LD22 — Alone

Alone at Ludum Dare by Darien 2011-12-21T20:01:00

It is more like two hours and forty minutes of work, which is what I had left after it was clear to me that my other game wasn't going to work out.

Had I posted my other project, you'd get a black screen that says "Option 4 / Option 2 / Option 3" on it. But thanks for the feedback!

LD23 — Tiny World

Nineties Holywood Hacker by Casino Jack 2012-04-24T21:15:00

There's a lot of promise here, to be sure. The basic concept of building your "hacking route" and then flying through it is quite interesting, though I found that many of the mobs take far too many shots to kill, which gets a bit dull after a few rooms. The time before the coins despawn could do with some lengthening, too; if you kill a mob at long range, it's sometimes not even possible to collect the coin even if you fly straight towards it.

Tiny Maze Speedrun by netmute 2012-04-24T21:47:00

I can verify that this runs in Opera as well. It's a pretty fun game; I might suggest that the timer not start running until the player actually moves, though, since it can be a bit hard to pick out the player sprite at the beginning of the game.

Robots Are Red, Violets Are Blue by David Durham 2012-04-23T19:32:00

I managed to get a positive score, but I ended up standing in one place for the last 20s of the game because I knew if I moved I'd break more stuff. :-)

ACTION SCIENCE DOG by bburbank 2012-04-23T20:22:00

Good stuff, though I notice the world updates for several frames following a bark -- this can be a bit tricky to get used to.

Combat Cube by rhburrows 2012-04-24T21:34:00

It's pretty hard, since the AI is happy to play chicken with you all day. I think the only time I managed to kill one was when he was locked fighting another dude, and so I had a free shot. :-D

Boundaries by jeffreybiles 2012-04-26T01:05:00

I liked it! Reminds me of the "Monkey Fight" party game from the Super Monkey Ball series. It does seem to run a bit badly for me (Opera 11.62/Win32), periodically freezing for a few seconds. The impact sound is also delayed a bit.

Tiny Dream by Kendja 2012-04-23T19:48:00

Transitioning from the second sideways orange screen to the first upside-down green screen, I fell through the "floor" and had to restart.

Fracuum by TylerGlaiel 2012-05-14T03:11:00

Fun stuff! Nothing useful to add to what others have said; just wanted to let you know I enjoyed it. :-)

El Petit Messi by Zener 2012-04-24T21:25:00

It's a bit hard to hit the mobs with the ball; seems more a matter of luck than anything else. Also, I don't know if this is intentional, but sometimes I just suddenly stop moving to the side. Pretty fun idea overall, though! Super Mario Strikers has nothing on you. ;-)

Delirium by Puccini 2012-04-26T00:59:00

Pretty fun start, though it could do without the full-screen flash whenever you collect a pill. Sadly, had to rate you down, though, since you didn't make the graphics.

Tiny Ranger by Monkey Armada 2012-04-24T21:43:00

I love the graphics and sound, and the gameplay's off to a good start -- I ran into one Sucker, though, that kept blinking in and out of existence depending on where I was standing. Made it a bit tough to shoot.

Astrosurf by Jimjam 2012-04-24T21:31:00

Right-clicking on the web version is problematic; prefers to open the Unity properties rather than actually shoot a vine. At which point I have to start over. But I like the idea quite a bit -- it's like playing golf with the universe. :-D

Mini-Worlds and Monocles by Zed 2012-04-23T19:27:00

Good fun. Learning to play the bounces off the bad guys was interesting. And I definitely appreciated the "gentlemanly upgrades" for high scores!

Petri-Dish Survival by Rex Peppers 2012-04-24T22:04:00

I like it. The green eyeball-y monster reminds me a lot of "It" from Gauntlet 2. :-)

Space Bear by madflame991 2012-04-24T20:55:00

It's a bit frustrating not having any idea where the trees are; the core gameplay is pretty fun, but it seems relatively random whether or not you'll survive long enough to get all the stars.

Tiny Adventures In SPACE by Jacic 2012-04-24T21:56:00

The ending got a laugh, I'll admit. It's a decent start, but could do with a bit more challenge; increasing the spawn rate on the obstacles wouldn't be a bad idea by itself.

