@RyanNielson: yep, you're right, I also feel the lack of knowing when you're hit. And the responsiveness is definitely an aspect to improve! :)
@Hempuli: well, at first I was going to let just one kind of bullet at the same time, but next I added a consumption bar for each and let every weapon be enabled at the same time. I also thought on letting several options of each weapon, but finally didn't get to that. That's a point I also thought for a while, thanks for the feedback!
@GAFBlizzard: yep! I also got that complain from other people. I'll have to change that too. Thanks for letting me know!

To be honest, I thought a little on that when developing, and thought that the lack of responsiveness would be a "feature" that would make it more challenging. I obviously failed, it needs to be a little more responsive.

Thanks for all the comments! Up and down shooting was coded, but no time for up-down anims so we focused on more playing stuff.
Anyway, we will revisit this game for sure!

Time constrains everywhere, and I'm not having the desired time to invest into it right now, sorry :( but better and more sophisticated collision shapes and a proper pathfinding are two enhancements I would like to accomplish.
Anyway, as @JotaJota said, we're planning on spending much more time when we're able to do it.
Also, note that both of us, @JotaJota and me, used this jam to learn new tools. He did it with Krita and I did with both Haxe language and Luxe gamedev framework.
What can I say about Luxe after doing this? it really helped A LOT; I may have spent time figuring out about some simple stuff, specially Nape physics setup (I'm used to Box2D), but it was definitely worth. I can't wait to see what can be done in a weekend jam now that I have some experience :3

Sorry but the in-game instructions are outdated. At game screenshots you can check full instructions.
@mattlevonian: it sounds like the executable is not finding any level, please make sure you have the 'levels' folder near all the other files.
@Troma: please make sure you have Java JRE installed.
@Dining Philosopher: I also use linux. It is weird that you get that, it seems like it's not loading levels well, you should have the levels folder next to the executable and it should run. If the error is from the editor, it is that you just need to place a startnode in order to play a level. Can you tell if the 'levels' folder is next to the executable? thanks for the interest!
@Cake_Catastrophe: thanks for the comments! detection is random, but there are two things that affect the probability: the quality of the node (green the least, red the most) and your health (lower your health, higher the probability).
You can use stealth to trade some time for health, and also not get detected. You also gain time by infecting nodes.
And another detail: you can infect nodes in stealth node, but you can't while detected.
Hi all, I'm sorry, the game is a little unbalanced, but it's playable if you understand the abilities. You can not just go and attack, you need to use buffs, stunts and the like.
Also, I placed some explanations on what the abilities do which you can access by pressing space on the map view, and then pressing enter on the ability.

The resolution is mid coincidence mid lowrezjam. I recently participated in the lowrezjam and wanted to do something in the mood. The screen is too large for the lowrezjam anyway (it's 80x80, lowrezjam is 64x64).
About the music, it seems there were a few bugs with the audio. I don't know if it can be about allegro, since I'm using 5.0 here and last stable is 5.2. Probably it's my fault, but couldn't solve it.

@mrsylar59 all the prayers do the same, which is increase the bar on the top of the parishioners. You should start by buying The Virgen of the Rocio, which is the leftmost icon before the banks. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy.
@exofrenon yes! area of effect and upgrades were discarded for time reasons, because I would have wanted to show the area of each relic and thus, having to implement some selection system which would have risky in time terms because I didn't spend much time. Thanks for your comment.
@dp3rucha it is very weird, can't say for sure what is happening since a friend tried it on windows and myself on wine; I have updated the game to move the position of the dragon more to the center just in case it had something to do, but I really doubt it
@PsilocybeGames the game should not be fullscreen; I have updated the game forced the display to be windowed anyway

This jam is being a mess in terms of issues D: first time I'm having so much crap =O= sorry! next time I will try to get a windows machine myself in order to run it... now I couldn't since I'm stuck using my shitty job laptop and don't have space for windows or virtual machine, I was just able to test it on wine and asking people to test it...
