Very good game! I like this events and exploring what to do next =)
Great game! I have 127 deaths, 203 coins, and 101 kills. Nothing else seems to be happening at this point, so I think I'm calling it a day.
Really nice balance between 'what am I supposed to do next' and 'oooh there it is' moments.
One critique - it's probably too difficult to use the sword without dying yourself. I almost gave up without any kills because it didn't seem to do anything.
Overall I really enjoyed it, and played for quite a while!
Awesome game ! I got 12 diamonds :D
great work. at first I thought maybe all you finished was a logo... then only a single platform.... For those that are looking at it, keep at it. Anything after the baddies?
Really liked it! Very funny :) Nice graphics too.
Also cool that you can just hold the jump button instead of mashing.
What do you mean it's all I got for you...
You know how much bad guys I had to kill and how much concussions I got to get you these diamonds? :P
Nice concept =] fun little game to play around with. Really enjoyed the art style.
After you reading that its a representation of the frustrations of life, I subconsciously started spinning a woeful tale of this little dude's life: how after much frustration he found a menial and repetitive job that paid well but he didn't like, and how he eventually stumbled upon a diamond scheme that led to needing to murder his way out of trouble. I imagine it ends with him running the mob. I'm sure you meant things to be more metaphorical.
Well done. Cheers!
Thanks for the comments guys! I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but I'll just say that it looks like @Grindstorm got to the end ;) Good on ya!
Side challenge: after seeing the ending, give an expansion for the abbreviation H.T.P
Yes.. yes, that's all I have. :( (Great work! Love games that reward minor experimentation like this.)
I really like the unwrapping mechanic of revealing one thing at a time, the game also has some cleanliness atmosphere that I like, good work!
Great game .
Best theme adaptation till now!
I very, very liked the shadow effect on pixel-art.
At first I was like "What? Is that all?"
And then I was like "Whoa" :D
This game makes a perfect use of the theme in an innovative way. That sense of discoverability, or don't know what, got me playing until the end and blew my mind.
I really like these types of games. At first I thought it was the logo and said to myself, "why isn't the game loading?" I started pressing some buttons and then I was hooked. I really like the concept because of the humor of it. You don't know if anything you're doing is accomplishing anything, which causes some hilarious results. Very interesting concept and I wish that you would expand this game to have some sort of 'end' to it in the future!
That was entertaining!
great unfolding game, just keeps wanting more!
lol.
Nice concept, though I don't really like the repeating jobs I had to do :D
Interesting concept. I think you captured the repetition of life very well of how we need money to get things or "platforms of opportunity" to access those things. Graphical presentation was nice and the controls felt good. The title screen at the start set the tone for me for the rest of the game. There is no start button in life, just start! Well done!
This is great -- a different take on some classic tropes. A really interesting metaphor, a beautiful graphical style, tight controls, pleasing sound effects... great job!
This is realy awesome! One of the nicest games I have seen by now
Hum. It's a pretty joke. Five stars :)
Thank you for your comment about my game ++
Woah! Really awesome game.
I should have got her more diamonds...
I see what you've done here ;D gameplay as a metaphor works incredible well here. One of my favorite entries so far!
Great interpretation...just a tiny bit annoying because it's so repetitive to get further, but I guess that was intended ;) Almost gave up but after a while I was able to finish it. Good job :)
To answer the question, my friends were right about you!
This was an engrossing game. It was a bit repetitive in places, but I played to the end (I think) and I definitely enjoyed the experience. I wouldn't add anything or take anything away - just make it slightly less of a grind to unlock things.
I wonder if a game like this would work in episodes, in which you unlock an unfolding story.
Again, very enjoyable.
Fun to explore.
