Thank you for the comments. The computer monitor is for you to place the floppy disc in once you have collected the 9 diamonds to end the game. Thanks again :)

This looked like it could be fun.
However I didn't understand any of it...
I understand that you're trying to recreate the Atari 2600 flop... but all that happened was I walked around, saw a number going down at the top, saw a number going down faster when I was supposed to be falling in a hole... I know that it's supposed to be entirely on one screen only, but if that's the theme, then you should leave a reboot of E.T. for one of your own projects or for a future theme.
Sorry but I just found it poorly planned, the coding seemed fairly good though.
I couldn't seem to run the game.
It begins to load, then a junk of the screen turns white whilst the loading screen is still being displayed, then it freezes.
Sounded pretty fun though :)
Looks like some nice graphics and shading, although the game play is tricky (which, don't get me wrong, I enjoy some difficulty- but at this level, I'm sad to say I closed it because there weren't enough enjoyable aspects to balance it all out). It's a good puzzle-based idea though and the limitations only further increase the more thought that you have to put in to it in order to complete it, which is good because that's what these types of games are all about. Overall, a neat job :)
I had a hard time figuring out what was going on, and the enemy's weapons seemed to deal a considerable amount more damage than mine did. Other than that, a neat little game, although the game state rendering needs a little work. :)
Oops, title is meant to say "King of the Cave" instead of "King of the Cane". Is there any way to fix that? :s
Not to worry, fixed it. :D have fun!
Nice concept and implementation of the theme. The graphics speak for themselves- but the gameplay makes up for it. It's a clever idea and kept me going for a solid 8 minutes of gameplay. Pretty fun game, keep it up :)
I wasn't able to run the game, and so I cant really rate it... but it looks pretty cool! Great idea as well
<3
This is the first time I have ever come across a scratch entry. I reckon I should give 5 star for innovation. Overall, you should be proud as it is a neat little game :)
Awesome.. the only way I can put it. Reminds me a lot of Watch Dogs. I love the accuracy of it and the attention to detail is great and it was an intuitive experience. Well done :)
I had no choice other than give high ratings for this game, cuz it was quite the submission! Multiplayer, awesome graphics, amazing music, excellent concept? I wasn't ready! :D
A nice little game, I got to the king whom I assume is the boss, however I died at that point. It is nicely composed, well done!
Couldn't get past the title screen :(
Neat little game for as little time as you had. Most people go too ambitious even for as little time as 4 hours, yet you kept it reasonable and the outcome is worthy of playing.
I found the story surprisingly easy to paint a picture for... does that make ME the monster? :o
A neat little PC game, however when the birds came in I was super confused. They just kept spawning and when I hit them, they would turn into a four-winged red vulture of death? And then back into a bird? Then, all of a sudden, I died.
Very nice physics/lighting/control/graphics and it is evident that the game is very well designed and coded, the music was awesome too.
The lack of HUD was a problem, nothing to show us a score or lives and that made it more confusing. Hopefully you can take these into consideration for a great post-LD build.
Well done! :)
A really nice game, however I found that there wasn't any kind of strategy to it, it was more of just spread the disease at one point and hope that it spreads to everyone.
Also, I found that once you lose (when survivors are left) the time between then and restarting the game was too long for me. Yeah, I get very impatient if I can't restart the game right away, which is more my fault :P
Overall, a very neat entry, well done! :)
GREAT GAME. I loved it- the graphics had a nice NES feel, the levels were blatantly well designed and play-tested, and the physics were well composed. The corpses even bounce when hit by the blades and fall when they having nothing to support them!
A nice little game, control was responsive however felt clunky at times (i.e. when attempting to jump onto blocks). A nice little game with nice graphics that add to the mood. Well done! :)
A nice little game that reminded me of the old star castle arcade game. I found that this game didn't require much skill until I figured out that you can move around... after I had closed the game. I'll give you an extra star overall as that was my mistake :P overall, an addictive little game! well done! :)
You know this game is good when every time you die, you say to yourself just...one...more...try...
