The resolution was quite low (for me atleast), but besides that there are some cool ideas in this game !

Neat concept! The physics was a bit buggy but besides that I liked it! :)
Very interesting game! I like the concept! It sticks out among the rest for me.
For constructive feedback, I'd say that the transition texts should be able to be closed by the click of a button, instead of I having to wait for it to disappear (maybe I'm a fast reader). The interactions with the plants should perhaps also be cancellable.
For a game with such focus on voice recording, I think a higher quality recording device would've helped the game a lot :)
I like this game idea a lot! :) I found myself cheering when it went well, and complaining about my stupid mistakes in the game!
The graphics were nice and the AI was cute, haha! It has potential to become something cool :)
@TD5, @jpverkamp: Huh that's weird. It's not a game feature, I guarantee you! :D
I tried multiple browsers and computers and haven't encountered this problem you two mention :(
@clyde, @modbox: Hehe thanks! :D I'm rating games now!
@mrexcessive: Thanks for the comment. What was your issue, exactly? :)
@WeaselZone: Thanks for playing! I realised that some mechanics weren't obvious too late :/ I will remember this for next time for sure :)
@kyyrma: Thanks! Yeah I had major time constraints hehe :'( There were so much I wanted to do with this game, but I didn't have enough time. I think I aimed a bit too high.
@43iscoding: Thank you! :D I had great fun!
@MyougaHiroshi: Thanks you very much, kind sir! :D
@dusho: Haha thanks. The arrows are buggy but they work most of the time... :D Yeah I wanted to raycast check the summoning location, but that was another victim of time constraints :(
@Macocco: Haha yeah I agree - it's a shame. I didn't manage my time well enough to make graphics for the real level :'( The bow part is something I should've prioritized :/
Really interesting mechanics! Nice gameplay, nice graphics! :) Great work!
Really innovative idea!! While loading the game, I was hoping to hear a voice say it's desired destination call number. With some sounds this game would be even better! Good work! :)
Really cool game!! :)
really fun and clean game! it has a lot of potential!
I dno why you added that random height thing when the level is cleared, just made me confused for a second every time :)
Wow, really psychadelic graphics haha. i kinda like how if you lose all your balls , you have nothing else to do than to wait for the falling blocks to kill me - gave me a kinda "oh shit i am really going to die!"-feel in my stomach :)
Difficult game, but I love the concept to bits!! Is there a win screen in the end somewhere? To really nail the concept with "entire game on one screen" one could've included a frame around the game, to really make it look like you're playing on a heart rate monitor device screen. :)
Haha you even made the font during the 48 hours? I thought creating fonts takes a really long time? :O Cozy game, for sure. It took me a while to realise that the stars in the background are rotating too :D
Very cute game! Lovely graphics and audio. Couldn't beat the maze tho :'(
Very clean and cool! I liked it alot. A bit simplistic perhaps but I think it's kind of the game's charm. The ambient music is cozy :3
this is a rly cute game haha. nice with the multiplayer. would be hilarious if the push effects were even stronger!:D
great game! my finger is dead by all the spamming now, though...
The controls didnt feel like they did what you described :/
nice concept but i couldnt get past level 4 no matter how fast I was :(
Very beautiful game! The controls and mechanics felt very wonky to me, though. Sometimes he wouldnt jump, sometimes he wouldnt move, the balls fling you to the end of the world sometimes and there is no obvious way to stop it, esp when the character doesnt react to space. :p
Fun concept! As someone else said, I almost expected the sound to adapt to the waves - that would've really taken the game to an entire new level! Still good fun game, the lose screen comment made me laugh HARD :D:D:D
a good game!! it feels like a flaw to not being able to do friendly movements of resources. It wouldve been nice if the game was explained more in teh actual game. :)
nice concept and really fits the theme! :D
Hahahahaha this game is hilarious :D
I feel like I HAVE TO link this music video if you don't already know about it, "Slagsmålsklubben - Snälla TV PLZ": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3C_DoHe2qw Having that music video on while playing makes the game even better :'D
Neat concept that has much potential. The game gets me this feeling that there's fat loot somewhere out there in the map :)
I wouldn't had minded if the pace was a little higher though.
