Thanks for playing and for your comments! We did plan on adding sound effects and music, but we ran out of time... Next time we will give audio a higher priority :)

Again thank you all for playing the game!
A quick note for those having issues with performance: the web version is fixed at one resolution (and your native resolution when switching to full screen) and high detail settings. however the downloadable version has resolution and detail settings so you can tweak them to match your hardware. Also we noticed that some optimus laptops don't switch to the discrete gpu with the web version, while the downloadable version runs just fine.
Sorry about that, turned off my pc before dropbox finished syncing... May have been a bit tired at the time...
All should be well now!
Thanks for all the lovely feedback!! :) @bebopbrownbaer Good question! We did make everything ourselves. We made the 3D models (rocks, city, puzzle, lever, gates, gears, etc) and imported those into the UE3 engine. Arne also set up all the shaders. (crystals glowing when you get closer, moving water etc, volume lights, textures, materials etc) I can assure you that even though we used the UE4 engine, everything you see and hear is handmade by us in 72 hours. There was no magic 'make awesome game' button involved :P
Love the atmosphere, art and interpretation of the theme.
Awesome RTS!
Great atmosphere. I agree a little more light might be nice at times, maybe allow the player to change the intensity of the light? That could create an interesting balance between battery drain and visibility.
Regarding the right click issue: In unity under player settings you can change the template to a "no context menu" template. Should help you get rid of that menu. If you still want to allow players to switch to fullscreen you can just bind that to a key.
It is proper old school! Awesome. I also thought about doing an undercover game... you pulled it off! :)
Finished!!!! :) Enjoyed that! Nice use of the theme :) Sweet music, suits the game nicely!! Controls are a bit hard with mouse, but I see how it would work really well on an Ipad!!
Can't beat the game :'( aaaaaaaaaah!!! :D
Some feedback when hit such as a red screen flash would help a lot, I died from a bite in the back without even noticing there was an enemy behind me.
Very hard, but quite well made and I loved the way you got the smooth bobbing motion of those old games right.
Great atmosphere, interesting story (though I was hoping for a bit more of an ending), block characters, 2d volume shadows, slanted camera aka. very Thomas Was Alone like, but I have to agree with RyanNielson, that's not a bad game to be compared to.
:D I thought them fella's were supposed to be pink lol, until I read your post. It's the bravest take on the theme I've seen so far. Love the animation. I actually waited shooting a couple of times, because I couldn't read the signs :P Classic gameplay. Atari Battlezone (1980) was like that. Still works for me!
Nice to see others using UE4 as well. In regards to the issues people are having I would recommend:
- Include the correct redist in your download, we did that and most people seemed to be able to run the game fine.
- Don't include a shortcut with an absolute path. Instead a bat file can use relative paths thats work for everyone. Or create an installer that handles creating correct shortcuts. (Can take care of the prerequisites as well)
Anyway, regarding the game: I like your take on the theme and the presentation. My main criticism would be that it takes quite a bit of time to crack the first time, combined with the limited feedback on whether you are making progress, makes it hard for the player to feel like they are progressing through the game.
Well rounded game, music is totally suitable! Puts me right back in the 90s... You guys are pro :D
Enjoyable! Barry is pretty badass :D
The music is awesome!! Just die and keep listening to the music, totally worth it :D I'd play the game even longer if the music wouldn't restart everytime I die, which is all the time, lol. Not your fault, I'm just not so good at the flappy games ;)
Holy cr@p! I love the way the cat looks somehow apologetic. The cats that play this game in my garden never express any regretful acknowledgement of their daily offences! Fairground music is the way to go, absolutely! :) And the toiletrol pooping indicator is inspired.
Five farts for humor :D
Yes! Awesome take on the theme :) Puzzle is tricky, I still can't identify the informer. The sprites are the same, they seem to behave the same way, I've even started to speculate if they pass the documents on to each other... could you give a hint? or is that cheating? :) I also did a puzzle for this LD, although I tested it on a couple of people, and I had to simplify the whole thing. Turns out that people are still having trouble with it, yet not nearly as tricky as yours :D congrats, I'll continue to try and find a pattern!!
I got it! I spent hours playing this one, can't believe i missed the passing on of documents!! Supercool game. I love a challenge :D
Smooth game! Art is nice. Plays like a charm. The music makes me superhappy. It works perfectly with the game. The piano being a bit out of tune actually works really well :D (I'm going to be sorry I mentioned that, you're going to play mine and hear that the 'pot is blaming the kettle that he sees black') :P yay Holland :D
Nice stuff!! Digging is so much fun :) 15 evolutions, is that good? Wish there was an online high score system or something :P Seriously sweet A.I. tho. I really start wondering what them little fellers are thinking... they do get smarter after a while, or am I imagining things? lol 4 Meatballs!!

7! sight helps in the end :D
nice
Wow, it's shocking how addictive this skatter-brained-button-bashing-baby is. Love the addition of the two eyes. Makes you feel more guilt when you drown him/her.
I don't think I'd be able to make a game like this all by myself in 48 hours (since I'm an artist lol)
But seriously. It's simple, but great gameplay. I actually panic when swimming up. Well played sir.
(1629 returning alive) (2631 sadistic drowning death) :P
You made me very happy! I feel like playing SimTower all over again :D Thank you also for showing abundant-music... it is very sweet. First superaddictive game on this compo! :D thx
