LD19 — Discovery

Abarrane by refrag 2010-12-21T10:35:00

I thought this game was wonderful, and I definitely agree with jcurrie33 that there's an Earthbound-sort of vibe. The theme is perfect for the game - learning about Maslow was never more fun!

Terra Nova by BadgerPriest 2011-01-11T06:21:00

I'm gathering all the reviews for Terra Nova on this page, so here's edg3's review:

LD20 — It's Dangerous to Go Alone! Take This!

VIGILANCE by randomnine 2011-05-04T02:31:00

Too much fun :-)

It's Not Easy Being Muammar by BadgerPriest 2011-05-06T05:10:00

The levels are not deterministic: playing the same level multiple times with the same setup would lead to different results. Fine-tuning the level of randomness was tricky, and judging by the comments, I feel maybe I made it a little too random. On the other hand, I guess that "too random" is better than "not random enough" for this kind of game.

In response to vandriver, moving does have several effects. Moving items in the middle of bombing makes them temporarily more visible. However, moving troops regularly makes them less visible, because their visibility increases fairly rapidly if they stay in one place for a few turns.

Red by elbowroom 2011-05-07T22:48:00

It freezes during the second stage for me. I have version 10,2,154,27.

LD22 — Alone

Not A Soul in the World by BadgerPriest 2011-12-22T00:58:00

Good point, Aaron - I didn't have time to write nearly as much dialog as I wanted to, so the game probably came out significantly harder than I would have liked.

I've posted a new version of the game that gives you hints via the /hint command. I've tried to give away too many spoilers - the hints should just be a nudge in the right direction.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

NSA's Where's Snowden? by Will Edwards 2013-08-28T06:20:00

Doesn't quite fit the theme, but this game is absolutely brilliantly done. I am in awe at just how much you've managed to implement and will have to check out your source code sometime. You guys deserve a medal or something.

Dungeon Deadline by Orni 2013-09-16T00:43:00

Great game! I finally beat it on my third try . Lots of great little touches, like having the three different classes (which I didn't realize when I first started the game) and making the time limit actually be a little longer than 10 seconds. Very fun and fast-paced.

If you work on this game a little more in the future, it would be nice to see different kinds of items and things to pick up in the dungeon.

Castle Clocksworth by My Sweet Whomp 2013-09-17T00:32:00

This is fantastic. Tricky but never frustrating, and the art and music are great. The boss fight was very satisfying to beat.

DEZ by azurenimbus 2013-09-16T00:53:00

Really exciting game, and a great application of the theme. I was surprised at how much depth could be achieved just by varying the speeds of different objects.

10 seconds mecanics by Zaxuhe 2013-08-30T03:41:00

The mechanic is interesting, and I like the strategic component of having to think ahead to what you'll be able to do. Unfortunately, the slipperiness of the platforms makes this game rather frustrating to play.

Pleading Rain by Brassawiking 2013-09-16T13:14:00

This was amazing. It took a lot of tries for me to get to S, but it was definitely worth it. The feeling of dread is really masterfully done.

Hijack Humans Hastily by zeh 2013-08-29T03:30:00

Very cute game with just the right amount of challenge. The randomness makes some playthroughs much harder or easier than others, but that does encourage replay value.

Clockwork Cat by patrickgh3 2013-08-31T00:51:00

This is one of the cutest games I've ever played ^_^

Sky Trader by dekart 2013-08-30T08:35:00

Oh that was nifty. I love dogfighting and trading, so putting the two into one game certainly appeals to me. If you keep working, it'd be cool to make exploration a bigger art of the game, for example, making it necessary to explore different parts of the map to find different resources.

Bomb Defuse Simulator 2013 by Aceria 2013-09-06T21:43:00

If this doesn't win for Innovation, I don't know what's wrong with this world.

RUNTRIS by sgehlich 2013-08-31T00:45:00

Awesome game, a great twist on a classic. It's so hard though! Even without the powerups, placing blocks while jumping is very challenging. I have no idea how the people have gotten to >=1000m.

