multiplayer mini games by jplur 2013-08-31T01:00:00

I found the controls frustratingly slippery so that by time I managed to move where I wanted to the round was over.
Online multiplayer minigames is a very cool concept- but unfortunately I was by myself so didn't get to experience this as intended.

SILX by alvivar 2013-08-29T09:42:00

The infinite-double jump mechanic seems like a cool idea, but is unnecessary when you can just hold down RMB and constantly fly. Maybe remove fly altogether?
I really like the look of the character and it's trail :)

Rescue Run by Beanalby 2013-09-10T01:41:00

Pretty cool. The text/narrator added a lot of character. The difficulty didn't really feel like it increased, but maybe that's something that could be addressed with more levels.

Dave's Marvelously Mediocre Game by OddballDave 2013-08-29T14:24:00

This is an interesting idea, and nice to see a same-screen multiplayer game! And with 26 players- so inclusive ha ha
My biggest criticism is that you write "Music and sound effects by someone else." - great that you admit it, but it would be super nice if you could properly credit your source :)

Corn PoP by 01rafael 2013-09-13T11:29:00

Really interesting choice of aesthetics, and I have to say the music is what kept me playing. Simple, but kind of cool.

Attack of the Random Boxes by someone 2013-08-29T10:14:00

Shooting feels really satisfying and I love how the player explodes on death!
Bonus points for cape :)

Rabbits and spaceships ! by rianoto 2013-09-07T07:11:00

I also won without knowing what I was doing. I felt like I was just randomly clicking and everything I clicked on told me to wait.
It's a very cool premise though- reminds me of the spectacular game 'Candy box !', and could really be something with a bit more work and clarity of instructions.

BombUniverse by Lidfrid 2013-09-03T00:57:00

Didn't solve it - my dreams of being in the bomb disposal unit destroyed!
Really sweet presentation and mood.

Robby by Morusque 2013-09-10T01:26:00

Yay! It took me a while, but I finished it!
Cute tone, amazing presentation and concept, I really enjoyed it. Experimenting with different actions and choices (even if I knew they were probably wrong,) was really rewarding :D

Ready Or Not by godan 2013-09-07T08:03:00

I love the presentation and the sounds - really set the mood.
I experienced a bug where I was stuck with three dots, even when I got Game Over and started again.
Pretty solid entry (although, from what I can see, nothing to do with ten seconds :S)

<-Saccade-> by Rave Radbury 2013-09-16T07:13:00

Really awesome interpretation of the theme and aim for your game! Unfortunately, I too wasn't able to last long enough to fall under the illusion. Does the difficulty of the game help to create the effect / would it be possible to have an easier version of the game and still achieve the same effect?

Bored to Death by jwin 2013-08-29T05:27:00

Missile riding is confusing, so I didn't get very far. But it's pretty fun and I like the concept.
Quite like the simple, blocky art style too :)

Con 10 Sedi by Capro 2013-09-01T13:26:00

<3<3<3
I agree with GarethIW that too much time is spent looking at the icons. What if the arrows were right near the corresponding runner?

Get well soon by GSM Productions 2013-08-29T00:22:00

Creepy!
Nice brain texture on the enemy ha ha
Bonus points for voice acting AND subtitles!

1010 Runner by Obscuremoon 2013-08-29T15:09:00

Very similar to RobotUnicorn Attack yet doesn't add anything new. Also, very difficult.
Nice character sprite though :)

TooLoong by euske 2013-08-29T14:39:00

Yay! I got a smiley face!
It's a bit too easy- the biggest challenge is putting up with the overwhelming visuals.
The tile texture of the ground was strange- sometimes it didn't move at all, sometimes it went really fast. It never seemed to move at the speed of the character, this just added to the overwhelming-ness.

