Could have some more features, but nice game, very good art style, also nice the diversity of the levels.

heugamer 2015-04-21 04:15

Good-looking game, could use some indicators as to where you can move to transfer to the next area.

frenchie 2015-04-21 04:18

The art is really nice in here :) I played it for a while but I kept getting lost. I had a really hard time knowing which corners of the map led to other areas. You should do something like making them all a different color or bolding them or something.

undertakerinf 2015-04-21 04:18

No exit markers and spawning in the middle of each area made it very confusing. I picked up some things but was mostly lost. Pretty though.

I enjoyed the ambiance and the quiet sense of loneliness. Great visuals. It's a bit hard to navigate though. I can't really tell which corner will lead me to the next area, and sometimes I don't want to leave an area yet, and I do by accident.

blushine 2015-04-21 04:22

Very pretty, loved the graphical style. Combined with the sounds it created a cool atmosphere.

I found the talisman, book, and necklace, but couldn't find the flute. I also met the beast but couldn't seem to interact with it.

The way the map worked was a little confusing. Hard to tell what was the edge of it, and what was a portal to the next tile. I also kept accidentally clicking on myself and opening my inventory when I was trying to interact with something in the world.

goadrich 2015-04-21 04:24

Great graphics! I liked the visual cues that you were at a cliff's edge. They set the mood well. Wandered around for a bit, but didn't get a good sense of what I should be doing when I interact with objects.

heardtheword 2015-04-21 04:25

Absolutely gorgeous. I agree with what others have said about getting lost though.

I was able to find the talisman, book and flute (had to cut) but not the necklace. Seeing the beast was a definite "WHOA" moment but I had no idea what to do.

juxipolo 2015-04-21 04:32

Cool style, but hard to figure out how to navigate the map - can't easily tell what screen edges are connected and which are not. Couldn't figure out what to do once I found all the items.

pixelcyborg 2015-04-21 04:34

Great atmosphere, plays like a storybook. With some more details to give it a clearer direction it could be quite the adventure :^)

dyfer 2015-04-21 04:51

Really beautiful style but didn't get everything. Probably need more time to enter this game.

zeriver 2015-04-21 11:32

Interesting idea with nice art and music.
The downside is that you can get lost really easily.

tselmek 2015-04-21 11:44

The atmosphere feels very nice and the art style plus the sounds make it better. A bit lost on where to go or not to go, but it felt nice playing.

designernap 2015-04-21 11:47

Love the art style and audio. A little tricky to figure out where it is possible to go.

thopis 2015-04-21 14:12

Love the idea and the feeling of the game. The character is great also!Good job.

sararycow 2015-04-21 15:27

Love the art style, the atmosphere is great! would love to see more

bitdecaygames 2015-04-21 15:48

The Good:
- the art was really unique and I really liked how it all fit together (the demon dog was a little out of place)
- I liked the sound effects and the atmosphere it created

The Bad:
- I almost rage quit from getting lost, the scenes were cool with the art, but trying to play an art piece can really suck sometimes without proper game elements
- I didn't quite understand the story, but I'm guessing its because I got lost so frequently and could only find the village by pure luck (and I never figured out how to pick up the burnt book)

The Ugly:
- nothing really, the app ran just fine on my MacBookPro

Good job! GO LD32!

I like graphics and sound (quality of sound is great compared to other Ludum Dare games I played), and the idea about day/night cycle (though I discovered it on the second play only after reading the description), but the gameplay is a maze-walking frustration. Should have more actions per area and more clear links between areas. Found all items but no use for them. Found a demon, expected it will eat me or I will play on the flute for it (which banned the knife for me forever), but it ignored me:( Also an intro would be nice

P.S. at some areas I got Z-ordering issues with heroine moving though log (for example) and back

nonobattle 2015-04-21 20:54

Didn“t really understand what I had to do, and where I was actually supposed to go, but pretty as hell. really liked the mood and the sound of the game.
My character just disappeard or got stuck behind some big trees on the area with the shroom circle though.

xbcw 2015-04-22 03:58

The style and mood are excellent here. Reminds me of Hayao Miyazaki. The one difficulty I had was finding where the screen transitions happened.

vidsneeze 2015-04-22 08:19

Good Game! just the right amount of exploring. Was kinda scare when the demon wolf. But i was able to put the spirits to peace. Also the atmosphere was brilliant!

mandolin 2015-04-22 21:34

Phenomenal atmosphere. Love how you stuck with the isometric view even if the view was obstructed at times. Very clean minimalist art work.

Can't wait to play this more when I'm not working.

monkfallsinsnow 2015-04-23 01:45

I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this game. The art style is awesome and minimalist soundscape really immerses the player into that world. The game's mystery compelled me to keep searching for items, and trying to decipher what to do next. My favorite game so far. Great job! Please, continue to develop this.

raiyumi 2015-04-23 06:32

I like the ambiance and sound effects. The world definitely needs some sort of exit marker. But overall, it gives off a really nice mood.

phi6 2015-04-23 12:06

Absolutely love it. I rated the post-Jam version as its more true to your original vision, and besides collision bug fixes are allowed. The graphics are fantastic and I would really love to see this turn into a full game.

kabutakogames 2015-04-24 15:37

I loved this! Great atmosphere and design for something so small

deadfragment 2015-04-25 18:44

Very gorgeous looking game, but could have more things to do within it, even if it's small interactions with things. Loved the sound as well and felt like it was building towards something great, lots of potential in this concept and would love to see this developed further!

Great job on your game! I had a lot of fun playing it. I love the adventure, art style and the environmental sounds. Keep up the good work!

drprettypatty 2015-05-11 20:54

Very very nice! I couldn't stop playing. Like others said, it would help a lot to have more indication about where the exits are on each scene, but as you play you kind of figure it out. Great job!