Unique idea, found it surprisingly challenging (in a fun way). Well done! :)
Funny, but not very intuitive. Nice look for a game made in 24 hours. A lot of British natives can relate to the language used in the game. Gameplay was quite fun however by the third stage I just felt like I was releasing the click randomly and hoping I would hit the jelly. Well done! :)
This is quite a nice little game. Control was great, however the aim of the game and the game's hazards were not always that clear. Is the aim to get to the end, or is there some sort of score? There was a distance at the end, so I assume it's for the high score.
Plus, what does this have to do with the theme?
There were also these hexagon-shaped things which I thought were powerups but were actually hazards.
Don't get me wrong, this game has nice graphics/audio/physics etc. and I really enjoyed the experience. I try not to write a review that sounds negative.
If you issued a post-LD build with a little explanation, I'm sure the game would be easier to understand at first.
Overall, a pretty awesome submission that is evidently well coded and designed. Well done! :)
A nice little idea and a well composed game, however the constant clicking became old fairly quickly and the military didn't feel threatening at all.
Dude, forget how many fish there are in the sea, I think I'm in love with this game!
Awesome effort, love the art style (the go-pro style effect, as I like to call it as I don't know what the real name is, is freaking awesome) and the mood and innovation is amazing.
Issues:
Not sure why it's being shown on a monitor, unless that's just to show off your fancy filter abilities.
There needs to be save states, seriously.
Well done! :)
"Minecraft mobs meets agar.io" -IGN
^^^That's how I imagine IGN would rate it^^^
neat little game, however I thought you'd be able to swallow the tanks if your slime was big enough.
Blocked by my antivirus and windows, wouldn't let me unblock for some reason. In order to be fair, I haven't rated game because of this.
Quite a nice little game, enjoyed the graphics however the lack of audio was a minus, using the mouse to aim was nice (meaning the game was 'very PC'). It became difficult fairly quickly which annoyed me cuz I was enjoying myself quite a bit. I replayed and killed one person on purpose to test if a grammar error would occur and it did; that being "killed 1 people that day". However, I don't mean to be a grammar nazi, and I very much enjoyed this game. Well done! :)
Nice little game, I don't have anyone to play with so a singleplayer mode would've been nice. *sigh* I need to make friends.
Confusing, the game takes a while to settle in and I didn't really want to wait that long (yes I'm impatient but I don't have a lot of time to browse the LD games and I'm aiming to rate 10 games per day) however the atmosphere and graphics caught my eye. Well done!
The graphics were awesome for something made in 3 days, it was a little confusing and the full screen kept becoming out of line with my monitor so the buttons at the bottom couldn't be accessed. However. the tutorial at the start was very intuitive and the game was fun and welcoming to look at.
For those wondering why the enemy stops moving at the last room, you're supposed to release the blocks in front of the enemy in order to push it into the program and destroy it. Hope that clears things up a bit. Thanks for playing :)
I found that using the mic made the game more innovate than the rest of the LD games, but I'm not comfortable doing that... so I didn't play.
Game won't run for me, despite having the latest version of java installed.
Surprisingly fun game, had a lot of fun figuring out what to do. I really hoped you could pick up the people and throw them through doors and stuff, or at other people.
Man, there's all this violence going on, but the happy-clappy tunes are just playing away.
@MrMordem I am using Windows 10, without using an emulator.
EDIT: I got it to work. The problem was that I extracted the files into a folder full of random other LD games that I've downloaded and they all got messed up, so it was a fault on my half.
The game was confusing. The art and sounds were very nice, however the "how-to" menu didn't lead anywhere so I didn't know what to do. I found out that you could throw axes but that was it and they didn't seem to do anything to the rounded-up NPCs that seemed to follow me when I walked to the right.
I'd love to see some sort of Post-LD build for the game and look forward to playing it if there is one in the making :)
I played through the whole game; except i played the hard mode about ten times before giving up. At first I was confused, I was just trying to plant bombs on random planets before realizing that the random floating coloured men at the top actually meant something. That's not your fault, it was mine for jamming out to the sweet tunes that were pumpin' out of this game :D
This game left me with no choice but to give you a high rating. Well done!
The sounds are playing and I can interact with the program, but nothing shows up.
On Windows 10 if that information is of any use.
Honestly, I don't know what's going on.
