LD22 — Alone

The End by kebabskal 2011-12-20T07:59:00

Thanks guys! Your critique is well grounded. I do think that it fits the theme since you only control one character at a time and, as you said, they don't interact. In my mind that kinda raises the "alone-ness" of the game.

LD23 — Tiny World

Tiny Wizard by kebabskal 2012-04-24T09:32:00

Thanks Papy! And good idea, done that now!

Tiny Wizard by kebabskal 2012-04-25T07:50:00

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

I am aware of the "enemy stuck in wall problem". I'm trying to make a real fix for it.
(Might have figured it out while writing this comment actually ;))

In the meanwhile, enemies auto-die after 30s.
You can also usually kill them with bombs.

LD27 — 10 Seconds

TILE PLACEMENT by DuduSAr 2013-08-27T21:51:00

Neat idea. However it felt very bad to have to drag every block every step. Also the bases and the blocks could be more different. Found myself trying to drag the wrong thing a couple of times.

DungeonRaider by Dioiminik 2013-08-27T21:29:00

Pretty good, feels a bit unfinished tho. I like the idea a lot! :)

Once upon a flight by infinitedog 2013-08-27T21:55:00

OSX download link screwed up. Fixed it, but the game doesn't run :( (osx 10.8.3)

Second Base by Beardo Games 2013-08-27T21:23:00

Haha! Great idea. Love that it's not a time based thingie :)

One Way by flavio 2013-08-27T21:37:00

Relaxing and good looking :)

Freeze Box by SamC 2013-08-27T22:07:00

Good use of theme. I liked the faces on the cubes and the lighting effect!

Labyten by rejome 2013-08-27T20:47:00

This is awesome! Simple and pure. And the music is just killer :) My girlfriend both found ourself humming along. I got to level 102 before I got tired of it.

Save the Stars! by anmorales 2013-08-27T21:00:00

Not very touchpad friendly. But i guess it would work a lot better on a touchscreen device :)

Lava Race by Boodog 2013-08-27T20:53:00

Doesn't start on OSX 10.8.3. Just a gray window :/

Wordz by Grafter 2013-08-27T20:57:00

Very hard, and not very touchpad friendly :)

Mechanical Madness by Thermite 2013-08-27T21:42:00

Platform controls are great. The theme feels a little forced. But sorta fun game :)

MumiaSnowdenManning by Pinktreeleaf 2013-08-27T21:13:00

Lovely! Nice to see some "serious" games here. Perfect medium to talk about this stuff. Had a good time!

Placeholder by teamenschede 2013-08-27T21:06:00

Too complicated for my little mind :) I know it's lazy, but I didn't feel like reading a whole lot.

Every Ten Seconds A Kitten Drowns by matthias_zarzecki 2013-08-27T20:26:00

Who can say no to kittens? :) Didn't understand that you had to return to the rescue station to actually save tehm kittiiies.

Very nice! Good gameplay, Fits theme well, Nice pixel art. Good job!

10s Zombies by Myyyvothrr 2013-08-27T21:47:00

Liked the idea, but gameplay a bit felt slow for it to be a homerun. Great with ingame tutorial "comic" :)

Mech-Man by woodecker 2013-08-27T21:20:00

Nice graphics! Didn't really understand the mechanics. What does the weapons do, etc.

Beth & Maggie by kebabskal 2013-08-28T04:22:00

Thank you so much for your kind words! Really heartwarming. I think the shaders are a bit heavy for some graphics cards.

Beth & Maggie by kebabskal 2013-08-30T07:22:00

xndr: Nopes, there should be 8 or something :)

Beth & Maggie by kebabskal 2013-08-30T18:42:00

Sergey Mohov: Haha, totally. One of my favorite games ever :) Thanks!

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Light Year Wars by nicotuason 2014-08-27T06:42:00

Easily my favourite so far. Had a blast playing it :) Perfectly balanced for my skills. The clean graphics style is great, emphasises the strategic elements. AI was pretty good and level progressing felt perfect. Good job!

ORBII by Lars Faust 2014-08-26T20:17:00

Lovely visuals. Don't really understand the gameplay, but the execution was great!

Planetsmacker by Moocowsgomoo 2014-08-26T20:08:00

Oddly satisfying :)

Souzou Cliff by PixlWalkr 2014-09-04T19:26:00

Controls are just terrible. Unreliable and floaty. Even the easiest platforming was nigh impossible. I managed to push a box into a pit and found no way to cross. I wanted to play because of the promise of story, but I only got two lines before I was forced to quit. Graphics and style are the games strong points. Please make a fixed version, I want to play this through :)

Warehouse Wobbles by hectormorlet 2014-08-26T20:27:00

Didn't get it at first, you could have used the colors more effectively. For example connect the player colors to which crates they could move. Once I figured it out, it was quite interesting :) Liked the music!

Enduring Atlas by dickpoelen 2014-08-26T20:45:00

Played it solo, and had sort of a hard time understanding what things did ad why. Visuals are nice and the overall execution was good :)

Good News Delivery Co. by DragonXVI 2014-08-26T20:32:00

Really nice! Felt polished. Superb music and audio :) Great job!