RGBaY by Temich 2013-08-26T06:16:00

I noticed a small bug: when you restart, your score doesn't go back to zero, but just keeps getting higher.

Spacecrap by celeron55 2013-08-30T03:59:00

Well, the UI looks amazing, but I have no idea what I'm doing. A tutorial or video playthrough would be incredibly helpful for this game. Still, this game looks so great that I have to rate it highly even if I don't quite get what's going on.

10 Seconds by kannas 2013-09-16T13:05:00

Gorgeous game.

10 by Benn 2013-09-05T12:32:00

I was pleasantly surprised by just how fun this game is. And the art style is awesome in its simplicity.

Haraka by gikdew 2013-08-26T22:01:00

Fantastic little game, but around the 6th or 7th checkpoint there's a jump that just seems too pixel-perfect to be doable, like scriptorum said. I wish that I could get past it and see how much further the game goes, but after 50 tries I had to give up.

Meowfinity and Beyond by Cryovat 2013-09-17T00:05:00

Cute game. I wish I could make it past the tractor beam part.

10 10 Second Game Design Lessons by douglasv 2013-09-05T21:51:00

Haha, this is great.

Robot Rodeo by anjack 2013-08-31T00:30:00

Pretty fun, though it would have been nice to see more kinds of upgrades, especially since all of them except health seem to have a cap.

Defusing Emily by ydg 2013-08-26T11:16:00

Well, certainly not what I was expecting. Very, very interesting.

Potato Lagoon by rezoner 2013-08-26T06:36:00

I don't what this is but I like it.

Leveling on borrowed time by Xatulu 2013-08-30T08:09:00

Well done! I like the killing-for-time mechanic, but it's made a little pointless by the sheer number of enemies that appear.

Chicks And Dungeons by Kotstulle 2013-09-16T00:32:00

Interesting game, but the jumping physics are rather annoying, making saving the girls really difficult.

Fireworks by Schulles 2013-08-27T00:29:00

Pretty fun game. Some of the items seemed pretty overpowered though, since after I got the dogfood and gift basket, I had no more enemies to worry about. Also, I was totally not prepared for that ending.

exposure by zillix 2013-09-14T08:09:00

The graphics are amazing, and the gameplay is interesting. Well done!

Crazy Genetist by ratalaika 2013-08-26T20:45:00

Well done, but very difficult.

Feisty Forest by soybean 2013-08-30T03:35:00

Very cute game, and I love the art style. I didn't really understand the bear level but still passed every time (I don't know how!). The boulder level was probably the most fun, but I didn't realize at first that you changed direction every time you paused.

10 Seciond Patriot by mscholz89 2013-08-30T03:53:00

I enjoyed the story. Good job, Brock!

Space-Time Adventure by OldPeculier 2013-08-26T09:28:00

This is really fun, but when you have to save two different people, it is difficult to play because you can't zoom out.

Ghost Pirate's Ship of Treasures by immanuela 2013-08-27T09:42:00

This was fun platformer, but I think the 7th level has an impossible jump in the beginning.

AEREO by manuq 2013-09-06T11:17:00

Beautifully simple game.

Ten Seconds To Live by TiRSO! 2013-09-06T11:14:00

Really well-done mystery. It was tricky at times, but I think the pacing of the game was perfect.

One small issue I noticed though: after the ending scene, you're back in the house again, but with no objective. There should probably be some sort of end-game screen.

Turn Fighter Foo by martymon 2013-08-29T03:37:00

Just played it with a friend and it was very interesting. It's unusual to be able to see the opponent's planned moves in a rock-paper-scissors style game like this, but the ability to clear the move list facilitates quick replanning. I'll have to play this a few more times to see how this impacts strategy exactly.

O by Once Upon a Team 2013-09-09T22:09:00

Lovely ambiance.

Ten Second Takeoff by Taylor 2013-08-27T09:57:00

I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of levels and by the very well-balanced difficulty - some levels were tricky, but none were frustrating. Good job!

