LD27 — 10 Seconds

Catch them all! (In ten seconds) by Yaru 2013-08-26T03:31:00

I really like how you put the timer in the background and made it blurry. It doesn't get in the way of your focus on your character while at the same time giving me the feeling of impending doom!

10 second burn by Paul Sinnett 2013-08-26T04:01:00

It's a neat idea to use time as a hidden resource and constantly having the alarm mislead you. I did have some trouble landing though, was kinda tough for me to position myself without gaining too much speed even if I was fairly low to the ground. Love the vector style art, and the sound effects may be a tad bit loud.

Make a game Game by Pacaco 2013-08-26T04:15:00

This is really great and funny! What a silly concept done pretty well. Just having a background and music gave me a good laugh, and I didn't realize it until a couple more tries that there is a legitimate game if you can get all the pieces done before the timer. Well done!

Platformer Roulette by Phobos001 2013-08-30T01:54:00

Great use of the theme and fantastic concept! I love how instead of having the gun point at the in game character you point it at the player themselves, so meta haha! Great graphical style and the scan line with the music really add to the arcade feel. Great job!

Hungry Squishy Panic by domrein 2013-09-01T23:37:00

Cool game. I like the artwork and the take on the theme is well done. I wish there was an indicator to see the angle and the power of your fling. Also, there's some collision issues on level 6, I managed to fling my character into the top left corner and he went out of the map. Great job!

10 Sec And Slash by NostraDamon 2013-08-30T09:25:00

Love the graphics and music. The controls were solid and the multiple people with different lifespans of 10 seconds was a fantastic use of the theme! Super challenging game! The beeping of the mines seems a bit too loud and does get annoying since there are so many of them beeping at different times. Fantastic job though!

SliP by Sakuyan 2013-09-16T05:12:00

Great art style and animation! Really love the mechanic of using the enemies as tools for the puzzles, reminded me a lot of the Kirby games. The music fit as well and having the theme be based on timers for possessing is a cool touch. Fantastic stuff!

Antibodies by Bouyer 2013-09-16T22:06:00

That intro was hilarious and the sound effects are really funny! Good controls and the enemies come at you fast enough to keep you on your toes. A bit simple in terms of the level layout and obstacle placement but it was still fun. Pew pew pew, good job!

Platefoormers by Gyncoca 2013-09-01T01:51:00

Simple and basic platforming game, neat! Needs a jump sound effect though!

Pube by magicdweedoo 2013-08-30T09:54:00

Not sure what to say other than that was weird. Yea... good job? haha :P

Cloud Control by Bzaraticus 2013-09-16T21:57:00

Really great art style! I wish there was more challenge, like putting obstacles in the way and having some power ups or items that would slow you down etc. The terrain generating at the horizon is a cool touch. Great job!

Billy! Cleanup on aisle 5! by endermath 2013-09-01T01:57:00

Funny idea! I really like how your arm stretches and the items in the jars are pretty silly. Very catchy background music, although the sound effects did seem a bit too loud. Simple and effective, good job!

Clocked In by rylgh 2013-09-16T05:29:00

Really fun and challenging game! Catchy song and fun obstacles to run through. Some of those levels got really tricky but I felt as though it was really well balanced. The feel of the controls was really good and accurately navigating the ball minefields was pretty fun! Nice use of the theme both in the literal sense and the atmospheric sense. Great job!

Friday Simulator by panuo 2013-09-01T02:14:00

Simple concept with hilarious execution! Very funny game with silly words to type. Good job!

The Monkey Escape by squale 2013-08-28T11:45:00

Neat puzzle game! Maybe you could make a challenge mode where it limits the number of commands you can use. Since you can place as many as you like it starts to get really easy. I really like the story behind the monkey and the use of the theme!

Time Taxi by HippyJonYo 2013-09-01T02:21:00

Amazing use of the theme! Really challenging and fun music! I really liked the idea of having to count backwards based on how early or late you were dropping people off, and then readjust your timer when you reached the starting point again. Some of the text could have been a bit more readable and perhaps put some padding around the story/instructions bit so that the text isn't stuck against the side of the window. Great job!

Jack is gonna Die! by psychomonster 2013-08-27T00:23:00

Love the pings as a timer that you have to keep track yourself. Perhaps your character could be a bit shorter, I felt like it clashes with the size of the tiles and the enemies. I like the story you setup for this character as well, great job!

Terminal 10 by alts 2013-08-30T08:27:00

Very funny and creative game, love the silly mechanics of using the parachute! Great job!

10 Floors by Anshul Goyal 2013-08-30T02:03:00

Very simple very fun. Love the espionage feel to it and the graphical style was pretty nice. I really had to speed run those levels to get to the end in time, so there was a pretty good challenge there. There is a slight issue with the way you get pushed off the edge by the red creatures, sometimes it doesn't push me all the way off and I have to wait out the timer to restart. Great job!

Hungry Fishers Dream Team by TijmenTio 2013-08-26T23:31:00

That was fantastic! Great artwork and music, really nostalgic! Your take on the theme is pretty well done, having the choice of when to switch to either the son or the father made me want to see how much fish I could get at once. Fun little dialogue between both characters although I wish you could skip through that start faster than just completing a line of dialogue and waiting for the next bit. Good use of the HUD elements to represent the time/harpoon mechanics although it felt a bit weird to aim. Sometimes the direction was a bit more angled than where I was facing, although that could be by design since it was really challenging to get the fish I needed. Great job!

About the pumping mechanic I assumed that when you were pumping air each pump gave you a second, but it seems like it gives you more. I'm wondering why you chose it to be that way.

Hungry Fishers Dream Team by TijmenTio 2013-08-27T00:55:00

@TijmenTio Fair enough! haha!

Haraka by gikdew 2013-09-10T05:43:00

Cool game, it's definitely got a Super Meat Boy feel. I kind of had some trouble making jumps off corners, I would just slide off the edge. And some of the friction on the box character felt too slippery especially for the moving platforms. Clean artwork and cute music, well done!

Room Rush by rogerklotz 2013-08-30T07:01:00

Simple and fun game, you nailed the theme! Very creative!

IMPACT by ENDESGA 2013-08-27T05:59:00

Pretty good, I really like the art style and the sense of speed. I feel like since these kinds of games are about getting really far, 10 seconds doesn't really work too well if you're using it as the timer. Perhaps a different mechanic mixed in with this type of game that has something to do with time could make it last longer and be a bit more interesting. Not sure what that mechanic could be exactly, but your execution was well done!

ARGENTUM FORM by blackotus 2013-09-16T04:49:00

Great mood and fantastic effects! Not sure if it was intentional but the sound was sometimes too loud or too overblown and was popping a bit. Nicely done!

Anti - Explosive Babies by ToadieTechnika 2013-09-01T02:33:00

Fun and challenging game! Really fun mechanics and tough obstacles. Also the music is really good although it seems a bit too loud. Very well done!

Routine decisions (in 10 seconds) by Yozz 2013-08-28T11:16:00

Very cool, great idea and well executed too. Looks good, sounds good and making quick decisions was kinda hard with the 10 second limit. The game sometimes stopped working after each section and I had to restart a couple of times but I really enjoyed it! Great job!

Solution by Cognizant Game Studios 2013-08-29T03:29:00

I eventually got the small box to be flush with the other small box but it didn't trigger any win state when the timer ended. Neat little idea and and a very basic usage of the theme. Cool!

10 Seconds Treasure Hunt by GodsBoss 2013-08-30T09:01:00

I really liked the graphics and the writing was pretty funny! Well designed maps and really cool concept. The theme was implemented well but man my finger is tired from clicking so much! Maybe add an option to tap the arrow keys to move. Well done!

Duel by zlowrance 2013-09-06T03:01:00

Simple and really fun! Fantastic concept! I love the dialogue between the two guys and the potential depth of the pose and direction you shoot really gives the game a lot of strategy. The only downside is since you can't really pair up with someone you know it feels a bit random playing against strangers or the AI. Having some sort of way to identify players allows for more mind games. Also the art style is really neat, great job!

MegaPunch by Nick Weihs 2013-08-30T00:33:00

Very fun game! Love the art style and the usage of the theme changing the blocks on the map was really cool and made fighting other people interesting and dynamic. Audio worked well with the game and the controls were pretty solid. Very well done!

Tensed Seconds by triforcespark 2013-08-27T05:18:00

I didn't mind that jump was on the space bar but it definitely makes more sense on the W key in this case. I really like the art and layout of the levels and the variable jump height is a nice touch even though the acceleration on it's peak seems a bit too fast. I wish you played more into the 10 Seconds theme, seems like you bypass the time limit with pickups. Perhaps a negative item that resets you back to 10 seconds if you touch it, or the closer enemies get time moves faster. Great job though, shooting those enemies is satisfying!

Time Surge by Solifuge 2013-08-30T00:02:00

Amazing graphics great mechanic and fitting music! It was a pretty tough game, but very satisfying to finally make it to the next room. Great use of the theme!

10 Second Dragon Feeder by Wertle 2013-09-10T05:22:00

Interesting use of the theme and a really cute premise with the dragon. I wish some of the art reflected the art style of the dragon though. Well done!

The Master of All Magic by marbu 2013-08-28T10:26:00

Congrats on completing your game! Sometimes it can be tough to get to the end especially when the game you are working on has a bunch of new problems you are trying to solve. I really like the random generation of the different areas and the master of magic being a cat is pretty funny!

10 Seconds of Joy by CosmicAdventureSquad 2013-08-27T06:20:00

That was really fun! I really like how you tied the game's theme on that quote and used 10 seconds to represent each character's joy. The layering of the music when you collect more and more people is really great. The increasing obstacles made it pretty challenging to navigate when I was controlling many people at once. And I liked how they were themed like sadness and anger(I assume the red one was). The upgrades were a nice way of specializing strategies to maximize how many people you could get and there are enough levels that I feel like it's a pretty complete experience despite the short time you all had to make it.

As far as criticisms go, perhaps there could be more styling around the playing field or some kind of background there. Not entirely sure if that would distract from the gameplay elements but you guys did a great job!

Treasure Run by The Jahn 2013-08-28T10:39:00

Pretty challenging game! I'm not sure if it was intentional or not but the background music and the timer beep were synced in such a way it felt like they were playing off each other. Art could use some more polish but the random generation was a nice way to keep trying over and over! Good stuff!

Unseen by Neo-Blue 2013-08-30T10:19:00

This really scared me, I don't do well with scary games. Great sound effects! Good job!

Royal Defenestrator by BasmanovDaniil 2013-09-10T05:37:00

Interesting concept and really funny! The music goes so well with the situation, and the Queen commenting on what you throw is pretty great! Well done!

Chrono Blood Ninja by theholychicken 2013-08-30T00:14:00

Cool graphics and awesome blood effects! Really satisfying to slash all those ninja and wall jump around the rooms. As everyone else has already said it does need a restart key though. Great job!

Viral by Kaldrick 2013-09-10T05:28:00

Neat concept. I liked the grid based system and the upgrades for your virus. I could see where you were going with the art style and the music, so I wouldn't say it's that bad. Would have been nice if some of the UI elements were bigger and more clear to read against the background. Good job!

Hurry UP! by Sense 2013-08-28T10:52:00

Very fun to play and great art style! The music suits the environment well and the jumping feels good. Some of the platforms sorta feel randomly placed and some of the short step blocks are hard to navigate if you rub against them while jumping. Great job! :D

Five By Five by cy4n 2013-08-28T04:25:00

Tough game! Having the limited vision really added to the challenge but like some other people said the tiles could be a bit more clear. I found myself getting confused on where I could walk. Well done!

Entropy by Supercannon 2013-09-16T04:32:00

Really fun to play! Cool art style and theme usage. Not knowing what's going to change next really adds to the excitement and it gets pretty challenging when you are preoccupied with the current enemies to see what's coming next. Great job!

Erfingi by olafurw 2013-08-27T00:04:00

Great concept and execution! 10 Seconds is definitely not enough time to choose an heir and that makes it all the better! I like how you used sound to create direction for the player and the low view distance made it tense and suspenseful. Also, having almost max limp suuuucks haha! The game would benefit greatly with some completed art, otherwise great job!

Bluescreen by Everbrave Interactive 2013-08-28T11:55:00

Very cool concept and presentation! I loved the old computer setup and the buttons on the side were a nice settings touch. The survival mini-game got pretty difficult as time went on and the normal mode was kinda easy. Pretty funny having the computer bluescreen when you lost! Remind me never to install Paladin Virus Hunter software.

Crazy Genetist by ratalaika 2013-09-01T23:27:00

Very nice puzzle idea! Super fun to play and really challenging, it kept me playing over and over again. Catchy music and a neat art style. Great job!

Frictionless Fury by elementz123 2013-08-26T22:48:00

I like the idea of added time to the next level, encouraging you to go as fast as possible early on to get more breathing space for the harder levels (like level 3! grr). Could do with more stuff in the level, maybe moving obstacles. I actually kind of like starting from the beginning provided a bigger version of the game is split up into 5 level chunks. It really forces you to learn the levels quickly in order to advance.

Raptor Rescue by jormungandr 2013-09-01T23:22:00

Simple and fun game with an interesting concept. I really like the upgrade system! Background music is a bit repetitive and I ran into a sound bug where opening up the shop at certain times would cause the sound effect of the meteors to loop really fast and go on forever. Use of theme was great and it was really fun to play stacking all the dinosaurs on top of each other! Good job!

10 Seconds Match by Tavibo 2013-09-01T23:46:00

Great concept and execution of the theme. The lighting effect really adds a lot to the atmosphere and challenge of the levels. I did eventually run out of matches and the level became pretty tough. Good music too! Well done!

QuickHunt by MvdLaar 2013-08-28T10:01:00

Simple gameplay and great art style! It was a bit hard to find the right animals and I always ended up in negative time, but it was a nice little area to roam around in. Great job!

10 Seconds to leave by Caracole 2013-09-01T23:15:00

I really liked the text choices and the hints/thought provoking comments on the walls. This game would definitely benefit with some ambient sounds and music. Very atmospheric, well done!

Kitty Force 10 by Raiyumi 2013-09-16T04:58:00

Great controls and awesome graphics! The music was also very well done. I wish the resolution wasn't so small though. Great job!

Lost in the Dark by KristinnEs 2013-09-16T22:16:00

Very cool use of the theme. It gets pretty challenging too! Nicely done!

10sion by KeinBaum 2013-09-02T01:05:00

Great concept and well executed! Pretty challenging game, and I really like the music! Great job!

ShitStorm by BubbleTea 2013-08-27T00:35:00

That was pretty silly! Your mechanic was shit...literally, and moving back and forth trying to propel myself up had me laughing each time. There is a bit of a problem with the "finish line" in that sometimes you get stuck on the top lip of the model and the gravity usually don't push you down fast enough to reach it before the timer ends. Very funny, and I never want to eat these 5 cent "Takos".

Legend of Epikouros by Erhune 2013-08-27T08:03:00

Wow, this is amazing! What a fantastic use of the theme. Knowing that everyone you've watched has experienced part of the adventure in game play and you by watching them really gives you a different perspective on how you use your time. The only thing I really would like is some kind of indication on how close to your turn it is. Depending on how many people play it, it seems like it could take a while before you have a chance. It's really great and I'll definitely keep following this!

Summer Death Olympics by bufbot 2013-09-16T04:52:00

Simple and neat retro art style. Good job!