I want to turn the heater on by Andrew 2012-04-26T01:15:00

Excellent concept! I was totally confused by the fish, since I also got the pot just by warping behind the guy, but I did it by accident -- I was all the way to the left while warping passed through that board, and suddenly had a pot in my hand.

Also, does the lever / ball-and-chain room do anything? I must have missed it.

Dessert Planet by Darien 2012-04-23T20:13:00

Thanks, everybody! Glad you're all enjoying it. Also: too many doughnuts? What madness is this?? ;-)

Dessert Planet by Darien 2012-04-24T04:56:00

I was hoping for that effect. :-D

Dessert Planet by Darien 2012-04-24T22:00:00

The rectangular window is intentional -- my thinking was that a wider field of vision to the sides would give the player a great impetus to keep rotating all the time rather than staying still.

Thanks for the feedback! Perhaps I should flash the player sprite to indicate powerups are about to run out.

Dessert Planet by Darien 2012-04-26T20:50:00

Hi guys! Thanks again for all the feedback. Just to let you know where I am right now: the Android port is up and running, and once I get the kinks out of it, I'm going to be adding a few more features (such as persistence across sessions, so your high scores don't reset every time you play), and then I'll do another balancing pass incorporating much of the feedback I'm getting.

Invasion Of The Trivials by RobProductions 2012-04-24T22:08:00

I like it, and it looks good; I would greatly appreciate an "invert Y-axis" option, though.

Tiny Epic by jerp 2012-04-26T00:48:00

Couldn't get it to work; the error returned was just "unable to start application," so there wasn't even much for me to troubleshoot.

Shake it up! by Tommyno222 2012-04-23T20:11:00

Very good; graphics are outstanding, though I agree with the other comments that the full-screen white flash is a bit over-the-top. Also, getting shocked on level 2 causes the large black areas to display a status code for a second; is that intentional? Level 2 also seems to think there are only three total crumbs, when (I believe) there are eight.

Other than that, though, great job!

Escape from Minimars by Adhesion 2012-04-26T00:45:00

I like it. Did find a bit of a bug, though -- I fell out of the level on the right side of level seven, but I didn't die. I just ended up falling out of the level and couldn't do anything but quit.

The Last Colony by Wyzfen 2012-04-24T21:20:00

It's a good start, to be sure.

DEREK by ChubbyBalboa 2012-04-26T00:54:00

A kick animation would be very helpful; I thought it just wasn't working for quite a while. Also, I couldn't get the "stun" move to work at all.

Rat Conquest by Canard Sauvage 2012-04-24T22:20:00

I concur that initial movement is too slow. Other than that, though, I liked it!

LD27 — 10 Seconds

Exocolony by Tange 2013-08-29T15:31:00

I love the idea. If you develop this further, you could have something really remarkable!

Panda Starvation by Mozzo 2013-08-29T13:24:00

Lots of promise here, but the field is so big and the fruit distribution so random that far too often there's just no chance of reaching enough fruit in time.

Speed Interrogating by Jezzamon 2013-09-08T08:02:00

I absolutely love the concept. Please develop this more! In practice, I found it really really confusing, but with a bit of work I think it would be a really great game.

Dungeon Deadline by Orni 2013-08-27T09:14:00

Oh, this is fun! Like everybody else, though, I found the final boss a bit too hard. I think one thing that would help, at least for the "fighter" character, is an autoswing rather than having to mouse at things to fight them.

The Thief Stealer Robberies by jwolf 2013-08-27T07:49:00

I didn't understand why sometimes I could open a door, and sometimes I would explode when I touched it.

10 Seconds Of Life by KaaPex 2013-08-29T01:11:00

It's a decent first game, and I love that there's a stat called "Freak." Still and all, my "mind" kept decreasing, and I couldn't find any actions that would restore it.

Quickly, Onwards by drmanitoba 2013-08-29T14:02:00

It's a neat idea. Sadly, the theme is definitely detrimental to the game; requiring each choice to be made within ten seconds forces the player to rush through the dialogue.

