Nice graphics and cool setting but somehow the jumping physics felt a bit weird. Because of that it's quite hard to actually get through a level without dying alot which is a bit frustrating. But nevertheless impressive what you did in only 48h. Congrats :)

Never player a roguelike with only 8 tiles, that's a tiny world :) Had fun playing. Liked the combat texts :)
Nice game, i liked the graphics and the sound. Played for about 5 minutes, then I died and had to start over again. I mean it's some sort of roguelike and they are known to be hard, but i think it's a bit unfair that you die from just one hit and you have no way to defend yourself besides the potions.

My game is quite similiar to yours :) Gameplay is smooth and fun, but gets a bit repetetiv after a while. I really dig the music :)
I think i broke it (it froze after i've evolved for the fourth time) :( the graphics are great. Fun little game :)
Worked for me, here are a few notes:
- player sprite color too similiar to the background color
- "moon" physics when jumping
- walking feels really awkward (like walking on ice)
- game breaking bug: couldn't make the first jump in the fourth level for about 5 times, then i didn't lose any health when touching the lava and therefore was trapped down there (had to restart the game and start over)
- don't see how this fits the theme
Datw: yeah, but you can't get out of the lava because the other platforms are too high up. so you get stuck down there and you have to restart the game in order to fix that :/

Awesome! The idea on how to get to bank is really great. And when you finally get there you have to fight your way back. That was really fun :D The art style is pretty and the music is awesome. The only thing that's missing are some cool sound effects :)

What you have seemes like a nice concept. The scrolling is really smooth, i like that :) i accidentally walked outside of the view and that crashed the game :(
Great first game mate :) It's a bit unbalanced, though. I can't get to the point where I feel comfortable attacking a village because i have to few minions. And if I let them "reproduce" they need to much food. That's when I go for pillaging but that leads to losing the minions I just got. Best thing about this: the random events. They are hilarious! My favorite so far is the one where a minion falls off a wall and they use his dead body to make MinionFood(TM)

Yay for jazzy intro theme :) Neat little tower defense like. I really like how you made the levels since you really have to think how to beat them. One thing is disliked was the placing of the towers. It would be easier if you could see the radius before actually placing them. One thing that is really misssing is the theme, though :(

@jahlgren Thanks for playing :) I've spent a long time trying to balance it. I thought it would be good if the game starts easy and becomes harder the further you get. Besides that, the difficulty depents heavily on the upgrades that spawn / you pick up. The idea behind that was that there is a reason to move around. Before I've implemented the upgrades you could basicly just stand near to the princess and that was too boring :)
@Birchmountain Sorry about that :( yeah the pathfinding is really not that great, it was quite hard to implement that in such short time. If your minion is still selected, it helps to just click again on the destination tile. That will update his path. Anyways, thanks for playing :)
@jhrrsn any error messages? try to open it via console (java -jar ld25.jar)
@atrodo The shield increases your max health and the sword increases your damage :) I wanted to add that to the instructions but the time played against me :/
@wzl Defenitely wanted to implement traps and barricades. Had to cancel that feature because of time issues ;(
@Niavlys Yeah, it's not really optimized for phonescreens, the tiles are a bit too small. Also, the filters won't work :)

@Deril of course i've drawn them by myself. I know that they look like the oryx ones, but that was not really intentional. I wanted to use 16x16 sprites, but since they take more time to draw, I've decided to go for 8x8 sprites. I'll upload the timelapse within the next few days, so you can see that i have NOT painted over the oryx sprites or something like that.

The "engine" was developed during the 30 hours. I've only used the libgdx framework and a few helper classes for texture stuff, playing music etc. I've linked the source if you want to have an in-depth look on how i did this :)