Antarctic-Toc by Meep 2013-08-27T07:50:00

Old school arcade style game play with an event timer! Really cool idea using the theme as triggers for difficulty. Sound would definitely complete the experience, good stuff!

The Choice by matthewvermaak 2013-08-28T11:28:00

Emotional and thought provoking, well done. It would have been nice if there were sound effects or some kind of visual or color change to accompany the words and choices you made. Amazing atmosphere!

Quick! Crook Faster! by Ossi 2013-08-30T09:14:00

@Jupiter_Hadley I took a look at it. Thanks for featuring my game!

10-Second Switch by oajfh 2013-08-26T23:10:00

I like the 10 second charging mechanic you have, combined with the simplicity of a side scrolling shooter. I think you pretty much exposed most of the issues I was experiencing with the game. Some enemy types I'd like to see are stationary targets on either of the top or bottom surfaces, or maybe enemies that split into smaller enemies! And as someone else mentioned, contrasting the bullets from the background is pretty important for surviving, without feeling like you died from nothing. Good job! :D

The Final Countdown by AbelLemmens 2013-09-01T23:04:00

Good concept with a funny little story. I like the setup for the UI, using the environment pieces to keep track of the typed words and score. I wish there were more stages with harder words though. Fun game, good job!

Blood Trail:10 Seconds to Die by SlothSoft 2013-09-06T03:24:00

Cool game and nice artwork. Controls were really responsive and the game was pretty challenging with all those lava pools bordering the walls. Good job!

Tracewire by Drachlen 2013-08-27T04:41:00

That was really fun! Such a simple concept and controls and it starts to get really difficult when you introduce lots of wire slices and alternating gold nodes. Great job!

Red/Blue by aaronj 2013-09-06T02:54:00

Cool game! Interesting use of the theme and I really liked the alternating of blocks on the timer. It got pretty tricky later on although I wish there was some way to ready up before a level starts. A lot of times I missed out on jumps cause I wasn't ready to move. Good sound effects although the switching of blocks sound was a bit too loud. Great job!

Charge by TeamInCharge 2013-09-16T22:23:00

Great controls and use of the theme! Love the graphics and the grouping mechanics. Really wish there was sound to give it a more machine/robotic feeling as well as hearing those awesome tesla coils! Great job!

Mechanical Madness by Thermite 2013-08-29T23:45:00

Great level design and tight platforming controls! That was a pretty challenging game and using powerups as difficulty shifts is a nice mechanic. Super fun to play!

Antidote by Antidote 2013-09-10T05:53:00

Amazing game! Great graphic style and catchy music! The gameplay is really solid and shooting the pots and enemies is really satisfying. It's really challenging in the later levels to keep your money up. Fantastic job!

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-27T00:14:00

Poor kittens! I couldn't save them all! Cool take on the theme and the upgrade shop is neat. Great random names too, my ship was called Orange Universal, so gooood! Some things to improve on: I wish there was more feedback when collecting money or kittens, like a visual or prominent sound effect, and perhaps make it so you have to return to the shop to upgrade rather than being able to go to shop whenever. That may give the game a bit more risk/reward. Great job though!

Atomic Time Raiders by Colapsydo 2013-09-03T09:22:00

The intro is fantastic and sets up the mood of the game really well, the explanation of the mechanics are clear and simple. The music fits in really well and the game itself is super fun to play. Interesting take on the theme, great job!

Black Hole Runner by MatrixBai 2013-08-28T11:09:00

The ship needs to move faster, but I love your idea. A lot of different elements going on. You have the time itself to make your escape, the dodging of various obstacles and the collection of some. And the ever chasing black hole. Music fit the space theme really well, but the ship movement definitely needs some adjustments. Very neat game!

10 Sec Hero by StabAlarash 2013-08-30T09:11:00

Really neat idea, great artwork. I had trouble however exploring the area after the first locked door. I was trying to use the potion but it wasn't activating, I assume time is HP? Great work though!

The Parameters Have Been Altered by wbobeirne 2013-09-16T05:02:00

Really cool game! It got really tough when I ended up with the shotgun and didn't completely clear the stage I was already on. The enemies are relentless! Really like the look of the game too, with the grid in the background moving as you do really gives the playing field some depth. Added a bit of fun facts at the end based on how long you survived is a good touch. Well done!

LABYRINTH10 by Nizan 2013-09-02T00:01:00

Really hard game! That was super fun and well polished. The music was great and the buying time mechanic made the path back to the center really frantic. Amazing job!

Mr Moore's Last Seconds by Tainted_Code 2013-08-29T03:21:00

Charming game! I really loved the wedding part and the narration was a cool touch. Pushing the crowd to use as a platform was also neat. I wish there were more things to do that used the environment like that and perhaps have the collectibles be more like the art style of the characters, they seemed a bit out of place. Excellent mood, good job!

Action Movie: The Game by poohshoes 2013-09-01T23:56:00

Silly concept! Funny sound effects and driving off the cliff was pretty hilarious. Nice take on the theme, good job!

Off and On by gbear605 2013-08-28T23:38:00

Neat little idea. I feel like this type of game would benefit from being on tablets and perhaps with some moving buttons for even harder hand movements!

KunoNoOni's Magical Star Saga by KunoNoOni 2013-08-27T01:11:00

Some really tough jumps and the health draining really gave a sense of urgency. Perhaps the contrast on the character to the background and the blocks can be adjusted, I felt like it was a bit tough to see exactly when I reached the absolute edge of the platforms. Since this game requires you to keep moving, stopping to judge distance can cost you your life! Also a pretty funny premise for the story, great job!

LifeSpan by debarraGaming 2013-09-06T03:08:00

Interesting start to the dragonfly's story but a bit bland in terms of gameplay and difficulty. Needs some kind of distance indicator on how far you've flown.

It lasts longer when you're a genius by Darien 2013-08-30T09:42:00

That was super hilarious! Great writing for the setup of the story and the instructions! Your use of the theme is fantastic and very simple to understand. Love the cute little aliens darting around. Simple controls and challenging dodging gameplay is pretty fantastic! I wish there was more to the sound though, perhaps a warning ticker for the timer would give it more suspense. As well as the art could use more polish but it's really fun! Good job!

Tower of Wizard by KhaoTom 2013-08-27T08:41:00

Very cool take on the theme. Really nice artwork and fun dialogue/choices. Well done!

TOO MANY BULLETS by mklee 2013-08-30T06:54:00

Wow, that was super fun! Great controls and graphical style. Great challenge and nice use of the theme, creating different aura's for you to use to dodge more bullets. Super fun game!

Spider Slaughter by snade 2013-08-28T23:52:00

Take it spiders! I could only manage a score of 19 but that was satisfying. Really simple game, could probably use more stages with different sized spiders worth more points.

Stare by Drabiter 2013-09-06T03:32:00

That was actually a really cool use of the theme! Really funny trying to guess and feeling like I was 100% sure but ended up being wrong. Simple and effective and really entertaining. Great job!

Beams by alwaysinbeta 2013-09-01T01:47:00

Nice twist on an old school formula. Really challenging too! Good job!

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Signum by brookman 2014-08-26T00:07:00

There are some devious leaps of faith in this game! I love all the background effects especially when the cubes started spinning around the platforms and obscuring the view by moving into the foreground! Music was catchy too! Well done!

Tribe of the Giant by MerlijnVH 2014-08-26T05:09:00

Fantastic! The art is amazing and I really like how simple it was to understand. Well done!

Holodeck Adventures by rejooh 2014-08-25T20:15:00

Great art and the dialogue gave me a good laugh! The transition animation between the locations was really cool too. Amazing job!

ServerSphereICE by drakfyre 2014-08-26T08:34:00

Controls take a while to get use to, but the graphics are really impressive. Feels like I'm in some kind of computer world! Well done!

We're connected by Yozz 2014-08-26T07:19:00

Really well done! I love the art style and the way the dialogue fits with the quirky characters!

ANTS: A Love Story by Crono Maniac 2014-08-25T23:14:00

Very cute game! I think moving the grey dirt blocks really added a lot to the challenge of getting the food items to the right locations. Would be more interesting if you had a couple enemies roaming around to keep me more on my toes. The heart ending was really nice. Well done!

Light of the World by Limyc 2014-08-25T21:59:00

The lighting really sells the atmosphere! Really beautiful ending, and as someone said this would benefit a lot from some ambient type music. The theme also has a nice amount of room for interpretation. I like it a lot, great job!

Accelerated-Life by Makio64 2014-08-25T09:25:00

Beautiful art style. I love the subtle hints of direction and the creature moved very fluidly. This games really needs some music!

Dead Land by BoaHeck_ArtGent 2014-08-26T07:52:00

That was so good! I love the art and the story that was going on between the characters. The atmosphere between the two worlds was well thought out and some odd eerie/sad moments thinking about how the key could have gone to the "other side". The color and music shift between the worlds was a pretty nice touch! It would have been nice to have a slight transparent background behind the text just to make it more easier to read. Fantastic job!

twone minds by Tonasz 2014-08-25T03:56:00

Very fun and challenging! I really like how even with a simple level layout it's still really hard to multitask both characters when they bump into the obstacles and are out of sync with one another. Well done!

RED Thread by NickZangus 2014-08-25T09:36:00

Amazing game! The sliding of the characters took a while to get accustomed to. I'd prefer more stopping control for this kind of platforming style, though.

H.O.C.M.A. by Techblogogy 2014-08-25T07:04:00

You're right it does take patience! Neat idea and I really like the use of basic geometric shapes for the representation of all the materials. Cool!

Dreamonaut by hbocao 2014-08-27T05:23:00

Loved the atmosphere and the message behind it! Great art too! Amazing!

Burger Beat by TrickFishPie 2014-08-25T21:53:00

That was really fun! I managed to jump over 6 boxes before my jumps wouldn't keep me in the air long enough to input the commands. It's really hilarious when I just run as fast as possible because of the way the guy animates. Well done!

Any Moment by Jakub Koziol 2014-08-25T23:28:00

Very interesting and thought provoking. You make some really great points and the subtle interactivity of your questions allowed me to answer them for myself. Sometimes just sending a message through our work is enough to inspire others, and your message has resonated with me. Well done!

Antipode by BROWNY_09 2014-08-26T07:31:00

Great idea, solid start to this kind of game. The theme fits well!

Gravity: Connected Worlds by Seraphic Media 2014-08-25T22:17:00

Lots of clicking! Great graphics, good UI, and a great use of the theme, well done!

Boulder Toss by quade81 2014-08-26T05:21:00

Building rock bridges is a pretty cool mechanic! Really digging the art style too! I wish I could pick up rocks from a little bit further away because when I'm trying to recover the rocks as I cross I sometimes stand on it by accident and fall to my death! Great job!

Parallel by ahmedmohi 2014-08-25T20:26:00

Good mechanics and really fun! I did run into a problem though. Sometimes when I switch to the second block the direction of movement is flipped so that pressing right arrow moves left and left arrow moves right. I'm not sure if that was intentional but it made it a real challenge to platform that way! Well done!

Towel Run by OnErrorResumeNext 2014-08-25T21:46:00

Great mechanics! The third level was pretty tough and took me a bunch of tries. Very funny concept too, well done!

Close Your Eyes by nonetheless 2014-08-25T07:15:00

I love the minimalist graphics and the entire concept is simple and has a good amount of challenge. Well designed levels and the mood is great! Well done!

Spirit Aerie by tanjent 2014-08-26T07:37:00

This was a really fun game! Jumping back and forth between the two areas is a neat mechanic, it really lets you test your memory about the types of animals you need to complete the puzzle. It did take a while to understand some of the game but I got it eventually! Music is nice and the art is beautiful! Great work!

TrainGates by Hozar 2014-08-25T22:08:00

Your web link doesn't work but the windows standalone version works. That was a really cool! I like the atmosphere of a the train in the dark woods. It was really easy to destroy the gates since you could just shoot as fast as you wanted. I like the freedom at the end where I could just go on until the end of the track at maximum speed and fly off into the darkness, that was really hilarious! Well done!

Human and Alien by BoskoSokolov 2014-08-25T09:18:00

That was really fun! I wish there more levels!

Connected We Run by Sandcrawler 2014-08-25T21:31:00

The game moves a bit slow and sometimes the platforms spawn impossible jump situations. Otherwise really cool idea, the music was entertaining as well! Good job!

First of the Final by bakwards 2014-08-25T19:18:00

Really cool concept! It took a bit to get use to the effect gravity had on the ships but once I got it down those planets were mine! Good job!

The Connection by jas7229 2014-08-25T09:00:00

Nice idea, I really like the use of dual controls. It's really tough during the narrow parts, I always get pushed off screen! Well done!

SHIT RUNNER by Cad 2014-08-26T05:14:00

This shit is hilarious! Funny game hahah!

TopDownShooter by Lagalot 2014-08-25T21:38:00

Fun and simple game. I like the music and watching the cubes explode into little cubes is pretty satisfying. Well done!

Connected Islands by klusi0 2014-08-25T09:07:00

Pretty cool idea. I like the simplified ship combat with the adjustable speeds. It's just a small thing but I really wanted there to be a wave trail behind the ship, it felt a little weird haha :P Cool island graphics as well, good job!

Relative to Scale by Peach Pie Productions 2014-08-25T06:31:00

Fantastic game! Feels really polished and complete. I had quite a bit of trouble as the moon because the movement was very slippery, but I guess that was point. I love the retro graphics too, and the music fit the mood really well. Well done!

Cablage by Allchimik 2014-08-25T23:41:00

Great atmosphere and really eerie sound effects, it really set the mood. Good use of lighting with the very flat colors of the environment made the environment feel very ancient. I did however get stuck for some time on the second portal, I couldn't find where to go to make it to the next orb activation thing. Well done!

Alice by synchingfeeling 2014-08-25T23:59:00

Really unique and interesting! My only complaint is that the sound you used when the timer was close to expiring was really loud. Even after turning my volume down it was a bit hard on my ears. Otherwise, good job!

Driver's License by Sanguine 2014-08-25T22:36:00

I love this! The crafting is really clever and funny. The interactivity with others is a really great idea! Really fun to play and the music is relaxing. This is a really good game!

Aurum by Ralkarin 2014-08-27T02:10:00

That was really well executed! It would be cool if I could rotate the planet in all directions though. Very innovative and this can definitely be expanded to have many more things to build! Great job!

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Orbytos by Zathalos 2014-12-10T03:35:00

Great visuals and I really love the spherical perspective. Very colorful and the power up combos are a nice touch keeping the game engaging. I wish there was music and sound, cause I can just imagine the awesome shooting sounds and explosions that could come out of this! Good job!

Snowman Slide by Zanzlanz 2014-12-11T22:36:00

Very cool! I like the sliding mechanic and the levels weren't too easy or too hard. The graphics look nice and the music loop is catchy and doesn't get annoying. The stats on the right side of how you did is a really nice touch. Overall a really good game!

The Tower by Chaoseed 2014-12-09T00:05:00

Cool idea using the entire browser window to fit the text and story progression. Very nice!

Blocked by Pinpickle 2014-12-11T08:18:00

Fantastic game! I love the way it looks and sounds. The way you transition to new levels and change up the rules of the game in very simple ways allows for good diversity. I actually like the slippery nature of the movement, since most of the obstacles only block you it's not as frustrating unless they killed you instantly. Some serious polish going on here! Great job!

Mini Screens by matpg 2014-12-13T00:43:00

A nice time waster, I like the different colors each square gets. Has a real artistic feel to it. Good job!