I HATE AIRCON by Wuhao 2013-08-29T08:50:00

I have no idea what's going on - everything is so fast - I feel like I have no control - why do I collect dollars as I commit suicide? Ah!
My favourite part is the flailing character, he looks pretty good ha ha

Dust in the Candy Megaverse by Xgor 2013-09-03T13:21:00

Bizarre idea that I'm not too keen on. I didn't find the character very appealing. The controls are a bit too sensitive and make me a bit motion-sickness-y.
The voice was my favourite element, and added a lot of character to the game.

Kittens Go! by xhunterko 2013-09-11T13:04:00

White text on yellow was a poor, poor choice. Don't do that again. (Thank you for including the instructions here as well)
Interesting idea, but it's too easy and has no real strategy. Maybe it could be balanced by introducing a limit on how many pellets you can give at a time, or how much money is received.
The cats are pretty cute though! But I wish they had little legs that were frantically running :3

T minus 10 by Pixelboy_85 2013-08-28T04:03:00

This is great! The art is pretty neat

It's a bit unclear where the helmet/health needs to hit in order to be collected - like helmet to head makes sense, but the health would often hit the body and just bounce away. It's also frustrating that collecting health destroys the helmet.

It would be cool to see this expanded in the way you're thinking - more status bars. Nice effort

T minus 10 by Pixelboy_85 2013-08-28T12:39:00

Ohhhhhhh... ha ha, I couldn't tell. I'll have to play again with that in mind. Maybe it was misleading because the head is much larger than the rest of his body?
Maybe if his hands grabbed at objects it would become clearer?

Stellar Countdown by Khopa 2013-08-31T00:52:00

I really like the visual style of the the ships, they look great. Interesting concept that could be explored more.

V229 by Inf 2013-08-30T09:39:00

Apart from the points other people have mentioned, it took me a while to realise I had died as there is no visual or audio change. I also initially mistook the squares as aesthetic, rather than pickups - I guess I was expecting the batteries to look like the player character. I also didn't know how much time was remaining.
Having said that, the visual style is pretty cool, especially the projectile. Sounds are nice too :)

10 Seconds of Grey by Almax27 2013-09-02T04:32:00

~* Congratulations on your first game jam! *~
Honestly, I ended up just randomly clicking on responses, but I understand you didn't have time to implement everything you wanted to.
Amazing presentation!

10 Second shooting by Pikkufighter 2013-08-28T01:37:00

Nice and simple.
But the higher levels don't ask for anymore skill from the player-

The black bars don't add anything to the game, rather it feels to me like a fault of the game that the targets are generated behind them- because now I can't shoot the centre, but it's not my fault.

What if, the cursor can't pass through the black parts of the level, so you have to quickly calculate the most direct route to navigate around them, like a maze?

Escape From Homeshank by ColdBrain 2013-09-11T14:26:00

Beautiful presentation! The art style is amazing, I especially love those wallpapers. The music is great and matches the visuals perfectly, I just wish it was a longer loop.
I found the controls were frustratingly loose and, although a small thing, it was annoying having to swap back to mouse click restart. Also, collisions on obstacles sometimes seemed to be larger than the visuals suggested (bottle of poison for example.) But it was pretty enough that I persevered until the end of the game. Cool entry.

Boulder Runner by tinfoilboy 2013-08-29T11:04:00

The character creeps me out a bit :/
The idea is solid enough, but it's hard to feel in control because most of the time you can't see. It seemed like chance that I made it to the end of each level.
Maybe this could be improved by making the camera higher and the controls less slippery?

Emergency Stop by agrdev 2013-09-11T14:34:00

Ha ha, I love this!
So simple, yet so good. Awesome use of mouse wheel. Perfect selection of assets (although a little bit of a shame that it appears none are of your own creation).
Brilliant!

10 Seconds to Lava by Folis 2013-09-04T02:01:00

The insane camera sensitivity spoiled it for me. Nice concept though.