Ten Second Ninja by Clurect 2013-08-29T01:06:00

Reminds me of Yoshi's Fruit Cart a bit. Not bad! A "restart" button for when you lose would be nice to have.

Regular Dungeon by Syawra 2013-08-29T10:33:00

I couldn't get this game to work at all. I tried it in both Opera and Chrome, and the applet would load correctly, but clicking on the "play" button did nothing at all.

Operation Big Bang by Ted Brown 2013-08-29T14:09:00

"Why take apart bombs when you can blow stuff up!?" My kind of game! :-D

It's a great concept, but in practice it often seems like I'm just hitting buttons at random. I think a longer time limit could really do wonders.

Second Legend by misson20000 2013-08-29T14:12:00

I get the error "could not find the main class" when I try to run it. Couldn't get the web or local version to work.

Time and Time Again by BrothersT 2013-08-29T12:56:00

Probably I'm just a dope, but I got absolutely *nowhere.* Lack of an "invert Y axis" option doesn't help; since time is so sharply limited, mousing the wrong way gets extra frustrating.

Also: your .zip file contains the executable with a .txt extension. Is that by design?

Ten 10-Second Seconds by Chrixeleon 2013-08-28T23:54:00

I like the minimalist graphics a lot. Main menu or no, I think it would be nice if the game didn't begin until it received input, since the applet didn't have focus when it first loaded and I lost my first life before I could even act. :-)

Bloody Bob by Zener 2013-08-29T01:19:00

Game looks great! I really like your graphic style. Also I appreciate how, in the first level, you're a little fish eating other fish, and then suddenly you're a monster devouring the city. Kind of like E.V.O. with a surprise twist. :-)

Mocap Guy by lekochen 2013-08-29T14:17:00

Good base here, and I really enjoyed the core mechanics, but the controls were difficult. RFV-UJM requires twisting at least one hand around in a really weird position. Maybe a more horizontal layout would be good; something like QWE-POI?

A Step by Hemuuuli 2013-08-29T11:51:00

The graphics and sound are nice, but there isn't very much game here; there's only one moment of interaction at all.

Clean Getaway by starfeesh 2013-08-29T12:17:00

Love the concept. The lasers seem really random as they are, since the laser-detect power is rather... unuseful. Also fun is that you can walk right into a guard and not get caught as long as you're not in his light beam. :-)

Bear Pong by tower07 2013-08-29T14:27:00

I have no idea why this is so great. But it is! BEAR TIME!

Only trouble is that, after bear time, the pong game is pretty much totally broken. The other paddle stops moving, maybe the ball stops moving -- pretty much doesn't work anymore. But I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard at a game.

Trigger Warning by Dark Arts and Sciences 2013-08-29T14:31:00

What's here seems to work more or less as advertised, but it's not much.

Macgoober by Richard Rice 2013-08-29T01:23:00

Not bad for eight hours. It would be nice to be able to restart the same level if you lose instead of going all the way back to the beginning.

Elevator Pitch by Back to Browse Entries 2013-08-29T14:46:00

I like the idea, but it all kind of comes to nothing in the end. It would be nice at least to have a total of money made/lost on the various investments.

Two minute mayhem by bvanschooten 2013-08-29T01:32:00

I really like this! The different weapons are great fun, and I love the graphics. Good work!

Everybody Loves the Fluffy Mania by Nangie 2013-08-29T15:09:00

Definitely doesn't seem to be working right. Did you hard-code a resolution?

Subject 127 by Dohan 2013-08-31T11:26:00

At first, this game seems like it'll be a Blackthorne update, but then later it turns into Super Meat Boy. Only trouble is the controls aren't all there; the fiddly jumping later in the game gets *really* frustrating. Also would be nice if you'd alias "retry" to space, since my hands are nowhere near the R key.

RUZH by syawqy 2013-08-29T08:38:00

Always nice to see more Flashpunks! :-)

Fun stuff; I like bullet hells, and you've done a pretty good job of balancing increasing firepower with increasing enemies. It runs just fine in Opera, though I echo the people who said it would be nice if it were a bit larger.