Winter Madness by Herku 2014-12-10T20:46:00

Simple and a good place to start for a fun game. It's a bit too easy to stay alive since your snowman is so small and the obstacles are small as well. Maybe if your snowman grew bigger the higher your score got, it would allow you to collect more snow but also make it harder to avoid getting hit! I really like the snowflake graphics though, well done!

Hard Winter by Taldius 2014-12-09T19:58:00

Having the maze off-screen yet keeping your character on screen is a really great idea! I like how it gives you room to make a big level without everything being really small and it's more of a challenge to navigate the maze to find the towers. Incredibly well done!

Kill The Snowmen by elektricmaster7 2014-12-10T06:41:00

I like the art and the use of the theme was good. It gets really frantic when you're trying to pile up on snowballs again only to have a massive amount of snowmen spawn on the other side of the screen! It's fairly challenging, I like it!

Galactyc Budget Flights by Elemental Zeal Games Studios 2014-12-13T23:52:00

That was pretty cool! I really like the graphics of the UI and the juggling and maintaining between tabs to keep yourself alive. The audio set the mood well and some of those emails were pretty funny! Well done!

Not Making It by Mattias Wargren 2014-12-08T21:45:00

Nice use of the theme and that's a really good song loop! The positioning of the keys was the biggest challenge and made the game really fun and interesting. I managed to get to level 21 before seeing what the lose state was even though I made a lot of mistakes. It perhaps felt a bit too easy. Well done!

Snow Problem by TehSkull 2014-12-14T07:02:00

The graphics are really interesting and the mood is top notch. Really creepy/weird setting. Very cool breakaway from the theme having two parallels of the game Junior plays and his day to day life. Good job!

Constellations by Cat 2014-12-20T01:35:00

Really great! The magnifying glass mechanic is really cool and gives a lot of a challenge to the game. Very nice graphics and the theme was incredibly well done. Great job!

Darumaban by alfadur 2014-12-11T10:25:00

Very well done game! Nice graphics and adorable music! Getting all the snowman built was actually really challenging. I kept getting snowballs stuck in corners haha! Good job!

The Last Standwich by Lawls 2014-12-25T08:19:00

Neat idea. It was a bit confusing at first how to combine the ingredients to make a sandwich but I eventually got it. It's pretty challenging to get the zombies to line up! Good job!

Blind Maze by FlashRocks 2014-12-25T08:22:00

Cool idea, and pretty challenging. I'm not entirely sure if I like the way the character controls with the directions being reversed when the level spins completely around. Nice mood though, the music and visibility make it feel a bit creepy :P Well done!

Creatures of Torzig by SwiftIllusion 2014-12-09T06:42:00

Very cute game! I like the art style and playing with the creature using the volleyball was pretty fun. The tossing mechanic works really well even though it's all in 2D. And I never experienced the joys of leading my target with food so he won't starve! Well done!

Battle for Ethonia by barkergames 2014-12-25T08:50:00

It's like playing tug of war with yourself! I like the tricky balance of making sure one side doesn't overtake the other too quickly. Cute graphics too! Well done!

Killa Biva' by apeandskate 2014-12-25T09:20:00

Very simple and cute! I like the crazy high combos you can pull off. Good job!

BlockFlop by ParaPup 2014-12-09T02:22:00

A neat idea, but just a tad bit simple and bland. If there were more going on like obstacles or enemies it'd add to the challenge. I dig the concept though, good job!

Precise Shot by TimBeaudet 2014-12-29T17:46:00

Fun game, I really like the bow and arrow mechanic! The game was fairly challenging especially on master bow mode and the charging mechanic was pretty well done. The fact that you have to not only aim correctly but time when you let the arrow go makes it all the more engaging. Great job!

Blue Cave by NuSan 2014-12-08T08:46:00

That was really fun! It took some time to get used to controlling the flail but I eventually got the hang of it. Really cool idea to have the momentum of the character be part of the swing. Jump, press space to launch them forward. It feels really active while at the same time putting you in front of danger to keep things interesting. The shield power-up really helped against the final boss! Good moody "cave" music as well! Well done!

Globby Online by Diamonde 2014-12-10T21:21:00

Very cute multiplayer game! I like the graphics and the use of the theme was well done especially having the entire page be filled with the water rather than just having a small window to play it in. The mechanics are very simple and easy to understand and having a chat beside the game is really nice way to laugh with others when you get a bunch of coins and fall into the water! I managed to get over 100 coins which was pretty funny since you start to become the target of everyone else. Really fun stuff, well done!

Bubblemellow by cinnamonmelonpig 2014-12-08T22:28:00

Great art style and very good contrast on the colors. The obstacles were basic and challenging. Level 6 took me a while to get through and the clever use of those drops on the last level was devious! Very cool level transitions too! Great job!

SnowCard by mrexcessive 2014-12-10T21:48:00

Neat game! I like the little music jingle when you select the right combination of colors and the idea of revealing a winter landscape in the background is nice! Obscuring the hints by making them orbit each other or being stuck in the snow adds enough challenge without making it frustrating. Although sometimes I didn't understand what order the colors had to be select in. Good job!

Save the Giant by drkrunk 2014-12-12T22:31:00

Graphics and atmosphere are really good! The controls were a bit finicky. You can't jump in a direction from standing still, this made me miss platforms constantly when I got higher up. And sometimes my character would get stuck when the wind? was blowing me off the ledges. With more polish this could be something great for sure, great concept! Well done!

Galvatross by ShuddaHaddaLottaFun 2014-12-10T03:52:00

Really nice art, and the music fit this era of gaming really well. The flapping felt a bit slow and not as smooth as something like Joust but I enjoyed it. I really like that teleport mechanic, it's fun to use! Well done!

Snowbotron by Elrobo 2014-12-14T00:09:00

Great animations and nice and simple 3D graphics! I really like how the snowmen pop up from the snow. Really good use of particles to make it feel like you're in a snow globe ( I assumed that's what it is. ) The controls worked really well and it was really fun to play, although I didn't see any indicator of how many presents I had collected, which would have helped with letting me know how well I was doing. Great job!

Behind The Fog by fullmontis 2014-12-11T09:09:00

Very great atmosphere! The slowly revealing areas and the music really set the tone and gave the entire place a somewhat foreboding feeling. Oh and finding the snowman was a nice touch haha! Well done!

Racecar by maryrosecook 2014-12-14T00:00:00

It's a little bit hard to control the car when it turns. I like that you animated the turning of the wheels and the starting light to tell you when to go is pretty nice! I also like the overlapping part of the track. Well done!

The Adventures of Entire Game and One Screen by papazoot 2014-12-14T00:20:00

Really innovative concept! I had a hard time figuring out the pattern of the arrows when there were a lot of them on the level. Seems like there's a lot of trial and error when solving the puzzles. Either way, I haven't seen a game quite like this before so it was a nice surprise! Great job!

Frosty Ninja by belva1234 2014-12-08T21:55:00

Silly song! It was really fun to play, I love the challenge and the way you control frosty ninja feels really dynamic with the wall jumps! Well done!

Pyramid of death by KedumeBits 2014-12-13T04:27:00

Very cool graphics style and cute sound effects! I really like the way you laid out the obstacles and having that ghost chase you really adds more pressure and challenge. Well done!

MetaLD by ibilon 2014-12-14T00:24:00

Nice entry, truly meta! I like how you simulated having multiple windows open on the task bar. That was a nice touch. Cool stuff!

Tiny Bear Adventure by Mr.Greenhat 2014-12-12T23:02:00

Very neat concept. I like the graphics and the little animations when the bear lands on a tile! Limiting the types of tiles you get really adds a little bit of strategy when you need to heal up tiny bear and when you need to grab coins. Sometimes it feels a bit too random, but that's fine! Well done!

One life hero by komjaur 2014-12-18T08:16:00

Very cool game! I really like the randomized layout and the vision restriction to make you feel a little lost in the dungeon. Really simple and effect game, well done!

SnowTiles by gamedevBear 2014-12-14T06:41:00

Really challenging and fun. Great use of the theme! The spinning blocks tile was a really mind bending mechanic and it really took me a while to get past some of the puzzles. Really great concept, fantastic work!

Lone Wolf by KeinBaum 2014-12-14T00:42:00

Very simple and minimalist graphics style. I really like the way the movement feels and your use of the theme was well done, keeping the bounds to the browser window! Cool entry!

An Adventure on My Screen by Erhune 2014-12-09T05:06:00

So I just spent about 45minutes on this game farming up and vanquishing the boss with my friends and others that joined in. It's so good. The concept, the execution and the entire experience is super great. The only thing I can say against this is the latency, but that is obviously unavoidable. Either way Erhune, I always love the multiplayer elements in your Ludum Dare games, they're so well done and I've never seen them made in such short amounts of time. Overall great and very innovative! Excellent work!

Unicycle by bunnyhero 2014-12-10T21:26:00

That was really neat! Great use of the theme and a very interesting little story tied in with the platforming bits. I wanted to keep going just to listen to the catchy music. Good job!

A Sketchy Game by Todnut 2014-12-08T20:51:00

Wow, what a charming game! I really like the graphics and the story you created for the snowman. The battle mechanics were simple but effective and had a really neat gimmick with it. I love how I was fighting a bunch of characters that were related to heat! Very well done!

Neverending Snow by LittleThor 2014-12-08T08:56:00

Wow, that was really amazing! The art style is fantastic and your use of the theme is perfect. The vertical space was well used and the cryptic signs really set the atmosphere. It was a bit weird knowing where I could click since the character moves not quite on the path, but I managed to navigate just fine after some clicking around. Lots of potential to expand this into different kinds of landscapes! Amazing stuff!

Pin Cushion by Empyrealhell 2014-12-12T22:20:00

I enjoyed playing this game! I really liked the transition effects to change the levels and the pull tile mechanic. Very cool!

The Battle of Yelms Keep by martymon 2014-12-13T03:47:00

This is great! Really cool use of the theme and having the army march separate from the shooting makes it more strategy than just pure spam click action. Loved the stick puppet aesthetic too, and it was just super fun to play. Great job!

Mobius Dungeon by nesis 2014-12-08T07:37:00

This is fantastic! I love the way you switch to different parts of the level and the puzzles are really tricky. Really innovative stuff!

Stage 1-1 by Flatgub 2014-12-29T16:16:00

I really like the train sound in the background to make it feel like you're playing a game on an actual phone. The procedural generation is pretty neat and I really like the animation on the snowman. It was a bit hard to control the snowman mid-air though, which ended up with me falling off the platforms more often than I think I should have. Good job!

Heer Dunter by Satyre 2014-12-12T23:05:00

Very silly game, I like it! The mechanics are simple but the concept is pretty funny, with a deer riding a TV! Nice music too, well done!

Boagie Dodge by Boracho 2014-12-11T22:10:00

Cool game! It was pretty challenging timing the wall jumps while having to dodge stuff being shot at you. Well done!

Spiral Wings by Joe Williamson 2014-12-11T10:00:00

Very cool very short story with a beginning, middle and end. Jaw dropping graphics and the way the sun in the background highlights the scene. The animation on the dragon is very impressive and the audio fit the magical feeling of this snapshot of the world you built. The gameplay itself was maybe a bit too simple from the game side of things, but I absolutely loved this! Fantastic job!

Dispense With Chaos by colludium 2014-12-12T23:10:00

Very innovative idea, with the adjustment of the bag and the strategy of trying to best drop the presents in the right spot is pretty challenging. Audio fits well with your artwork and the settings. Good job!

SnoZonE by Fortyseven 2014-12-09T08:52:00

I could say this game is very... cool. But seriously, this game is really well done. I like the graphical style and the saturation of the colors. And there is something about the POV and the sounds that make the snowmen really creepy. The crosshair with the scanning numbers on it looks really good and it feels like I'm in a tank. Well done!

Refresh by MrTedders 2014-12-08T08:38:00

Great use of the theme. The glitched environment was really cool even if it was a bit confusing at first. That mario guy was creepy, haha!

Bunnies! by voidqk 2014-12-11T22:28:00

What else is there to say but MMM LUNCH TIME YEAAAA! Cute graphics, and hilarious! Well done!

Entity Unchained by ViliX64 2014-12-14T00:35:00

Nice and simple. Really cool graphical choice, very striking. My only issue was the bits of narration were a bit hard to read. Having the large spacing between the letters kind of gave me a headache :P Otherwise, great job!

ONE WORLD - DEFENSE OF THE SACRED SHRINE by CornflowerBlue 2014-12-09T06:22:00

Amazing game! The art is great and the music fits perfectly. The options in the store allow just enough strategy to help you defeat each wave and it gets tough fairly quickly too! Very well done!

Life Goes On by sprawl 2014-12-29T16:23:00

It was a bit hard to understand and not much was going on based on the directions I chose. It sucks that you didn't have as much time to expand this concept, there is something interesting with the atmosphere here but like you said it's definitely abstract. Good job!

Slidey Box by Arkrothe 2014-12-29T16:49:00

Started a bit slow but eventually got faster which I liked a lot. Really simple and well done concept, and I like the simple colors of the cube and walls. Good job!

Force Feedback by kumoi 2014-12-12T23:14:00

That was really funny! Great use of the theme and I totally did not expect that to happen. Very clever, very innovative! Good job!

Escape the TV! by Dexyne 2014-12-29T17:33:00

I managed to make it to the exit! I wish there were more levels, I like this concept a lot. Very clever use of the theme even if it was a bit easy and simple. Well done!

Scarecrow by joekinley 2014-12-29T17:39:00

The song makes this so hilarious! You can't really win or lose the game it seems and you don't gain any sort of score from what I can see. But man was that enjoyable! Good job!

H.T.P by rottenmage 2014-12-11T10:14:00

Interesting concept. I think you captured the repetition of life very well of how we need money to get things or "platforms of opportunity" to access those things. Graphical presentation was nice and the controls felt good. The title screen at the start set the tone for me for the rest of the game. There is no start button in life, just start! Well done!

Tree and Fairy by twelveplusplus 2014-12-12T23:42:00

Very nice graphics and adorable music! Fairly simple defending type game and I really like having to run into the robots to take them out! I really wish it were a bit more challenging though, the enemies spawn really slowly, so there were times where I was waiting for something to happen, or some kind of score system. Well done!

Blind Spotted by snapman_GT 2014-12-12T23:46:00

Really innovative idea and fantastic use of the theme! The title animation was really cute! It was really tough to sneak up on the other arrow, mainly due to the controls being a bit sensitive. Sometimes I got stuck just on the sides of doors and kept getting caught by the enemy there. Great colors/contrast on the graphics though! Good job!

Make It Count. by Kabukky 2014-12-25T08:31:00

Really cool! I wish you had more time to complete it, it was just getting good when it ended! Nice graphics, sounds, and great atmosphere! Very well done!

Pickup Styx by tcarter 2014-12-11T07:51:00

Very nice game! I really like the graphics, music and the voice acting. Cool twist on frogger having spirits you need to collect in the middle of danger. Good job!

Hauler 31 by benmcnelly 2014-12-08T19:33:00

Best title screen moment I've seen so far! I really enjoyed the audio conversations that setup the mood for the game really nicely. Had a really good laugh with this one and just because you can make music, doesn't mean you should ;) Well done!

neven by igoramendola 2014-12-13T00:00:00

Score: 24! Really nice game, really challenging! Having to setup ahead of time where to place the snowmen really adds a lot to the game. The graphics were nice and it was really fun to play! Well done!

