Thanks for all the great comments! I'm going to update the game with some of your suggestions. I especially like the idea of having an indicator of where the enzymes will show up.
My time was kind of limited over the weekend otherwise I might have been able to take it a step forward. Instadeath was something I tried removing but it became too easy so I'll have to figure out a balance. Thanks again to everyone who commented and voted!!
I love the humor in the game. The tree jump was a bit tough but I managed on the third attempt around. Only thing missing is sound.
The traffic lights were mesmerizing. In fact I didn't even notice the minimap at first so it was a bit disorienting. However, I enjoyed the game once I figured that out. :)
I agree with the other comments that when you lose it should let you know why. Maybe blink the dot on the minimap?
Neat idea! I enjoyed the cloaking concept although I felt more like the hero turning strip clubs into candy stores. ;)
It might be interesting if there were "good guys" that hurt you when you're the villain. Like a little old lady that chases you with her cane.
Really enjoyed the game. I wasn't very good at smashing all the guys below. It might have been interesting if the spikes were automatic like a tower defense game but only when you're at the control panel.
Oh, and I love the music loop! Very fitting.
Love the audio effects! The gameplay was simple yet challenging.
I agree with madhoe that color highlighting would help. It may also help to present each shape one at a time. Also, I was expecting at some point the circles would increase my "health" in the game since they merged with the player object.
Some of your json files won't load. They show a 503 forbidden error in the console.
This was a lot of fun! The opening scene with the monkey made me laugh as well as dropping bananas on the floor. Really clever use of different "weapons" in the game and each one had a unique way of using it. Great job!
I enjoyed this quite a bit. Loved the use of colors fading into pictures. It was short but definitely got my interest.
I'd suggest changing the main screenshot to one of the "red" screens to maybe grab more people's interest.
Oh no, there's gum in my hair!
Really neat platformer mechanics especially since the bubble has multiple uses. Loved the boss fight as well.
Really interesting idea and I liked the scoring system. Your graphics were fun and fit perfectly with the theme.
I didn't feel like the music really went with the game but it would have been great for an action game. Personally I think it would be interesting having unique "voices" for each character, mumbled words or beeps for HAL, and an audience reaction based on the score (oooh, aah, *applause*).
I'd love to see an updated version with more scoring "puzzles".
Definitely has potential! I like the concept but the character slid around a lot. Slicing the enemies was really satisfying. Maybe reducing the "air time" would have helped to maneuver around the bullets though.
The web link is a 404 error. This looks very nice and I'd love to try it when the link works.
Very polished as usual. Love the gun play and cheeky humor.
Not really fun but it made me smile. Oh chicken...
The atmosphere in this game is great! I love the use of the blanket and pillow as a weapon. The sounds gave me the heebie jeebies (in a good way).
Interesting idea, bribing the law by chucking money at them. I like the different values of cash you could throw by getting power ups. There should be an attack where you "make it rain".
When you get hit by the guards it shows +10000 which is confusing because it actually removes cash.
I wish I could vote on the theme because it fits in my opinion. Nice sound and relaxing gameplay. It's similar to most match 3 games but I've not played too many where you have to avoid making matches.
I'm impressed how much you packed into this game. The spreading fire mechanic is by far my favorite but I enjoyed making the enemies slide along the screen as well. Great job!
I hit a bug where I couldn't continue after beating enemies in 1, 2, 3, 5 order. The screen kept scrolling but didn't switch to the second city section like it had before.
Interesting idea with stealing powers but I agree with Phil that the jumping was a bit much. I really enjoyed the comic style though!
That was a fun auto runner game. The upgrades could have cost more money because I was able to buy them all in one go.
Good job for your first jam! The music was a good pick but after a while it stops playing.
The projectiles were quite difficult to see. One thing that might have helped is if the background was darker so the foreground would pop out more.
Entertaining physics game. The last level was difficult and fun to navigate!
I enjoyed the concept. I was a little confused on the game play, whether or not the cities were supposed to be green or red. I also felt like the smog was a little overwhelming compared to the pink clouds. Maybe add more progression to the amount of smog clouds.
This was an incredibly difficult Dr Mario style game. I wish diagonals would have matched or maybe just 3 in a row. Overall it was a fun game and it kept my interest until I lost. The poor kid choked on a pile of candy...
I enjoyed this game but couldn't get past the stage with the bottle. The guy lit himself on fire and then killed the old lady. Nice idea and the arrow physics were enjoyable (especially the bounciness).
I like the slow down while typing but agree that turning around would be useful since you can walk past some enemies. F1 didn't work for me so I had to restart several times to view the attack list. I'd love to see where you'd go with this if you had a bit more time.
Love the art style! I got stuck where the two platforms alternate when you play music because I couldn't jump high enough. It might be an issue with OSX?
Well that was dark. Great voice acting and graphics!
The overall game was simple and short but it fit the theme well.
I enjoyed this a lot. The ninja theme fit well and had me chuckling while playing it.
I got the game to run but got stuck going up the ladder. The gap between the floor doesn't seem big enough for me to go through.
My first thought was "aw, those bullets are adorable" which turned into "oh no, why are they chasing me!". Really clever idea and the bullet return mechanic was tricky but satisfying when I pulled it off. Great job!
Fun puzzle game! Took me a little while to get the hang of it at first plus you challenged my color mixing skills. :D
The bubbling color fountains worked well in that I wanted to stay far away from them. I'd love to play an updated version of this game if you continue working on it!
Tried to run the game on OS X and got an error. ERROR: SpriteLoader.load_spr_imageio file does not exisit?

Interesting concept and it's very nice looking. The swinging was hard to control and I found myself launching into spikes or overshooting platforms. That said the overall game was great!