Astro Nomics by NgonGames 2013-08-27T08:01:00

I'm not sure I really get it. It would be nice to have an indicator of my remaining health, since it kind of seems like game overs happen randomly.

The limits of light by agmcleod 2013-08-29T01:37:00

24.075 seconds to completion for me! It's a fun little game, though I'm not sure I'm sold on the sound you make when you hit a trap.

Flooded Dungeons by ripatti 2013-08-27T08:06:00

Really fun stuff here. I love how the water gradually floods in when you run out of time, instead of just being an instant-lose. It would be nice maybe if you don't automatically take the stairs whenever you step on them, since sometimes there's money on the other side. :-)

Escape From The Temple of Eternal Dooom by Joror 2013-08-30T09:06:00

The interface is a bit cumbersome, but it's a neat game with a really unusual premise.

Slow cowboy by lun 2013-08-29T01:46:00

The hit detection seems way off; I get killed by aliens when they aren't very close to me. It would also be nice to have a visible indication of the level borders instead of just bumping into an invisible wall. But it's a good start, and I like the concept of being the slowest gun in the west. :-)

Knight Time by mechagk 2013-08-29T13:05:00

The hit detection on attacking enemies seems a bit off; sometimes I swear I'm hitting them, but I end up getting bounced way back anyhow.

Host by Darzoz 2013-08-29T01:50:00

Really great concept, and looks good too! The only nitpick I have is that moving with A and D is a bit of a pain for lefties, since our hands are crushed together; it would be nice to have arrow keys as an alias. But definitely really fun!

Once upon a flight by infinitedog 2013-08-29T14:52:00

I've downloaded the .jar, but it seems neither to run nor to return any error at all.

Watch and Solve by VagabondEx 2013-08-29T01:54:00

It took me a few tries to figure out what to do; the "symbols" bar on the right implies that you'll be dragging those cards onto the play field, or perhaps pressing keys to select them, and I had to play it a few times before I realised that I was supposed to click the squares in order.

Time Frame by Random Seed Games 2013-08-29T15:00:00

I don't know what I was doing wrong, but the game would let me strafe left and right but not move forward and backward.

Fuse by AxeTheory 2013-08-29T11:56:00

I really like the cumulative timer. It's an interesting twist, having to go back to old levels and optimise them to get more time for the later levels.

Ten Second Evasion by atrodo 2013-08-29T15:23:00

It's a great base for a puzzle game. It would be a huge help if there were some clear indicator of which pieces had already been placed; there are already boxes there, maybe just place checks or dots in them to show they're used.

I HATE AIRCON by Wuhao 2013-08-29T08:43:00

The theme isn't that strongly represented here, but the graphics are very nice, and the interface is well-made -- even a volume control!

Like a Lamb by dook 2013-08-29T15:06:00

Graphics are fantastic! I love the combination of 3D world and hand-drawn models.

Ten Magic Seconds by jcmoyer 2013-08-29T00:52:00

It's a good basis for a jumpy-shooty; rather reminds me of Hocus Pocus, except a bit less forgiving. :-)

Space Janitor: Custodial Marine by radmars 2013-08-29T00:44:00

Really fun game! I'm impressed! I agree that the theme seems pretty tacked-on, though. Also I noticed two bugs:

-- The music sometimes skips very badly, which is grating.

-- In the "mainframe" area, I was able to get outside the level boundaries, and I ended up stuck and couldn't return to the field of play.

Other than that, great work!

Meowfinity and Beyond by Cryovat 2013-08-28T00:56:00

Very nice game! The only thing I don't like about it is the shaking effect when you're at 5 power or below. It's a bit distracting, and, at least for me, it causes some slowdown.

Woodman for President by lcarpentier 2013-08-27T11:35:00

Excellent presentation, but not very much connection to the theme. Also interesting the way the difficulty picks up in March, since all of a sudden all the poll points you haven't earned are now stacked on *one* opponent instead of spread around.