Notes of a melody by Zerkruemler 2013-08-30T09:04:00

I always love seeing a completely original idea.

IMPETUS by Dominik Johann 2013-08-27T01:48:00

This is probably the most unique concept I've seen in this competition. Props to you.

ONEMOC: 1 MINUTE OF COLORS by dacap 2013-09-16T00:25:00

1590 points. Fun game with a unique mechanic.

10 Second Roguelike by BadgerPriest 2013-08-26T07:02:00

Brassawiking: Actually, that bit wasn't a bug. You encountered the dreadful grue, which cloaks the dungeon level in darkness until you defeat it.

10 Second Roguelike by BadgerPriest 2013-09-06T21:38:00

@grayhaze: Oh, one small tip - if you're stuck on a dungeon level where the end seems too far away, go for characters with high Speed. Your Speed stat slows down time for you, enabling you to cross more of the dungeon before you die of old age (I should probably have explained this mechanic in the game).

Time Lord by zconnelly13 2013-08-30T03:37:00

The background art is fantastic. I can't seem to get past Level 4, unfortunately.

Taquito Tower by Magdev 2013-08-27T00:42:00

I hope to see more neo-burritocore games in the future. One thing that seemed to make the game really difficult was the fact that you couldn't really attack enemies without them attacking you too.

Taquito Tower by Magdev 2013-08-27T00:55:00

I hope to see more neo-burritocore games in the future. One thing that seemed to make the game really difficult was the fact that you couldn't really attack enemies without them attacking you too.

Dark Interval by alexandervrs 2013-09-05T22:13:00

I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE. Brilliant, brilliant game. I only wish that checkpoints were more frequent, because I can't really get past the crushing blocks part.

The Thief by N0_Named_Guy 2013-08-29T21:47:00

Very addictive game. I'm stuck on the first water level, but I'm gonna keep trying a while longer. I wish I could see the limits to the guards' vision.

Maximilian Lambda Caster by Jwatt 2013-09-05T21:57:00

This is probably the most innovative bullet hell game I've ever played, but it's practically impossible to plan your attacks within the short timespan of the game.

Mr. Sushi! Order Please! by pythong 2013-08-27T10:36:00

This game makes me so hungry for sushi.

Sleep Consultant by flashkick 2013-08-29T03:24:00

I guess now I know what it is that sleep consultants do.

Hyper Furball by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2013-09-06T11:01:00

The gameplay gets pretty repetitive up until the end part, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't amazingly fun. The game length seems perfect, and the upgrade system is very well designed for keeping the game interesting. If you work on it more in the future, adding more types of enemies could really add a lot of replay value to this game.

It lasts longer when you're a genius by Darien 2013-08-29T04:16:00

This is the best use of relativity in a game I've ever seen.

Frozen Braid by blubberquark 2013-08-30T02:59:00

Brilliantly done and a ton of fun.

RELAY by Homletmoo 2013-08-29T06:54:00

Well polished game. Just one small nitpick: I was hoping that there'd be more time-related puzzles and less standing and waiting for the ten seconds to end.

Jackton Factory by Pitʶik4 2013-09-06T11:34:00

Brilliant game, and figuring out how to save the factory felt great. The game would have been a little less frustrating if there was a way to go back to previous characters when you screw up, rather than having to wait until the game ends.

Time Flies Straight by mrspeaker 2013-09-16T23:51:00

My poor brain may never be the same again.

TenTen Rush by Dreauw 2013-08-29T05:58:00

Got 5499. Very well-made, engaging game, and the changing characters made things interesting (I especially liked the VVVVVV-style character).

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Senilescape by Xaychru 2014-05-06T02:08:00

Oh wow, this is amazingly polished. I wish I could get past the third stage, but my reflexes just ain't good enough.

ScubaBear by _Rilem 2014-04-30T19:16:00

A charming, incredibly polished exploration game with a huge amount of things to find and a wonderful dynamic soundtrack!? Where do I sign up?

Ripple Runner by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2014-05-02T02:56:00

So good. Def needs a pause button though.