I think the connection to the theme is slightly farfetched - I had to read the description to get it, and even then I'm not sure, hehe. I think it#s cause of how the transitions between the rooms look n feel.
Regardless, it was a fun and charming game! :)
I love that you have snowmen in the game haha. Don't be hard on yourself, as you said doing something is better than nothing at all! Cheers!
really nice game i must say!!
Fun idea! I could probably use a scan myself...
Difficult game! Might've been better if instead of increasing your pace, you just control yourself to the left n right of the screen - that way you get more of a feel of the impact of your pace increase and decreases.
Really really fun to play. It gets ridiculous after 50% in the topleft, haha. Music is really catchy!
I quickly found that the "right" way to play this game is to hold down Up or Down while dodging to the sides. I just had to keep tabs on the orange little devils while the other circle types were basically just clutter :)
Great game! I'll come back and play more later of this for sure - gotta rate more games first!
There's some really great and clever level design going on here for only 48 hours! I also love the music! Maybe I was imagining things, but I kinda sensed the music changing as I found gems along with the colors, hehe. Good entry for sure! :)
quite fun game!
Cute aesthetics to this game :) great idea to have health for this kind of game in a ludumdare context - most people would probably be too frustrated if they got game over too quickly and not try the game properly.
Thanks for all the kind comments, everyone! :)
Maybe it wasn't obvious, but when you fall down into a hole in the level, you end up on the opposite side of the map. I guess I should've made that clear. Or maybe your bugs are something i havent discovered yet? :p
hey my game has a similiar name to yours! :D
fun game but the teleport after the bong minigame is really obnoxious and awkward :(
Cute graphics but as someone else said, unless you have a controller the keyboard controls feels awkward :/
I think it's a really cool idea how the clicks and progress is represented below. :) very soothing for some reason...
I got a crash too when I tried to play this game. It's not obvious that the game and the source code is in the same link. Can't they be separated? Ie one zip for the project, one zip for the Release folder? :)
Haha super fun!! :D At first I thought it was gonna be too simple with such low cooldown on spacebar, then I got into phase 2.... I could only manage to get to 35.35 seconds no matter how hard I tried :'(
Haha this game was quite fun once I understood what was going on :D
I really like the concept of having only sounds as your guide! With some polish this could probalby be really great!"
fun game haha. im not sure if you actually CAN win?? after a while it seems like the decay is going sooo fast. The concept is fanatastic though and really gives you a sense of crisis and good economy game too!
are there any drawbacks on going fullblown ads in every state?
Haha i love this game! I dont know how you did it but the game made me wanna try again after every game over, I just had to beat the boss!! I did it eventually, YATTA! :D Good job guys!
nice presentation fo the game, however its quite hard to be fast when there is this wonky bouncing off the walls
i love the looks of the game and the music! So brilliant :D
The game itself was quite hard though! T_T
cute game!
neat little game. the enemies' pathfinding was a bit wonky tho :p
haha dey be cute, mon!
good game but never quite understood the purpose of "focus" ?
Fun game! I ended up going always having a closed ship as I couldn't see any advantage to keeping it open, and then just rammed into everything that spawned by staying near the top edge of the game, wioth the occasional teleport to save the ship. Dno if it is one hit kills, but some hp indication wouldve been nice :D Great entry nontheless!
Haha I had fun playing this. The x2 shooting speed is so cruel for one's survival :O
I got 13800!! What do I win? (I don't want a snowman)
Cool idea! I had something similiar in mind at first, but in the end I did something different in my game!
A fun but difficult game! The aestethics are a bit all over the place, but still a great entry.
