Nice powerup/item switching system.
Took me some time to figure out the controls due to the small text on the bottom.
If anyone else is confused: Z switches slots and X collects souls to use.
Having the gibs of the enemies blow up other enemies was fun.
The game looks great!
I had a bit of trouble getting the enemies to explode so I just threw them into the ground to survive longer.
Haha, small world! My game Light Source does use the "Action Jackson" font in the title. :)
I think this is a nice take on the discovery theme with the disco and discovering of new abilities. Really good attention to detail, especially with the disco music getting less loud as the character moves away from the dance floor room.
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but at one point I got knocked back by the boss and when I left the room the image of the boss was still shown in the other rooms.
Great game, loved the evolving minigame.
@Canobie: I initially wanted the marketing part to have multiple quotes chained together. If I ever make a post Ludum Dare version I'll most likely have it use many different quotes and fit those in somehow as a combo.
@carlsommer: Glad you liked the theme adaptation!
Great cutscenes and music. Nice use of point and click and action areas.
Nice progression system; it made me play more to see what was next.
Using torches to explore downwards was pretty neat. I didn't have to manage sanity since I was always carrying a torch.
@Cawrtz: That part of pixi's code seems to have to do with the renderer type. The game uses WebGL as the renderer instead of falling back to the canvas. I'm not sure if Chromium has WebGL on by default but there might be a flag in chrome://flags for it.
