Well-executed game, although not a particularly novel one. The controls were a bit difficult to understand, but once you did understand them, the game was fun for a few minutes :)

I thought this was a really cool idea! It was a little too slow paced for me and I didn't feel as much agency in the world as I wanted. But, there are definitely some ideas here!

Looks like fun but my tooltips keep disappearing which makes it hard. Can you try to fix that please? :D

ossi 2014-12-09 01:45

I really like this a lot! Nice use of the theme and I had a lot of fun watching the adventurers suffer at the hands of my upgraded dungeons! Well done!

I beat it! Not sure where my income was coming from. Concept shows some promise.

The background does not appear. Tried Chrome and Firefox.
Not sure what controls are either.

I just got a white webpage, wouldn't load.

Evil has triumphed! Neat concept. Love, that the heroes don't roam carelessly through the world, but eg must walk through bridges to get across the rivers. At one point they were all just camping at the towns so wasn't much to do for a significant deal of time.
Great entry!

Took me a minute to understand what was going on but once I did I liked it. The lay of the land was pleasing to the eye as well>
A bit too easy. Those lowly heroes didn't stand a chance!

The objectives are not easy to understand without reading the comments, but the game is still interesting and fun when you get it!

Really fun idea! I'd love to see this developed further into a sort of 'run your own evil empire' management game.

Good work !
PS : I love the MSpaint artwork, and it was well executed in this game.

I get Uncaught InvalidStateError: Failed to execute 'drawImage' on 'CanvasRenderingContext2D': The HTMLImageElement provided is in the 'broken' state. (Chrome Windows 7). Doesn't seem to work on Firefox either. Maybe a problem with your server ?

This is really cool. It's takes a while to figure out just what's going on. I'd recommend putting the gold counter in the same corner of the screen as the text that tells you how much certain actions will cost, so you can instantly see whether you can afford it.

This is a cool idea! But I did find it hard to loose, even when I tried to lose.

redoxkun 2014-12-13 12:37

I found it a nice idea. But it's confusing to play, most of the time didn't know what was happening.

cake_catastrophe 2014-12-13 13:45

Really cool idea - i liked suddenly buffing the early dungeons to kill all the newbie heroes.

It can get a little too slow, though, if you over spend. A couple of times I ended up with most of the heroes camped in a single town, waiting for my gold to increase to the point where I could destroy it.

Overall, very nice, and quite easy to understand which is something most jam games of this type often struggle with.

I just get errors: on FF:

NS_ERROR_NOT_AVAILABLE:

ctx.drawImage(imageToDraw, this.nodes[i].x - 16, this.nodes[i].y - 16);

on Chrome
Uncaught InvalidStateError: Failed to execute 'drawImage' on 'CanvasRenderingContext2D': The HTMLImageElement provided is in the 'broken' state.

You are on to something here. Reminds me of majesty2 in concept. A few of the others comments are the same ones I have. Didn't really know what the point of upgrades were or destroying towns from just playing the game. Had to read your comments to get the hang of it. That isn't bad, just saying that the interface felt like it could have had that information in it pretty easily.
