Good ol' Bob, protecting us from those nasty luxuries! Fun game. :)
A good trial-and-error puzzler. I really enjoyed it!
Awesome title! Every time I read it, I hear it in the classic movie-announcer voice. It lends itself so well to sequels: "Revenge 2: Son of a fish!"; "Revenge 3: A fish best served cold!"
Also: solid gameplay and graphics. Great job!
Great stick man animations!
Awesome! I loved the voice acting! I'm a huge sci-fi & murder-mystery fan so this was a real treat.
I love frustrating skill games like this! I didn't complete it, but I had fun trying!
Good game!
Excellent expression of the theme!
Good game! I was able to play it to completion and I was impressed that you could convey the goals in such a "minimalist" manner. Well done!
Excellent game! The grapics, audio and gameplay are all top-notch!
That was absolutely unparalleled! My favorite game so far!
The perfect game for the self-hating perfectionist!
Great voice-acting! ;)
Excellent game!
Fun and I definitely like that different shapes fire on different vectors.
Bullet hell! I like the idea of changing color to avoid damage/damage the enemies, it keeps you on your toes.
I really like the game mechanics. The character animation when you hit a wall and the bell sound were cool. I also liked that the torches only lasted a short time, so you have to ration them out only when you need them and risk missing a side passage.
Well done!
I didn't mind the music. It help keep me calm when the ball was moving fast!
A nice take on a classic genre!

At that point the sound is like something out of a nightmare.
Great minimalist TD game!
It took me a minute, but this is awesome! Very well done!
I farted a lot. :)
I love the idea of UT in Atari graphics!
Interesting concept. How WOULD a blind person deal with zombies? Well done!
I love that you slow down the materialists with a minimalist painting. It's like they're stopping to try to understand it before moving on and attacking the town hall!
Oops, I said "the Unity3D Pro trial key offered on the Ludum Dare "Tools" page", but it was actually on the "Deals" page.
Updated to include sound! (ambient sounds only)
@Dusty: Thank you very much! I was worried that it might be too depressing.
Thank you for the feedback!
@nintendoeats: I was so focused on rushing to complete the game that I didn't think how it would affect colorblind individuals. I've added a link to a "Jam" version which uses shapes and text to denote healed wounds and critical patients. Hopefully this makes the game more playable.
Thank you all for your feedback! I appreciate all of your comments and suggestions!
@Ray_Mickelino: Yeah, a couple of my friends have commented on that. I didn't realize how inconvenient it was until I played it a few more times myself. I'll definitely keep this sort of thing in mind for future games.
@SquaredMuffin: The original idea was to give each soldier a different number of wounds and have them "bleed out" more quickly with more wounds. However, as time progressed I felt that I wouldn't be able to complete the game if I spent too much time trying to implement that functionality. Hopefully as I gain more experience with game development (this was my first) I'll be able to implement features more quickly.
You are a gifted storyteller. Excellent game!
Fantastic game! Very literal interpretation of the theme and I liked it! The controls are solid and the gameplay is excellent. Great job, great game!
Awesome game! It really got my heart pounding!
I love how the pace of the game ramps up. It really got my heart beating!
Nice game, very fast-paced! I like that you have powerups and penalties falling. It forces the player to avoid spam-clicking.
The core mechanics are solid! Good game!
Very cool mechanic! Good puzzle-platformer!
Very addictive! I love the mechanic of going transparent/invisible as you speed up, it adds a new level of challenge.
A very interesting concept! I hope you do expand it into a bigger game!
Fantastic game! The sound track is awesome and I really loved the visual style.
Darn cars are quick!
I love that each player has fire control for the other player's cannon! Cool idea!
Very suspenseful! Where will the red blocks be?! Reminded me of Doctor Who's Weeping Angels.
I like the fact that you keep moving when the lights come back on, it forces you choose between safety and speed.
It's every platformer I've ever played!
The controls are very responsive and I love the death animation/sound!