Christmas Crusades by Tridecimal 2014-12-13T00:16:00

Really nice artwork and simple and effective mechanics. I managed to come away the victor! Well done!

Off Screen by Bogden 2014-12-08T20:22:00

I love the simplistic graphics, music and you nailed the theme perfectly! Fairly challenging and really fast paced. It's one of those ideas where I ask myself "why didn't I think of that, it's genius!" And the difference in behavior for the enemies allowed for the game to never get boring even if I had to restart a bunch of times! So incredibly well done, fantastic work!

Nooo Bath Time!!! by Gabbmonkey 2014-12-08T23:06:00

Hilarious concept! Works well with the theme and the control of the character is really good. Creating platforms to help you stay alive while also good for using as a double jump is a pretty smart idea! This game is so dirty, good job!

The Fast and the Flatulent by Drtizzle 2014-12-10T04:18:00

Very strange game. Who knew distractions would be an interesting mechanic?! Very hilarious use of the theme and very cool controls. Well done!

Lil's Sheep Defense by virtualtoy 2014-12-29T16:08:00

Great graphics and good use of the theme! It was pretty challenging just trying to shoot the wolves instead of the sheep, and the bite marks on the sheep were pretty funny! Very cute game, well done!

One Screen Game with Enchant by belstras 2014-12-25T08:45:00

A bit confusing at first. I assumed I had to just collect the glittering stars? I really like the audio and the atmosphere felt appropriately magical.

Orderly! by HypnoBeaverMoose 2014-12-13T00:22:00

Really fun and innovative game! I like the book stacking mechanic and having to separate them by color was a challenge. Very nice artwork and cute story, really well done overall!

Owls Ever After by Mike Mezhenin 2014-12-13T00:31:00

Very cool concept! It was a bit hard figuring out what to click on, but I love the time travelling through memories idea. The graphics and the mood was really great, but this would benefit from audio a lot. It's too bad that you didn't have enough time. Fantastic stuff!

Dungeon Discord by Bezza 2014-12-10T22:21:00

This is a pretty good result for your first time making this kind of game! I like the animations on the slimes and the way the level spawns in enemies from the doors rather than just instantly appearing. Perhaps some hit effects on the skeletons for example would make give it a better feel and feedback. Good job!

A Link Between Screens by trykondev 2014-12-10T05:13:00

You nailed the mechanic! Combining some of my favorite elements from Zelda games and packaging them into a really cool idea! This has a lot of potential, great job!

birdsong by managore 2014-12-10T06:30:00

Everything about this game is amazing. I cannot believe you made this in such a short amount of time, it's quite the feat. I love the simple controls and graphics but more importantly this is in my opinion perfect level design. You intuitively go in the right direction even though at first glance you feel lost. The bending effect keeps your eyes perfectly on your bird and the current trials that face you. It totally feels like the camera is moving even though it's one static screen. It also takes quite a bit of time to complete. To me this feels like a fully completed game that I would see on steam or on my 3DS. This is as perfect as you can get for a Ludum Dare entry. Blown away, amaaaazing!

Screen Swordsman by Acuity 2014-12-10T03:58:00

Really simple game. It seems a bit too easy to push the enemy off the screen. Since you're invincible maybe some kind of resistance mechanic where you get tired if you push too long would add a bit more challenge. I really like the music and the concept of "the screen is yours" is really cool. Well done!

shootAbox by skulioskarsson 2014-12-11T23:10:00

Congrats on making your first finished game! I really like the simple graphics and the colors orange and blue always look nice together. The audio fit well and the particle effects gave some good feedback when you shot stuff. Good job!

GRIDMASTER 3000 by pixelguff 2014-12-13T00:35:00

Very cool game! I like the art and the use of the theme was good. Using the same room and adjusting the enemies and obstacles was a nice touch. I liked the music, but the sound effects were really hard on the ears especially the tread sounds for your own tank. Good job!

Souls by friken 2014-12-09T20:05:00

Good graphics and nice references! I like how you guys created different attacks for the different attack directions. Well done!

Dread Keep by Frump 2014-12-10T07:30:00

I made it to the end! The gameboy graphics are really nice and the music fits perfectly. It was a bit too easy and sometimes the monsters got stuck on those rocks, so I could easily continue on to the next level. The atmosphere was really nice as well. Good job!

Ricochet Heroes by spotco 2014-12-14T06:46:00

Great game! Unique, innovative with nice graphics and cute sounds! Not sure exactly how this fits in with the theme, but it's extremely polished either way! Well done!

Territorial by zed0 2014-12-13T00:41:00

Nice concept. I've never played a game like this before. It works really well with the theme and it feels quite innovative to me. I like the constant struggle to expand although it was tough once I got about half the screen, since it sometimes felt like I couldn't hold back the smaller bots. Very neat!

Riveroboros by doitle 2014-12-08T18:59:00

That was really tough! Even though it was a bit dizzying to look at with the way the level scrolls, I kind of liked tapping up to "catch up" to the pattern of the flowing river, it really felt like I was running haha! I couldn't beat it though, the timing is really precise. Nice use of the theme and the music was really catchy, well done!

Snowman Builder by ianb96 2014-12-10T07:35:00

Making those neighborhood kids work for you building an army of snowmen is the ultimate snow-warlord's dream! Really funny!

TV Top by MintArcade 2014-12-09T01:51:00

The game looks and sounds fantastic! What's better than playing Tron air hockey on a tube TV?! Very well done!

Snakkke by ratking 2014-12-10T05:04:00

Great idea and good execution! This is quite the mind bending game! Very challenging and it works really well. Great job!

Penguin Savior by Samuel Arminana 2014-12-10T04:23:00

Cute graphics and cool backdrop for the theme. Something about the controls felt a bit slow to me, and I had a hard time making some of the jumps to the moving platforms since they went back just as I was in the air. I wonder what's going on in the next room! Good job!

Sweep Stacks by excaliburjs 2014-12-25T08:38:00

Very cool game! Feels really good to break the tiles and the guitar plucking is really satisfying! Great job!

Bullet Beat by ekun 2014-12-14T07:09:00

This is great! The music is fantastic and the gameplay is really challenging and fun. I wish I was better at it so I can hear more of the song haha! Very well done!

OJiJi by Xorboo 2014-12-14T06:28:00

Very cool game, a bit weak on the theme but fantastic use of shadows and the music is really great! Well done!

Crate Collecter by jthistle 2014-12-11T08:01:00

Very simple and compact game! I wish there was some kind of movement boost/energy system to have a chance to catch the crates on the other side of the screen. The bonus crates do add more to the experience, especially the gift of anvils, which was really funny! Congrats on making your first game with Unity! Well done!

Disco Kitty Nightmare by Alendro 2014-12-10T03:48:00

Cool disco theme with really good music! It was really challenging as you stated in your description. I found it difficult to purchase the right upgrades since the enemies are so relentless and there are obstacles randomly everywhere. I just ended up picking up the closest thing to me. Good job!

Glitch Adventure by unnamed1334 2014-12-08T07:59:00

Very interesting idea of leaving the play area and adventuring beyond the game's levels. Good use of the theme, well done!

Mutton Mower by comatomatoes 2014-12-08T08:17:00

That was really challenging. There were some odd cases where even when I push the sheep away they sometimes eat the flowers faster than I can react. Very cool concept though and I really like the art! Those sheep are too hungry!

Fido, Fiona & Fidel by pjimmy 2014-12-10T07:20:00

Very interesting and innovative way to create a maze game! I didn't really find the cat and dog to be super useful, I just guessed my way through with the bird's help and check every wall for the most part. Good use of the theme too, I like it!

The Aardvark and the Manatee by Sanguine 2014-12-09T02:34:00

What an absolutely beautiful game! The artwork in combination with the music was perfect. The controls were easy to grasp and translated well between the two characters. Now the story at first seemed a bit odd, but after noticing that the manatee was protecting the food for the aardvark it all made sense and really sold me on the love they both have (or at least the manatee haha). Great way to represent time as well, with the little notches for each moment.

Simple, beautiful, and well designed. Fantastic job!

All Is Lost by plauk 2014-12-08T08:09:00

Has a really good look to it, and I really like the way the missiles track the asteroids and the exploding animations. There was some weird issues with the aiming cursor where if I ran far in one direction it was being left behind. I did a really bad job protecting the poor wildlife, all is lost indeed! Well done on your entry!

Hazard Hills by CliffracerX 2014-12-09T02:41:00

I really liked the atmosphere. It controlled fairly well, although the friction on the platforms was a bit sluggish. Audio fits the backdrop really nicely and it feels like I am going up a snowy mountain. The transition upwards when you beat a level is very dramatic too! Well done!

Random Name Attack by bnmkt 2014-12-08T19:12:00

I love the idea behind this, and the random names of the enemy ships gives them more personality! Like most others have said, the controls of the movement and firing need some more polish and tweaking and perhaps an increase in the spawn rate would make it more engaging. Great first game though, keep making more games!

Donut Factory by TheNewPhoenix 2014-12-18T06:03:00

Cute game! I like the different kinds of donuts and it's a very relaxing and simple game. Music did get a bit repetitive but it fit the factory-type setting nicely. Very cool!

Puissant by dkellycollins 2014-12-18T07:49:00

Pretty awesome concept! I grew up playing a ton of SimAnt and really love that game and this game definitely has the potential to encapsulate the feeling of controlling an ant colony. I still think these kinds of games are innovative and unique cause no one seems to make many of them, and I really enjoyed playing around with this! Although it was a bit weird that the ants looked like they were vibrating, but I guess you can fix up the pathfinding stuff in the future! Very well done!

Bug in your room by Harley77 2014-12-12T23:18:00

Really funny game! It was a bit tough to hit the bug since I had to walk to the other side of the screen to get enough height on the throw, but I managed to do it! Really silly to be able to throw the cat, haha! Well done!

Blondmare by razieliyo 2014-12-11T22:53:00

Very cool game! I like different types of weapons and how they all shoot differently from one another. The music was nice and that eye enemy was creepy! I would have probably preferred less floaty up and down movement since it was sometimes hard to dodge enemies even though I had a lot of time to react. Well done!

Little Snow World by rsergiu2003 2014-12-08T19:05:00

Great game! Neat art style, good use of the theme, and pretty hilarious bumping around the track! I managed to get all the pickups and finish the race in 26.8 seconds! Very fun, well done!

Sea King Hunter by gameattack 2014-12-09T08:13:00

This is really great! Fantastic art style and animations and a really good use of the theme. Having the Sea King come out like that really makes you feel like you are confined and fighting for your life! The music fits perfectly as well! My only gripe is that I think one hit and you die is too little, I would have enjoyed it a bit more if it took 3 hits to die. Otherwise, amazing work you guys!

DisChord by Grindstorm 2014-12-29T17:53:00

A really great game! Great graphics and presentation. Really good atmosphere and ambient music! The gimmick of switching between the different symbols really added a lot of thought to the puzzles and overall a nice use of the theme. Great job!

Dry Land by funkysquid 2014-12-08T08:22:00

I was confused at first until I found the submarine. Really funny and great transitions with the water filling up and then draining. Good use of the theme too. Those fish are scary! Good job!

The Box by OriginalOldMan 2014-12-29T18:07:00

Very simple and very cool puzzle game! I liked the complexity of controlling the multiple robots. It did feel a bit weird how the controls were mapped to the keyboard, sorta felt like playing twister with my fingers haha! Well done!

Retro Fairground by Sir_Kovitch 2014-12-09T00:18:00

Pure madness is right! This game is really crazy and tough to play on your own. Definitely had to play this with someone else and it was a blast! Very much a party game. Good graphics, solid use of the theme and overall fantastic! Well done!

Farm for Space by pixzleone 2014-12-18T06:18:00

I really like this idea and it's incredibly difficult! As someone suggested in the comments, maybe a slight warning when a meteor is about to fall, if it falls directly above you and you are not already moving it's pretty much impossible to react in time. I managed to get to the second plot 6 out of 10 crops, and it took me 10 tries! With some tweaking to the balance I could see myself playing more of this! Good job!

Never Die by Proximal Pyro 2014-12-18T07:16:00

Congrats on your first Ludum Dare entry! I like the atmosphere of the game, the lowered vision really adds to the tension and difficulty. I did want the shooting to be faster though, since it was tough to maneuver in the rooms and the zombies had quite a bit of health. I did die once to a zombie attack me through one of the walls, which was kinda funny! Good job!

Inventory by TheMeorch 2014-12-10T22:13:00

Super clever and really funny dialogue. I like how you separated each "game" element into it's own category for the different stats. The items I had to sort gave me a good laugh. Good job!

Whole Life On One Screen by Demy 2014-12-10T06:58:00

Very cool concept, and I loved the personal feel to it. You captured the "whole life on one screen" moments fairly well. With more polish this could be a really cool management type game where you could possibly expand to becoming a successful blogger or something along those lines. Well done!

A Programmer's Life by Rene Damm 2014-12-08T23:00:00

Ah, the life of a programmer, so much work! Very interesting and the music made it feel a bit sad. Well done!

Office Gaming Inception by AMS 2014-12-10T06:50:00

Kind of hard to play, but I think that's a good thing in this case! Really hilarious and super meta. The stress management portion was really interesting and eventually I just succumbed to the pressure! Good job!

Cobot by GameQuester 2014-12-11T22:21:00

The area at the bottom of the level is hard! I really like the art style and the robot bug is really cute. I also like the teleporting mechanic and sound effects, they really add to the atmosphere that we're dealing with some kind of robot facility. Well done!

Overworlord by max_peabody 2014-12-09T01:45:00

I really like this a lot! Nice use of the theme and I had a lot of fun watching the adventurers suffer at the hands of my upgraded dungeons! Well done!

GraviFlip by oh_andrej 2014-12-10T04:32:00

I really like the graphics and the combo system you have going for the gravity stomps! Really cool music too. Great entry!

Rainbow-Maze by grid96 2014-12-10T22:05:00

Very well done. I like the colors you used for the levels and the display of them on the right side! I did find some of the arrow boost things to be a bit hard to navigate due to the slippery nature of the movement. Very cool, well done!

Teeny Tiny Little Ball by FerraWare 2014-12-09T07:38:00

Very clever and very simple. I love the story you built around the tiny ball and I especially like the timer zone mechanic. Also at the end you literally broke the fourth wall. Well done!

Orbitals by DXsmiley 2014-12-08T20:09:00

Simple and effective idea! It makes it really challenging when you make the things you have to collect spawn the things you have to avoid. A good amount of different patterns for the red squares to keep you guessing. The music and sound effects are so good that I just want to keep playing to hear more of it! Good job!

Space Diggers by arg-games 2014-12-08T22:55:00

Great graphics and a good use of the theme. It took a while to figure out and with the help of mildmojo's comment I got something going! Very well made, good job!

R by Floriaen 2014-12-12T23:37:00

Great concept! The way you aim your shots makes you think differently when trying to dodge enemies ( which was pretty tough. ) I like the simplistic graphical style and the shadows on the enemies made everything just pop. It was a bit weird that you chose to use + as an enemy, cause for some reason I assumed those were health, instead of the blue rectangles. Great job!

You Are Lost by farwyler 2014-12-11T22:45:00

Great atmosphere, graphical presentation and music! I love the sound effect when you make it to a new campfire, really smart design. It was a bit hard at first cause there are so many wolves everywhere, but I eventually found my way out! Really impressive, good job!