Very nice graphics and audio, the human death animation was nice, and the physics were very well composed. Well done :)
DUDE, THIS WAS AWESOME!!! Possible the most original entry I've seen so far. I actually loved it. However I noticed that the humans had the same running animation as megaman, which I guess is one of the reasons you opted out of graphics. Gave 5 for innovation and four for most of the other themes, well done! :)
The physics were nice, however the game was incredibly confusing for me.
Nice little game, reminded me of agar.io. The mouse controls were a bit more unique yet made the game kind of frustrating. I got to the third level where you can only eat cells of a certain size but even when I had infected all small cells I couldn't infect the big one :( overall, a nice little game. Well done!
Made me download a ton of files in different places on top of multiple Windows SafeScreen and Anti-virus warnings, which I didn't really feel like doing for a small LD game... and so I haven't rated to keep it fair.
I really loved the exploration aspect, and the fact that you can move from house to house is interesting. The rain effects are trippy yet cool. I would've thought that this game would be marked as inappropriate for some users as it is quite gory, but it was fine for me.
Reminds me a lot of dumb ways to die, and the graphics were very faithful to that kind or art style. The lack of audio wasn't very appealing but the game itself made up for that, well done!
The game and instructions were quite confusing, however it's a neat little idea. Wish there was more to it though.
Web link took me to a download page, however I enjoyed the game.
Neat little game, found the messages on the floor added to the mood. I also found the message that says "hi :)"- did I find an easter egg?
My only problem with the game was that it was hard to find people to kill, and the AI was shallow.
Banging tunes, though!
It was kind of confusing at first, I'm sure giving it a little polish would make it a pretty fun little game. Overall, it was quite enjoyable.
Don't understand what this had to do with the theme, but it was a nice fun game that reminded me of N64 games. The voice of the woman was very creepy.
I think I found a glitch, when I was in the dining room there was an open drawer with a hammer in it. When I closed it, the draw disappeared and the hammer stayed floating in the air. Weird.
Didn't find the game any more than confusing, I finally figure out that you're meant to drag the cursor away from the +1 vote and then sort of got the idea. I actually don't know what's going on.
Neat little idea, though.
A nice game that is actually quite a big one and could take a while to beat, however the repeated clicking became boring fairly quickly and stopped me from playing past wave 4. However, an overall enjoyable experience! Well done! :)
Loved it, 5 stars overall, great job!
The innovation was pretty low, however the game itself was fun. The theme relation wasn't very creative and didn't go further than the fact that you're just a monster. The humor was quite shallow, yet the audio reminded me of happy wheels so that upped it a bit. Overall, not bad :)
The lack of instructions made this game very confusing to play, however the gameplay experience reflected the effort that you've put into the game.
Took a while to download, but when it finally started running, an exception was thrown:

This happened using Microsoft Edge and Chrome browsers also.
Couldn't play the game, says the data folder is missing yet the data folder is actually present.
I loved the gameboy look of the game (minus the background of course) however when I was walking down a long hall I couldn't tell if I was moving or not. I didn't get to the end cuz mazes make me go insane and the music was creepy :P however, I enjoyed the mood of the game, character animations may have been a nice touch but maybe the lack of animation was intentional, I enjoyed it otherwise and would love to play a post-LD build of some sort. Well done! :)
Problem with Shortcut:
"The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'DECI-Mation.Ink' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, then try again."
Nice graphics, slightly confusing on how to play however I got the hang of it. I felt the game was a little too easy and some of the NPCs were unnecessary; but a fun little game overall. Well done! :)
It's a shame that this game wasn't as enjoyable as it looked. It's obviously well made and very innovative, but the constant coughing and phone ringing in the background was really annoying. Also, floppy's speech bubbles got in the way of the important stuff on the right, and it was confusing.
I'm sorry if this came over as a negative review because it wasn't meant to be, the visuals, humour and innovative aspects were really nice and I would love to play a post-LD build. Well done! :)
I was looking forward to playing the game but the keyboard input didn't work. Well the W and S keys didn't but the R key did, the mouse movement worked perfectly. Great music and nice mood otherwise. Well done! :)
Links takes me to the kongregate homepage.
A fun little game, arrows and space bar seems simple enough for controls (and it's how the good old 2D PC games used to be!) but the up-arrow-to-jump got a bit confusing at times.
