What a pleasant game (at least first level, when i got to the second level... damn i didn't expect such transition :D )

I like art style and Daft Punk remixes are great and fit to the game. Destructible environment is a nice touch.

Buggy thing: When i jump and hit ceiling i stick to this instead of falling down. And when i try jumping over some block that i'm touching i just jump vertically.

Lolwut? This is odd.

thenoviceengineer 2015-04-20 19:09

As mentioned, there appears to be some bugs with the tile collision, but other than that I enjoyed this game a lot. I found the transition to the second level very entertaining :P

plams 2015-04-20 19:12

Wow this game is glitchy :) Great music!

saymon 2015-04-20 19:14

Nice game ! love the music !

stuffedgravy 2015-04-20 19:18

The frame rate was a little slow for me, might just be my computer. I couldn't make it past the first level!

clavus 2015-04-20 19:24

Not exactly sure what's happening, and game crashes for me on the second area. The firebomb behaviour was a bit strange. Good work, but could have used some instructions? :P

scorched 2015-04-20 19:24

Sticky head may be rebranded as a feature:-)

artylo 2015-04-20 19:33

I don't even...10/10 IGN

slowfrog 2015-04-20 20:12

Nice looking and nice sounding. The controls are a bit buggy though (got stuck in mid-air and blocked in the middle of moves).

trappytrap92 2015-04-21 17:13

A little buggy, but i love the music!

bastienre4 2015-04-21 17:23

Spamming bombs is actually quite fun ! However, there are a lot of collisions issues that make the game hard to play.

boateye 2015-04-21 17:27

The game doesn't seem to fit the Jam's theme very well. It came off to me just as a platformer.

And as a platformer, the controls were tough to use. IT seems that when you hit a wall it turns off your movement. so that mean that if i'm holding left into a wall, then press jump, my character wont move to the left when it's above the wall. That's not how platformers work. Also, it's hard to turn around for a similar reason. when the game worked, it felt good to jump over platforms and such, though. the first part before the pits in the "hell" level felt really nice to jump through.

OVerall, the game seemed ok. I don't understand what the unconventional weapon is, but maybe i'm just thick-headed.

pixel-heart 2015-04-21 17:28

I can't play it, sadly... Do you plan to create a web player, os a osx / linux build too? I think many people would like to try your game, but it's hard for hem to do it :)

mak 2015-04-21 17:31

This game is... how could I describe it? I guess I could say is unconventional! I don't really know what you wanted to achieve by making it, but it gave me a really different experience. I got surprised many, many times by it!

Jumping needs improvement though.

frederickk 2015-04-21 17:33

Everything is exploding but the Sun is shinning brigth! :)
I don't know if I really get it how to play but I really liked the concept!

aiaf 2015-04-21 17:39

fun , music is great

daltostronic 2015-04-21 17:44

This was strange... :D

luminar 2015-04-21 17:47

Loved the demolishing power! And that mini game (transition) was damn hard :)

maunovaha 2015-04-21 18:40

fun little game. props for making it with java. :D I like java :B

jadernak 2015-04-21 18:42

I found the sounds annoying after a while :(

timtipgames 2015-04-21 18:46

I don't know how the music fits with the compo category. But well - this was different and weirdly enjoyable.

local-minimum 2015-04-21 18:47

I had a really hard time moving about on the first level since the left movement was only possible after jump was initiated for jump left. Not very much seemed to happen either, the thing swarming around me didn't seem to have an effect. But maybe I didn't really understand the game, I'm sorry. So I gave up rather early, on the second level I suppose it was.

archonthewizard 2015-04-21 18:49

Thumbs up for Daft Punk! It was a very pleasant experience. I love the feel of the game. I was a little lost on what I was supposed to be doing, but I didn't mind so much

thomastc 2015-04-23 16:01

Multiple great musics! Could have done with better sound effects though. The controls are a bit buggy at times, you randomly stop walking or don't jump; and the framerate was low and steadily dropping. But the styles of the different levels are very entertaining :)

This also runs fine on Linux, you might want to update your download link.

themeorch 2015-04-23 21:03

The bright graphics were very refreshing. Although the Daft Punk remix is very well done, you may run into issues having adapted an existing song for a Compo entry, but I'm not sure.

The framerate was chuggy for me, not sure whether that's just my computer. Polishing the jump physics, movement, and collision would help players really enjoy the havoc they can unleash in this game.

wolfgang_ 2015-05-02 01:33

I really dig the music. I had no idea what I was doing, but I mean that in the best way.

yselftool 2015-05-02 13:07

The controls are a little bit slow.

davecarlile 2015-05-11 15:22

The guy moved very slowly for me, not sure if that was intentional. Like the destructible environment. The sun made me smile.