The Show Must Go On by Sestren 2014-05-07T23:48:00

Amazingly creative idea. I still have yet to impress the audience, but I will keep trying!

Beneath the surface with Sir Walter Wuffington by Larzan 2014-04-30T08:16:00

640 points! Interesting gameplay mechanic, but the whole vertical-slice feature was pretty difficult to wrap my head around.

Lebesgue by myachin 2014-05-06T03:22:00

I was hoping someone would interpret "beneath the surface" topologically! Fantastic experience.

mungo: wrenchlord by 01010111 2014-05-06T02:27:00

Oh man. So good.

Acceptance by zatyka 2014-05-01T01:58:00

Based on your screenshot above, the game is not working correctly for me. I don't see the texts, just floating black boxes. Then when I hover over them the words become visible, but because of this I have no way to earn a high score because I can't tell in advance if the phrase is a positive or negative one.

Beneath the Surf-Ace by FatJoe 2014-05-08T02:05:00

Unfortunately, the web link doesn't seem to work.

Go Below by GagaPete 2014-05-07T00:10:00

Existing sound effects are nice, but definitely could use more/nice mood music. On my second playthrough I missed the star that you have to jump to and there's no way to recover from that, which is a shame. Since the goal is to have the best time I don't think it should become impossible to get it, just that you should have to take some time getting back to the jump spot.

Insane Grandpa by jahlgren 2014-05-03T11:34:00

I wish I could see the plot twist that everyone is talking about, but I just can't for the life of me get past 666.

Beachcomber by Mase 2014-05-06T03:29:00

My god. Simply spectacular. Never stop doing what you're doing.

Anthill by gre 2014-04-30T19:19:00

Ahh, I didn't know you could drag to make tunnels the first time. Maybe make that more clear? It makes a huge difference.

Beneath Europa by Intoxicatious 2014-05-07T02:36:00

Loved the navigating by flashlight sections.

Village By The Lake by KJScott 2014-05-06T07:20:00

Wonderful atmosphere, but the ending is a little anticlimactic, as people have commented.

Infinite Dig Dug by jotson 2014-04-30T19:29:00

259! Really cute game with solid mechanics. It would be nice to have a little more variety in obstacles.

Youdunnit by NightShadow0 2014-05-06T08:34:00

Very fun once I got the hang of it.

Mr. Digger by brofist56489 2014-04-30T08:00:00

So my first many attempts at digging got me nothing and when I ran around and saw how big the world was I almost gave up. But finally I hit a bit of silver and persevered. I got enough money from one spot that I upgraded directly to the diamond one and then digging while running was awesome. But the very very beginning was definitely offputting. Nice graphics and UI and I enjoyed the sound effects.

Princess Fart by jacklehamster 2014-05-04T21:07:00

Haha. I liked the game, but I did have to look at the walkthrough to figure out the bed and the crown. There might be a way to make the puzzles a little clearer within the game, so that the walkthrough isn't required.

Greed for Gems by mortus 2014-05-03T11:39:00

The visuals are amazing, but I can't figure out how to get money and not run out of ladders.

Clean Them'All ! by Tipyx 2014-05-06T07:15:00

Hah, I was not expecting a secret ending.

Bellhook by Colorvade 2014-05-06T01:56:00

I really enjoyed how many different sea creatures there are, all with different behavior. Unfortunately, the control scheme made me click outside of the game a lot -- some sort of fullscreen mode would probably be ideal for a game like this.

Dog Hunt by tikilittle 2014-05-07T23:33:00

Great idea and well executed. Resizeable window would have been nice though as the bottom part of the screen was cut off (MacbookPro) and I couldn't see my score after playing. Also not getting the tie in to the theme...

Three Paths by crneumre 2014-05-03T23:24:00

I like the three-path concept, but the difficulty didn't seem to be all that different between the three choices a lot of the time, and the rooms did become a little repetitive over time.

Strawberry in the Underworld by Manky 2014-05-06T23:55:00

I love the above/below ground puzzle style. Agree with all the other comments though about the floatiness of the jump mechanic.