Royal Defenestrator by BasmanovDaniil 2013-09-02T05:18:00

Bizarre concept with lots of character! I really like it!
When the guards were chasing me, I grabbed random objects to throw in their way like the heros do when they run away in action movies, ha ha

The Relativity (of 10 seconds) by dismedia 2013-09-03T12:52:00

I am embarrassingly bad at maths :/
Neat little idea, felt like a Psychology test. I'd like to see more rounds in the more 'gamey' style like the second, third and fourth rounds.
Perhaps I'm just really silly, but I must admit in the first round I thought that it started counting down from 13 was the 'distraction'.
Good little idea with nice, clear presentation
(I had no problems running the game in Chrome)

Hold My Beer! by Lars Faust 2013-09-09T11:50:00

Awesome, awesome presentation and sweet art!
Although, it was a bit unclear what was happening sometimes, I had to read through the comments to understand the hamburger eating contest :3
It could be cool to have the games presented in a random order after each game over, so losing is not so painful. But having said that, I kept at it until I bet the game :)
Overall, pretty neat little game

Tachyon Rupture by Sascha 2013-09-10T15:38:00

Neat idea and nice art style.
As others have said, the controls are a bit odd. Using the mouse made no sense to me as you can only interact with things the character is standing right next too - perhaps assigning this to a key could feel better.
I'm quite fond of the art style, and the concept is interesting idea and could be explored more.

Count To Ten by anotheryeti 2013-09-04T08:16:00

Ah! I really like this one!
Unique and interesting presentation with the camera moving around, great art style and sounds. Pretty fun and a nice take on the theme.
Bonus points for the patient's eyes!
I agree with Sestren that more people need to see this entry, consider rating other games to get noticed :)

10 seconds to die by mrcdk 2013-08-29T11:34:00

Great concept! I admit, I never got past level 2 either, it's quite difficult :/

t.i.m.e by Asar Dhandala 2013-09-04T02:09:00

The controls were too slippery for me. I like the concept, and it looks like the beginning of an interesting art style.
The ticking sounds make it :)

Wave every 10 seconds by Back to Browse Entries 2013-08-28T01:43:00

Oh cool, a non-digital game

Time Perception by Reyn 2013-09-03T13:12:00

It was nice, but I wanted a little bit more from this. It could be interesting to incorporate the visuals more or have more distractions, as others have commented.
The Directors Cut was weird, but an awesome inclusion ha ha - maybe the actual version should be the Directors Cut?

Polarity by Matthew Brown 2013-09-03T01:07:00

Attractive, neat aesthetics- nice touch having it throb in time to the music.
I kind of wish lasers were a toggle, it was a bit annoying holding down LMB.
Feels like the more I play the better I get, which is really satisfying.
Interesting idea executed really well

Back for Seconds by RobotParking 2013-09-02T05:02:00

A Twine adventure! Awesome!
<3 Porpentine (I admit, I was very dismissive of interactive fiction until I read Propentine)

I love how coarse this is and how it forces you to be such an offensive character. Well written and a unique experience.

The pink was a bit hurty after a while, and when I looked away everything looked green *o*
but it fit well with the abusiveness of the game itself.

Good length and sweet interpretation of the theme!

Final Glow by Yword 2013-08-31T16:23:00

Man, it took me ages to figure out what was going on- this game is in desperate need of instructions because it's really good! I fear some players may not have the patience to work it out themselves (I'm still not sure what the different colours mean :S)
Interesting interpretation of the theme by creating a fun, unique mechanic, executed with high polish. Really cool entry!

Omnom10 by klambrike 2013-09-16T07:00:00

Things that bothered me: the repetitive explosion sound, neither flash light facing forward, the inaccurate cross hair, and being unable to shoot a spider when they are close.
I do like that you destroy the spiders for time to benefit your own self preservation (rather the usual, pointless 'points'), and I was quite fond of the controls.

Antarctic-Toc by Meep 2013-08-28T01:52:00

I found the controls a bit slippery, but, being ice, maybe they're meant to be.

