take on the theme.

In Too Deep by Toestee 2014-04-29T02:58:00

I really loved the mood that was built up and the ending was great. Wish it had been longer. Experienced quite a bit of freezing.

denudation by zillix 2014-04-29T05:19:00

I quite liked this game! The gameplay was quite unique, it controlled well and was just fun to play. The visual style was also cute!

Syndrome by Anoarith 2014-04-30T02:52:00

This was an interesting idea, although I didn't get many of the answers right! I guess I'm not a psychiatrist.

Strider Submerge by Britt Brady (Gloom) 2014-04-29T03:42:00

Loved the visuals. I thought the voice overs were a nice touch.

BLOODWURM by DanteDouglas 2014-04-29T03:48:00

I quite liked the munching noises! Oh, and I'm not sure a link to the itch.io page for downloading the Windows version counts as a "web" version. I was quite confused at first!

Biolab1 by Damian Elkins 2014-04-29T07:08:00

Hello! When I downloaded the game it said that there was nothing in the archive.

Losing it by Fox_in_sox 2014-04-29T08:41:00

Great visual style! The concept was interesting too.

Under Pressure by BuriTeam 2014-04-29T03:57:00

Quite creepy! I loved the mood.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Hypnagogia by Cake&Code 2014-08-26T08:19:00

Cute style! Though it felt a little strange to have this type of game without free movement.

Heart Star by AdventureIslands 2014-08-26T19:55:00

Super adorable game! I loved all their little expressions/animations.

Chaos Heart by YMM 2014-08-27T04:23:00

Absolutely adored the main character and her facial expressions! Her voice was cute too.

A Tale of Two Megacities by GAFBlizzard 2014-08-26T19:48:00

Interesting take on the theme! Also, very relaxing.

So few polys! by villhest 2014-08-27T01:38:00

Lovely style and exploration!

Tribe of the Giant by MerlijnVH 2014-08-27T03:00:00

What a unique idea! Well done.

Boat/Mouth by PeteGrammarman 2014-08-26T06:55:00

Haha, what a bizarre concept! I enjoyed it just for that.

\ \ World Shift \ \ by lambomang 2014-08-27T00:45:00

I would love to see this concept expanded on! Controls felt a bit floaty, though. 3D platforming is hard!

They Took Ghost Cat's Donut by Teejay5 2014-08-26T07:57:00

Cute looking game! Pretty difficult though.

Me And My Ghost by jahlgren 2014-08-27T00:13:00

This felt pretty polished!

CyberSwap by _Rilem 2014-08-27T06:11:00

Really great style, loved having a cyberspace world you could enter. Too bad you couldn't finish it! RPGs are difficult even under the best conditions.

Honko's Worlds by FrankieSmileShow 2014-08-26T05:31:00

Cute game! The music was catchy. Would have been nice to increase the pixel size a bit, it's so small!

Into The Shadows by Dans17 2014-08-26T06:20:00

Pretty creepy! Especially the wall posters.

Telemetronomic by BasmanovDaniil 2014-08-26T20:09:00

I liked the atmosphere of the two worlds, though ultimately switching between them like that just felt a little frustrating!

Dead Land by BoaHeck_ArtGent 2014-08-26T07:50:00

Loved the low poly style!

RED Thread by NickZangus 2014-08-26T23:52:00

Super cute game! It felt really polished.

InfiLoop by komjaur 2014-08-26T20:00:00

I clicked because I thought it looked rather like Antichamber, though I think maybe this was a bit TOO much like Antichamber! Still, nice effort.

Heaven or Hell by EMAK 2014-08-26T23:24:00

Pretty fun game, actually! Loved the visual style.

The World Within by Oxeren 2014-08-26T06:39:00

I love this concept, it's adorable! Game seemed a tad difficult to me, though.

Line Crossing by Lissar 2014-08-26T08:57:00

Vinhuman - Yes, that was something I noticed and had planned to look into but it got lost in the shuffle of a million other things I had to attend to. Perhaps I'll look into it in a few days when I try to make my updated non-LD build!

Line Crossing by Lissar 2014-08-26T21:37:00

HellBlazer - Yeah, I had planned on having dialogue choices and that would determine what items you get for the endings, unfortunately I ended up having to cut that as I lacked time!

AdventureIslands - I've heard about this bug, but haven't been able to reproduce it myself! That and people ending up with a blank ending. Not sure what's up with it, I'll have to continue looking into it.

Line Crossing by Lissar 2014-08-27T06:13:00

LaFleur - Thank you! I absolutely ADORE Kentucky Route Zero. That's the best praise I've gotten this whole jam.

Steam by Pinktreeleaf 2014-08-26T07:25:00

Sweet story. Glad to see someone else using Ren'Py!

Sinister by Joe Williamson 2014-08-26T05:20:00

Pretty much perfect, except for the length. But since you polished this bit up so nicely, I'll forgive.

LyftOff! by mcapraro 2014-08-27T00:28:00

Slick visuals! Was a bit confusing at first to figure out what was going on.

Any Moment by Jakub Koziol 2014-08-27T02:11:00

I just wanted to say that I'm suffering from depression too, and sometimes it's really difficult. It nearly kept me from finishing my game, but somehow I made it through anyway. I'm hoping life will be like that, even when it gets hard that I'll make it through in the end. I hope that for you, too.

Chipset-0 by deepnight 2014-08-27T23:24:00

Just perfect. Thank you for making it!

Connected Pylons by Pat AfterMoon 2014-08-26T20:13:00

That was pretty fun! Could be a cute puzzle game with more polish.

Pyramid Head goes to work? A little confusing, and at one point I think I glitched back to the beginning!

World's Best by PillowPigGames 2014-08-27T22:26:00

Beautiful art style! Some weirdness in character layering which made it difficult to see where the enemy was in relation to me.

Kate by LaFleur 2014-08-26T23:43:00

Enjoyed this! Especially the atmosphere. Wish there had been a bit more variety so I wouldn't keep going around in circles, though.