AHH LAVA! by Dreii 2014-05-08T06:51:00

A rather unique concept that works pretty well. I think that spamming bombs can make it a little too easy though.

War Meeting by Dr_V 2014-05-03T12:16:00

I feel dumb for not being able to beat this on normal difficulty after a half-dozen tries. I understand what all the meeting types do, but it seems like no matter what I do, the stats get worse faster than they get better.

Regardless, amazing and unique game!

Totems by Brian Stegmann 2014-05-07T00:30:00

Really great concept. I agree with all the rest though about the difficulty of figuring out the order of the notes. I got stuck on one of them for way way too long because it was not at all clear enough that the same note was being repeated twice since it otherwise sounded like a long note with 3 more after it.

Splitted by CodeHat 2014-04-30T09:29:00

Cool concept, but man is the difficulty extreme. Maybe the hitboxes on the sprites should be a few pixels smaller.

Beneath The Surface Tablet by EvilObjective 2014-04-30T04:19:00

I'm really happy that at least someone made a Surface tablet pun.

Beneath The Surface Tablet by EvilObjective 2014-04-30T04:42:00

Sounds worked fine for me, great choice of sound effects. I thought the addition of the bad firewall was clever, would definitely want to see it more in future levels. I also liked the rolling mechanism.

Yet Another Zombie Outbreak by KeinBaum 2014-05-07T02:06:00

Standing in the corner and mashing buttons got me 11,680 pts. Also, I noticed my health bar going up slowly at some points, which is a nice reward for evading danger.

Kraken by Kate Kligman 2014-05-06T09:05:00

Simple but enjoyable.

Mermaid Scientist Massacre by pancakecity 2014-04-30T08:39:00

Fun game! I loved the charming beginning and end artwork.

It would have been interesting if there were more obstacles. The nets in particular were so easy to break out of by jumping that the scientists didn't pose a threat at any point.

A Miner's Life by Gap 2014-05-07T02:18:00

Magnetic power is awesome!

Dwarves & Goblins by PlasterPhantom 2014-05-06T23:40:00

Also getting the blackbox issue here. I know you're working it. If it helps though, the ones I got seemed to be stationary small ones - perhaps animated miners when they aren't running from goblins? I couldn't see them the whole time. Other than that some of the attack animations were black boxed but then went away afterwards (W attack I think). The most problematic was using R, which I assume to be 6 giant hammers all at once. Those blackboxes stayed the whole rest of the game, basically ruining the whole experience because they cover so much.

Hopelessness by lantto 2014-04-30T08:34:00

Took a bit to figure out what's going on, but the multiplayer aspect of this is absolutely brilliant. Wow.

The coolest level: http://imgur.com/pbanPJI
The current lowest level: http://imgur.com/ZwXXruM

I also didn't notice until restarting from the top and looking at the screenshots that the unexplored dirt zones started at yellow and gradually are approaching black. So good.

Tick Attack by hanoth 2014-05-03T01:27:00

Nice take on the theme!

Baum by Waterman7 2014-05-08T06:26:00

Really digging the silent-movie vibe.

Under Our Feet by NicoM 2014-05-06T07:46:00

I really want to like this (the art style for one is fantastic), but the lack of checkpoints and inability to use arrow keys makes this a rather unforgiving game for me.

The fight beneath the surface by Caridorc 2014-05-03T23:36:00

Certainly a unique experience and the funniest game I've played so far.

Asteroid Tycoon by BadgerPriest 2014-04-30T18:46:00

@Maschinen-Mensch Thanks for the feedback. I'm curious, how long did you play? There are 5 asteroids and they get progressively more difficult, so the first is very easy. Maybe the player should be made aware of the other planets sooner?

Asteroid Tycoon by BadgerPriest 2014-04-30T19:47:00

For everyone bothered by the music, I added a mute-music button to the top right.

