I like the aesthetic but I kind of see it as just another thing to find what I'm good at. The idea was never quite there for it which was a big problem.
the music is a 10 second loop you can 'm' to mute lol
The game is pretty fun but I would say that it doesn't really fit well with only ten seconds(os-windows7). But don't get me wrong it is cool ^_^
it ran but the screen was blank except for sound and the framerate. I'm on win7. i really wanted to play this ;-; <3

The game is great on every aspect except for audio, theme, and gameplay. I would continue to work on this; it has a lot of potential especially with its great artistic style.

The one use mechanics were great. Although, I don't think one life was necessary; it never left me the opportunity to then strategize and make use of my abilities more sparingly. The base mechanics were very intriguing though! <3
Loved the game! The theme was rising. It become more and more apparent as the game progressed. Just as a I was ready to stop playing I hit the apex of the games story. Well crafted and well designed! My only concern is the repetitive music and the graphics. Other than those two things the game is very nice!

I liked it. The music was my favorite part. Although, I don't think it fits the theme terribly well, it was still fun to play. It feels very retro to me. Just the feel and the music/sfx of the whole thing.
I love the art and music! It reminds me of swords and sworcery. Been looking forward to game by you ever since melodisle xD

Thanks everyone ^_^ I had a really hard time thinking of an actual game for this. I went between making music with the fish to an RTS like army game. But in the end I just couldn't think of a practical game to finish lol.

The combat is surprisingly good. A little more tweaks and it could be kind of like dark souls.

The mac version didn't work which had me a little perturbed. But, after playing the windows version I was pleasantly surprised. It's a nice little space shooter with some interesting ideas. I like the graphics too ^_^
I found myself laughing hysterically the whole time! I really liked the humor and having the Doors in there was sweet! It was overall just a really pleasant experience. And as a side note I found there to be some pretty dark undertones actually xD which is pretty cool too

@johnbrynte I'm sorry about the resolution :( I had a bunch of issues with screen sizing etc. at the last moment and had to rush to get it right.
I just wanna give a super duper thank you to everyone who has rated the game! I had a really fantastic time making it and I admit that there were times that I laughed maniacally while building the levels.
I really appreciate the feedback and I intend to use it! I will(if i can manage) be making this game a rogue-like, meaning it will be all procedurally generated. If I can actually do this then I will spend a lot more time making sure the controls are perfect and in addition I'll be adding more mechanics!

And I left the game with a shiver down my spine. All of my game designy brain is telling me that there isn't much of an actual game here, BUT, I left it really pleased and I know for sure that I just experienced some good art! It was a really nice experience ^_^
I really really like the channel mechanic. It's really cool and a lot could be done with this idea! My only issue was that the spikes don't stand out so I kept hitting them even though I knew spikes killed me. Also, I think restarting from the last channel might make it a little more enjoyable than just restarting the whole game. Overall, I really enjoyed this and I think it's a really well done interpretation of the theme.

Okay! Hold up! No comments here??? This was extremely cool ! I loved hacker games as a kid and this is really simple yet it's conveyed in such an immersive and genuine way. Really good job. I gave this a 5 overall because it's just really cool even though the actual game is pretty simple :)

I thought this was a really cool idea! It was a little too slow paced for me and I didn't feel as much agency in the world as I wanted. But, there are definitely some ideas here!
I enjoyed the upgrade system but the lack of ship mobility didn't feel right to me. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this given more time though!

I thought this game was pretty cool! I think you could really go somewhere with the idea ^_^. I like the main game room mechanic and I think you can do a lot more with it.
I think this is a good start, but, more thought needs to be put into the game design. I was able to stand still in the corner and shoot continuously without losing. Give the player incentive to become mobile(super crate box does this but making your score based on collecting crate around the map). But like I said, this is a good start ^_^

The punching was so sweet it really felt unlike any other beat 'em up I've ever played. I loved the story the visuals and the characters. If I wanted to nitpick I would say the weapons would be cooler if they all worked differently(but like time restraints I know xD). But yeah this game was really solid and the graphics especially were really really good ^_^

It's pretty cool, I can see this getting better with a little more work. I think the enemies spawn a little too suddenly and maybe a bigger map would be cool. The movement mechanics are pretty nice and I almost got good enough to weave in and out of the enemies which felt pretty sweet :) Overall pretty cool
It's kind of hard to play because when i hit backspace it takes to the last page in my history :(
I really enjoyed the idea behind this game. I liked the idea that I could control a crowd but that was a difficult task. I would really like to see this in a bigger fuller game ^_^

This is actually a really interesting take on a match three :) I enjoyed it a bunch but it went way too fast for me to keep up and perhaps adding more mechanics would make for some interesting play. But overall I thought it was pretty cool :)!

I really like this ^_^ I think the difficulty curve is all flubbed up though. It should have started with a bunch of circles and gradually taken them away cause the game just got easier as it went. But still, it had me playing for quite a bit with such little interaction. Quite cool! ^_^

this was a really sweet change of pace for the all the games i've played this LD. I liked this game a bunch!!
To be honest...one of the best games i have played this LD. The visuals were moody and grimy(although very very derivative of Limbo it still worked to great effect). The mechanics were really interesting and they started to become even more so in the last two levels. I would have liked to have seen more levels that were more than just introductory(though im aware you were hard pressed for time). I really liked this game :)
i really enjoyed the AI and the random mazes. I think that this would be a project worth polishing. I think that the player could gain a lot from be able to perform more abilities etc. (granted I wasnt too sure what the abilities mapped to 1-2-3 did). I liked it overall ^_^

I love designing games like this myself so this was really fun for me! I love these kind of mechanics ;-; really sweet entry. I like the minimalistic graphics although I do feel like they could be tweaked. Overall this is one of my favorites so far this LD cx
Not exactly my kind of game, but I think the mechanics were well realized and the visuals and audio were all tied together nicely.
I thought this was really interesting. All of your mechanics work together really well. Having to resist being caught was a really good idea to counter the speed and rate that the trainers were throwing. The only thing that I really think could have improved was more polish on the art. The shadows were really dark and I think the colors could have been tighter and less saturated(not trying to down you just scratching my head trying to think of anything because this is a really good entry). I think it was a really good idea given the theme and the execution is expertly done :).

I really enjoyed this. The graphics were really subpar to be truthful(im sorry to say that >.<) I think to help fix the graphics you should be more consistent and explicit with a style. Right now it's bordering more of low res images rather than pixel art. Moving on from the art though I really enjoy the design of the game. It's a difficult challenge and it's tactile and fun just to move around. I think the time slow down is awesome although it could maybe last not as long. I hope i wasnt too harsh about the graphics but those are my honest thoughts and i think the game is very good and I rated it as such <3

I liked this. The graphics were well put together on a technical level. I think the game could have communicated game changes better(taking damage, knights taking damage, etc.)
the mac build has the contents folder instead of the actual app...
I thought this was a really cool idea at first but in practice it didnt work out like i had thought...it just seemed needlessly difficult to avoid your tail. I think with a bit of thought i think you could fix it because this is a really cool idea!