Carnage by Bygmalion 2014-12-13T23:56:00

Really great color scheme on the graphics and the shadow animation effect on the platforms really made it look funky in a good way! Had fun playing this, well done!

Stuck in Pimbo by huggabugga 2014-12-09T19:37:00

Interesting concept! I like the way the ghosts look! It was a bit tough to guide them around but eventually I got it. Very cool game!

Channel Surfing by RockhopperGames 2014-12-10T07:06:00

This is great! Surfing the channels was pretty cool and then when I realized I could play some of them it kind of blew my mind. Doing those sick penguin dives! Also the weather channel was pretty funny! I know you didn't have the time but I really wanted more channels, there were so many! Good job!

Cuberot by guldlock 2014-12-10T05:20:00

Outstanding game, great atmosphere and music and the graphics were spot on! Very basic mechanics of opening doors with keys, but I really enjoyed that moving wall as you rotated the cube. Very well done, incredible potential for a full game here! Great job!

Super Carrot Farming 3000 Deluxe by AngrySquirrels 2014-12-10T21:05:00

Really cute game! That is until you get to night where it becomes a bunny blood bath! I really like the player and bunny models and the animations are really well done. You used the theme well and the backdrop really added to the atmosphere! Good job!

Get Bigger! by admix 2014-12-09T08:45:00

This is really great! Good art and very cute animations! Loving the Katamari inspiration as well. I found it quite funny, and the leaving the screen text is quite meta. Good job!

RIZUMUDEKATTO by EquipeJAM 2014-12-11T10:20:00

Nice graphics and music that feels in time with the attacks. I like the split of mechanics between choosing the right attack and facing the right direction. Well done!

SPIN-2 by hypnoticbytes 2014-12-08T23:14:00

Very fun game! It's got that Super Hexagon vibe for sure. Good music and great graphics. I especially like the visual filters used as the music changes. Amazing job!

Rush by Wusakko 2014-12-10T21:38:00

Nice! I did it in 171.39 seconds! The music was very intense and I like the way the ball builds up torque making it challenging. I really like the transitions between the different levels. Well done!

Boing! by Evergreen Games 2014-12-08T19:43:00

Great jumping mechanic and very clever use of transitions to fit with the theme. Really fun to play and a pretty innovative way to add new challenge to standard platformer gameplay. The level where you hit the button and the death wall comes after you was really tough! Amazing first Ludum Dare entry, good job!

Eternal War by goodbadokay 2014-12-08T21:05:00

Very cool game! I like the aesthetic and how it's all contained in one place like a board game. The changing of seasons was a cool atmospheric touch and the music fit the middle-age setting very well! It sort of reminded me of Age of Empires haha! Well done!

Snowman Critter Control 2 by andrs 2014-12-11T07:56:00

This game is hard! I really like the animation of the rolling and the bunnies hopping around and it kind of feels a bit like katamari. Pretty neat game, well done!

RobFishing by xTacobaco 2014-12-12T23:28:00

Really cool fishing game! I like the mechanic of picking up the box to transport it back and forth between the two usable positions. Unfortunately I picked up too many monster fish so I lost really fast haha! The upgrade system is really neat too. Well done!

Press the buttons ! by jlouisB 2014-12-11T08:11:00

Cool concept. I like the simplicity of the graphics and the moody dark setting. Having the ground fall beneath you is a nice touch and it created a scenario for me where I had to hug a corner to get to the last button! Congrats on your first Ludum Dare! Well done!

Don't Fall by SeriousDeath 2014-12-11T08:30:00

Great use of the theme and really innovative! The art was very nice and the music was pretty silly haha! It was a lot of fun trying to escape the disappearing rooms and pretty tough to kill the snowmen. Great game with a lot of polish! Fantastic job!

Ludum Bark Beams by CullenCoyote 2014-12-10T04:12:00

This game is great! Simple graphics and gameplay but it goes a long way. It's very challenging and the slow zoomout after every round is a really good use of the theme, as it not only adds more places for you to escape danger but more places for danger to find you! I like the subtle details of the dog stopping for a second to bark, feels like he's putting a lot of energy into the bark beams! The level with a lot of dog enemies is really hard though, that one took a while to get through since their barks seem to cancel your own when they collide. Great work, I really like this a lot!

31 Sugar Free by MurderSantaTeam 2014-12-10T20:55:00

I like how the game looks and the fact that you are defending a huge present! It was a bit hard to see what my units were doing and I eventually got overwhelmed trying to defend. Neat little game!

Save the Life by baseteam 2014-12-09T09:02:00

I really like the different types of enemies and how they swarm your "children". The challenge ramps up at a good pace so it doesn't get boring and overrun you where you have to really prioritize the path their taking to eat what you shoot. Very good game!

Flashlight by Team Flashlight 2014-12-12T23:21:00

Great job, that was really good! Nice graphics and pretty good atmosphere with the sounds! It got challenging pretty quickly as I was always trying to get multiple ghosts in the flashlight beam. Also, it was a bit creepy how the ghosts carried me out the windows. Overall really great!

Avoidotron by StabAlarash 2014-12-09T00:11:00

I really like the graphics and the music. The slippery surface was a nice touch to make it challenging. Although I feel the jump height may need to be a bit higher as the drop off when you fall is very sharp. This sometimes makes it hard to land on the platform. Good job!

Gnome's Dungeon by madmaw 2014-12-08T22:37:00

That was really fun! The ladder mechanic is really interesting, and a bit funny how you used snakes to pull you down. Feels like you combined bejeweled with snakes and ladders! I like it, well done!

Untraveled by khahem 2014-12-09T02:08:00

That was really good! Very innovative twist at the end with the last puzzle. Controls really well and has a really nice art style. Would like some more atmospheric music to go with the gameplay but it worked really well!

Tama by kill0u 2014-12-11T09:20:00

Cute game! I like the throwback to the tamagotchi and using that for the theme. It was pretty funny when the tama was scared and it pooped! The use of the guide throwing the ninja stars to help protect tama from enemies is a really cool mechanic. Well done!

Four Seasons by bushmango 2014-12-09T00:35:00

Very cool game! Love the artwork and the fact that when you stand still the cat starts napping! The audio is also fantastic and really funny. Very creative mechanic of the changing seasons for each island. Great job!

SwitchCubes by erik 2014-12-18T07:07:00

Very cool idea, and you pretty much nailed the theme! I liked the animation on the tiles changing and it was pretty challenging to remember what each button did as you moved through the level. The art style is really solid too! Well done!

SchneeMannschaft by Myyyvothrr 2014-12-11T08:44:00

Really relaxing soccer game with snowmen! The music fit surprisingly well with the art style and the soft colors. There was some wonky AI stuff where the other team would shoot the ball on their own goal. Great job!

CUBE Clicker by Polyganz 2014-12-09T07:28:00

Wow, that was really great! Looks great and it's really addicting to just sit there and click a lot. Some kind of objective would really be great though, I wanna use my cubes to do something more meaningful! Well done!

Blockade by TheGreenTie 2014-12-11T08:51:00

Great use of the theme, hilarious visuals and audio when the twist hits. I don't even know what else to say except I didn't expect that and it was amazing! Great job!

Witchcraft by Ellian 2014-12-09T00:27:00

That was really great! I love the art and music and the theme fit really well. The multitasking kept things interesting and choosing to fulfill orders or keep fighting slimes was a challenging balance. I really enjoyed this, good job!

CHRONOKICKER 202K by jwkim 2014-12-09T03:43:00

Really fun two player fighting game! The artwork is great and the music really fits the frantic nature of the combat. The characters move super fast and it's sometimes funny to accidentally jump out of bounds or walk off the screen only to die immediately. I like the arena changing mechanic and how it just drops you immediately into a potentially dangerous pitfall if you're not fast on the double jump to escape. Very cool stuff, well done!

Memories of Seasons by ncannasse 2014-12-10T05:01:00

That was absolutely fantastic! The graphics were great, the music and sound effects fit and the atmosphere and mood was so good! You nailed the theme, and built such a great story around these characters in a strange and thought provoking way. I loved this a lot! Outstanding!

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Grow My Thing by ChronoDK 2015-04-21T17:51:00

Yep that weapon is truly unconventional. Very challenging and pretty darn funny. Great job!

Bubble Trubble by Jon Reid 2015-04-21T22:28:00

The sound effects are really great! I like the circling mechanic although it was sometimes hard to draw and then jump at the same time since the bubbles move up really fast. Great use of the theme, good job!

Gravity by Pinpickle 2015-04-21T05:50:00

Great sound effects, it really sets the atmosphere. It took a while to get use to how the gravity works but it's a really cool idea. Great use of the theme, well done!

Mable: The Journey by tripleVisionGames 2015-05-11T02:52:00

Even though the sword itself is conventional the method you use to attack isn't, so I really like the way you used the theme. The graphics and the presentation of the title screen really brings up the atmosphere. Really fantastic work!

Vacuum Hero by Evgiz 2015-04-20T07:12:00

This is incredibly well executed and it has a good challenge to it without being too frustrating. Great job on the graphics and good use of the theme! Great job!

Home by Sakuyan 2015-04-21T21:18:00

The art is so good! I love how cute and simple it looks. The mechanics are pretty standard but I really like floating with the chicken! Theme works well and the small snippet of story at the end was a nice touch. Great job!

Crash Derby by chocobyte 2015-05-11T02:30:00

Silly little sandbox game! I had a good laugh when some of the smaller cars were driving upside down haha!

TeleMage by ProjectX593 2015-04-21T06:09:00

Teleporting as a weapon to do indirect damage is such a good idea! You nailed the theme perfectly and this feels pretty innovative to me. Graphics are great and overall just a really good game. Great job!

Truly magical cat by Yozz 2015-04-24T04:28:00

That was really great! The graphical style, music and the start of what seems to be a really charming story. The throwing mechanic is interesting but clearly you didn't have enough time to expand it. Not exactly sure what the unconventional weapon is but either way this was fantastically done. Great job!

The morning type by Liam :D 2015-04-22T19:50:00

Great use of the theme and I really like the tic toc letters coming out of the clock on the title screen. I really wish you had to push space for the multi-word parts, it really feels weird to type. Otherwise overall it's really great!

Get Toasted by MRvanderPants 2015-04-20T07:20:00

It was hard to use the toaster to hit some of the enemies and sometimes the toaster would get stuck in the tree trunks. I like the unconventional weapon you chose though, pretty funny!

(mental)fairy by 0x0961h 2015-04-22T19:20:00

I really like the graphics and the audio however it did get a bit too easy the further I got. Having a wall of bullets was pretty satisfying though. Amazing job!

Super Cupid by panurge 2015-05-11T02:21:00

This is great! Amazing use of the theme and really hilarious! Having different gods with different conditions really made it interesting. Great work!

Kick it Hard! by f7f5 2015-04-22T19:08:00

That was really fun to play! I like the bounce physics on the ball. The sound effect really made it feel like a real soccer ball. Well done!

Dirty Fork: Unleash the Mayhem by SmilingCat 2015-04-24T04:22:00

That was really hilarious and fun! The movement of my character felt a bit slow and clunky but I really had a blast picking up different kinds of foods and throwing them around. My favorite was throwing a watermelon slice at full power and having it get stuck on the ceiling! Amazing job!

My Little Weapon Creator by Liz England 2015-05-11T03:13:00

This game was super funny! I really like the cute and silly stuff you can add to the weapon. Nice twist on the theme, great job!

Sal and Papa by McFunkypants 2015-04-21T04:54:00

The graphics are great and the sound effects are really cute! I really like having to flip the shakers over to get at the food. It was really tough to control both at once but it made it really funny to try haha! Great job!

Blackboard Wars by KedumeBits 2015-04-21T06:12:00

Very cool game! I love the graphics and the dedication to the chalkboard theme, as well as it being the unconventional weapon. The sound effects really added to the atmosphere as well. I really like this!

Scary Faerie by jojocanard 2015-04-22T18:53:00

I really like the scare mechanic and the strategy behind separating the dwarfs. Nice music and good use of the theme, great job!

Ramming Speed by dingotime 2015-04-20T08:16:00

I love the pun in the title! Really great game, controls well, looks good and has a nice tune in the background. After the first two levels it starts to get really challenging. Overall really fantastic!

Sam On Tape by fluidvolt 2015-04-21T06:25:00

Great music and nice take on the theme. A bit simple and engaging against the enemies was a tad bit boring. I really like the final screen too! Good job!

Savior by CarlsonAndPeeters 2015-04-21T21:32:00

Nice game, I really like the simplicity of the art. The jumping felt good but when you landed it carried some momentum from before the jump so it felt very slippery to control. Other than that, well done!

GAMUBòRU GUMBALL!! by Robber 2015-04-21T21:43:00

That was pretty hilarious! Funky music and cool graphics really fit together with the goofy theme of those gumball guys. Very cool!

You Are a Skunk by LTPATS 2015-04-20T08:10:00

The game controls really well and looks nice. Nice use of the theme, really silly and fun! Well done!

Super Dash by FireSlash 2015-04-21T06:19:00

Really like the graphical style of this. It got really hard very quickly especially if you try and get multiple hits in a single dash. I like the music as well, this is really good!

Guitar Masters by ftstar 2015-04-20T20:18:00

I like the idea for the theme, fighting orcs with your guitar! The controls could use some work though, I sometimes got stuck on the side of the terrain and I could jump after falling from a platform. I really like the look of the sprites though, very nice graphics! Well done!

Yo-Yo Ninja vs Flat Evil by 10FingerArmy 2015-04-20T20:36:00

Good use of the theme and the 2d and 3d effect is pretty amazing! It was really challenging to use the Yo-Yo to hit the enemies and that made dodging and attacking a really interesting balancing act. The opening cutscene was pretty cute, I enjoy it a lot. Great job!

Quest For The Orb of Toz by Orange 2015-04-21T04:41:00

Nice graphics and catchy tune! Using your own skull as a weapon is a pretty cool idea and the bouncing counter was a really nice feature. I like it! Good job!

A Knife Made Of Whispers by managore 2015-04-21T05:25:00

You always make some pretty amazing stuff! I love the atmosphere, graphics and the music. It was a bit frustrating to make some of those jumps because at the end of the jump it feels like there's some minor acceleration. You managed to fit in a lot of levels too, it's really impressive. Fantastic work!

They Come from Behind by nonetheless 2015-04-20T21:37:00

Really great execution of the theme, incredibly clever! I really like the graphics and the music goes with it very well. It may help improve the readability of what can hit you or not if the planets and space junk in the background were more in the distance and faded out. Otherwise, great job!

Girl from the north country by Muffin 2015-04-20T07:34:00

Really interesting story. I like the way you used the theme and connected it with the emotional tones of life. Having the story fold out on itself as you click through the different days is a really neat idea. Great sense of mood. Well done!

Tranquility by tanjent 2015-04-21T22:33:00

Very cool idea and fantastic use of the theme! I really like the artwork too, good job!

Sticky Bomber by bazld 2015-04-20T08:20:00

Nice mechanic, although it didn't feel like the movement was as smooth as it could be. Was a bit cumbersome to fling yourself to another peg. I like how the music fit in with the bomb theme. Well done!

Null Chroma by Chris Delta 2015-04-22T19:40:00

This is really great! Amazing use of the theme, the graphics were really nice and I find the color nulling mechanic to be pretty unique. Overall pretty darn good!

The War Dog by Xinelu 2015-04-21T04:49:00

Really great atmosphere and music. I like how the instructions were given as you explored the minefield. Very sad but when I managed to escape it was a bit uplifting. Well done!