Also, what's the motive of the game? There's no indicator for score, and you die from one touch.
Overall, a nice little game with a well written web player engine and funky music. Well done! :)
Old school monitor filter is old school! :D
I found the mood a little shallow, however I had fun overall. I found that little features such as the heal animation were a neat little bonus.
Awesome work, guys! Had to give a very high rating. Reminded me a lot of dumb ways to die, and that's not a bad thing. Waiting on a sequel ;)
Cool neat little game, I was very confused what to do So I placed the skull on top of a stick and a rock in one of the twigs on the stick then the rock grew into a tree and grass grew everywhere then the island got submerged into water and then the sky went all red and the music went all eerie and then I got scared :P
Overall, nice game, but I feel that it could've had (a) more (clear) objective to it.
I haven't rated the game since I felt sketchy about it wanting to have access to 'modify/delete phone and SD card contents' and 'access to Wi-Fi Network'. Is there any specific reason for this?
Also, you should try to put out a PC port for this game to tend to a bigger audience.
Clicking didn't seem to do anything. I was very confused
Interesting concept, I was surprised at how short it was however the retro-CDR-type menu made up for it. It would be cool if there was more to it than just mashing buttons, for example you have to use the buttons to dodge projectiles like flying plates or something like that whilst still trying to beat the opponent, then you could try and force the opponent's arm into the obstacles to weaken them, etc
I have to give it to you... it's pretty ambitious to make a board game for LD. I've been in the past 6 compos, and not once have I seen a board game. I might never get a chance to play it so I rated it fairly based on the idea of the game. Well done! :)
I had this problem when trying to run the game myself, but I fixed it. First of all, make sure you have the latest version of java and all that. If you do or that doesn't fix it, try opening the .jar file using 7zip or any other file exploring tool and navigate to the META-INF folder. Inside should be a file called 'MANIFEST.MF'. View that file and paste (without quotes) "Main-Class: com.anaglyph.src.main.Game" (make sure to get rid of any other lines that start with 'Main-Class'.) Hopefully that fixes the problem, sorry for the inconvenience!
Neat little game with interesting mechanics. The music at the start put my off quite a lot, and the repeating mashing of buttons got boring after a while, however the graphics and mood of the game made up for it. Well done! :)
Cool graphics and a nice atmosphere!
However, the mouse didn't appear to work as I couldn't pick up turnips and ended up getting confused and frustrated. The game was also quite slow but it came under a surprisingly small storage use. Overall a pretty neat game.
"I'm feelin' right, music sounds better with you..." (I hope someone gets that reference so that I don't look like a complete idiot)
Well done, nice little take on the theme however it was very challenging. At first I thought you had to dodge the little circles :P Good work :D
I found the mechanics of this game very interesting. I got used to the idea of the game very quickly, which is to me probably one of the most important aspects of a game. Didn't have much time to play, but I thoroughly enjoyed the game for the time that I had to play it and will definitely come back to it at some point after the judging has finished. Well Done :D
Awesome little game. At first I was confused, there were little balls appearing out of nowhere, but then I started to move around and suddenly MINDSPLOSION! EVERYWHERE! :D
A neat little game. This is the type of game where I begin to feel like I'm in a strange zone, which was only supported by the strange yet fitting music. Overall it is quite well composed, however I feel like the messages on the blocks could have had more meaning. They probably do and maybe I'm just being blind :p Well done! :D
Where's Kingdom Idle 1? :P
Looks nice and neat, but it's very broken. The mouse wouldn't respond a lot of the time, and at first I thought it was bad communication with the server, but I could see the rest of the game functioning fine. Other than that, it looks like the game has potential for a good post-LD release. Maybe this could be the alpha or beta stage.
"The background looks like the wallpaper in a baby's room!" If anyone gets that reference, then I love them.
The above sentence is relevant in two ways since the game is also made for raging as well, which I didn't know until after writing the sentence.
Anyway, neat little game, well done :D
Gut gemacht! ;)
It's rare to see games made in scratch for LD, and this one is done very well. My only problem was that I could glide my ship to the bottom of the screen and just sit there, dodging all of the asteroids. The spaceship easter egg was an awesome addition too.
I didn't rate because my computer wouldn't let me play the game due to countless security pop-ups. Looks great, though!