The random-event-every-ten-seconds works well. And the penguins look good :)

10 Seconds by kapoty 2013-09-02T04:20:00

A bit unclear what was going on. I just held down LMB and swiped over everything. But even still, it was kind of satisfying seeing the squares split into smaller squares and I played for some time.

10 Seconds To Win by lopiky1 2013-08-29T15:03:00

~* Congratulations on your first game! *~
I found it really difficult to jump enemies at first, but then I got the hang of it...
Oh, reading through the comments it seems this is a bug - fooled me ha ha
Nice touch to have the menu playable :)
Keep making games!

Meat Basket by shs 2013-09-11T12:56:00

The aesthetics are a weird choice, can't say I'm much of a fan. For a long time I found it confusing that the meat didn't appear to actually go in the basket. I also didn't realise that the pickups were the text.
The highscore table on the title screen was extremely encouraging and it kept me playing much longer than I intended (made it to third place!)

Realities by frameland 2013-09-09T12:14:00

~* Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare! *~
I love that you took the more experimental approach. However, I didn't feel as though I had much agency over what has happening and the purpose of the blackouts was unclear. The loss of controls over time felt really powerful and meaningful, but unfortunately the message was lost on me. Very, very pretty though, with an interesting atmosphere.

Justin Time by MrRoboman 2013-08-28T06:48:00

Nice to hear some voice acting ha ha
Unfortunately I really suck at maths, especially when there's a time limit, so wasn't able to defuse all of the bombs :(

10 second unicorn by robbe 2013-08-29T09:28:00

Growing the iconic horn made it for me, ha ha

Origami Wings by team_cow 2013-08-28T07:23:00

Nice!
I especially like the bird model and animations, and that it gets darker as your timer reaches zero.

Antidote by Antidote 2013-08-28T01:04:00

Amazing! Feels really satisfying to shoot and when you complete a level.
A tiny bit more explanation would be nice. For example, I had no idea it cost gold to shoot until I read Mclogenog's comment. I guess it's because there's no real punishment for having $0, and no reward for having a lot.

Antipodist by Zap 2013-08-29T11:12:00

Thank you all for the nice comments :3

Destroy the Rebel Scum. by uncade 2013-09-12T07:00:00

"WINNER!" YES! This too silly, I love it- and played for much longer than I expected. Each level made me giggle.
Being able to still shoot and walk and explode and fly off the map after the ten seconds is up is so great! And first person cam is a really nice touch. I want more, please.

Off Balance by pragmascript 2013-08-31T01:09:00

For me, the controls were fine, rather what I found frustrating was the light weight of the objects, causing them to be very sensitive to input.
I really like the concept of this game

Color Shift by Sandcrawler 2013-09-03T00:43:00

I think this is a really interesting concept - the reward for finding rings allows you to move through the level easier, and the punishment for touching an enemy is restricted movement. Simple but very effective.
It wasn't clear how many rings were left to collect (unless you scroll through and try to work it out) so therefore it wasn't clear when to head back to the castle. What if the player had ring 'slots' around them, so you could see how many were left and which have been collected?
Holding down the LMB to control was a bit annoying, but MMB scroll worked well.
And yes, it was a bit laggy, but I managed to play through the whole thing (Chrome)

The Royal Dogs by Corné Dorrestijn 2013-08-31T16:07:00

Neat little game, though I never managed to win. Could be cool to make the bullets have more of an effect on impact- explosion, louder sound, camera shake, or whatever- so it's clearer that you've managed to hit the enemy.
I like the crisp, simple art style :)

Gimme 10 secs, I gotta kill this horde by Gear 2013-08-28T12:06:00

Pretty neat little game.
I think the crates work really well to encourage accuracy so you don't accidentally destroy your cover.
Solid concept.

10sShmup by rzfmzn 2013-09-07T08:27:00

I especially like that you gamed the game making process. I had no idea what was going on though :3
Bonus points for including your face!