That was a nice game. I really like the unconventional weapons you chose and it fit really well with the dungeon crawling style of gameplay. Well done!

Second-hand Spaceman by MCPGNZ 2015-04-21T17:37:00

I like the sprite work and you used the theme really well. Great smoke effects too! I wish when you brought the shrubbery back to the princess you'd get some health back though. Good job!

Maze of Friendship by frondeus 2015-04-20T08:03:00

Great use of the theme! Who knew friendship could be so powerful! I really like the graphics and the cute sound effects when you make one of the monsters your friend. Great job!

Vocal Power by JohnGalt 2015-04-20T21:21:00

Really great use of the theme and really innovative. I like how you have to balance between the different interactions while speaking and how much energy you have in the day. Good use of mood by having the player walk up to the place to speak as you would do in real life. Very original, great job!

Her Majesty's Apathy Bomb by ianburnette 2015-04-21T05:36:00

Funny and silly! I really like the narration and the graphical style fit well with some of the goofy dialogue. I enjoyed this a lot!

The Grape Escape: Banana Shadow by tweedle 2015-04-22T19:27:00

Simple gameplay and a funny little story. I really liked the graphics and the menus, those looked really good. Nice use of the theme. Grape job!

Static by albinobat 2015-04-20T07:05:00

Neat idea for the unconventional weapon. I really like the rubbing on the carpet to generate the static mechanic. The waves were a bit easy once you charge up to full and could pretty much clear the entire wave in one go. Well done!

Emotional Golf by CamRFWhite 2015-05-11T02:39:00

It was really fun to try and get the par times. Great use of the theme and abstracting out a typical weapon to something that fits well in a golfing game. Overall really enjoyable!

Garden of Strife by Nanolotl 2015-04-20T07:55:00

This is really well done! Great graphics and smooth controls. My only gripe is that it's a bit hard to hit the enemies without getting hit yourself. I love the use of the theme, well done!

Smash the Elfiarchy by DevoNoel 2015-05-02T22:56:00

Interesting concept. It's too bad you didn't get to finish it. A score keeping track of how many kills you got would of helped. I like the art style of the characters! Well done!

Oh Sheeeep! by marinalucio 2015-04-21T06:35:00

The movement of Beatrice was a bit slow but this is a pretty great game! Love the art style and the music, really charming and relaxing. Great work!

Spread The Village by Luminar 2015-04-20T21:04:00

A fairly relaxing game except for the whole striking things with lightning bolts! I enjoyed just watching the villagers build their houses and helping them out by making more resources for them. I found myself wanting a way to skip ahead in time cause there is a lot of waiting around. Well done!

HipStar by dkdwrek 2015-04-20T21:41:00

Good use of the theme and really great graphics! The idea of throwing a vinyl record to make money is kinda funny and goofy. Good job!

Multilool by Phask 2015-04-20T07:42:00

That was really fun! Good use of the theme! I managed to get a score of 29057! I really like funny and silly games so this is pretty great! Good job!

An Unconventional Weapon by Rulrite 2015-04-20T21:26:00

The graphics are amazing and the use of the theme is very good! I really like the audio bits when the people turned happy. The story bit at the end was pretty funny and unexpected haha! Good job!

NOPAEW by Anikki 2015-04-20T21:51:00

Very cool game. It was a bit challenging for me because of the speed in which the character falls after jumping felt too fast. But I love the graphics, effects, and the destructible nature of the environment. Well done!

Bass.Drop(); by DaniDK 2015-04-20T20:12:00

I managed to get a score of 43! I like the dodging/collecting gameplay of it but it was a bit slow going. Not 100% sure how it fits with the theme, music is the weapon? I really liked the beat when you dropped the bass! Good work!

The unconventional weapon trader by Prowler 2015-04-20T20:25:00

I have a new love for these kinds of games, the silliness never ends! Great use of the theme and really funny, I love this! Fantastic!

Giant Insects by calrk 2015-04-21T06:03:00

Really clever use of the theme. Something about the darkness of the caves is really atmospheric and a bit scary to me haha! Well done!

Food by OnePonyGames 2015-04-23T22:52:00

Really nice idea to use for the theme. I love the effect of the seasons changing. Good job!

Sten the Keyboard Warrior by Peatuno 2015-04-24T03:57:00

Pretty fun to play. I really liked how you split up the screens for the shop and the gameplay into two different areas. Overall pretty simple game, and funny concept for the theme. Well done!

Megane Fever by Park 2015-04-21T05:47:00

Cute and funny! I really like the way you used the theme and different objects to flip would definitely make it a lot more satisfying. Nice art style as well, great job!

Ghost Prosecutor: Closing Statement by awestsecurity 2015-04-20T21:10:00

Combos were a bit hard to use but I love how you interpreted the theme. Really interesting stuff! Great job!

Skyku by kabutakogames 2015-04-21T19:59:00

This is really innovative and the execution on the theme was perfect! I love me some puns and Skyku is great! I did have a lot of trouble battling though, I got close to winning once but the enemies are way better than me at this haha! I like the combination of genres and the planets in the background added a good amount of atmosphere. Great job!

Sivo: Trial of the Lava God by rattower 2015-04-21T05:59:00

Good use of the theme and a very nice and simple art style. Good job!

AntsAreBad by MrSchlag 2015-04-20T20:41:00

But I like ants! I got a score of 966! Very simple game, I like how the RC Car controlled. Cool use of the theme, well done!

Sound Barrier by conniejoern 2015-04-21T21:09:00

My score was 4500! I really like the Game & Watch graphical style and the music was really catchy. Not sure how this fits into the theme, I may just not be seeing it but I did enjoy this. Very nice!

Chemtrail Madness by zsoltbartok 2015-04-21T17:30:00

Good concept and I'm glad you made it so you wrap around on the screen, it would have been frustrating otherwise. Well done!

Sand Blower by babilounet 2015-04-20T20:47:00

I really like how you put a spin on the game snake. The controls are really responsive and it feels very fast paced. Very catchy background music and using your weapon to travel is very unconventional! Very well done!

MONSTER CANNON! by grywhttl 2015-04-21T19:51:00

I really like the graphics and the types of creatures that get shot out of the cannon! It was a bit hard to control the direction of the cannon, the sensitivity felt a bit high. Well done!

NO TIME TO EXPLAIN: GET IN THE LLAMA by Nidar 2015-04-21T17:17:00

That was weird and crazy. I really like the different kinds of weapons you get. Well done!

Dinosaur Field Notes by crab 2015-04-22T19:33:00

Really cute game! I like the art style and the premise. I assume the camera is the unconventional weapon, not sure how that fits in with the theme. But good job!

Mindblowing Voice by Ghen 2015-04-21T05:43:00

Good use of the theme and nice artwork. Pretty funny interpretation of blowing someone's mind! I noticed that if you bounce the sound wave and it flies over someone with their head already gone it still registers a hit. Other than that, well done!

The Collection by gillyadrien 2015-04-21T07:15:00

Really cool mechanic, nice use of the theme. The audio was really good and it set the mood very well. Congrats on your first solo game jam! Good job!

HUGO THE LASERCAT KING by TyrusPeace 2015-04-24T04:37:00

That was hilarious! I love the premise of the laser pointer being the way of controlling a bunch of cats. Perfect use of the theme and incredibly fun and imaginative! Amazing job!

Hipster Heroes by theflocks 2015-04-22T19:01:00

I really like the unconventional weapon you chose, very funny. I like the mirror mechanic but it was a bit hard to aim and know what angle it would bounce off at. Good job!

XenoDisc: Attack on Tokyo Bay by foxboard 2015-04-21T20:50:00

Really great use of the theme and some fantastic artwork! I didn't realize until halfway through playing that I could launch multiple discs, that's pretty cool. Great job!

Ex-Sword-Stential Crisis by Team Ex-Sword-Stential 2015-04-21T16:42:00

That was really fun! Great graphics, presentation and incredibly funny and entertaining. This is great! Well done!

Llamaism by Diventurer 2015-04-24T04:13:00

That was really interesting. I like the simplicity of the graphics and the colors you used. The color of the sky fading when you moved to different areas was a nice touch and added a lot of atmosphere to the game. Such a silly concept growing llamas haha! Good job!

Out of Bullets by haveric 2015-04-24T04:00:00

Great polish, I really enjoyed that! Really clever use of the theme having to send random objects out of airlock to attack with. It was fun to see the stats at the end too. Great job!

LD42 — Running out of space

minicipality by Remco 2018-08-14T00:58:46Z

Awesome game! Even though the use of the theme was very straightforward it was super engaging to figure out the best place to put the buildings so it ended up making the theme really stick. I love how you have options on what types of building blueprints you can pick instead of just placing them one by one, it made it a lot more challenging. The art was fantastic as well! Great job!

Snake Mango by Kappa.B 2018-08-15T04:04:21Z

Great game! I love the rooms mechanic you have going on, combined with the typical snake tail obstacle it makes for some interesting traversal situations. You pretty much nailed the theme perfectly! I really like the simplicity of the graphics. Turning your own tail the same color as the mangos made it really tricky to find your way around since it becomes camouflaged. So good!

Just some things I found a bit wonky. Since your snake moves in steps it's a bit hard to control when to turn. I'm not sure if it's not registering my inputs or I'm not timing my key presses correctly but sometimes I'd run into a wall without meaning to. Also I always die before I get to hear the amazing music! It woulda been nice if the music just played continuously even after you restart. But anyway, great work, I loved it!

GLASS HOUSE by AkirAssasin 2018-08-15T04:42:32Z

That was a lovely game! The growing animation on the flowers were beautiful and the game was very relaxing. Some music would go a long way for a game like this. Well done!

Escape from The Alliance by Jimbly 2018-08-15T17:36:02Z

This was really good! I love how simple it was to see what needed to be done to protect my ship. The story was really entertaining and did a lot to create a mood where I wanted to save these people. Very good idea swapping out equipment over time to increase the challenge, although I didn't find it particularly difficult since shields and weapons were generally enough to overcome anything. I used the engines one time and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Pretty great game, I enjoyed it a lot!

Get Comfortable by mcccclean 2018-08-15T20:03:29Z

Incredible! I really love all the different interactions between your character and the computer. Such a clever idea to have the score system based on how much space you take up but at the same time reacting to where the computer is moving. The combo names are hilarious and made me laugh the entire time playing it! The sound effects fit perfectly too. Such a simple concept with so much depth and with some offsets you can have a bunch of goofy combinations of positions. This really needs multiplayer cause this would be a fantastic party game! Perfect Ludum Dare entry in my opinion! Charming as hell, great job!

Growing Out by superpokeunicorn 2018-08-14T03:54:04Z

What a lovely game! I really like how you take different paths through the same area as you get larger and larger. I found the enemies pretty tough, especially when you knock those ranged blob enemies back and they manage to snipe your last bit of heath mid-air ahaha! The pixel art is really well done too, love the metroid vibe going on here!

Rising Tide by smilewood 2018-08-13T04:47:04Z

Very neat idea! I like how the elevation of the build spots had you consider where to build. There's definitely a lot of potential for this kind of game, like some kind of natural disaster focused SimCity.

As some people have mentioned there are many spots where building a house to begin with will prevent you from proceeding. The north-east area in the back seems to be the only viable place to start building houses and factories since the other low areas are just slightly too expensive. When the water started destroying houses I was still able to build past the maximum amount displayed in the population meters. I assume this has something to do with updating that UI properly since having the stores still hanging around allowed me to speed build on higher ground even though they were destroyed. (Maybe there's a delay period before they're considered destroyed?)

Overall though I enjoyed myself. Good job!

Le Parking by karlipoppins 2018-08-13T04:10:54Z

That was a pretty cute game! At first the controls were a bit weird but as I got more used to it it started to give the game a more unique challenge. Trying to position the cars ahead of time as to not block yourself later down the line was a neat idea.

I found myself running out of time more often than I was struggling with parking space though, so it felt like a bit of a deviation from the theme in that way although I do see what you were going for. Not sure if I was just unlucky but if you restart the game after losing the cars sometimes take forever to show up and another time I couldn't move my character anymore.

Good job!

Brightly-Wrapped Boxes by incobalt 2018-08-15T01:13:35Z

That was really cool! It was very satisfying to stack the gifts. Very nice touch adding a difficulty slider since it definitely gets really hectic real fast if you're taking your time to position the boxes. Opening the gifts at the end was pretty funny too. Great job!

Window Hopper by Avocado 2018-08-14T05:02:47Z

Pretty good use of the theme and innovative too! I had a lot of trouble moving to other windows though. Sometimes it would look like I could cross over only to either end up in a window in the opposite direction or just a straight up loss. Well done!

Get Outer Space! by Nick Rafalski 2018-08-14T05:43:26Z

Absolutely fantastic game! Incredibly innovative and you nailed the theme perfectly! I found it really difficult to multitask positioning the cargo and dodging asteroids and yet it was so fun. I think it would be a good idea to have less asteroids at the start though, might make the entire experience a little bit smoother. I had a good laugh when some of the asteroids started spinning really fast out of control, it was super funny. Amazing, great work!

Escape from the tentacles by xilentor 2018-08-16T21:38:51Z

Really cool game! I like the change from pathing enemies, which are so typical for tower defense games. Good use of the theme limiting your space to build defenses the more overwhelmed you get. My only gripe is that gold generation can't keep up half-way into the wave since by that point you're being swarmed so much the first two pylon build spots are unavailable. Nice graphical style and it's just overall fun to play, great job!

Detox by FiloGC 2018-08-15T03:44:05Z

Very addicting game! I really love the graphics and animations! Keeping the combo going is both stressful and exciting at the same time. My only gripe is that the sound effect for the score increasing is a bit hard on the ears when it goes very quickly, but other than that this is a fantastic game! Great job!

EVOLUTION by Noa Calice 2018-08-14T06:12:56Z

The. Art. Is. Amazing! Pretty much all of it is amazing to be honest. I had a lot of fun decorating the planet only to slowly start realizing what I was actually doing to it. The audio started to creep me out as I got further into it and I thought that was a nice touch, reflecting the state of the planet not only with the visuals. This is definitely a winner, great job!

Oh god, what have I done?!

EVOLUTION_WhatHaveIdone.png

Lost by Endurion 2018-08-15T18:15:00Z

Solid use of the theme! I really like how you can shoot back the void with your weapon. The sound effect for the shooting did hurt my ears quite a bit, I'd recommend playing that sound a limited number of times when you have a fire rate that high. Good job!

Chief Data Engineer by candlesan 2018-08-15T18:40:12Z

Very enjoyable puzzle game! The last two levels were pretty challenging and I like that you showed the objective on the right side since it was a bit difficult to see where the pieces had to fit on the level itself. I found the "I'm on it!" dialogue responses to the tasks to be very funny, I had a good laugh before each level! Nice game!

Pillar by arcadonauts 2018-08-15T04:51:34Z

I really like the idea of blocks being, well, blocked by making certain moves. Ordering matters a lot of the time and that makes it pretty challenging when there are enemies on screen. It gets real crazy by the end! Well done!

Return to Garbage World by mrjorts 2018-08-14T01:50:02Z

Orienting myself was really tough to begin with but pretty fun and challenging to play. There's a really good feeling of panic when the surface of the planet appears and you have to control your speed for the safe landing. Good job!

