Very nice! Controls are a bit slippery, but overall I really like it. :)

Love the retro ambiance, and the idea is pretty cool. Controls were a bit touchy, but with some tweaking this might be really fun. :)
Great work!
Frickin' EXCELLENT. Commercial quality -- sell this mutha'. ;D
This is by far my favorite entry so far. I'll go away for a bit and I keep coming back and playing it. :)
Clicking "Start Game" on the web version, but nothing happens.
"Instructions" and "Visit our website" buttons work, however.
"This folder is empty.", here too.
Thanks, guys! :D But yes, lots of bugs. Much glitching. I plan to fix up most of that and polish it up in the coming days.
I went back and revised the hell out of the game over the last couple weeks; fixed lots of bugs and polished things up. Learned a lot. :) -> http://fortyseven.itch.io/whack-a-burster
Came back to link to the final version on GameJolt: http://gamejolt.com/games/arcade/whack-a-burster/30298/
It's still barely a game, but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. :)
And I'm just realizing that it's probably the same build. I should have looked first. [Talks to an empty room.]
Sweet idea! The fish need to scatter more when the camera is snapped. It's possible to pool large amounts of fish on screen to repeated high-scoring snaps: http://i.imgur.com/KMjJjU8.jpg ;D
That thing creeped me out massively! ;)
Looks terrific. :)
Very interesting concept. :)
Great atmosphere!
Well, I wasn't planning on sleeping ever again anyway. ;)
My fan went nuts, too. Damn. :)
This would have been a seismic shift in gaming...if only we could see it. Alas. ;)
Brilliant game! Love the idea.
Terrific idea, and looks great! If the controls for platforming were a bit more forgiving, this would easily be among the top ten here.
Very grateful for the kind words and feedback -- still going to keep working on it when I can. Wish I was able to polish the gameplay a bit more, but I spent too much time on graphics, and not enough on the logic. ;)
Guessing this is incomplete (the last two systems, as others mentioned). But I like the idea!
Adore the art style. Very Pilgrimy. ;) Love to see this turn into something more!
There's a kernel of a GREAT game idea here. Not allowing backspace makes for some hilarious improv. I went through quite a few headlines because of that, alone. If you can tweak the gameplay a bit, this could be amazing. Just need to slow down the deadline a bit (early on, at least) and create an algorithm to score based on what was written. Make it have to be at least a paragraph... not be jibberish... maybe enforce referencing the topic in some way.
I'm tempted to work on a version of this, now. :D Neat idea!
Sweet idea! :D
Love the polish. It's quite fun, too! Great work. :)
Love the idea! Looks great, too.
Might want to remove the embed: it doesn't work right with anything but a non-centered, blank page with just the Unity embed on it.
Heheheh, nice. Some clipping and camera issues, but love how it feels, otherwise. Great work!
Loved the "hard way" gag. Didn't expect to enjoy this one as much as I did. Great work! :D
Does not capture the mouse cursor, so I had to constantly click off the page, and then back into the window for mouselook to work at all.
pon: It's literally at max panning on both sides; I'll tweak it so it's about 50% closer to center and see how that feels.
rain: Good call; originally this was meant to be a twin-stick tank game like the original arcade game, but after finding that wasn't quite a fun, I remapped the controls...and forgot to add WASD. I'll fix that later tonight. *adds to his list*
@andrewk: It's still working as a two-stick tank under the hood; it feels REALLY NICE with the sticks on a 360 pad, so I'll probably put out a Windows version in a day or two to take advantage of that. (Shame the web player can't access the gamepad. Sigh.)
Any new versions, I'll link here and on the GameJolt page, if anyone is interested. Just click 'follow' on there for updates.
@Kim: I actually just made myself jump from hearing one spawn immediately to my left. As the dev and the guy that did the frickin' voice, it's such a weird experience. :)
@Asix: Aye, it's currently just a quick arcade thing -- but at some point I'll be adding a smidge more depth to the gameplay. The snowmen already have a variable bit of speed when they spawn, but it's not that big of a difference, in practice. Still have to tweak it around a bit.
Uploaded an update to GameJolt! (The itch.io link remains the original LD31 Jam version, as noted.)
Changes for 1.01:
- ADDED: Additional web controls: WASD for movement; LMB fires.
- ADDED: Sound when firing snowballs.
- ADDED: Sound when snowballs impact.
- FIXED: Snowmen no longer float above the ground.
- FIXED: Stereo panning for tank treads adjusted.
- OTHER: Misc minor optimizations (removal of unused debug code, etc.)
Thanks for voting, guys! I put up a post-Jam version over on GameJolt, complete with a leaderboard, slightly harder enemies, an overhead radar, and more!

Yes.. yes, that's all I have. :( (Great work! Love games that reward minor experimentation like this.)
Sweet. :)
Love the art. But it all runs a bit too fast over here. Not sure if that's just the browser running it faster than other peoples machines, or what, but it had sharp, quick, hard to control movement for me.
Oh god, this is hilarious. Bravo. :)
At first, I frowned, but then I realized what was going on and, hey, I gotta give it to you: it's a clever idea. :) The mouselook could use some work, though.
Easily one of my favorites out of the 40+ I've judged this evening. I'd love to see this expanded out into a full game. The polish already on display is superb. :)
Nice buns. ;D
Sweet! :D
Great fun! Loved the artwork, too. :)
