Rated 5 for everything except 4 for Graphics.
Nice retro style!
Hit detection could be better, but graphics are quite nice.
Quite average performance at best. Exploding people? Bee shooting the sting from the head? This game doesn't make much sense, and Hitler is just so much unrelated.
Too hard if you try too fast, too easy if you're slow and Commandos-style.
Not a much of a deep gameplay, but quite a funny game. Easily 5/5 for Theme and Fun.
Cool game, I like how the graphics switch as you progress.
Somehow, I've got "#0" for Innovation with 4.29.
Monotonous and difficult like a really old videogame (I mean this as a compliment). Still, nice. Congrats on your first entry!
Looks and sounds very good, but for unknown reason lags horribly at the start, and I couldn't beat it.
Humorous one. Maybe lacks some sounds, but well done. Nice style, too.
5 for Humor, instantly. Of course, I was destined to end with like 75% finished game and almost dying without sleep. Should have a Jam continue mode!
Has technical flaws, but is somewhat charming. Music loop is good.
Started getting weird half-built levels after level 3 (for a few times, then they were normal). Then the enemy would either give me a time bonus, or not, and without it, you'll just fail and have to wait while the level is rebuilded. Anyway, level 4 (Or was that 5? There's no in-game number.) was too hard for me, learning curve should be more smooth there.
All in all, nice. 5 for Theme.
Not bad. Poison Darts and Sticky Bombs are excessively hard to master, in my opinion. Nice shining letters.
The same sounds get irritating quickly, could be better with some variations. As for the gameplay, there isn't much of it. Seems that mouse is a bad choice to play it.
Liked this game for the atmosphere and gameplay smoothness. Is a little too easy, in my opinion. Didn't get enough of it.
Not a big replay value, but: smooth gameplay, stylish retro pixels and very accompanying music.
Not predictable, but tasty! I mean, funny.
Got bored after 2100 and getting several Kittens in a row, and then failed when opening all the boxes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong - not drinking beer before playing, to be exact.
Good audio.
Pure hardcore, like I Wanna Be The Guy, but without shooting and other insanity. Took like a hundred of tries to beat. Nice!
After beating the Compo version, I've found a music file in the game's subdirectory, and thought - "But it doesn't play in the game?..". Listened to it like it's a reward for beating the game, heh.
The Jam version seems to be different just for the music. After you've learned the way to evade everything, that's only a single try to beat it all. Nice music (sounds too), suits the gameplay.
By the way, game window scaling goes wrong on widescreen resolutions like 1366x768 - couldn't read the lowest text in the intro screen without a resolution change. Encountered no other bugs.
Apparently, this game doesn't notice (or doesn't have) the frame limit, so it runs with insane speed on my machine. I've got more than 300 death before stacking only the 5 levels, and it's going too fast.
Still, there's a good idea over there.
Nice audio and bullet time effect out there.
"Narration related time dilation", heh.
5 for the Black Humor, and the narration was actually good.
Wow, those were an intense visuals. Stylish audio-gameplay synchro!
Short, but self-contained. Took me two tries to beat.
Kind of pointless and badly instructed (no gestures list, even in-game), but very smooth visual and audio design. Could've use different landscapes and terrain types for a more rich gaming experience.
Whoa, what a take on the story. It was short, but I've enjoyed its smooth gameplay and nice music. Cool that you've made a joystick support, too.
Very addictive, and excellent design, it doesn't even need a sound (its absense goes nicely with the hacking theme). I've gone through it two times, and I didn't get enough of this game, make more levels in a Post-Compo version! That's clearly the best game of Ludum Dare 27 for me.
Very funny sounds, but not very much to play. Also, the game doesn't seem to restart after the game over. Still, it gets very addictive if you figure out the survival tactics and become really desperate. I've managed to continue after four out-of-fuel bites!
Score: 206.27000007629395, now that's a joke! 5 for Humor.
Is there an ending?
Funny game. Player selection screen was somewhat counter-intuitive, I didn't get that I must press the Lock It (and not even understand the fact that it was a button at all - I thought it was some Tetris-style in-game screen already). Nice music.
Gets exhaustive soon, but immersive. Good work. Some typos still remain.
Quite original gameplay, stands out in the whole LD.
Hard mode is really hard here!
