Creative game with aesthetically pleasing graphics. Enjoyed it very much.
I also can't play it, but I will definetely come back here later because description got me interested.
I'm certainly not in a position to know how you feel and I won't try to tell you something "uplifting". I just want to let you know, that there are people who care. Thank You for this game and You should definetely make one on next Ludum Dare.
I dig whole concept, idea and execution. Love graphics, music and screen I got to see for completing the game.
Since in my game theme also kicks in in the end I decided to give it a try. I really like the atmosphere, it combines the feeling of roguelike games with that of titles like Dark Souls. I love how creatures start to behave later in the game. Sadly I couldn't pick any of the option at the end, I tried mouse and keyboard - didn't work. I don't know if that's the problem on my end or not, but I'll try it on different pc later because whole game is appealing.
I love the idea, it was also well executed. I'm going to try use all the tokens though!
Nice and realaxing game, music is chilling. Only issue I have is that font is a little bit too dark and hard to see.
Looks and plays awesome, I like the idea of controlling the monsters. Would be even more cool if there would be squishy sounds during squishing people ;]
Great arcade-y game, love cute graphics.
Nice idea and execution. I especially like sprites of husband and children, first is depressing and kids look grotesque and... cute?
I got code error at the end, but other than that I really enjoyed it. Made me feel like a frustrating video game enemy, who makes player's life a living hell. :]
I was curious how serious approaches to the theme are going to look and I was not dissapointed by Passengers. Propably one of the best games I've got the chance to play during this jam. Excellent work and You got me interested in Pico-8.
Love it, it wasn't frustrating as others say and I'd love to see more levels. I see potential in bouncing twice of the same monster - in the level with this trampoline first monster sometimes bounced the kid the second time while it was in "running away" phase. If it could be manipulated in more complicated levels, it could lead to some awesome both fast and puzzle levels.
How fun. ;] Climbing buildings and them jumping down on these policemen was awesome. Turning them into cocoons was comically disturbing and I've figured out also how to propel them up in the air. Oh, intro cutscene was nice too.
I tend to divide games on gameplay heavy and narrative heavy, out of the first group, this is the best game I have tried this Ludum Dare. You interested me on twitter with relating to Hotline Miami, my favourite game and with this game You really did achieve to give this awesome feeling of fast-paced arcade gameplay and repeating the rooms till you play them just right. I'd love to see expanded version, perhaps with Lady Bug escaping the lab and fighting her way through other locations.
Bizarre and surreal. I love it!
Interesing and amusing game, I love the... elevator music . ;D
Nice platformer, what I like the best is this eerie and uncanny mood in first level thanks to sprites and music, and also this liitle thing in third level when we can press the button on the floor and knight falls to his death. Fun little feature that made me chuckle. ;] Good job.
Aesthetically pleasing experimental art game. I don't understand yet what exactly is happenening in front my eyes, but I don't want to stop looking.
I dig arcade-style games with electronic music, so this was a bliss. This mechanic with jumping to center is what makes the game unique, really, really good. Would be great if you would expand it, more music etc.. Congrats.
Great entry, really like the attacking mechanics. It both looks nice and is executed well.
Enjoyable and cute title. Really like how these people running away look.
Neat idea and flawless execution except one little flaw, I figured it out first playthrough and didn't stomp on first "monsters", but game still thought I did. But otherwise it's really, really good and fun!
Fun game, I dig the first attack animation. Exploding chicken add to experience of course!
Cute and engaging, I like the field of view mechanic, reminds me of Teleglitch.
Beautiful and atmospheric. I dig the idea for the theme and this 4th wall breaking, gamemechanics twist.
Mantlair, it's intended way after double jump and here's a little hint. Key is to just jump down there afer the fastest one goes away, shoot and run away. They stay dead even if You die and also their health doesn't replenish after your death, so it's just a matter of number of tries.
Thank You all for feedback. Outside of the jam, I will propably add easier difficulty setting without ''frame perfect'' jumps.
Ethteck, since it's small enough, whole game's map is stored in one gamemaker's room.
Great concept, I had ton of fun with. There is potential to expand the game outside of the jam, would love to see that.
Ton of fun, it was really cool to destroy buildings and cars.
Opened door for a woman and then hit her with ectoplasm so hard, that blood poured out of her. 10/10
Great game, never thought I would have to hold the urge to push someone under the car. :]
Interesting take on the theme and I like the visuals.
Neat game, both hard and satisfying, I like it! Also, I feel like no one noticed this cute and awesome little animation of monster's cape. ;)
OH YEAH! ;] Fun game with enjoyable moving mechanics. In Your blog post You showed these sprites that didn't make it to the game, they're awesome.
Atmosphere of riding that bike in the corn field is what I liked the most. Nice.
Fun fast-paced game, looks cool too.
I haven't excepted voice acting, nice game and fun concept.
What I crave in games, especially in jam games, is creating bizarre atmosphere combined with stimulating audiovisuals. And You did it. It has this primal, from-inside-of-soul feeling. It also reminds me of the song ''Caledonia'' by Cromagnon, You can find it on youtube.