This game was eye-catching to me when looking through the games to vote menu... probably because of the 3D-effect of the room.
This game has a really neat idea, and it plays with your brain a bit. The story at the time really added to the mood of the game and how interesting it turned out in the end.
For the cons... the game got a bit repetitive after a while, and it's not very interesting if you don't read the game description on this page (as I found out when I first played it- sorry!).
However, there are a lot of positives- there's a lot of nice attention to detail, like the working clock on the wall! Also, I liked the fact that it was written in java since it means I can poke around and mod it as I understand the language.
Overall, a really interesting game that has obviously had a lot of effort put into it- well done! :D
I'll admit it, I'm not good, with puzzle games, and I couldn't get past level 5 :P
But the game was really cool. I was especially impressed by the physics of the blocks, and the idea was really simple yet fun to play. In my eyes, LD games that have a simple idea are the most fun to play. Well done! :D
Neat little game!
I got a little confused in the beginning but eventually I got used to how to play. It seemed well made and the whole idea of having the sniper's vision showing seemed very interesting. The only complaints I have are that Whenever I tried to shoot someone, it didn't work and I had to be really close to get them. Also, the sniper seemed to see me when I was hiding behind a stall and disguised as trash. Other than that, awesome work! :D
I was really impressed by the graphics and the awesome music really added to the theme. This is kind of a dumb complaint, but the web browser window I was using kept scrolling the page up when I used the up arrow as well as moving the character so the game was hard to play. Also, it took me a while to get used to the fact that the D key
restarts the game and I kept restarting by mistake, but I guess that's more my fault. Anyway, awesome graphics, great audio and a fitting mood. I would have to say I expected more from 30 years into the future, but I think this is a great entry nonetheless.
Good luck!
Too bad I'm but a mere mortal and can't play them game ;)
It's got some artistic value, it's a shame there wasn't much gameplay value (or am I really missing something here?)
A fellow java dweller ;)
The amount of effort put into this game for such a short time span is great, it's a shame you weren't able to finish it though, however I can't blame you for such an ambitious idea. Not really my type of game but I had fun nonetheless :D
What a happy game :) Loved the music and graphics. Didn't really get the point at first but I got into it pretty easy, you don't need to get all complicated with it. The scrolling background was a nice touch too. Well done ! :D
I was super confused at first, and I found an issue. I walked down to the middle of the map on the first level and walked right, then I couldn't walk anywhere else. The key input was working (I could fire my weapon) but I couldn't move anymore. Please fix, I would love to play :D everything else looks good!
This was a neat little game. Props for doing it in vanilla java. There are a few ways I'd improve:
>Once you've assigned each house a job, you can't do much but sit back and watch it happen. Maybe you could add more buildings at the cost of science points?
>The sounds were really high pitch for me. They weren't bad at all, just quite annoying since they were quite loud.
>Since you can just sit back, an option to speed things up would be a nice feature.
However this was a really cool idea and has more strategic aspects than you might see from first glance, e.g. you need food to replace someone, so food should be a priority... but that's sacrificing science points. Maybe focusing more on the strategic aspect like this could've made the game even better.
I know I put a lot of improvement ideas in here but I promise this is purely constructive criticism. You did an awesome job to do a 48hr standard java game (something I've been doing for a while and have never seen anyone else do thus far), so well done! :D
Hmm, where have I seen that font before? ;)
I loved the art style, especially the underwater stages. The second stage annoyed me since the first big fall didn't kill you later on in the level there is a second fall that did. I could never get past the third stage, but I enjoyed it so much that I'll have another go later ;)
Neat little game. The light gun was a nice idea but didn't serve much purpose. There were a few glitches too, for example the camera could be moved even after dying, and if you hold down the A or D buttons while jumping against a wall then you will get stuck there until you release the key. This didn't prevent death when falling into gaps, however, and only prolonged an inevitable death :) There were a few minor graphical glitches with the shading and a bit of sound would've completed the game's mood. Overall it's a nice game and I had fun playing it!

Nice work! I found it difficult at first being overwhelmed by so much going on. The art is simple yet very well done and looks great. Keep it up!