Are there no upgrades after wave 7? There's also an arrow on the screenshot, but game has no such weapon. Not bad a prototype, anyway.
Intense shooting action, well done! Bullet time bonus was surprising. Music and sounds really add the mood, too.
Well-done. Quite challenging, that's a concentration-demanding one.
Short, but not bad, especially for 8 hours.
Good music and gameplay, but lacks variety and polish in general. Updating scores manually would become too hard with many players, consider using/making an automatic system.
Level 3 takes too long to load, but the game is not bad overall. Would instantly become better if it had sounds or music (if you're not a composer, generated music is also a good choice, if it suits the game; same goes for sounds).
Funny art, well done. But I don't get why you start a 1-player game right after the instructions.
All in all - nice, but normal is just too easy for me, and hard is too hard.
Tried the Windows version, but couldn't go anywhere. Used the device, it worked (if the watch was right). But that game says there are no curtains when I want to look at them. Couldn't figure out what to do, but nice to see a text game in LD, check out mine.
Very funny game. Doesn't actually need a "-" button in the upgrades screen.
Solid narrative, that's right. Impressive polish and art!
Can't play, don't have OS/X. Looks nice anyway, congratulations on your first attempt!
Can you make a web version like this game has?
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-27/?action=preview&uid=23902
Good that you made a "Web" version of it. Not much of an innovation here, but no bugs, and looks cool.
Liked the idea, got through all of it.
Is it possible to score more than 4 in the final level? At first I thought that I should get three stars in every level to actually beat the game, but it seems impossible because of the last one.
Music fits perfectly!
Very nice art and surprising music at the start of the game. Somehow, the player was invulnerable (tried both characters), and there was no challenge because of this. Make the Post-Compo version, I liked where this game was going. Some level variations, upgrades shop and/or bosses would make this really cool.
Not a bad idea, but I failed to get much fun from this, knowing about the wind gauge and the controls.
Is the player supposed to move only once per a keypress? Also, I don't the the in-game instructions, it's all white. Using Opera 12.
Hardcore, that is! You'd better specify when exactly you update the archive. It seems that I've played the outdated version, and still I've got through the game, so it was not impossible.
The game was good enough, but felt slightly overloaded: invisibility is totally worse than immortality (while timeout does almost the same, gameplay-wise), and there are no places where you really need the high speed ability. But - good work with everything else, and the audio, too.
Really nice game, I liked it. The only thing that's weird is that you can simply buy a Theme Park costume and easily get $300/day until the very end - that's maybe not very realistic, while you earn $190/day as an Executive Assistant. But who knows, maybe that's how it is in that city. Good work!
What are the 2 achievements? I've got to all of the (three?) endings, with all of the three avatars, but nothing appeared.
Good game, but very hard to start. Human Jump and Bug Jump are absolutely useless.
Then, when you get Turtle Jump and Kilo Buster, you don't need anything else to finish the game at all. Too bad that, after winning, I can't even return to buy new stuff and have to restart to see all the parts.
Some weird walking animation is going on with Metal and MBat Legs equipped.
Also you can't shoot the energy weapons from the left edge of the screen - shots disappear.
killmonday, it seems that you've downloaded something wrong, this game isn't supposed to run in DOS window. Try again.
Tried really hard to crash the level 5, but that's just too difficult.
Could've use 10 seconds indicator in every level, if you ask me.
Excellent audio and mood.
Fine mechanics and smooth controls.
Nicely done, also fits the theme.
Couldn't win the game. Detailed art, though. Good luck with the full version.
Hilarious, especially the face remembering mini-game.
Made me laugh, what a hilarious way to describe the game mechanics! Instant fives for everything.
Every aspect of this game was great for me. Excellent teamwork.
Liked the game flow, and how you reused your water level mechanics from... some your previous game, I don't remember the name. But its character is right in your avatar. All in all, quite good.
Neat puzzle, very well-made.
Looks really good. As many people mentioned, it's rather hard, but that's certainly a nice start. Good luck.
Too hard, but funny.
Brilliant. And nice sounds too.
Should belong to the Jam division (the background photo), but whatever. Totally minimalistic.
5 for theme, but nothing much else, except it was interesting to read the Dev Diary. While source code itself isn't exactly a good example of how to code, it's completely easy to understand.
Quite illustrative. Good.