Chicken Philosophy by Dwel 2013-08-29T15:48:00

Great idea; Frogger + chicken jokes + weirdy-beardy philosophy. Trouble is the hit detection is really strange; Sometimes I get bonuses or get killed without seemingly being anywhere near anything to collide with.

The Vengeful Baby-Men by Jarcas Studios 2013-08-27T07:30:00

Great idea, and interesting, but there are often tiny "hiccups" between sound segments on playback that can make them sound wrong even when they're right.

10 Seconds and The Wizard by michail 2013-08-28T01:04:00

It's fun to see a new take on the theme. Well done. :-)

Seanan's Brewery by ZYXer 2013-08-29T00:26:00

Excellent! The early-game is very dull, since you're waiting two minutes for any new money to come in, but once things get rolling it's pretty fun, and it looks great. My beer needs more vespene gas!

10 seconds by c0nfused 2013-08-30T09:17:00

I liked your graphics and sound a lot, but the duels themselves run a bit too long, especially in the earlygame when your stats are low.

Robots vs. Evil Zombie Birds by jaspreetdhanjan 2013-08-29T15:51:00

It almost requires three hands to play, since the keyboard buttons are so far apart, and you need the mouse to attack. If you'd alias jump to the up arrow / W, you'd gain a ton in playability.

Sands of Chime - Troll Games by hemlocksoames 2013-08-28T00:48:00

Good game! Classic Zelda-like fun, and the added zaniness of the special effects every ten seconds works really well. The music's a bit too hyper, though, if you ask me, and the lava sound is REALLY loud. But otherwise excellent!

Also: check-plus on your username. Bullwinkle FTW.

Daisy by andrewkennedy 2013-08-29T16:18:00

The music is a bit loud. Other than that, you have a pretty fun platformer here, with shades of A Boy and His Blob; after I cleared the first area, though, it returned a "fatal content error" and just stopped.

10 Second Berserker by CoderDozer 2013-08-30T09:25:00

The physics are fun, but the car moves a bit too slowly for a ten-second time limit. It seems my time is half up before I've even touched the ball.

A Game of Thrones by Tiago 2013-08-28T00:35:00

Doesn't seem to work for me; I land on a splash that says "Flowkore Entertainment" and then nothing else happens.

Blind Feed by mackthehobbit 2013-08-30T09:28:00

I couldn't get this to work; it fails with the rather unhelpful Java error "the application failed to run."

Hiccup 2 by tiffi 2013-08-30T09:37:00

Fun platformer! Especially appreciate the awesome dinosaurs.

Time Surge by Solifuge 2013-08-29T09:58:00

Excellent overall, though I agree that the constant running back and forth gets tedious. Also, I don't know if you intended it, but I found an alternate (and much easier) solution to the final Pipe Dream: (spoilers, obviously) http://www.perfectlydarien.com/personal/altsolution.png

North Exit by kazukishida 2013-08-29T10:45:00

Excellent look and feel. It's possible to clip through some of the environment, though, which is strange.

Ten Zero-Zero by Tigro 2013-08-30T09:43:00

I'm not sure this was working right for me; it seemed like, no matter what I did, my dude just wandered off the left side of the screen and never came back.

Darn Clock by sirdorius 2013-08-27T07:35:00

Great fun. I love that there's no penalty for causing mayhem. The only complaint I have is that the controls for getting on to the bus can be a little fiddly; you have to hit the door fairly accurately.

Big City Goat Adventure by Sebby 2013-08-30T09:53:00

Solstice-y. The controls are a bit odd, but the concept is nice and the graphics are surprisingly effective.

10 Sec Away From the Earth by dancingflame 2013-08-27T11:25:00

Really fun overall, in a Lost Vikings kind of way. It might be nice if the aliens didn't despawn when reaching the exit, though, since sometimes getting one guy (usually blue) to the exit requires using one of the others as a stepping stone, and if they've already left you have no choice but to restart.

Blinking by Anoarith 2013-08-30T10:11:00

I really like this! It starts out almost insultingly easy, but you really put the mechanics to good use by the end. Reminds me a bit of the timed flip-panel levels in Super Mario Galaxy.