Cool take on an old classic! The AI seemed pretty competent, good job!
Beautiful graphics! This is a really great game for your first time. You should be proud!
A new take on an old classic!
Great use of suspense! Good game!
Excellent first-person-puzzler! You came up with a lot of good levels in a short time. Good job!
Heh, when the character turned horizontal I thought he had died. Good game!
A very powerful message.
The graphics style and background music really set the mood. Good game! I like existential trips like this.
Very well-rounded game!
A good minimalist puzzler!
Beautiful game, both visually an aurally! Well done!
That was fun! The glide functionality is cool and it made the platforming easier than it might otherwise have been.
The menace was very "menacing"!
I love the level transition effect!
Fun game that definitely fits the theme!
Very cool! How did you implement the rewind mechanic?
Please do keep working on it. This looks like the beginning of a very cool game!
I like Interactive Fiction games. It's cool to see one taking advantage of more modern technology as this one does.
I like the fact that you have to stop in order to attack. It adds a bit of strategy. I also really like the graphics style. Fun game!
Excellent game! The music and text really set the mood!
Very fun retro game! Post-apocalyptic pizza delivery!
Great idea for a "10 seconds" game! You are literally trying to put together 10 seconds from the components on the left. Very innovative!
Excellent graphics and animations! This game is very reminiscent of the old Sergio Leone westerns. Great job!
The clone idea is very cool!
Fun, well-polished game!
Great game! I'm impressed that you were able to make so many different mini games work so well in so little time. Monkey Island reference FTW!
Very cool game! The intertwined fates are fun to follow.
This is so fun! The chase aspect really makes you sweat. Excellent graphics and audio and the controls are solid. This is a very impressive game!
Thank you everyone for the feedback!
I tested the game in Chrome and IE but not Firefox, which was a big oversight on my part. Also I understand that the upgrade system is not balanced very well. For the next LD I need to find people to test the game while I'm developing it so I can address these sorts of things.
Thank you everyone for the excellent feedback! I've updated the post-compo version to address some of these issues. Also, I've now tested the game with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and IE and I'm not seeing any of the reported issues with sound or images. Please let me know what browser version you guys are using.
I'm still working on an option for giving the player something to do during the 10 seconds in the arena. I don't want to give the player full control of the bot because it's a rodeo and you're not supposed to be in control of the ride. I have some ideas about limited manual control or adding buttons to buff/heal the bot (on a cooldown timer). I'll update the post-compo version with some more new features.
The web player worked for me. Very cool idea! I've seen one other similar game (with Jekyll and Hyde instead of werewolves) for this LD, but I like this one better.
Very cool game idea. The narrow streets really raise the difficulty.
Must! Eat! Music! Legend!
"I have a big head... And little arms..." - T-Rex
I love MMOs and I love CTF! Finally someone brought them both together!
Fun game! None of the bugs were really game-breaking and this is pretty impressive for only having a few week experience with C++. Great job!
This is a cool idea! It's fun to try to frantically guess the goal.
I really liked the combination of two different graphics styles (the level versus the character). The music really helped set the mood.
Great title and tag line! This game is very fun! The controls are very easy to use and the sound effects excellent!
TimeSuckers, lol! Fun game!
Definitely a very good game engine! I hope you make this into a full game.
Great classic RPG feel!
I like the fact that you can't place the arrows until the timer starts. It adds pressure that helps differentiate this from similar puzzle games.
Hah! I love the little mutants you can create!
Great action/platformer!
Awesome graphics! Controller support is very cool!
A classic adventure game. Very fun!
Beautiful graphics and audio! I like that the rings give you a short speed boost so it's more difficult to hit the next ring if you're not lined up correctly ahead of time.
Very cool game! The swarm control style is a really fun and interesting concept.
This game is awesome! I just kept laughing. The combination of level design and powerups makes for a challenging and fun game. Great job!
A nice spin on a classic genre!
It feels like a complete game. Very well done!
