Only One Bullet Left by Ovno 2013-12-19T15:38:00
Not bad. Took me about 5 attempts to beat it.

Why does it say "bitcoin"?
I haven't seen as much of the "only one chance" style of game that I thought I'd see. Some more variability in the shots could make this a really cool game, to keep it from being just memorize numbers.
Nice work! I love the mechanic of moving the gift around and protecting it, though obviously you can just carry it forever. With a little tweaking and fleshing out, this could be really good.
Voice actor of the year. Interesting 3-dimensional gameplay. I like how the weapon works where usually you only want to charge it to the first level.
Really cute game. I seem to remember the first stage music from something, though.
Unable to install or run the application. The application requires that assembly Microsoft.Xna.Framework.GamerServices Version 4.0.0.0 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) first.
Sorry T_T
Love how it looks. I guess adding a timer is about as mechanically rich as you can really make a cookie clicker game.
The bats look really cool. Difficult to move the blocks around at times, but there's a lot here for 48 hours.
This is better than that new Typing of the Dead game
Very nice-looking
I love orbs and I hate goblins so this is about right. I like that you can't catch it until it hits something.
A little rough around the edges, but I like the concept. I thought it crashed at the end of the second level, but I suppose that was just it closing?
Pretty well-polished, if somewhat easy.
love 2 bean the zombs with my rock
I like the way it looks. I also like yogurt.
The robots are scary!
Really lovely lighting, looking forward to whatever this'll be once you optimize it!
I really liked the abstract nature of the environment. The message on the floor at the end was pretty nice too :P
Really slick visual style. Seen a few runners where the jump key changes, but I like candy so this is my favourite.
Game looks really nice and is well-polished. Though, assuming it's meant to be something like "You Only Get One Skill", isn't it more like "You Only Get Four"?
Alright, fixed.
Added a OSX build. Don't know if it'll work, though.
Well hard. It didn't take long to get used to the controls, and its an interesting way to control the ship. I'm not sure about the one-shot thing though, it would be nice to have some method of controlling it after the fact.
Music is scary!
Cool smoking baby
Is that the power rangers music?
Very enjoyable. The fireballs look fantastic.
It's a tough world out there
Music is fully sick, nurses are cool. I guess you were going for a hotline miami sort of thing?
I feel like I've played something like this before, but I really like it. White on black Courier never gets old for creepiness!
Not particularly interesting in its own right, but fascinating to read that this was somehow generated from thematic inputs.
I really like this! Control is a little too slippery, though.
If I had cataracts like these I'd want to stab people too. Good work
Looked pretty nice. Hard to find all the boxes.
Can't download from Gamejolt without logging in. What a hassle!
Love windjammers, love this shit! I'm bad at it but it's slick as all hell and I love the tunes. Y'all knocked it out the damn park
Web link takes me to a Dropbox directory instead of the index.html
You only get one button to control the ship. Rotate the head and play it like lunar lander or some shit
Really slick-looking. Love the mechanic of "cashing in" after building up a big score.
Pretty dece
My favourite game so far. Love the fast fluidity and the timer, game looks lovely and is a joy to play. You did super good!
+1 for moving with platforms.
That's a mighty pretty blanket. Really good work with the effects, fun game too!
Really depressing game (in a good way), interesting mechanics. One of my favourites this LD
This was really cool. I didn't really mind playing on a keyboard - I love making the worm stand up like a charmed snake. Good work with Worm Game
Lovely little piece of visual flair with the coloured trails, and all the little particles add some texture - something I wish I had thought of with my sort of similar game.
I love the fact that you're able to send enemy projectiles back at them, though the blue flash on hit can get very distracting at times. Likely better than having no feedback at all, though.
Really enjoyed this, though! Boss could have used a few "tells", but otherwise superb work.
I think the way you implemented the difficulty settings is quite interesting. Instead of just say changing the probability of defeat or something, the % of good / bad events, when you consider that defeated monsters give you gold... could be interesting.
That said, I'm a huge baby and ran from every monster I saw, taking baths whenever possible. Neat game, though I wish you had a little bit more control over your destiny - I don't know if you're actually being stalked by a big beast or something, but I did sort of feel a bit like I was hunting a Wumpus.
Also, pretty neat to do something like this in a 2D framework. I can think of a really inelegant way to do it, though it'd be cool if there's a little more going on behind the scenes.
Very interesting notion once you get past the initial awkwardness. I would likely increase the range you can rotate by, not fully but so that you can progress slightly even while facing the wrong way (perhaps 100 degrees in either direction?)
Very solid entry, usually I find Java games have all sorts of difficulties but this worked just fine!
The water effect is really nice. Almost sort of like ridiculous fishing
This is really cool. It's like Ecco the Dolphin : REVENGEANCE. Lovely style.
I like this, reminds me of space shooters where you have to assign power. Little bit slow and I kept expecting a jellyfish to eat me
Also for some reason running the love file directly didn't work out for me. Windows build worked fine though
I'd really have liked to play more of this, but it's just too buggy for me to really get my teeth into. You're probably doing something right though if your LD entry is complex enough to be buggy. :)
Quite slick and polished - nice style, though the animations made it a little frustrating to play at times.
Reminds me of Sierra adventure titles with all the sudden and at times incomprehensible deaths. But exploring all those deaths is basically the fun of the game
Dunno what the deal with the misogynist pepsi guy is but he reminds me of a friend...
This is quite impressive. I love how "crunchy" it all is with the explosion effects etc. Been taking some lessons from Vlambeer, perhaps!
Shame you didn't have more time to round it out a bit more... I like using the drill to dash in the air.
