Could definately feel the scariness. I fell through a platform into the area where you crouched to open the door though.

It took me a while to figure out the pad thing, but then it got scary. First time I was so scare though that I never got to hear the voice... which is a pity because then I would have been more scared. Nice work.
Good graphics, audio and mood. So good that I didn't care about the connection with the theme.
Very scary, well done with the sound and ambiance :)
Nice atmosphere, though it seems pretty clear from the level design and your description that there isn't actually a threat of any kind? which is a shame
@Friday, thank you! That part is supposed to happen -- you're then supposed to go where you started (the one with the three red lights) once you triggered the three platforms. :) I understand that my design was confusing, though, so I'll take this into account when making a post-Jam version. :D
@local minimum, thank you! :D That pad puzzle wasn't supposed to be the first puzzle you'll encounter -- I just ran out of time so I had to make do with what was already there. :( Also, the voice/growl would only go closer to you when you stay still, so that means you did a good job in trying to keep moving! :D
@triforcespark, thank you! \:D/ haha, well, the theme was a bit shoehorned into my game -- the flashlight and your sprint endurance last 10 seconds max. There was supposed to be a mechanic involving the creatures and 10 seconds, but I didn't have enough time to implement it, so yeah :( Next time! ;D
@dlowe, thank you! <3 I'll be playing your game as well, so watch out for my rate and comment, haha! :D
@Tifu, thank you! :D there was supposed to be a physical threat, but due to time constraints, I lowered it to a psychological threat -- which is a smartass way of saying that there's really no threat, haha! But still, you can 'die' and have to restart the game if you stand too still in the dark. :) ... but I have to test this out further, it seems I somehow omitted that feature in this build. D:
Took me a while to figure out what to do in the beginning too. The scary lighting and audio are simply great. I can't loose though, I'd like a scare in my face.
Nice atmosphere and great sound! Nice to see more people doing 3D games.
Fantastically atmospheric, with amazing graphics and sound. For some reason I really liked the C puzzle at the beginning, even though it was really simple. The "keep moving" was a clever touch, preventing you from looking around and getting used to the environment.
I think the game stopped responding to mouse input soon after the first platform though, and my character was stuck looking in one direction. Aside from that, really neat game.
Excellent look and feel. It's possible to clip through some of the environment, though, which is strange.
holly shit!! its awesome!! you are best! =) scary, cute, and atmospheric! IT's FIVE
love the lightning, love the audio - wanted to meet the doom. he did not show :( i think i'm scarier. good job m8
I love the way you disposed the instructions :D
@Optimus6128, thank you! :D Aww man, sorry, I'll make my design clearer next time. And I'll definitely implement a more tangible shock and scare mechanic in the post-Jam build of this game, promise! ;D
@Split82, thank you! :D Your game is much, much more impressive, man, on so many levels! I'd love to be able to do something like you did in the future! Thank you again! :D
@Epiphane, thank you! :D Haha, yay! I'm glad someone appreciated that weird puzzle! I like puns and puzzles, haha! :D I was able to reproduce the bug on the camera, and it doesn't seem to be limited on that area. I'm not sure what causes it yet, but thank you for pointing it out! :D
@Darien, thank you! Ahh, I'm sorry, I think that was my misplacement of the viewport in the player -- it somehow gets inside things! This will be fixed in the post-Jam version. Thank you again! :D
Ugh, I just can't complete that C puzzle. I've tried writing a C with both lights, moving in a C on the pad, jumping on the pad, moving towards all the light sources... nothing works. (Don't worry, I didn't rate your game.)
@gmaker, thank you very much! <3 :D tried out your game just now, it was excellent as well! \:D/
@Mironix, thank you! Sadly, I was unable to implement the bad guy model in time, so yeah :( In the post-Jam, though, I'll definitely make one haha! :D
@Spotline, thank you! :D Your game looks wicked sick, too, looking forward to trying it out! :D
@BlackBulletIV, aw man, I'm sorry if it was that confusing! D:
<puzzle spoiler I guess? haha>
You simply press the keyboard key 'c' when you're standing on the pad, and you crouch on it. :D
Hope you'll retry the game, haha! I'll try yours out too when the weekend comes so I can download it! Thanks! :D
@kazukishida:
Oh wow, I never thought of that. Good lord, definitely the most scary LD game thus far. Playing it late(ish) at night doesn't help.
But anyway, nice job on the graphics, mood, and audio, even if it is short and doesn't fit the theme too well.
I look forward to hearing your feedback on mine.
I really like the mood, it makes me feel there is a monster or something like that just behind the wall, but I didn't see it. :c Anyway, goo job! :)
Nice atmosphere, the game is pretty scary!
Nice work on the sound too.
Keep at it!
Nice mood and sound, atmosphere is creepy, but only because of the audio, I would have liked some visual effects as well.
Audio is done really well and pulls you right into the game world. Scared me way too easily! Awesome game!
It's nice how you succeeded in creating a lot of tension just with sounds. I guess the fear of being in the dark also participate.
I wish it was longer :)
Oh my, the audio worked perfectly to set a very scary mood!
Pretty cool that you had that effect with sound and darkness alone.
Great work with the mood! Love the itnro and how it teaches the light-mechanics-. The appearing texts are awesome :D
Everyone, thank you for the ratings and comments! <3 I'll take every comment to heart in further developing this game! Thank you for the overwhelming support! :D See you all in the next LD! <3