Yeah this is a very cool way to do turn-based strategy while giving it a sense of urgency. Multiplayer would be awesome!
I like your interpretation of the theme, it makes your game stand out from the crowd! The intro is awesome and the graphics and gameplay are solid. Very good job!
The one thing lacking from almost every game out there: the toilet simulator. This is very funny! Also I like the screenshot of your brainstorming notes. It's cool to see how people work. Have you considered livestreaming?
The controls felt very smooth. For a from-scratch game in 48 hours, this is impressive!
Love the sound effects!
Very solid platformer! I like the snooze button device.
Cool game! The graphics style was easy on the eyes and the narration was pretty good!
Awesome! I love the notepad/hand-drawn graphics style!
Pinball and destruction: Two great tastes that go great together!
Typing gameplay is a cool idea! The graphics style is very cool.
Great-looking game! The controls need a little polish, but not bad.
Smooth controls and a good game idea. Just need to up the difficulty a bit.
Thank you everyone for the positive comments! We'll be better prepared for the next LD! :D
I like the fact that the different weapons had different speeds. Also, it was cool that the "hero" changed pattern over time. Good game!
Top marks! Solid controls, great SFX and GFX. The story was hilarious.
Impressive game! Very funny and I love the art style.
I love RTS games and this was a good one. Very impressive mechanics in such a short time.
Cool concept! Unfortunately the game was too big to fit on my monitor. That made it difficult to play.
Very cool concept! Would probably work better on a phone, with a touch screen.
Very cool game idea! You should definitely flesh it out some more.
An impressive strategy game for such a short time period.
I like a game that revolves around a simple mechanic. Great graphics! Good casual game.
I love the hand-drawn graphics! That gives the game a lot of character. Also, the idea of "monsters" helping each other is something I haven't seen. Very cool!
Fantastic graphics and soundtrack! For some reason I couldn't move, though. I was drumming ASD per the instructions. Running on latest version of Chrome.
Great game! I never realized how difficult it was for those poor ghosts. ;)
Great game! Tight controls and straightforward gameplay.
I amazed that you were able to put together such a tight RTS in so little time! Gratz on that!
Good game. Was difficult to see the cops amongst all the bodies, lol!
Beautiful artwork! Simple gameplay is a plus.
Really cool mechanic for a strategy game!
Darn players! :D
Loved the hand-drawn graphics and a capella audio!
I knew the flies were doing it on purpose! Great game! Cool idea.
Very impressive game! Hilarious concept, well executed!
I like this kind of minigame. The implementation was good, but the controls were unclear.
The graphics and music were great!
Very smooth and and simple gameplay. That makes the game pretty fun. Just need some awesome destruction sounds and screams! :D
Very solid game! Also very fun. :) Those archers are mean!
Cool graphics style. The controls were pretty tight!
Very cool simulation game! Unfortunately I couldn't really tell a difference in the results based on what I was upgrading.
The logs were pretty funny, though!
Wow this is a very professional-quality game. The way you introduce gameplay elements is quite intuitive. Excellent job!
Great game! I appreciate the controller support. I really like the graphics: Simple but easy to identify/differentiate.
Would be nice if I could control the camera. :)
This is a great game! Only missing some sound to go with the sweet art style.
Yeah, I gave up on Pain. I couldn't figure out the trick. The Moon-face-guy just flashes around and I cannot figure out how to get past (or if I even can). Perhaps that's the PAIN!?
When I get the [interact] prompt, I press "E" key but nothing happens. From output log:
"interact

Yay, it works!
I love the concept of making the player create their own difficulties.
The controls are a little sluggish. ;)
This is an impressive game! Great audio, solid controls and gameplay.
I'm sorry you weren't able to finish. I love this art style and I hope to see more!
For what it's worth: The controls and SFX are spot-on! Even though this is incomplete, it has a very professional feel.
The game is quite difficult! :) But not in a frustrating way. It's fun and I really like the SFX.