Great idea for the theme. You implemented this innovative mechanics into known formula and the result is that it's hella fun game. Congrats!
This game is rough in a good way. These arms sprites, catchy music, making the arms green and red, canmerica - all of this made the game interesting.
Proper strategy game, really fun. I like the graphics and sounds. In my last game I managed to get much higher income than CPU (2,3 millions opposed to CPU's 1,8), but it was to late and CPU still won, since I had put too much money into investing, high income didn't help me in the long run. So I was really impressed that You created such a deep system in 48 hours, the system that forces the player to think about the size of growth and not only just build on a whim.
It looks awesome and overall the atmosphere is great. Once I learned the controls it was a blast.
It was great idea to design the game around, I mean putting controls on alt and f4 of course. It such a small thing, but makes the game stand out, makes it unique. Nice.
It wasn't RAPTORRIBLE, but it was RAPTORSOME. Nice concept and game overall.
Beautiful and peaceful game, very relaxing too.
It was intense, hard but I like hard video games. Making that big jump with yellow's power-up was nice idea to implement and making it the second time, while going back to home was nerve-wracking. :) When I made it to the end it gave this satisfaction after trying and I'm overall happy with Your charming game.
Could I ask You to give me some kind of contact information to You? Like an email? I'd like to send You a pm regarding Your comment to my game. If you don't feel comfortable with typing out Your email adress publicly here, but are ok with messaging me, send me an email at uthamon@rocketmail.com
I meant uthamon@hotmail.com Sorry for that typo.
Great atmosphere, these lightings are terrifying. :) Controlling is fun - slashing 'n' dashing. Great job.
Cool sprites and fun game overall.
I like both audiovisuals and gameplay. Neat idea for theme. Oh, and I just dem flashing sprites. ;]
Usually I'm not fond of using pompous terms, but this game feels... complete? It has easy to learn, hard to master gameplay with enjoyable controls. It has beautiful graphics, atmosphere. It has fitting audio with these cute "bomp" sounds. As if that wasn't enough the story is interesting. Good entry!
Brutal and frantic with great atmosphere. Lots of fun. In Your post mortem You were dissapointed with graphics. I don't see why, congrats. :]
Great game, I like the style of storytelling, You magaged to make me care for these little blue guys. 519 days.
Awesome controls and visuals. Escaping that orange spaceship was super fun.
Nice controls. Path after attack is a little bit downwards and I like this decision, keeping it straight would make it too easy, and as it is makes the game fun. I don't know why someone complains about graphics, the game looks cool, especially these giants.
Adorable game, this whole thing with narrator speaking, eating these crunchies and breaking the 4th wall by telling to hit escape button. This game has potential to be expanded, with more levels and story about the relationship with narrator. Congrats, I've really enjoyed it.
Hey @BeamKirby
I'm sorry that Avast shows You these. I downloaded the game on 2 other PCs of my buddies, and antivirus programs installed there didn't show any problems. Heck, I'm writing this comment from PC in my Uni's library (ESET is here), download the game here, and there were no problems indicated too. Avast has "reputation" for freaking out, but I'm still going to look into this with next thing I upload. Propably I'll just install Avast on my old laptop and there I'll be additionaly checking files before uploading them.
Cute little piece of art. The more forest grows the more beautiful it becomes.
Except that reseting doesn't work for me, I like it. Fun concept, looking at this guy panicking makes me happy.
Fun arcade game, at first it seemed impossible, but after I got handle over controls it became really enjoyable. And sprites are great.
Physics. I need to learn coding physics. Nice entry, I like the creative idea and it being challenging. Fish is a nice touch.
Fun, cool-looking game, humor was spot-on. Congrats.
Interesting, after reading instructions controls and mechanics seemed to be vague, but while playing the game it turned out to be quite intuitive. Congrats.
Not challenging but by no means it's a drawback. I love these cartoony visuals with these bizzare blocks. I see potential in expanding it, adding increasing difficulty, and so on. Nice entry. Do You have any site with Your other games? I'd like to see them.
I can barely survive second pattern, but after I don't have enough lives to complete the rest. Fun bullet hell game overall, you designed these patterns well. Graphics are clear and that's what important in that kind of game.
Narrative game are so rare in LD, I'm glad I've played yours because of the atmosphere you created. Good job.
I love it. Firstly the title, secondly the art style and music, and if these things weren't enough - driving mechanics / controls, it feels good controlling the bus. Also little details like steering wheel, bomb, mothers with children. Damn, I like everything about this game.
Whole game with boss battles? Awesome. I had ton of fun with Your game. Each of the bosses has some unique attacks and envoirment hazards. I must tell it's difficult as hell in the beginning. I found out that the easiest boss to start with is that fire leather jacket guy. I was standing on the left side of upper-right platform, and from there it was possible to dodge all the fireballs and fires. When voting will end, I would love it if you would add sounds and maybe music even. It's a great game.
