LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Bango by timtipgames 2015-05-09T09:28:00

It was pretty fun, definitely a game I could be absorbed into.

The Way of the Unconventional Weapon by Mikel 2015-05-09T11:44:00

Fun and unexpected. The controls seemed to no let me attack while jumping, and I got clobbered. But it was something fun the whole time! Thanks

SideArmed by BPO_Jeff 2015-05-09T09:12:00

Such an intense game! The look and feel was amazing, but the amount of enemies was crippling. After enemies started piling up when my weapon upgraded, it was impossible to gather more weapons because they dropped right into the group.

War of Ideas by jackyjjc 2015-05-09T10:53:00

This game was enjoyable! I spread the ideals of Otaku throughout the world. My only complain is that the text prompts cover over some of the places like Aus, India, and Africa, and I had some trouble clicking on them. Overall, though, pretty fun to play! Great work, I'd like to see more of this type of game.

The Follower by Stending 2015-05-08T10:45:00

Well put together, it was simple but very beautiful. I'd like to see more games like this.

The Tiny World of Potatoes by marccspro 2015-05-09T20:16:00

The game sets a pretty desperate and dark vibe. It was easy to get jumped by the little killer bunnies or whatever the monsters were. The controls seemed unresponsive at times, I'd hit the G key, but nothing would happen, and this game moves so quickly!

Garden State by cbear_wallis 2015-04-22T02:41:00

This is an adorable game. I'm a huge fan of the color choice and the overall feel of it. The mechanics are intuitive yet vague enough to keep me wondering if I've made the right choices, but in the end, I have something to enjoy so much.

Weapon Regulator by drludos 2015-04-29T21:47:00

Pretty good however the chaos brought me a lot of confusion. And when the weapon convention changes, it's super easy to lose points instantaneously. I liked the idea of the 'contraband' interpretation of Unconventional Weapon. Good job, I hope to see more of these games in the future.

Extinction Explosion!! by sugarbyte 2015-05-09T11:12:00

Very fun adaptation of the classic invaders. I enjoyed this, great work!

Pygmy's Sticky Stick by Majsmanne 2015-04-29T22:07:00

It was hilariously funny to pick up pikmins and sheep with the stick. I almost lost it when I picked up the big alien from Signs the Movie. Heh heh. I had a lot of fun playing this game, the only problems would be the camera movement. It seemed not to follow the mouse intuitively. But great job! I hope you can make something more out of this!

The Legend of the Yo-Yo Salesman by seankimdesign 2015-04-24T00:41:00

Great job, The way the yo-yo worked was awesome. I felt like the character moved just a hair too slow.

Wounded by Words by Traumendes_Madchen 2015-05-09T21:44:00

I am astounded. This entry has so much emotion, and the audio was phenomenal. The characters were totally real and believable. Great Job! You are fantastic, thank you for creating such a compelling VN in such a short time.

Late For Class by taviandir 2015-04-23T10:57:00

It was really fun. The controls were not so intuitive, though. I liked the different ways of dispatching classmates!

CactusGhostHunting by StefanDJagers 2015-05-09T11:23:00

Interesting weapon choice. The game was well done, intuitive.

The narrator is dyxleic by madflame991 2015-05-10T19:04:00

The story was amazing accounts of unconventional weapons. The puzzle got a bit daunting, but I enjoyed playing with letters of a word like that, something I don't believe I have ever experienced in a game before.

Pebble's Bakery by simon.parzer 2015-05-09T11:00:00

Hilarious game. Definitely a challenge, but fun as heck. Keep up the good work :)

Shopping Riot by Incinious 2015-04-24T06:52:00

Absolutely hilarious, saw it on Taunia_sabanski's twitch stream and had to check it out. Controls are a bit unclear at first, but the sheer thrill and absurdity make this a masterpiece given you only had 72 hours. Kudos. -Evan/Solidplasma of Impossibleleaf

Solipsism by Wdavemart 2015-05-08T10:35:00

I didn't understand what to do in the game, the enemies seemed to be stacked impossibly on the second level and were nonexistent on the first level. Also, it crashed upon collision with an enemy.

@terryg thanks!

Class Clown by impossibleleaf 2015-04-24T06:30:00

Thanks everyone. It makes me very happy that people are enjoying this, especially considering I (Evan/Solidplasma ie, the programmer) had some other stuff scheduled for the weekend. I ended up finishing at basically EXACTLY 9PM, so I'm sorry that there wasn't more to it.

Class Clown by impossibleleaf 2015-05-09T20:09:00

Thank you everyone for the great critiques! We'll keep the teacher AI in mind for the future, and definitely feeling that lower-right kid in level 2, always the last one caught whenever I played through the game.

Math Quest by SarahFrisk 2015-04-29T22:20:00

Great Game! I love math. And D&D. This was a great blend of the two. So happy we rescued Frank. The only improvement I can think of would be to have different types of PCs that Bee would have to fight. But I liked the rogue(?)/hobbit(?) guy graphically. And great use of an unconventional weapon. Thanks for making this.