This is the sort of thing I really like. The music changing as you play is really nice...
Really cool game, one of my favourites so far! I love that you can use the sharks to defend yourself against the other sharks, and the GOOOOOAAAAALLLL when you hit the button.
Fun platformer, though the one thing I could pick a hole in would be the extreme inertia in the air coupled with no inertia on the ground, going down the shaft on the second map was rather annoying...
Nice interplay of simple lighting on pixel art. I always wonder about this style but it seems to work a treat here.
Little frustrating to play though. I got quite a Heart of Darkness vibe from it.
This is pretty funny. Scream sound effect took me by surprise!
It's a shame about the input bug, but at least you know about it and flagged it up.
Fun little game. You seem to have given some thought to the general progression, a consideration not usually given to LD entries. You start out with a lot of fuel lying around so you can really get into things quickly, then eventually lava starts to appear in small amounts, eventually ramping up.
Good job
A very visually impressive game, but the OHK-ness, strange controls and skeletons behind obstacles make me think more of masocore titles, treating difficulty as the be-all-end-all, than the sort of "hard-but-fair" notion you were certainly going for - using difficulty as a means to an end in creating an interesting game.
I really love the colour palette and any game where death means your guy turns into a tiny tombstone is at least a 4/5
I couldn't get past the third case. Nice concept though.
Nice twist on multiplayer Snake. I like being able to bite the guy's worm in twain! And huge props for making the game playable single-player.
It's sort of cool that you can't really see what's around you too well since it's zoomed in, but it also makes the game really hard to play. Maybe in the future try to black out everything apart from what's in a small circle around the player and zoom it out a bit.
Pretty cool from a tech perspective. I like maps just made out of polygons etc
The player sprite is a total badass btw
I really like how ridiculous this game can get the more you build. I couldn't figure out how to make the mess hall work though...
Interesting take on the theme. Wish I could accuse all of them.
I got an A!
DOUG DIED DIGGING
Reminds me of something on the Spectrum or likewise. I like the basic consideration of where to break the surface and set the farmer against you - it's a heist game.
Solid entry. It probably took years for Super Meat Boy to get movement physics down pat, this is about halfway there in 3 days - but then, you know what they say about 90% / 10%.
I like the way you've done level editing as just simple PNG files and text files - not exactly documented, but it always brings a smile to my face to see people use very open formats like that.
I found the music a wee bit annoying.
I can't figure out how to launch the game, when I double-click the file it just asks what I should open it in (Windows)
Missing DLL file. MSVCR120.dll ... sorry.
Was anything supposed to happen after the red area?
Bad luck with your entry. Never seem to see many text adventure-y games for Ludum Dare...
Missing DLL, couldn't play. MSVCR100D.dll... might be a Visual Studio Redistributable thing. Sorry.
Very well polished for a Ludum Dare game. You even had the time to put in an options menu with screen scaling and nice things like that! I suppose that's the advantage of a team.
Couldn't quite figure out how to drop the ball at the start, my guy just ended up chucking it about the place instead... once I got past that, really enjoyable little platformer.
I really like the graphical style of this game... ever play Halfquake? Reminds me of wolf3d in terms of gameplay...
Really slick presentation, simple but very effective.
Though it is a little repetitive, perhaps it should get faster as the player progresses. Though the rotation effect does break up the monotony a little bit!
I think an air gauge would make this all the more tense. Good work either way
Nice animations and I like the effect where the higher you go the more green the background is.
Couldn't get past a particular jump though :S
You're always really good at doing very moody games with fairly simple means. I think it's a very pretty game and the audio helps a lot...
In terms of the controls, yeah things are kinda clunky. I figured it out eventually... I'm not too sure about how the player internally works, but there seems to be some sort of delay after jumping or switching rotation where they're "between states" that makes things feel a bit inconsistent. Not sure. Also, being able to go directly from a wall to the underside of an object without having to fall+rejump would make it all feel a lot more fluid.
Issues with controls aside, you did a good job.
I like that the bullets have some drop, changes the dynamics of the shooting...
Reminds me of the hacking minigame in Deus Ex Human Revolution...
I really liked this. The notion of adding a limited-time mechanic to a Metroid game is really cool to me, letting you progress into areas that perhaps you shouldn't yet if you're really good.
The graphics and style were pretty ace, punching clowns in the face is much better than generic sci-fi doors. Music got a little repetitive but hey it's there and it's music
It took me a while to figure out that the different villagers were different warp points into the same map - not a bad thing, just a slight observation. And, well, that goes pretty nice for "connected worlds", huh?
The only flaw I could really find with the game honestly is that walljumping is really fiddly and tricky. These things are hard to do, but that aside it's a really solid, complete game.
You did a good job!
There's certainly a lot of meta-stuff here around the act of holding right and mashing space...
Quite slick, either way.
Cute idea, and the implementation is even cuter. I love the jumping sound!
Excellent game, and really well-done for a compo entry!
I get a crazy taxi vibe from it... probably the one thing I'd like to see is some tweak to dropping cargo off, I'd love to be able to toss it out at planets and boost off for my next cargo. Maybe I just need to practice more.
I wanna play Warpath95 now
Flagged by Chrome as a malicious download. No idea what can be done about it...
Pretty cute game
Simple, but quite slick!
It was a little confusing to navigate, perhaps zooming out the camera a little bit would have been good.
I was expecting more of these types of games but this was pretty well-presented! I like the planets joining together.
Every game is a MMO these days, or grindy enough. It's sad, kinda...
Good concept, let's see something done with it!