The only trouble is that, in the bigger levels, I would get noticeable stutter; this made the last level basically unplayable, since you have to go so fast and hit such small targets.

Unseen by Neo-Blue 2013-08-27T08:21:00

Very atmospheric; the ambient soundscape while you have your eyes closed is great.

The Wrong Door by Tangible Games 2013-08-29T13:52:00

Wow! This is really good! I'm really impressed you guys got this done in 72 hours. If you post the English script as a single file somewhere so I don't have to tease it out of the game, I'd be happy to edit it a bit for you, though I think you should leave the voiceovers as they are -- they're great!

10 Seciond Patriot by mscholz89 2013-08-29T08:55:00

Decent silly fun. The ending is pretty weird. Also: I'm Brock, right? I should be able to send my Geodude after that guy.

10 Second Army by Literal Games 2013-08-31T11:36:00

Pretty fun little game; there's a King Arthur game on the SNES this reminds me of somewhat. I love the mouth wind effect!

I don't understand why sometimes all my units except the one in the front stop advancing, though.

10 seconds til Midnight by nolann 2013-08-31T11:37:00

Your "web" link appears to point to a .zip file.

Raging Clue by aayars 2013-08-29T01:01:00

It's a fun idea, but it could do with some greater variety of questions, to be sure. Most of them are about movies and TV, subjects I know nothing about. :-o

Life'Short by fgielow 2013-08-28T01:11:00

Nice Ghouls-n-Ghosts homage. I'd suggest the time shouldn't pass while a text box is up on the screen, though, since it's a bit annoying reading long dialogues while the timer is still progressing.

Legend of DerpElf : Quest for the Banana of Time by kattehus 2013-08-29T08:59:00

I really like the backgrounds here. Very charming!

Quick! Crook Faster! by Ossi 2013-08-30T09:19:00

Awesome title. "Crook" should be used as a verb more often! Looking forward to seeing where you go with this, since it's a really neat idea.

Time Slime Arena by TomCooper3D 2013-08-27T07:55:00

Pretty fun; looks great. The music is a bit out of place, though, for a game about fighting slimes in a crypt. Also: are the blue blobs immune to sword? I never managed to kill one.

Ten Second Takeoff by Taylor 2013-08-29T10:09:00

I agree with the above that WASD-only is not a good control choice, especially for a platformer. It's also a bit odd how the entities don't reset when you die; it means a few wasted deaths while they line up properly for another attempt on the harder levels.

That said, you have a good beginning here. Your music is pretty catchy, and the whales are brilliant.

Ten Seconds To Home by MrSecretUnlock 2013-08-29T10:25:00

Excellent use of the theme! I really like your idea of ten discrete seconds rather than a single ten-second period. A bit of Chrono Trigger here, yes?

The very first puzzle -- the Roman bit you allude to in an earlier comment -- is by far the hardest in the game. Once you're through that, it's pretty straightforward.

I only need ten more seconds by anserran 2013-08-29T14:38:00

Super, super hard. Fun idea, though! I think it might be better if, instead of having to spam-click on the student to raise the grade, that took place automatically and the player could focus on distracting the teacher.

10" to rise by canvapps 2013-08-30T08:56:00

A bit Civilization-y; seems to be lacking a goal, though. You expand for a while, but then that's about it, yes?

Thanksgiving Hero by Amber 2013-08-27T04:39:00

Welcome to game development. There's always one more bog to fix. :-)

Fun, silly munching game. PUNKIN PIE!

Justify by ChrisPugh 2013-08-27T07:32:00

Mutant raccoon virus? Oh noes!

40 in 10 by djbriandamage 2013-08-29T10:27:00

Would be more fun if it were a bit more complex; a one-question personality test wears thin pretty quickly.

Antidote by Antidote 2013-09-12T09:34:00

Good stuff! Not too hard just to get through it, but the added aspect of chasing high scores is a good plus. Only nitpick I have is that I wish movement were aliased to arrow keys also; I'm not very adept at WASD, and since I'm a lefty-mouser I really have to crunch my hands up. Other than that, great!