Asteroid Tycoon by BadgerPriest 2014-05-07T07:37:00

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that NicoM :-(

Sharks With Feelings by fermenter 2014-04-30T04:29:00

When I tried opening it I got a warning that the file was damaged and couldn't be opened. (MacbookPro, Mavericks)

Jupiter Lander by IvanDashSmith 2014-04-30T05:33:00

Wow, this is very addictive. Far more difficult than I was expecting, but that's part of the fun!

Soul Ninja by nicotoni 2014-05-07T02:50:00

Pretty cool. Wish there were alternative controls for the mouse clicks since it makes it extra challenging to play on a laptop without one.

The Hole Thing by TheExGenesis 2014-05-12T04:38:00

Solid. I loved the accumulation of dead bodies.

No Eyes Willy by blockbot 2014-05-08T06:59:00

Cute! I accidentally got Willy stuck on one of the later levels -- it would be nice if there was a way to restart a level.

Keep the Gem! by lukepilgrim 2014-04-30T09:43:00

Very fun mechanic, though extremely difficult to actually get out. I spent a good 15 minutes on it before giving up. Not being able to shoot upwards made me more or less powerless against other thieves jumping on me and taking the diamond underneath a pile of corpses.

To Surface by NeithR 2014-05-03T23:41:00

I'm still trying to figure out how I managed to commit suicide in the first cave.

the Attack - Beneath the Surface by Franklin's Ghost 2014-05-03T01:32:00

Really digging the unique aesthetic here! This could become a pretty cool game with more variety of monsters / things to do.

Beneath the Surface - a 2D Puzzle-Platformer by JoshOS 2014-05-07T01:43:00

Played through the whole thing. Had a little trouble with level 11 (jar) where sometimes when the lower char would fall to the lava the game would crash. Eventually got past it though.

Extremely well done on the balancing. A little punishing when you'd get almost to the end of the longer puzzles and then have to restart, but that just makes my satisfaction at finishing the game that much better.

Poopy Kitty Defense by burquitlambadgers 2014-05-07T00:49:00

Could use some laxatives, it's a little too hard. :D

Robot Digger 3000 by fernandomdr 2014-05-06T09:02:00

Mind Therapy by Detective Pixel 2014-05-01T00:27:00

Simply lovely.

Sanctums by Galvus 2014-05-07T01:59:00

Multiplayer wasn't working even when I had a friend go to the site at the same time. Too bad because it looks like it could be hilarious. Love the art style and exploding bunnies. The wall run instead of a regular jump is a bit strange and pretty off-putting as it doesn't feel easy to mash the spacebar while controlling my direction, and I haven't even had to add in shooting with the mouse at the same time yet.

FoxyTank by matthias_zarzecki 2014-05-08T06:33:00

Nice level of polish, but the controls seemed confusing to me. Why not have A and D turn rather than strafe?

OVER/FISH by Farfin 2014-05-06T07:56:00

33. Wow, that was both significantly more challenging and a lot more fun than I was expecting from a drop-the-hook fishing game. Very cool!

COVERUP by SFBTom 2014-05-03T11:54:00

Really great concept, though I ended up scanning people more or less randomly each turn. It could be cool if there were very slight visual variations between the people.

Reaper by LastResortGames 2014-05-06T03:03:00

Surprisingly fun once I figured out how the game worked. It's a shame that the people tend to cluster up a little, making it difficult or impossible to hit a single target.

The Leeway Brothers' Bohemian Debut Of A Lifetime by Jwatt 2014-05-06T08:07:00

Wow, really great concept, though I had to quit about 5 minutes in because it got too stressful to play with so many notes everywhere. I'm really excited to see what you can do with this idea in the future.

Igneous by torcado 2014-05-06T07:40:00

Fiendishly clever puzzle. No matter how I look at it, level 11 doesn't look beatable.

Declivity by bushmango 2014-04-30T10:10:00

Yeah, I was definitely the leading cause of death for these kitties.

You are a metro car by fserb 2014-04-30T08:22:00

248!! Hands down the most fun game I've played in LD29 so far.

Sub Human by AdamSwaggoner 2014-05-08T01:31:00

The links don't work any more. "This tracking link is no longer available."