I love the daring take on the theme, haha :D
I've played it through twice and I'm not really sure what it wanted me to do. Guess I chose the wrong conversational options. Cute graphics tho, nice effort! :)
Really clean and great entry!
A really great game and an interesting take on the theme. A few times i wasn't 100% sure what was background and what was platforms you could stand on.
I understand that you only had 72 hours but I want to make a few improvement suggestions that would've made the game EVEN better:
1) I've no idea how hard I am charging. Would be nice to have like a charge bar appear every time, maybe towards the mouse cursor?
2) Maybe a crosshair? This combined with (1) = Worms Armageddon's bazooka.
3) The last small bounces are quite redundant and only serves to make me slightly frustrated. It would be nice if the bouncing got "cancelled" faster.
4) Maybe an option to cancel the bouncing altogether and return to slime ball state?
Since it's a slime ball, maybe it can attach to walls? :)
Absolutely beautiful game with a super lovely and fitting music theme to it, the effects were good too!
Clean nice graphics! :)
As someone else already said, I don't understand why you HAVE TO HAVE a controller to be able to play this :( It's gonna really limit the amount of people that can play (and thus rate) your game!
hahahaha this game is hilarious. You truly capture everything i hate about operas!
Cute game! Lots of level content! :O To give one small critism, the vertical resolution was so low that if I sometimes walked straight into enemies before even noticing them xD But maybe im just have slow reaction speed.
It's a good game, but there are some design choices I do not understand. The movement of the character is very wonky and glidy. His movements are super sensitive and is more or less impossible (for me) to get a good handle on. That in combination with the very unforgiving level design in terms of pitfalls and recovery (ie there is no recovery if you fall down, which I did a lot because of the wonky character movement) made it so that half of the times I had to restart because the character would fall down somewhere rather than not solving the puzzle.
I can get behind the idea that you only have 3 planes to shoot. But when their trajectory is so majorly unpredictable, and you aren't really allowed to miss it makes the game frustrating rather than fun.
The fact that I can comment on stuff that's on this level is proof your entry is good! :) More planes, stable character movement and a more forgiving level design (in terms of movement) would've made the game even better. Cheers!
Hahahahaha this game omg i laughed so much playing this :D
Cute and funny game! However, i didn't understand if tehre is a way to aim the carrot attacks? Without proper aiming it was pretty difficult to destroy the enemies so i never got past round 1 :(
So gory and so many enemies, I couldn't see anything! Felt like no matter what I did I would always lose. Great graphics and I like the music!
Gorgeous graphics, bro! The level design could've been better at times, I feel. The bullet-time timing was difficult on occasion but once I got the hang of it, it became m
Checked your previous entries, I remember your LD30 game! :D Great stuff as usual mate
Hahaha I must say you probably have the best game name in all of the ludum dare games ! :D
I didn't get any feedback on anything I did, nothing died and i didnt get any money so I'm afraid I did not quite understand this game! Cute music though.
Couldn't start game, got this error "The program can't start because d3dx10_43.dll is missing from your computer."
Maybe I don't have DirectX10 installed, huh? >_<
For me Attack1 far from always fired. Don't really understood why. Did Attack2 do anything at all? o_O
I had a very quick health regen which was a bit overpowered, but besides that a funny little game! :)
Once I understood it, it was very interesting! Great entry!
I liked the phone call, really made it sound like one! Good job on both audio and graphics.
Hilarious game haha, could you share the source code? I'm a unity developer myself and is interested how you implemented that weapon mechanic.
Super difficult game!
I'm sorry but i dont understand this game! :(
The weird shapes in the design database view looked weird when switching between them (the left green shape is "dragged" across the screen during the iteration) but besides that, great game! Love the art!
There is no real reason to get any different kind of shape than square, since thats the only one that can destroy the level. Fairly easy game once u get a hang of the controls.