Cool strategy game, but only one level. I'd like to play more of that. Those game mechanics could sustain like three levels without a single change, just new maps. Nice sprites, too.
I ended up hiring like 200 penguins that got past the map borders because of the lack of space, while AI tried to fight me with some 5-10 penguins once per a minute or two.
Cool. This was not only minimalistic, but apparently low-budget and has very "hand-made" (and "mouth-made") feeling to it, which also fits the theme nicely. The ending sound effect was especially hilarious, as it was the same minimalistic effect, just more loud.
Also, it took two lives for me to realize that now I can jump mid-air.
And the last weapon was totally unexpected (didn't read the game description before playing).
Ending is a dead end screen?
Addictive and smooth. However, I didn't get how to start playing in the hardcore mode, which is said to become available at the end. Nothing new in the main menu.
At my first play, I've swept all the screen and there was no one left while the counter was at 70 or so.
Then... Oh OK, so there's "how to play" file. Then I understood. And there's also a "Help" button in the main menu, which I didn't want to press and forgot about its existence the moment after that.
There's an interesting concept behind this game, I liked it. Good work.
Interesting design, but it starts to consume too much of processor's power over time. (Blender version)
Either a camera change or some sort of radar would be very appropriate.
Dreamy one. At some moments it felt unreasonably hard, as I didn't see any logic about the walls appearing out of nowhere. Not bad, anyway. Got to the end (?), and brought the other square to the beginning of the level, but nothing happened.
Also, there's another game entitled "Minima" in this LD26!
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-26/?action=preview&uid=21295
Didn't go through the entire game, but it felt good enough, and the idea is funny.
Success! (I've solved it.) Really liked the puzzle mechanics and the difficulty curve. Instant 5 for almost everything.
Quite a fearsome experience. First I shot someone, and then I just lost. The game flow is very short, but intriguing and interesting.
At first, I was like "Just what IS that thing?". Then, I remembered I have no Kinect. The concept is interesting, but apparently I couldn't rate what I couldn't control. Good luck.
Rather depressive, and somehow touching. I liked this game session.
Escaped alive! Easy and addictive. Music was nice too.
Got to the end (THE END?), didn't actually understand a thing. At some moment, sound effects started to get irritating. All in all, pretty minimalistic.
Smooth design and controls, you certainly should keep working on it.
Sounds like an interesting project, but I couldn't run it. Doesn't even open. Windows XP. Other Java games run fine.

Everything OK, except it runs at something like 15-20FPS, either in a browser or just with the Java. Good work, anyway.
Fits the theme, good music and graphics, but it's so hard (especially the cats) and short. Has some potential.
Funny name, but I didn't get a thing about the game meaning. Just a prototype.
Quite lengthy (being compared to many other LD#23 projects), and humorous. It's even with a fitting music!
You forgot a parenthesis in the printfs.
Empress: "Now venture through the forest of Ymir and do not perish!" - I remembered the good old Terminal Velocity. Check out the Ymir theme:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1dwdlzGDnA
World of Tor-At?.. Tarot?..
Not bad. Hotkeys to perform the "comet storm" and "vaporise" would be nice.
Interesting game idea, but too hard and feels unfinished.
Cool game concept!
The weak point is the building/upgrade/research controls, could be better if up/down arrow keys could cycle through the available options (not exceeding the currently available on the list, which expands as you continue to hold the C button). Also, the asteroid collision sound is irritating, and sometimes they seem to be stuck in collision, producing really loud and confusing sounds. This seems to be even in a post-compo build.
Polished to the degree of a masterpiece. Excellent work.
Really promising game mechanic. Could become a great game if you continue to work on it.
Well-crafted and finished.
Excellent. Very smooth design and audio.
Weird but innovative. Worth giving a shot.

Zombie Apocalypse by LudumDareDevil 2026-10-25T18:43:07Z ♥ 1
You can heal indefinitely by pressing E at the place where the heart was - it just becomes invisible and still heals. Pretty challenging game. Would prefer sounds over the elephant. Also, logically, the elephant gets under the turrets fire, come on!
cassette 1998 by Alexandru Barbanoua 2026-10-25T18:30:57Z ♥ 1
Listened to the audio several times, didn't get a clue what to do. The toy doesn't seem to respond to the button presses. Wha...?