Sky Turkeys Extreme by supermaximo93 2013-08-31T16:02:00

Because I really suck at these kind of games I found it really repetitive, ha ha
I think it feels really responsive, the music is perfect and the art style is very simple yet attractive. Pretty solid little game.

Water Closet by Angrycrow 2013-08-29T05:20:00

ha ha ha, this is silly!
A bit difficult to understand the controls.

Provider by Canyon 2013-08-29T13:25:00

So simple, but interesting. The art style is really neat. I found it very difficult to find the deer- very difficult over all actually ha ha
Great concept though.

Mission Luna by LTyrosine 2013-09-16T06:49:00

Awesome atmosphere! I found it very difficult to control, but that was all part of the challenge. And even though I only managed to see objects zoom past my window too fast to take a photo (full throttle, all the time!), I still really enjoyed this and played for quite a while with a few attempts. Pretty cool.

Yea by prettymuchbryce 2013-09-09T12:03:00

Eeeep! I really like this game! Amazing, unusual atmosphere and A+ audio. My only issue was that I was a little unsure what to do, but I think that was part of the charm.
I want more of this, please make more :)

Feather & Son by Carduus 2013-08-28T11:55:00

Pretty! And a great concept- I especially like the f(e)ather& son and sad-vibes
It plays really well, but gets very difficult very quickly.
An awesome, awesome effort for your first game by yourself

It lasts longer when you're a genius by Darien 2013-08-29T11:17:00

Once I had read the story and instructions I was in love
This is the first entry I've played that manipulates the length of 10 seconds - "because of Einstein" ha ha - great idea
My only issue is that it begins with a million things on screen, making it quite difficult right from the start.
It would be great to see this game worked on more :D

Loopy Lumberjack by UndergroundPixel 2013-08-29T00:34:00

<3 Dance Mode!
Bizarre combination of ideas, ha ha, and fun to play

There is no time by brodavi 2013-09-03T10:05:00

I've recently been watching Star Trek Enterprise, so loved this game- great atmosphere!
I also liked the reference to Twin Peaks ;)
The 'ghost' was a little confusing- I guess I was expecting a visual representation and it was unclear which actions were saved.
I enjoyed playing through to the end, would be cool to see this expanded

10 Second Spike by toaster 2013-08-29T11:26:00

Ahh! I love the character! Look at his little hat :3
Unfortunately I found it really frustrating that there was no clue where the spikes would turn up, and that dying sent you back to the start. Simply having different coloured tiles that hold spikes could help.
The audio and art is great!

Aliens and such by Waynetron 2013-08-28T12:32:00

Oh! I really like this!
The art is nice and clean, and the concept is great. I actually spent quite a bit of time playing :3

It took me ages to realise that where you click is where the bullet explodes, and that the bullets passing through an enemy does nothing. I found this really unusual and difficult at first, but felt I was getting better the more I played - which was really satisfying.

The thing I'm not so keen on is the timer during the puzzle. When you do have pieces it doesn't seem enough time, and when you don't it's annoying having to wait.
The game also got stuck for me on level 9 with 2 seconds left - enemies kept falling without damaging the shield, and the timer was stuck.

Bonus points for the name :)

Cautionary Halt by PerilousPete 2013-09-07T08:21:00

As already said in the comments, too much time spent waiting. On top of this, I also found it very difficult, which made me more impatient and lead to an overall frustrating experience.
But having said that, it's a very interesting idea, but I feel like it could be explored more to create more interesting mechanics.

Matchbox Ten by CaptainFresh 2013-08-29T13:19:00

Pretty neat little game :)

Jackton Factory by Pitƶik4 2013-09-02T02:16:00

Pretty cool idea, it's interesting trying to work out everything that could happen. I didn't manage to solve it though.
The signs could be bigger - it was tricky to click them if there was a person standing in front.
Thanks for including a walkthrough :)