Prog-Jet vs Guardians by Bismark 2018-08-16T21:07:53Z

Cool game! I like how you need to consider where you put your walls in order to have the best opportunity to get to the power-ups. I found the speed to be a bit too slow and enjoyed it a lot more when I used the capacitor. Good take on the theme with the walls and the guardians breaking the environment! Good job!

Poseidon's Trident by garygreen 2018-08-15T21:03:52Z

Cute and charming game! The dialogue was adorable and funny and a solid use of the theme. I was a bit confused as to what causes the water to flood at different speeds. A bit of guess work involved but it was enjoyable. The music was very catchy too! Very cool!

Crystalmancer by Crowno 2018-08-15T03:15:36Z

Love the aesthetic, Zelda games are my favorite! The palette swap feature was a nice touch! Music was fantastic too. At first I was pretty confused what the mechanics had to do with the theme but then I killed an enemy and it instantly clicked. It was a bit difficult to use the hammer but otherwise I really enjoyed my time with the game! Great job!

Rise and Shine by Jakub Panek 2018-08-13T06:26:02Z

What a funny way to build a skyscraper! Timing the drops was a lot harder than I was anticipating but you definitely get into a rhythm with the different types of building material. I really like this concept and how it shows your successes in the form of the building and your failures in the form of all the destruction left below! I dropped sooooo many bricks ahahah! Great job!

Deep Heat by gwinnell 2018-08-15T03:05:16Z

Amazing game! I love the graphics and the music a lot. Using both the room and the fire as a way to limit where the player can go is a really great idea and I was surprised to see an upgrade system after I died. Lots of polish and lots of fun, fantastic!

Leave by SimonTheCase 2018-08-15T07:28:23Z

I really like this concept. The atmosphere the music and sound effects give off is really nice, especially since you only had a short time to do it. Very nice!

I had a problem with one of the levels though, not entirely sure how it's possible to get there unless I'm missing something.

Leave by SimonTheCase 2018-08-15T07:47:10Z

@simonthecase I just managed to beat it, that level's a tricky one!

Crumbling Dungeon by JSMCAG 2018-08-15T05:21:04Z

This is great! I really like the graphics and the music mixed with the opening intro story really sets the atmosphere perfectly. The crumbling mechanic is really well done and I like how it forces me to think more carefully about what room I enter and how to exit it. This game's really hard and I fell soooo many times lol. Great use of the theme, I really had a good time with this game!

Space Goats 2 by Tim Ruswick 2018-08-15T05:45:28Z

The story, art and dialogue were hilarious! I like that the different obstacles you ate delayed the monster differ amounts of time, however, as long as I ate everything I don't think it was possible to lose. This game gave me a good laugh, great work!

Chill Daddy by guilhermesouza 2018-08-15T07:36:30Z

Wonderful graphics and really heartwarming story! I really loved the artwork and how it conveyed the emotions of the characters! The mechanics were nice and simple but effective although the attacking directions didn't seem to work right for me. Sometimes attack in a different direction still got rid of the sharks and other times it didn't. The music was also very lovely and added to the mood quite a bit! Great work!

Binary Garbage Separation by Nehvis 2018-08-13T06:35:11Z

Nice premise and music! It was pretty challenging to do with the keyboard but I enjoyed it. The little story bit at the start really set up the atmosphere really nicely, I felt like I was really in a garbage separation facility lol. Fun game!

Emissary by Handle 2018-08-15T21:40:54Z

Presentation and graphics were nice, great use of the theme. Took me a while to figure out how to charge up the bomb properly, it almost felt random. It was very intense having the ground fall from underneath you with the core of the planet burning in the background. Nicely done!

Dodge and pray by mAnimal 2018-08-16T21:51:00Z

Nice game! It was really tricky to dodge the bullets when that monster got close to you. Also, I really like the sound effects, they added a lot to the fun! Good job!

Evolucity - Build as high as you can! by Mazzletov 2018-08-15T07:13:34Z

That was a very funny game! Sleek graphical presentation and very amusing mechanic! I found it really difficult to place buildings down when I made it to the 3rd level. When things topple over it makes it very difficult to know exactly where you can place things. Other than that this was a really cool game, great work!

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-15T19:28:55Z

Great job! I absolutely love the graphics, looks fantastic! Having each building take up a different number of tiles in different configurations made for some interesting strategies for placing them. Sometimes I got a bad set of tiles but it was very easy to start another game and try again. Great use of the theme and a really polished experience. Very nice!

Sliders by aplite 2018-08-15T19:44:51Z

Nice use of the theme with the destructible floor tiles. It started getting really trick with the green cubes later on especially coupled with other red balls. Having to consider two different positions in the level really creates an interesting challenge. Simple and straightforward, very nice!

Acreage by pomb 2018-08-14T02:13:49Z

Great game! I really love the art style. Having to choose between optimizing star tiles and environment ones within the limited space was very dynamic and challenging! Those boot tiles really come in hand for chaining together some nice turns, I enjoyed that part the most. I feel like some music would have upped the charm of this even more but other than that it was really well done!

Memory Exception by rvenson 2018-08-14T05:16:33Z

I really like the story you got going on between the tasks that need to be done for the computer and the user waiting for their programs to load. Very simple gameplay that works really well! I did have some trouble getting the 3 yellow blocks to RAM, the timing is very tight on that part. Overall a very solid game!

Falling Ecosystem by sprvrn 2018-08-14T06:38:14Z

That was really fun! The graphics are fantastic and you used the theme really well! It was a bit confusing at first until I saw the tooltip for the heart and then things became more clear making it much easier to progress. I think there's a lot of potential for something bigger. That was a really enjoyable experience!

Export Corp. by r3c0d3r 2018-08-15T17:58:01Z

Cool idea for a resource management game! It took me a while to fully understand what was happening as I didn't notice I had to be placing boxes into the export area. I was getting points regardless which is what confused me. But I do like the idea of transferring them to the dangerous area in the middle before dealing with them the following day. Pretty good use of the theme and I loved the music! Great job!

grOw by Sokuaisushi 2018-08-13T06:51:25Z

Amazing use of the theme and really great graphics! I especially love the way you set up the rotating laser room to show that you can push blocks around to progress through the level. I found it kinda cute how the orb grows and then pops lol. Great job!

Feed Us by El-Metallico 2018-08-15T19:37:15Z

Amazing graphics! The artwork added so much to the moon especially the creepy game over screen. Controlling the hand was difficult and I wasn't sure how to satisfy the customers. When I gave them the food they asked for they just threw it away. A bit confusing to understand but there's definitely some cool stuff going on here! Good job!

Noah's Help! by Ian Kettlewell 2018-08-15T03:30:11Z

Such a cute game! I really love the artwork of the animals and the theme's pretty solid here. The different sounds the animals make when you pick them up was a nice touch too! I'm currently on the 3 giraffes and 5 lions level and it currently has me stumped, but I'm gunna go back to it now to finish it up. Super relaxing game, easy to lose track of time playing. Lovely game!

Bookbinding by caeonosphere 2018-08-15T00:46:07Z

Loved it! Great use of the theme for both running out of letters to work with and running out of space on the book shelf. I found it pretty difficult but I don't think that's an issue at all, my vocabulary isn't the greatest lol! The graphical presentation along with the music made it very relaxing even though there was time pressure. Amazing work!

Sakaven Simimulator by T8kk 2018-08-15T19:03:46Z

Very nice visuals! I was reminded a lot of Lemmings when playing this, leading my army to their victory/doom. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I'm not sure where the theme fits into this. Is it just that the sheer amount of enemies spawning makes it hard to progress? Other than that it was pretty nice to play through, good job!

Tunnel Ride by Xyntell 2018-08-13T08:02:26Z

That was really great! I loved the effect of the walls closing in on you and becoming a tunnel. The screen shake was nice to give the shots more weight, although it did start making me dizzy the longer I played. Nice, simple, great use of the theme. Good job!

Running out of Space by Gaoyuan Chen 2018-08-13T08:14:29Z

Amazing game! I really like how you used the space bar as both the literal take on the theme and incorporated it into the physical space of the playing field. It was really fun to try and beat the falling blocks when things started getting hectic. The little story going on the right side was a nice touch! Very innovative take on action puzzler and typing game, great stuff!

Full Grave Panic!!! (Compo) by Ittinop 2018-08-13T07:44:54Z

This game is amazing! I love the graphics and the concept! Kudos on putting a tutorial in there that nicely explains the mechanics. I feel like the beginning of the game is fairly challenging since you can't generate gold quick enough forcing you to consider where to put graves and flowers. As the game went on I found myself just filling up spaces for houses and butchers to prevent coffins from spawning. It started to get a bit too easy by the end but I am super impressed that you got this much done in such a short amount of time! You nailed the theme, fantastic game!

This is how far I got before I stopped.

Book Crook! by Ossi 2018-08-13T18:16:38Z

@aret24 @erendelous @pedro-m-marangon Thanks!

@pomb I thought about putting a tooltip indicator giving you a sense of how valuable your choices were but I settled on just color coding them for the sake of time. The brown ones are the cheapest and have the smallest random price range, the blue ones are expensive and have a more consistent random price range, and the green ones have a price range that varies wildly. Thanks for the feedback!

@mrjorts I really enjoyed the idea myself too! I really wanted to have it be more more action based with your choices but alas the time constraint. Thanks for the comment!

@remco Yea, I wish I had time to add those two features in. I always seem to go with the randomization of silly names to put more amusement into the game and counter-balance the "just clicking on stuff" vibe. Thanks for your feedback!

Book Crook! by Ossi 2018-08-14T22:07:28Z

@sokuaisushi Thanks!

@karlipoppins Unfortunately with the randomness it's almost impossible to get enough cheap books to have them in the Top 3. They were meant as a way to slow you down but I didn't get around to adding the timer. Thank you so much for your comment!

@dark-roast-studios Yea, more mechanics were planned but alas the time constraint got me. Thank you for the comment!

@caeonosphere Books are amazing! I shall check out your game later, thanks for the comment!

@r3c0d3r If I could have managed to get the timer and shelf respawning mechanic in then it wouldn't have come down to just taking all books. Thanks for the feedback, these are really good ideas!

@gwinnell I just got a web build up. My first time using the new WebGL stuff in Unity, I always had a rough time with it before. If you get a chance to play it let me know what you think!

Book Crook! by Ossi 2018-08-15T04:12:57Z

@jimbly Thanks for the feedback! You're right about the strategy, it's all just random in the game's current state. I like your suggestions too, your stash was supposed to be the limiter but I like the idea of a satchel size per bookshelf. Forcing you to take books you don't want at the end of the timer is a funny way of doing that ahaha!

Book Crook! by Ossi 2018-08-15T17:13:24Z

@endurion For sure, I have a better sense of what to do with the game now. Thanks for your comment!

@candlesan Yea, the total is calculating the total value of all the books you've collected. Thank you for the kind words!

@t8kk There is no lose state, you just try and get the highest price you can. The cheaper books and the swiping to identify the book's value were intentionally there to slow you down but since I couldn't get around to adding the timer it's ultimately pointless. Thank you for your kind words!

@awix Thanks for the comment! I shall try your game later!

@el-metallico The value of the books are decided by color which are shown on the title screen. The prices themselves are a bit randomized and I didn't have enough time to show them as you collect. Thanks for commenting!

@jsmcag You're right, in it's current state the game is pretty thin and entirely random. I like the idea of having book thickness play a part. Great idea! Thanks for the feedback!

@aplite Scrolling books/bookshelves sounds like a great idea, never thought of that! Yes, I wish I had more time to get in the timer at least. Thanks for the feedback!

Book Crook! by Ossi 2018-08-16T20:58:39Z

@nick-rafalski I'm glad you liked it, thank you!

@incobalt @bismark So many good ideas, thanks for the feedback!

Cup Space by itsjustjord 2018-08-13T04:27:31Z

This is a really funny game lol! It was really difficult to keep stacking when I got around the 4300 score mark but I had a really good laugh when most of the cups fell off the table as soon as the game was over. I lost 300 points and couldn't do anything about it! Very silly!

DON'T RUN OUT OF SPACE by Paden Shorey 2018-08-13T03:27:17Z

This is really cool! Very simple concept and good execution on the theme but I think the art style is what did it for me the most. I really enjoyed the whiteboard sound effects too ahaha!

Butterfly Catching by felixnemis 2018-08-13T03:54:17Z

This game's really addicting! I spent like 10 minutes playing it trying to catch the shiny butterflies. I really like the challenge of keeping the platforms safe while trying to put yourself in a good position. Solid use of the theme and a pretty fun game loop!

My only gripe is that you sometimes get stuck on the corners connecting the bridge and platforms. If the collision on those were rounded a bit it might feel a bit smoother to navigate. Great job!

My High Score!

Never run out of SPACE: a ZIP folders journey by Swini 2018-08-15T00:54:40Z

I really like the intro section, you set up the story really well! I found it a bit difficult to react to some of the later data obstacles, there's not enough space to move as you see them so I had to restart a bunch just to get by one obstacle. It does fit in very well with the theme so it's certainly a job well done! Congrats on your first Ludum Dare, good job!

Popcorn Mayhem by Cary Stanley 2018-08-14T05:23:35Z

That was adorable! The theme, graphics and humor were great! I really like how you can use the popcorn itself as a moving platform to help you out provided you aren't on the wrong side of it. And those cats getting buried by the popcorn was hilariously cute! :smiley_cat: The controls do feel a bit sluggish and jumping on and off stairs is somewhat difficult, but I enjoyed this game a lot. Congrats on your first Ludum Dare and great job!

Space Debris by Mallapa 2018-08-13T06:43:43Z

Congrats on your first game! I found it amusing when I realized I could turn around as I was flying, in these kinds of games you typically only shoot up. It was a very nice surprise! The music was very cute too. It was a little bit hard to see the theme in this, even though the falling debris impeded my movement I ultimately lost because I accidentally bumped into stuff as I was aligning myself to shoot. Well done!

Bus Mayhem by artbohr 2018-08-14T04:00:02Z

You used the theme really well here, I like how you get pushed back even further if you mess up the timing. My only real gripe is that there are too many enemies spawning so even if you time it perfectly your progress sometimes gets reset if you randomly get a long timer on the bar. Nice and simple, well done!

A Way Out by sdrrv 2018-08-13T07:55:09Z

Congrats on your first published game! I really liked how you put special hit markers on the wall to make it more challenging to hit. I initially tried spamming shots until I realized I needed to be a bit more accurate. I like the push and pull between having to dodge the red balls and collect the blue ones, it makes it so you can't just go on autopilot with the movement and have to adjust depending on what is coming your way. Good use of the theme, great job!

Anstorm by ShivArt 2018-08-15T04:28:03Z

Great art style and use of the theme! I really loved how dynamic the play area was and those moments where the enemies have you cornered are intense! Audio was a bit repetitive but I had a lot of fun playing! Good job!

Temple Dungeon 42 by BetelgeuseMan 2018-08-15T04:59:57Z

Nice idea! The randomization of the level adds some neat twists although for me the majority of my time was spent going down in mostly a straight line to make it to the portal. The art style is pretty great, loved the turn based feel to it! Congrats on your first Ludum Dare entry, good job!

stROLL by jerripo 2018-08-14T05:31:15Z

I really like the concept a lot! Nice use of the theme having the lines you draw persist between levels. It also makes the game extremely difficult especially combined with the way St.Roll bounces around. It's really hard to control! But even so it made the game really funny bouncing around in unexpected directions! Well done!