BENEATH the SURFACE by soy_yuma 2014-05-08T02:26:00

Great game. Took me a while to figure out that holding the arrow made the jump last longer.

RMBR by Pitoum 2014-05-14T17:36:00

Wow, a stunningly unique take on the text adventure genre. Brilliant writing as well.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Connect with the Dirt by Larzan 2014-08-26T18:10:00

Interesting idea, but I wish it were possible to take back already-placed blocks. I ended up placing a few in slightly wrong places.

devoid by Jake Coxon 2014-08-26T16:14:00

Great little strategy game! I really enjoyed the minimalist style. The rules were a little confusing to figure out at first - namely, the fact that each spaceship represents half the ships at the planet it comes from.

Bipolar World by havana24 2014-08-27T12:46:00

It took some time, but I finally managed to get all the pills :-)

Connected Worlds by YopSolo 2014-08-27T10:48:00

Neat gameplay mechanic! I think it would work a little better if you could see where the places you can grab hold are ahead of time.

Intergalactic Express by Dining Philosopher 2014-08-27T19:20:00

Great puzzle game. Would be nice if it had a restart mission option for when you already know you messed up and don't want to wait til you fly off screen. Also I felt like the relationship between fuel and turns was not 100% clear. I felt like sometimes I could do a small turn and no fuel was taken but other times not? I agree though, this would make a good mobile game. :)

ConnectTheWorlds by mrexcessive 2014-08-26T16:29:00

Interesting take on the lander genre, though the physics seem rather wonky and the game gets a little silly at the really high-gravity planets.

I think I must have not done the levels in the intended order, as I got the message about fixing the virus before I got the virus in the first place.

The Farthest Possible Place by disease 2014-08-27T19:45:00

Great concept. Maybe gets too hard too fast. The first parking space seemed fine, but then the second one ramped up the difficulty quite a bit. Curious about the vortex looking image you have uploaded but I'm not patient enough to play enough to get to parking space 3.

CMYK by PixelArtM 2014-08-27T00:54:00

Interesting aesthetic, but it got a bit tedious doing the same jump over and over.

Savior: Saver of Souls by John Drury 2014-08-26T20:58:00

I really enjoyed the feel of this. Got pretty challenging once the lava rose - I haven't been able to get past 130 yet.

Die in another world by Posva 2014-08-26T21:12:00

Wow, that gets hard. Near the middle of the game I just had to skip every level :-(

Fun concept and great look and feel though!

Accelerated-Life by Makio64 2014-08-26T17:07:00

Really interesting artistic idea. The gameplay is a little bland but it gets just different enough to keep the player engaged.

I'm not sure how well it fits the theme, though.

zero_sum by FakeHair 2014-08-27T00:40:00

1450 is my best. Fun, but tricky!

The curse of the Pharaoh by Peni6 2014-08-27T18:15:00

Hmm, I think it's being buggy for me? I can't go through it up to the boulder and then the boulder will stop rolling after it passes the second hole, sometimes after the first. I also haven't seen any recordings of other people's ghosts. Otherwise enjoyable and I really like the art style.

Dominions'n'dominoes by Benjamin 2014-08-27T13:56:00

I can't stop playing this game.

Warehouse Wobbles by hectormorlet 2014-08-30T18:56:00

Great mechanic! You can definitely do more with it if you want.

The blinking background was a bit much and too distracting.

Space Vikings by sharpcoder 2014-08-26T17:40:00

A lot of fun, but it's not always clear why I can't do certain options. Regardless, I kept playing over and over :-)

Para & Lell by lonewookie 2014-08-27T19:54:00

Hoped to see more levels. One major gripe though - the pixel perfect fit of the characters in the corridors without also having them snap the right alignment would be murder in a longer game. I accidentally moved a character to the side first and it was impossible to get it to line up again, I had to refresh the page and start over.

Planetary Escape by peejaygee 2014-08-26T17:18:00

I can't get past the first level. I wish the controls were a bit nicer, as I keep getting stuck at corners :-/

Viking Runner by Frump 2014-08-26T21:04:00

I have no idea what exactly what going on but I loved every minute of it.