Your Glorious War by coleott 2014-08-26T20:52:00

Gorgeous sprites. Totally incomprehensible gameplay :)

Let's be friends! (But some will die) by RFMTeam 2014-08-26T10:51:00

Really sweet and stylish graphics! I had a very tough time accomplishing anything due to terrible mouse lag that appeared after third guy spawned :/
(Chrome on OSX on high end macbook pro)

Inspirational Planets by Skywilly 2014-08-27T06:09:00

I don't get the gameplay, but the music is ace! :)

Parallel Horizons by kebabskal 2014-09-17T05:00:00

Thanks for all the kind words and votes! Got me a first place in Graphics and 18th overall. Thanks, and thanks again!

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Boom Blade Battle Brigade by Riocide 2014-12-11T08:08:00

Unfortunately don't have any friends or a controller, but the title screen and screenshots look great. Title music was awesome :)

Swotch by Ulydev 2014-12-11T08:38:00

Love the aesthetics. The music made me want to play longer. I would have liked the game to be just a little bit easier. Part of it is that the gravity switching seems a little bit erratic. Sometimes the box go outside the screen before switching sometimes it feels like it switches as soon as one edge touch the edge of the screen. The slowmo feature didn't help me at all. Went away too quickly and I didn't have focus enough to engage it in time.

Small tweaks and you have a winner :D

Birdy Bird by WisdomUnit 2014-12-11T08:29:00

Super annoying interface. I get what you were going for, but nah, not user friendly. Very meh flappyclone gameplay.

In my first run the first wall was solid, no hole to fly through. Bug?

I would have liked to see more feedback from the game. Buttons should signal that they have been pressed, otherwise it hard to follow what happens. Maybe you could have added some screen-shake when the bird hits the wall. A screen flash when the bird goes through a hole?

In a game like this its important that I can start over very quickly when I die. What you do here is have me move my mouse, click the restart text (a VERY slow fade start, hardly noticable), another hardly noticable fade-in happens in the start screen, I then have to move my mouse over to the title screen, I click the play button, nothing happens, I have to wait until fully faded in until I can click. Game restarts. I immediately fly into the second wall and have to go through all that again...

Work a little more on the user experience next time and you'll be good :)

The music is lovely :) Whistling along to it here in the office.

HYPERPLASM by ciaodavinci 2014-12-11T08:05:00

Have neither a friend nor a controller. Looks like it could be fun, but didn't really get to test it. Would have been good if the info screen in game told me (or atleast hinted) that this was multiplayer only. Music was annoying. I really like the colors and the glow in the screenshot!

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Hyperspace by dekart 2015-12-16T17:01:00

Pretty fun, got quite hectic quick :)

Sadu - Clown For Hire by hoqjed 2015-12-15T17:45:00

I don't get it.

Grava-Switch by danidre14 2015-12-16T17:29:00

Pretty good ideas. Controls did feel very unresponsive tho. Reading the text I get how the themes apply, but didn't really see it in game. With some polish this could be real fun. Check out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdEqssNZ-U for ideas on how to make the game feel better :D

Dungeon Dog by uncade 2015-12-15T17:40:00

Decent! I liked the song. Had me humming along.
Gameplay is a bit stale. Forgot about the Poop and Vomit buttons but was able to finish anyway.

Bud the Gardener by xdigdoug 2015-12-16T17:04:00

I don't quite get it. What is the goal? Enjoyed the rain :)

The Drunken Executioner by karlipoppins 2015-12-16T17:33:00

Couldn't get it to work. When I first started the game it got stuck in a loop on the "how to play" menu. The second time i tried x and c did nothing on the menu screen :(

Flobe by Skinny Jean Death 2015-12-15T18:03:00

Tried with PS4 gamepad on Windows but the game crashes whenever I press anything :/ From what I can tell, graphics are pretty cool!

Feed Me! by UrbanHelsing 2015-12-16T17:13:00

Not bad! Didn't bother to download OpenAL. Too many games to try :) Btw. From your names it looks like you are a bunch of swedes like me. Tumme upp!

FLOW by Romixal 2015-12-16T17:48:00

Great aesthetics. Sounds and looks very polished. Don't really know what to do. Should have played fullscreen and just zoned out I guess. Sweet, good job!

WAR GROWTH by Trasevol_Dog 2015-12-15T17:49:00

Smart! I didn't expect to like this, but it was great :)

Save the World by Berserker_Chris 2015-12-16T17:16:00

I don't get it. No trees grew for me. Then it seemed like I randomly died for no reason.

Holiday Rejects by local306 2015-12-16T17:43:00

Awesome. Surprisingly hard to manage queue up stuff in your head and push the buttons on the right time. Enjoyed that you actually used physics when pushing the presents. GJ!

Avalanche by Kvyosh 2015-12-15T17:59:00

It's soooo slow? Why not speed it up a whole bunch? Think could actually be pretty fun if it was just faster.

Does the ball eventually get bigger? Didn't ever for me.
If it does, nice play on both themes :)

Didn't get wether or not the red dudes killed you, seemed to happen only sometimes?

Anyway, good try!

Son by Henriq 2015-12-15T17:54:00

Feels a little bit stiff. Graphics are pretty decent. I liked the soundtrack.

There is text saying "Button" on top of the buttons on the main menu,

Magnetic by anshulsinghxd 2015-12-16T17:21:00

A decent one actually :) The little triangle stuff that was attracted to you was a nice touch. Maybe the magnetic fields could be visualised better. But overall solid. GJ!

Carket by StelarCF 2015-12-16T17:38:00

I liked it. Very simple and to the point. UltraHD was the most fun.