Utter Space by snakemuho 2018-08-14T04:11:00Z

Very nice! The shooting felt really good! I noticed that if you didn't move at all and just held the shoot button down you could get pretty far if the black holes didn't spawn in front of you. However, once the game started to speed up I had to move again, so my strategy didn't last for very long! Congrats on your first full videogame too, good job!

DEFRAG by jdhollen 2018-08-14T07:04:16Z

Really neat idea and a good take on the theme. I found the game pretty difficult and did really poorly ahah!

Zero Grace Megadrive by triplefox 2018-08-15T05:28:50Z

That was great! Loved the art style and music. Mixing mechanics of light cycles with jumping was really nice. It was very difficult to make the jumps until I realized you can change direction midair to control your distance more effectively. So well executed and polished, loved it!

BattleField King by The Cyber Admin Team 2018-08-15T04:32:59Z

Interesting idea! I discovered that it's easier to have them chase you so that you can rubber band them out of the arena than it was to shoot them. The movement of the characters was so fast it made for some hilarious situations that I couldn't stop laughing at! I had a good time, well done!

GravDriftr by shellbot 2018-08-14T05:50:31Z

This game's great! I really love the graphics and just how fast everything moves when things start to get going. It was a bit to control the ship as more gravity wells showed up but there was a good sense of intensity that made it very exciting to play! Amazing!

LD45 — Start with nothing

Grow quickly by congusbongus 2019-10-09T07:42:34Z

A really tough but very fun game! Cute artwork and music! The different states of the plants really add a lot of frantic tension to the game and the birds certainly don't help matters! This is a really great game, I love it!

The Howler by Noa Calice 2019-10-09T07:17:42Z

What a strange experience but a really great one at the same time. I really love your art style and how you use simple mechanics to portray a grotesquely interesting atmosphere. Great job!

Ludum Dare 45 by Trypants 2019-10-09T07:28:16Z

I really like the idea and the graphics but it's really hard to pick up the resources to fuel the altar. Also the music seems to cut out when I try and break the rocks. I think there's a really cool idea here, well done!

SHOCK by Ossi 2019-10-07T17:32:40Z

@notgreat Yea, unfortunately getting a solid set of levels was tough with the time limit. The global lives system was thrown in at the last second because like you said, just turning everything off was always the solution so I wanted there to be some kind of risk behind it. I was going to have Zappers that toggled on/off different zap fields to have more of an action aspect to it. Also a timer may have gave the levels a more urgent feeling, which may have allowed for you to make more mistakes and feel more pressured to go faster. And yea, the theme was based around having to figure out how to collect the sparks (since you don't start with them) without losing but with how I designed the levels they're fairly trivial. Thanks for taking the time to comment and give feedback! Much appreciated!

In the beginning by SnufkinsHat 2019-10-07T00:09:32Z

I like the story telling aspect with the text at the top of the screen. Combined with the art style it had an interesting atmosphere. Good job!

Egg Farm by kuviman 2019-10-09T07:22:38Z

I like your take on the theme! Having to micromanage the food you eat and where you place the fertilized soil gave it a lot more depth than I was expecting! The help bubble at the bottom left was greatly appreciated too :P Good job!

Yogurt's Quest by Aurailus 2019-10-07T00:24:15Z

Beautiful game! I really loved the art style and the animations! Starting the game off bullet hell style was pretty tough ahaha! Even though some of the jumps were really scary they were satisfying once I got them down and the fading in of the platforms was a nice use of the theme! The ending was adorable too! Yogurt and Pudding are cute dog names <3

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-09T05:25:22Z

Neat game! I like the idea of balancing your health with the development of the game, this makes the experience way too real ahaha! It was a bit disorienting for me when the cards got shuffled, but I got used to that eventually. I really enjoyed the art a lot, great work!

Mr.Grind by iozsaygi 2019-10-07T00:44:58Z

This is surprisingly addicting and having the truck be on a timer really keeps you focused on how many clicks you need to get in before it arrives. It's a small twist but it feels fresh and I think that's a great thing for a genre where you mostly want to automate the entire thing. Good job!

A Quiet Realm by Tobias Froihofer 2019-10-07T00:58:12Z

Very cute game! I really like the fact that you can see the other planets you can travel to while running around! Adorable intro sequence too! Good job!

Nothing To The Moon by badoomtch 2019-10-07T00:03:24Z

Cute game! I really like the meta use of the word "nothing." The story that was going on made it all the more charming!

Egg Problem by Bry 2019-10-07T00:36:12Z

A cute and simple tower defense game! I really liked how each bird had it's own intro animation as they set themselves around the path. It started off pretty tough but by the end I was spamming so many birds it was hilarious! Really nice art as well, I really enjoyed the egg running animations!

7 Days by AppoxGames 2019-10-09T07:09:48Z

Wow! What a great visual style! While the watering mechanic was a bit hard to get used to at first it's a pretty cool way of directing the tree branch by branch. Great job!

A Field of Flowers by KeithSwanger 2019-10-09T07:36:40Z

Absolutely beautiful game! Cute pixel art and soothing music all in line with the theme! I really loved the growing animations! This was a real treat, amazing work!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Legacy Survivors by quill18 2022-04-06T18:48:58Z

Really great take on the theme! Even with just a few simple abilities you created so much variety and replayability it's super impressive. Very addicting little game, great work!

Belecint by unpronounceable 2022-04-08T23:46:44Z

A very simple and clever idea! I like how splitting each arc of the circle creates a dynamic difficulty depending on what order you click them. Also a really nice touch with the sound effects, with quick clicks it's almost like I'm making music. Great work!

Collapsn't by Elendow 2022-04-05T03:03:29Z

TyPing Pong by Gao Ming 2022-04-05T03:13:05Z

First off, THE TUTORIAL WAS SO GOOD! The ball falling down to exit the tutorial blew my mind LOL!

The amount of polish and juice this game has is amazing! You really made every aspect of typing words feel good, and there is something so satisfying about that bouncing ball every single time you hit enter. That was an incredible typing experience! Great work!

JUGGERNAUT by cogcomp 2022-04-07T20:39:16Z

I think even though speed balancing might help the controls of the ship I was still having a blast going FULL SPEED! I felt like Sonic hitting those speed boosts and nearly flying off screen! Nice game!

THE BLOODGEON by chaoclypse 2022-04-05T03:22:22Z

This is really slick! The art style, the movement of the character and the intensity of the health/time limit really make it really fun to play. You did a really fantastic job!

Flooded Caves by nusan 2022-04-04T05:24:05Z

I really enjoyed this. The music was hypnotizing! It was really tricky trying to guide the water around while saving everyone but I really enjoyed the challenge, especially on the harder difficulty. Great work!

Warming up! by notnasiul 2022-04-04T05:53:49Z

This game is so charming! The artwork is great, the connection with the theme is great, and it's pretty challenging too! I really like the idea of sacrificing some platform height to get out of a tight situation. It really makes the impact of the sinking more meaningful. Amazing work!

Marin and The Sinking Kingdom by boaheck-artgent 2022-04-07T23:08:53Z

Lovely game! I really like the art a lot! The mechanic of using the same object for multiple things like holding switches down or to get more height is always fun for puzzle solving. Great work!

Battle Cards by sirikan 2022-04-05T04:12:11Z

I managed to survive for 17 turns! Interesting balance of resource generation and combat priority. Certainly with more time the variety of cards and strategies could be fleshed out, but this is a really nice base to start from! Well done!

Orbles by Rongo Matane 2022-04-11T22:32:35Z

It took a few tries but when it finally clicked I was hooked! I really like the daisy-chain mechanic of getting your workers to gather and pass off the resources from one to another. It really gave me an "ant simulator" type vibe which I love. It was pretty difficult but once I optimized making soldiers it started to become a lot more manageable. The art and the music are great! Probably the longest time I've spent playing one game jam game so far!

Pass The Torch by Dan Smith 2022-04-07T21:11:56Z

First off, congrats on your first game jam submission! It's really tough to create a full experience in such a short amount of time. And honestly it's extremely impressive what you've made here in that timeframe.

I really loved the visuals. Mixed with the ominous music it really added so much power to the mood and is probably the most stand out thing for me here. Even though there wasn't as much in the way of gameplay the idea of passing on the torch to continue the journey is a really nice touch that to me is more story than gameplay. Being able to see who was traveling with you really added to the sense that making it out together was just as important as making it out alive yourself.

Amazing game!

Soak 'Em Out by Cruise Elroy 2022-04-04T22:43:59Z

Everything about this game is great! The art is so good and the music is incredibly catchy! The retro throwback to Game & Watch is so great and it honestly makes me inspired to try making a game like this in the future. You really did a fantastic job on this! I love it!

Whispers Of The Heart by landosilva 2022-04-07T21:53:14Z

Absolutely amazing! The style, art, presentation, music and atmosphere were perfect. And as an added bonus, having other people put in their message for the next player is a really sweet way to make you feel like you have had an impact beyond just your own experience. Which from a metaphorical perspective is how I saw the game's message. I loved every minute of it, great job!

Ydunian Prune by MateusBoga 2022-04-05T05:10:49Z

What an unbelievably charming game! The art is beautiful and the music really sets the mood so perfectly. I love all the little story bits as you progress through the game, and all the events really add a lot of life into this world even though you're just looking at a tree. The background changing as you upgraded stuff was a really nice touch too.

The only thing I would want is a way to upgrade multiple times at once, since getting into the 1000's made it a bit tedious to get to the next noticeable boost in gathering speed. I really loved playing this, amazing job!

Doom's Peak by zantze 2022-04-06T00:31:50Z

The bonk sound effect combined with the death screen was just so funny to me for some reason ahaha! Really lovely game! I like how the snowboarder feels to control. Having to take a risk to go for a big trick not knowing when the next tree or rock will just show up was very tense and exciting. I got a lot of fun and laughter out of this game. Great job!

Even though I was at risk of freezing to death I did enjoy the cozy vibe of being out in the cool wilderness, fishing, gathering wood, and surviving. It did take me a while to notice that you need to click on the X's to chop the trees but once I knew that everything went well! Great work!

Can I Win as a Lv. 1 Slime? -underdog rising- by johjoh 2022-04-04T23:35:42Z

This was a really charming game. The dialogue was very amusing and a pretty neat design idea having each playthrough's progression rely on information from the last. Good work!

If you try hard enough, you can win. by Rxbbie 2022-04-06T04:06:58Z

A really well polished game! I love that loot just drops like crazy and as the enemies spawn faster it makes the whole experience very chaotic and fun! Great work!

Wormy by PetTurtle 2022-04-05T03:55:00Z

This game is so addicting! I love how the worm feels to move and all of the different items and their effects are really interesting to experiment with. Using mines to boost myself forward saved me so many times! I really like the generated terrain too, that keeps things fresh for longer. Amazing work!

lose95 by Sulo 2022-04-11T20:21:57Z

What an incredible game! The graphics, sound, gameplay and unique twist of roguelike genre is so well done! It's so dang polished it would have been hard for me to tell it was a game jam game had I not known it ahead of time. Fantastic work across the board! I loved it!

Volcano by ABRDs 2022-04-06T04:18:18Z

I didn't think a volcano could be this cute! Once I realized I could bundle multiple objects together for one big offering I was like "OMG IT'S FIRST-PERSON KATAMARI!" This was a real blast to play. Amazing work!

I Wanna Be Awake for This by Sererena 2022-04-04T06:02:56Z

Hex'd by Paroxysmal 2022-04-05T02:36:04Z

I find it interesting how the balance of trying to delay the transformation changes the paths you take throughout the levels. Very adorable little platformer!

Immune System "Engineer" - Can you Delay the Inevitable Skin Breach? by Aarimous 2022-04-06T18:36:05Z

This game is amazing! Really simple to understand and fun to play. It started getting really crazy as more cells were on screen and gave me a similar feeling to clutching out a block clear in Tetris. Great job!

PlantBad CO. by KewDev 2022-04-04T05:47:18Z

I really like how the story ties into the gameplay elements. This game really makes you appreciate lunch breaks lol. Great job!

Keep It Up! by iDunnyX 2022-04-07T22:34:30Z

I really like the strategy of using the lowest balloon to just boop the ones above it even higher. It lets me keep two balloons up at once which makes things a lot easier as more balloons spawn in. Great little game, I had fun!

Last Day of Serenity Orbital Station by Glayson 2022-04-06T00:04:05Z

The ship feels good to control and the graphics are really clean! I managed to save 68 pods and I had a good time doing it. Nice game!

That was a fun and adorable game! Really well done!

Heat by Wuppos 2022-04-07T22:27:17Z

It started off nice and easy and got crazy real quick! I like the balancing act of choosing to either save someone or put out a fire. I found myself saving by priority of who was the most hurt then putting out fires in between those moments. It was a real challenge and I had a fun time! Good work!

Cup Half Full by BangTheWall 2022-04-04T22:33:41Z

Fantastic game! It's so goofy and fun! It's always so tough to finish a complete game on such a short timeframe but this really feels complete and I can just keep playing it forever!

a by mdnr 2022-04-04T06:20:09Z

Very cute idle game! I love ants a lot so this was a real treat to play. The animations on those ants look so cute and the lyrics to the song omg! Great work!

Outrun The Sun by lb01 2022-04-05T04:23:56Z

A really well done kart racer! I love the rover/sun concept and the AI racers were hilarious to compete against!

Tick Tock by Mandytoh 2022-04-04T22:05:59Z

Could have used mouse over highlighting to make it clear what was interactable but overall it was nicely done! The mood and atmosphere was really good, helped a lot by the wonderful art and subtle music cues. Good job!

B-Game by squaxcom 2022-04-07T21:19:22Z

This is so adorable! I'm glad you put a little owl friend to help guide me cause it would have been tough to navigate with so many bees everywhere! I really like the graphics a lot, it feels very SNES and that makes me very happy! The bee facts between levels were really cute too! Great work!

Over the Rainbow Bridge by Iguanana 2022-04-06T00:41:43Z

Dungeon Crawl by jzucc12 2022-04-06T00:13:56Z

I really enjoyed this a lot! I'm super impressed at how many options you had going through the dungeon and the amount of variety there was going through it for multiple playthroughs. It has a nice atmosphere too with the ambient music you chose. I really liked it, great job!

Venting Machine by EmberUshi 2022-04-06T01:02:50Z

Love that art style and color palette choice! I would have never thought punching and kicking a vending machine would be so much fun lol. Great work!

Out of Time by SolidSLR 2022-04-07T20:50:16Z

I find this game interesting because it's boiled down to the base mechanics. You roam around collecting time while navigating an ever changing landscape. I really like abstract games like this just because you get to see the core loop without too much fluff.

I think what would benefit a game like this is having the player's speed slowly increase either over time or after collecting the green squares. This way it creates a sense of progression, rewards the player's skill but also makes it more challenging by increasing the odds you will run into an obstacle.

This was a really enjoyable game for me! Good work!

Gemship Wars by darzu 2022-04-05T02:56:22Z

I made it to a distance of 48! I really liked the shooting/hitting sound effects. It really made it feel a lot more musical and calming than I was anticipating. Cute game!

Guardian of the Sand by EverythingIsBacon 2022-04-05T03:39:58Z

Cute game! I really like the art style a lot and those adorable crabs! I did run into what I think is a bug, if you spam click a full bucket of sand you can make infinite walls. Honestly might be a good addition for a powerup to balance out the difficulty of choosing between building walls vs repairing your sand castle. Good job!

Not Enough Time: The Game by Marianoa213 2022-04-04T06:06:59Z