Drift Off by DrMelon 2014-08-26T20:28:00

Very interesting idea, and I really enjoyed the art style as well. It would have been especially cool if the gameplay changed a little too based on previous dreams, rather than just the visuals, but I can understand that being too much work.

I couldn't beat the "reminsce" level in any scenario, because the wall jump didn't seem to work a lot of the time.

Close Your Eyes by nonetheless 2014-08-26T17:41:00

Really cool concept!

Divided World by OadT 2014-08-26T20:08:00

Nice interpretation of the theme!

Incursion by AccountNo17 2014-08-27T00:59:00

Hey, this was a lot of fun! It would be even better with some sort of progression. I liked the different weapons, but it would be cool if you had to pick up weapons/ammo rather than starting with every weapon.

Elemental Connection by Rialgar 2014-08-27T23:18:00

Soooo goood!

Massive Relay by gltovar 2014-08-27T19:10:00

Yeah, took me a bit. I like the idea - my team had a similar one at first - but right now I can't picture how you'd keep up with so many at once unless the interface and controls were a lot more helpful, like when a call is connected and cleared the wires reset automatically maybe. Just a lot of clicking to deal with.

Translation Points by quadtree 2014-08-27T18:54:00

Is there a win screen? I've been playing for awhile now - took me a long time to realize returning to the mothership would recharge your health. I've gotten the engine back several times now where it looks like it's been plugged back in, but then after 10sec or so a bad guy comes and steals it again and the game just seems to go on and on.

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-08-26T15:56:00

Great graphics and music, but the sea urchin guys are pretty difficult and it gets frustrating have to restart the level each time you hit one.

World Portals by Keevinw 2014-08-26T16:00:00

Surprisingly fun once I realized I could wall- and ceiling-jump.

Clashing Galaxies by lkr 2014-08-26T19:41:00

The aesthetic with the influence display is fantastic, and gameplay is solid. It's a shame that resources are accumulated so quickly though - I had to play basically the whole game while paused to make decisions quickly enough to win.

Rest In Peace by kenrickrilee 2014-08-26T18:03:00

Ooh, very good implementation of a multiple-dimensions mechanic. Gameplay is just the right amount of challenging.

Muju Juju by bjorn 2014-08-26T19:09:00

So great! It's a little slow to start though, so getting upgrades doesn't feel very feasible until right when it gets so hard that I need all my juice to make minions. I'll be playing it more though to see if there's a better order of upgrades, some of them seem super cool. Overall super great.

This Way! by Accidental Rebel 2014-08-26T18:31:00

Very polished game and an interesting mechanic. Gameplay is pretty addictive once I got the hang of it.

Tin Can Internet by fserb 2014-08-26T16:50:00

Wow, what a fun original game concept!

I really enjoyed the way the game mechanics work: penalizing speed based on cable length encourages the player to make more interesting paths, and I like how you get bounced but not killed when you hit a planet.

Top score so far: 141.

Scribble Death by chrupp 2014-08-26T18:15:00

Interesting idea. Unfortunately, I seemed to get stuck on the spike in the upper-right corner - I kept dying and was unable to move out of the way of the spike as I came back to life.

Our Dream World by PapyPilgrim 2014-08-27T20:14:00

Fun to play - as others said, once I figured it out. I think that the different images for tile types before vs after being placed doesn't really help with that. Also was unclear why sometimes tiles would be greyed out and I couldn't place tiles on them. And the end of the game (round?) happened all of a sudden. Like I didn't know when the game would end and then it did and I got a score screen that didn't fully make sense and when I tried clicking on it I got sent into a new game, which was a bit frustrating. Those UX things aside, great concept and game mechanic, fun to play.

Wyrmhole by njmcode 2014-08-27T17:51:00

The wormhole either didn't work or I'm confused about how to use them. I would fly on top of it and press spacebar and nothing seemed to happen. Otherwise the gameplay seems pretty solid.
