Cute game and fun if not a bit finicky due to the movement. Also took me a while to understand the mid-air jump thing. Overall nice, but incredibly difficult.

Cute game and fun if not a bit finicky due to the movement. Also took me a while to understand the mid-air jump thing. Overall nice, but incredibly difficult.
great aesthetics. Minigame 1 felt a bit more fleshed out than Minigame 2.
The graphics are neat and the platforming felt good. Not really sure what I'm supposed to do? the game starts by tracking all the zombies while panning slowly backwards through the level, putting me in control when it's seemingly already too late?
This is really, really well done for a jam. Looks, sounds and plays great. As others have also mentioned, having a way to drop items would be very helpful. I would also suggest reducing the driving time a bit. Otherwise, great entry that you could definitely make into a full game.
Nice concept. The design of the little USB stick protagonist is very cute! I did find it a bit unintuitive, that you take damage when the top of your body is in the corruption. I expected it to only hurt when you stand in it.
What a great entry! Love the spin on the devil dagger formula - switching between shooting and building felt natural and snappy! The graphics are great and really hits the mood along with the music!
Pretty nifty game with some overall fun gameloop, I like the kineticism of the bomb module - might be worth disclosing that the intro screens are AI-generated artwork though?
Very nice entry. The artwork is very polished and the parallax and falling leaves do a lot to make the environments feel alive. Impressive amount of levels as well. The controls felt a bit finicky which made some of the levels much harder than they should be. I don't think this game screams "limited space" but great job nonetheless.
Nice little game. Unlike some of the other commenters, I think having the holes stay fits the theme better. Having some of the meteors spawn at the player's position (or even trying to predict where the player is going) would help a lot to increase the difficulty. Right now, standing still in a corner seems like the best strategy.
Great entry. Gameplay is simple but very engaging. I like the visuals but the very low resolution combined with the extreme screenshake made it disorienting at times. Reducing the screenshake a maybe increasing the resolution a bit would help a lot. Good job nonetheless!
Bravo!
This is absolutely fantastic. Definitely the most entertaining game I've played this LD so far.
The different spells and the recharge mechanic work so well and the bullet hell-ish feel is so much fun.
Pretty good. Felt very streamlines and fast-pased.
Wasn't a big fan of the music but audio was fine otherwise.
Would be nice if monsters were visible so you could plan ahead/avoid encounters if possible, but a lot of fun none the less.
Really great job. The wave mechanic is a lot of fun and getting mad air time feels great. The announcer was a bit jarring though.
Overall really cool. And thanks for providing a Linux binary. It worked flawlessly (Arch Linux x86)
This was surprisingly addictive. The vector style graphics albeit simple work very well, especially the water.
The nice variety of enemies made it feel feel fresh for a long time. Really liked this.
This is a very nice proof of concept that could easily turn into a pretty cool game with a couple of more mechanics and some nice level design.
Well done.
Great game.
Feels very polished for a jam game. I really like the easing/tweening effects.
It's pretty satisfying watching the miners once you get few of them, and it's a nice addition that you're able to command them (although you should probably write that somewhere).
Great job!
Found it pretty entertaining although way too easy.
If a game is a bit short, there's no shame in making it more difficult. ;)
The in-game music was great. Very Sunsoft NES-esque.
@eemmbbeerr and @kibertoad: I think GitHub might've had some temporary problems. Seems to be working again now. Thanks for the heads up though.
one of the best jam games this LD, the melee/dash feels just perfect! This is really a game that's all about the "feel", atleast in my perspective. Only thing i found a bit off is that the mech doesn't really seem that much better than the pilot. Either way, made multiple 10 round tries, still haven't completed it though :(

didn't quite get it at first, as there are a lot of mechanics to this game. but it kinda unravels naturally once you start playing. This game has a lot of mechanics considering the 72hrs, super fun once you start getting the different mechanics. In the end i guess i never really figured it out as i got overthrown and decapitated :(. great job! - Lukaserritsoe
a super fun concept, sadly hindered a bit by the time circumstances on it's conception as others have also pointed out. i would love to see a "fuller" release, with some art to accompany events and fights. having this on your phone with a save feature could result in something really addictive - LukasErritsoe
super fleshed out, i know how hard it is to make a metroidvania in such a short short time, having bosses and all makes this even more impressive! Also the graphics are very well defined considering the size of the sprites and tiles.
Only fault i can find is that the controls, to me, feel sort of floaty.
Super innovative! i totally dig the "immiedateness" of the design without it getting stale. only complaint/whine is that the game gets super hard once you have to maneuver the sides of the level. in any case a super simple, innovative and really juicy game! best use of the theme i've seen so far - LukasErritsoe
Cool idea.
I feel like the difficulty escalated quite suddenly. Each enemy was very easy but once you make one mistake its very easy to die. Would be fun to try with a larger amount of slower enemies instead. Would also make the game more visually dense.
Good job nonetheless!
Great entry.
I feel like the game would gain a lot from having expanding and shrinking as two separate abilities instead so you couldn't figure out what to do just from looking at the color of the blocks. Might encourage more experimentation from the player.
Solid for work a one-man entry. Especially the robot's animation.
@RockhopperGames: Thank for the feedback. Having large combos recharge your stamina is actually a really good idea. We'll definitely play with it for the post-jam version.
@SiENcE: To best honest, N.O.D.E. doesn't stand for anything. We just had to come up with a name real quick. ^_^
@S0lll0s: The dash actually has a few frames where you don't take any damage.
@nassi: It's not a leaderboard, but that definitely blows anything i've been able to manage out of the water! - Lukas Erritsoe
Really, really solid entry.
Loved the art style and music. Came together in a very charming way.
Really cool concept/idea!
So far the most fun i've had this LD. At first i thought the mechanic would be a bit unwieldy, but only having to worry about a limited amount of directions helped a lot. Also the music is among the best! - Lukas Erritsoe
Really neat little game.
Having to collect more toast to jump higher is a great idea.
The crazy amount of screen shake did mess a bit with my head though. ;)
@sennin: Thank you for your feedback.
Yeah. We had assets and ideas for many more minigames but sadly didn't have time enough to implement them.
The games were supposed to be separated into categories and the games you'd see would depend on the attack types selected. Might still happen if we make a post-jam version.
Very happy you we're able to shared the experience with your daughter though!
@CaptainRed_ Hitting space on the game over screen should restart the game.
*** UPDATE ***
There was an issue with the packaging of the OS/X version.
It should be fixed now.