Loved it! I managed to collect them all, kind disappointed that there was no ending or event that happened upon collecting all the toys but I had fun nonetheless. I also found a bug- This only happened on the last stage as that's the only one I failed, but if the time runs out and you get the red dialogue box, you can still click the buttons and cranks to complete the level. I think it'd be cool to add more modules than just buttons and cranks to keep it interesting, and maybe a challenge mode where you have to complete the puzzle in a specific order, i.e. clicking the button allows you to turn the crank next to it and so on.
The minigames were interesting, simple yet fresh. Didn't get very far myself but overall an enjoyable game!
Control was a bit confusing, it felt like the tank should've moved in the direction the player is facing rather than in the respective direction of WASD. I couldn't figure how to pick up the batteries. Music was quite loud too and couldn't figure out how to turn it down. Overall, a nice little game
Neat little idea and executed well! The mechanic of having to get around the dead animals to kill live animals was neat, although got very frustrating at times. I wish there was a way to clear the dead animals every now and then, I know that defeats the purpose kind of but if all the dead animals from previous rounds were cleared each round leaving only the ones from the round that just happened, then the difficulty would still be there as each wave increases in size and thus the amount of dead animals on the ground would grow each round, but not by as much. I'm not sure if any of that made sense, but it's just a thought. Well Done! :D
Really nice atmosphere in this game, I managed to find the secret key to generate more stars :D I did find a glitch though I think, in the part where you need to find the heart and put it on the holder thing, I used one of the music discs instead and that seemed to work. Other than that, it was really relaxing and well made! Good job!
I loved the graphics style, I got a bit confused on the shooter game as i was used to using the keyboard and took me a while to realise I should be using the mouse! Also, especially on the first two games, when you die the game suddenly returns you to the main menu rather than having any sort of ending screen or some big event happening (such as the computer in the first game exploding or something, would've been a cool way to end the game). Just a minor complaint, it doesn't take away from the experience too much. Good work! :D
This is a pretty cool idea! I encountered some bugs though, for example the RAM optimiser icons kept showing up on top of the other programs when I closed it, but the window had disappeared. Also it sometimes the game window wouldn't move when I tried to move it. Other than that, I had fun! Well Done :)
Great game, took me a while to get the hang of it at first but by the time I did it made for some really intense gameplay. Very well polished for an LD entry and the fact that you ported it to so many platforms is a surprise for sure, but a welcome one :)
For some reason the source code download link isn't showing up on my end, so here it is incase you wanted it: http://www.mediafire.com/file/95g295whiyt6wn1/LD42+SOURCE.zip
This is a really fun exploration game, I found it fun to wander around and see what kind of stuff I could find. Those platforms under the tree where the monkey is were really hard to navigate and sometimes I would try to jump and end up just falling off which was annoying. I tried many times to get the lighter back to the balloon but kept failing. Might have another go later to see if I can beat it! Also, the helicopter is very confusing and hard to figure out when under a time limit.
Quite a fun and smart take on the theme, only problem was that I got stuck too early. It really does force you to think about the next move and when you should swap memory banks though, which is a good design. :)
"Woah that's my name :o" - me reading the start screen
a neat little game, I think it would benefit from some extra features such as combos for killing multiple enemies at once, weapon upgrades, different enemy types etc. to keep it less repetitive. Overall a fun game though!
Neat, simple game, got very stressful towards the end. I'm pretty sure it reaches impossible levels ;)
It's a shame there's only 2 levels, I was having fun :( Well done though, it's cool that you combined both meanings of 'space' into one game, although I feel the concept could've been implemented better (for example, maybe the moon should move faster to put move pressure on the player). Other than that, it was very fun, graphics and sounds were great. Unfortunately thought it was too short!
Neat little idea, graphics were pretty cool. I didn't find much variation in the puzzles, and the colour change one was really frustrating as the next colour for each square seemed to be chosen at random so sometimes you just didn't have enough time to make them all the same colour. Overall a neat little game, but I would recommend adding more puzzles and make them more puzzle-like if that makes sense, also I feel like the files being installed increased way too quickly for me to keep up. Other than that, well done :D
It would be cool to update this game further, it's a shame it was so short and the phone had limited functionality. I still enjoyed it though and the graphics and sounds were great! Good work :D
