LD26 — Minimalism

The Boy Who Leapt Through Planets by ydg 2013-04-29T08:57:00

What are you guys talking about? He's just shooting a laser gun which just happens to be stuck in his crotch. It's not fun, he's probably in pain every time he shoots ;_;

At first the game was meant to be a lot smaller, and jumping would scale in a more natural way. Yet I still wanted the last jump to be a really big one. So no planification = Bad.

The collision with enemies is awkward because I didn't implement a good hitbox. Touching them from the right or the left will hurt you, but jumping on them will hurt you... sometimes.

Anyways, thanks a lot for the feedback!

Defusing Emily by ydg 2013-08-27T22:29:00

It seems my hosting is down right now. I just changed the links, although it doesn't seem like it works well on Firefox. In Chrome seems to work fine.
As soon as my hosting comes back I'll change them again.

Thanks everyone for your feedback!

LD28 — You Only Get One

Redneck Safari by pereubu 2013-12-16T11:39:00

Best main menu ever!
The game itself is very fun, although bushes and trees are maybe too overpowered :D, you can pretty much extinct all the animals while hidden once you get the improved rifle. Great job!

Party of One by ydg 2013-12-16T08:11:00

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

- I used the same spritefont for the entire game, so yeah, you're completely right, I should have used another one for the numbers.
- I would have liked to put a little fanfare, but time wasn't really on my side and I'm quite bad at making music and sounds, so I just used that sound to indicate that the battle was over. It doesn't feel much as a victory, right?
- I actually planned to! It's a shame I didn't have enough time though. Fighting the same enemy over and over might get quite boring, and that would have spiced up the game.

And thank you for playing it! :D

@kyyrma
I even thought of adding magic and spells learned by level, the usual rpg stuff. But yeah, time issues.
About the filesize, not much I can do, Construct 2 doesn't handle exporting to exe as well as it should. The Web version is just 2 Mb!
Yes, Clay.io lets you to add achievements, leaderboards (in this case), and such to your game.
Autotracker, indeed! Quite recognizable, but gets the job done :D.

Again, thanks everyone for playing!

Party of One by ydg 2013-12-17T11:15:00

I just did some tweaks so you can reach the final boss a bit more easily, since most people didn't go beyond level 19. I'm quite surprised @the, who actually managed to do it!

Darkness will crush me by ExtreLime 2013-12-16T13:01:00

Short but intense, the music helped a lot to get the perfect mood. Good job!

Wilhelm's Escape by glovecat 2013-12-17T03:11:00

Wasn't able to go beyond the sex shop card. Great game anyways!

Our Story by CarlsonAndPeeters 2013-12-16T15:06:00

Fantastic level design and good use of the theme. Nice way of telling the story as well. Had a great time with it. Good job!

Straight Ahead by Ipsio 2013-12-16T13:32:00

If you press Left-Right fast enough when restarting a level, you get to move in both ways as long as you don't press the switches. You might want to get that fixed.
Great job, anyways! Really good level design, nice music and art and solid gameplay. Quite challenging too!

The Man who Never Came Back by narsil 2013-12-16T13:11:00

The second time I jumped, the poor man got stuck in the ceiling :(. Resetted and it didn't happen again.
It's a shame you didn't finish it, the controls were good, and the walking animation and the cutscenes were pretty well done. Good job on your first LD!

Nature's Howl by louis.denizet 2013-12-16T12:24:00

Great art, and the music helped a lot to get the right mood. And you can have a giant army of rats by the end of the game, since they don't cost that much :D.

Love, Bullet, Minute by the 2013-12-16T14:45:00

Once I understood what I had to do, I enjoyed it a lot! I really liked the visual effect in the Minute phase. Good job!

Great interpretation of the theme and fun mechanics. The "one" and "two" sounds were a very nice touch.

Someone's F***ing Hitler by biscuitdough 2013-12-16T09:26:00

I enjoyed interacting (and shooting) with everything. Nice touch that even shooting the furniture has an outcome. Good job!

Princess Kingdom by ncannasse 2013-12-16T09:12:00

Loved it! Great graphics and solid gameplay. Quite a lot of content as well, you always have something to do.
Great job!