Antipodist by Zap 2013-08-29T10:38:00

This is surprisingly addictive until you get to that point where, as you say, it becomes too easy. But it's pretty fun learning how to juggle the urns! And a great, unusual concept, too.

The web link isn't working for me; brings me to a Dropbox page where I can choose to download an .html page.

Can you count to 10? by BackwardSpy 2013-08-29T13:14:00

I really liked this! So creepy and disorienting. And the ending is brilliantly weird.

ESC: The Game, the Experience by Spaceoff 2013-08-29T12:02:00

I gotta be honest with you: I kind of liked it. Reminded me a bit of the old favourite Montezuma's Revenge on the C64.

WindBuilder by Per 2013-09-12T10:16:00

Graphics and sound are top-notch, but I found the controls frustrating.

T.I.M.E by MetroidMan347 2013-08-29T12:12:00

I really like the idea, but the execution needs a bit of work. It's basically a ton of grinding and not much else.

Sleep Consultant by flashkick 2013-08-29T00:32:00

Reminds me of classic BBS door games like Caveman Wars and Food Fite. I also echo the complaint about the random skill rerolls rather than a predictable upgrade path, but except for that it's quite good!

Talking Is A Free Action by VDZ 2013-08-29T12:37:00

This is quite fun! It has a bit of a problem with movement sometimes not firing when I press the key, though, which is a BIG problem in the last level (where you have to move quite quickly).

It lasts longer when you're a genius by Darien 2013-08-26T07:10:00

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. This is actually the closest thing to a balanced game I've made yet; most of them are impossible to win. ;-)

Wow, Llamatron and Joust? High praise! :-D

Thanks for all the kind words, guys!

Grats, Cryovat! :-D

Thanks everybody for the comments and feedback! I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I'm afaid I'm not; coincidence, sadly. Thanks, everybody!

Yeah, better sound was next on my to-do list, but time ran out. Glad you enjoyed it, though!

Thanks again to everybody who played and rated my game! You'll all awesome. :-D

10 Second Crawl by Twistedsnail 2013-08-29T00:06:00

Pretty fun! Not sure I dig the stamina mechanic; it seems like an extra headache attached to a game that's really about running around and trying to find the stairs by the deadline.

Distractions by Goodlookinguy 2013-08-28T01:35:00

The graphics are quite nice, but I'm not sure I really understand what to do here. I click on the dudes, and little !s appear above them, and then... I guess that's it?

10 Second Spike by toaster 2013-08-29T10:48:00

Quite tense, what with the creepy music, but it ran rather poorly on my system, which detracted from the experience.

AGK 3000 by DevMax 2013-08-27T04:32:00

Listening to the kid curse in German when I mess his game up is pretty great. :-)

One little issue, though, is that hitting "backspace" brings you back to the title screen. Which you can find out the hard way if you type a wrong number in the BSOD game.

Zzzecret Agent by BlennosoftGames 2013-09-12T09:44:00

Seems a bit buggy; am I right that the mobs turn 90 degrees left whenever they come in contact with anything? Occasionally I've had them turn at other times and completely spoil my hiding spot. Great concept, though!

Alcheminion by bigbadwofl 2013-09-12T09:52:00

Lots of promise here for sure. As others have said, the later levels are a bit too trial-and-error grind-y, and there's no real attempt to incorporate the theme, but you have a great base for a clever puzzler here!

Space Time by DalsGames 2013-09-12T09:56:00

The theme seems sort of like an afterthought here, but the core mechanics of grab-and-fling are fun. I don't really understand why the dudes sometimes bounce off the edges of the screen instead of flying out, though.

One Slice Too Many by William Bundy 2013-08-29T12:41:00

Wow, that noise at the end of the game is... loud.

Go For Gold by zaratustra 2013-08-29T14:48:00

It's a cute joke, but that's about it, yeah?

ROBOT PLANET by GeorgeBroussard 2013-08-27T08:16:00

I will punish the Doombots!

Good stuff. I love the interplay between trying to rush through the levels and dodge robots and having to veer off course to grab air bubbles. Also, the interesting moment when you have to decide if you'll lose more air running for a bubble than you'll get from it.