The way I died was that after about 2500 points I somehow managed to cause a chain reaction that destroyed about half the objects in the level and thus also respawned ~200 shapes all around me (safe to say it lagged a whole lot, and dont let me get into the sound hehe), which proved to be too much.
I feel like the game could benefit more if it had more taret seeking enemies, and some kind of collectible or other incentive to make the player go explore more.
I must agree about the static grains - there must be some other effect to get the mood you are striving for.
Overall, artistic game, the concept is cool. Not many games like this in the competition - original.
I am also getting a crash when trying to start the game.
Cool game but very difficult, couldnt get far. Seemed to me like the player was independant on the boxes to click the buttons, but getting the boxes where you wanted was a complete nightmare.
I had lots of fun playing it! Has potential. Dont really see where the theme is in this, though.
The controls were a bit difficult, especially since you could only shoot forward. Without the "smoothing" of the turning it would perhaps been better.
I felt like the game was mostly getting lucky and taking out as much as possible when you enter a new room, since u have a grand opportunity then because they are all clumped up.
I actually preferred flying/moving backwards and shooting (rather than forward)! :)
I'm not sure but it looked to me like the enemies could kill each other? Something made the death sound when i wasnt shooting atleast!
The gameplay was fun! Interesting level design. The default shape reminded me of Super Meat Boy! :D
Sometimes enemies bullets would come flying through walls from far away, hehe. I felt it was a bit difficult to get a feel for the jumping and when I was actually in air and when I had landed.
Good choice of music.
Really beautiful and cute! I struggle to see how the theme fits in to this, though.
It was super laggy for me, to the point of being practically unplayable. :/
Good game!
Only thing i can criticize is that I didnt really like that it had to blink for 1 second before i could remove a placed tile.
Some ideas I had for improvement, but are probably outside the scope of this gamejam:
* Limits to the attempt of tries one gets.
* Limited time to prepare the map.
* More kinds of map manipulation (jump, charge, destroy something, etc).
* Manipulate map while he is walking
I quite enjoyed this! Some kind of background music wouldve made it even better.
Only improveable thing I can think of is that I would've like some more solid control over when the slimy friend did its jumps, but still managed to get through the whole game.
The umbrella falling segment reminded me of VVVVVV.
Kind of difficult-to-understand game. The shooting was working weirdly and I sometimes shapeshifted automatically I think? I could be trying to shoot some enemies and then suddenly I get a "didnt get to shifto" game over screen.
However, I like that the maps seemed to be randomly generated.
Im gonna have to echo MatLab, "I didn't understand anything XD"
Difficult! After 4 attempts I still have no idea how to tell what is the shapeshifter. Maybe I'm too tired after the Jamming ^_^;
The idea was cool, I like the idea but:
This is the first entry where the game actually crashed for me. Also way too simple in the beginning - there are spots that don't really get hit - I stood in a specific place even while it switched backgrounds at several times per second and I could just stand there until it crashed.
Solid entry.
Positives:
Very nice switching and form ideas, good level design (would have been happy to play some harder levels though after learning the basics), good control, good concept,
Negatives:
No SFX, it felt like the buster mode was going to fall off the screen sometimes (intended?) and sometimes it bounced off material it should've been able to run through.
I like the entry, solid gameplay! :)
Nice clean graphics. Light concept similar to the Swapper, but with a spin. Could have used better overview of level and possibly some control suggestions during game play to teach the player how to control the different forms.
Interesting concept! The key combinations for making the groups shapeshift was really weird, hehe.
It's never really explained what the different shapes do, like what their "speciality" is.
It only wanted to jump sometimes when I tried SPACE :(
The music put a smile on my face! :D
I feel like the concept you had in mind was very good, but failed to deliver its full potentital.
Unfortunately the game was pretty buggy with the shapeshifting (got stuck multiple times) and the level design was a bit confusing. There were lots of big maps but there wasnt any need to utilize large parts of them (for example, see screenshot 4 in this entry - its a huge map but you only needed to jump up, shift to hoverboard and go right to the finish. Nothing else on that map is needed). Also very difficult to see where the goal was, took me a while before I realized that there was a special tile that had "finish" scribbled on it. Something that stood on the ground instead wouldve been much better.
Lastly, in a game like this, a manual reset button would've been very nice (esp since its buggy^^).
Fun but very difficult. Those "info boxes" (or what you wanna call them) I couldnt see in game when I played, which would've helped a lot with choosing the kind of animal I would go for.
Good control. Shapeshift took too long - also being damaged should've had an effect like a stun or stop the player for a little bit. Good job :)
It seemed to me that the only way to get my health back to full was to upgrade health between maps, which I feel is not optimal design. The upgrades werent completely logical - "Upgrade Cooling" and "Reduce overheating" in effect pretty much does the same thing, no? :)
Still had fun tho!
Hey, fun gameplay! This has potential. I was thinking during the first level that this concept would be fun as a kind of "speed runner", and then I got to Level 2 and there it was!
One thing that limited the fun for me, was that the controls felt a bit slow/sluggish or unresponsive. It would sometimes take the character around 1 second to transform back to human shape after I released shift (and vice versa). Also, the thing following the player in Level 2 should probably follow a directed pattern or something, because he always ended up taking a shortcut thru the map and thus catching up to even faster than if I wouldve been slow. :)
Good job!
Fun game! It was a bit difficult to remember which shape was effective against what. The controls felt a bit unresponsive and the enemies sometimes spawned on top of each other or on top of the player O_O
Difficult but lots of fun! Wouldn't have minded if it was a bit more zoomed out. Felt a little like the bots had omni-vision but I couldnt see anything in order to aim at someone :)
Good job!
Nice game, I liked the design and humor.
The text could've stayed longer (didn't have time to read it most of the time). Also some kind of zoom out would have been nice to find other planets.
some more gameplay mechanic would be good.
Nice game.
I couldnt figure this game out at all. No instructions on how to accomplish anything. I managed to get some fishes jumping around and then dying, but thats about it.
Nice design. Alright gameplay.
Would have liked more consistent rotation - sometimes it feels like it gets stuck when I try to rotate (even when i pause a little bit between strokes).
Good entry.
I liked the human to ball transition and the concept. It would be nice if it felt like you had better control overall.
I dont know if it was intentional or not, but i love that human characters are shaped like penguins and walk like penguins! :D
Good job!
Difficult because it spawns so many and killing them has too severe consequences when one is just trying to deliver the correct hat. Good game tho!
The fact that i couldnt type fast was a bit frustrating, but besides that a very lovely game! Congratulations :)
very interesting concept! Like someone else said, wouldnt had mind if the spawning of cards was more frequent. :)
Lovely graphics, a bit sad to see it end so soon! :p
Earthquakes and 2x mob health made the game very difficult! The consequence of earthquakes is that I as a player didnt really feel like upgrading towers. Made it to Wave 8!
I really like the concept! With some more refined AI, maybe some puzzle elements, this could really turn into something truly awesome. Good entry, congratulations!
My antivirus blocked the exe file when I tried to open it. :(
Fun game tho! I feel like the number of zombies that spawned were a bit too many, and would also liked if the whole level didnt reset after one hit (rather multiple hits before reset)
I forgot I was playing a Ludum Dame game, which I think is a good praise! Nice little game! I'm impressed!
I didnt quite understand the game. I never more than one hit before "GAME OVER", even tho imo I hit the timings well. It could benefit from being a lot fewer "nodes" in the beginning. Lovely entry tho!
Interesting concept, altho it seemed very buggy to me - the frost tower shot only itself, no towers shot at all after the first wave.
Im super impressed by the solution bot! All generated levels were WAY TOO HARD though, even on "easy". Couldnt finish a single one, and the suggested answer was like professional chess player level complex, haha.
Cannot download it anywhere?
